Was told the medication would be ready by 3pm. Got there, waited in line, was then told they hadnt finished the medication. It wouldnt be ready until 5:30pm! Our dog needed this medication by 6pm. We live outside of albuquerque! This was our first experience with this pharmacy. Not impressed. If the medication wasnt going to be ready when they said it would be, a phone call would have been nice.

First time here and two concerns. I dropped off my prescription around 11am and was told it would be ready after 2pm. It was not ready when i came back at 2pm. I had to wait for it to be made. Secondly roxanne was extremely rude to me and seemed that it was more important to gossip with her coworkers than to help customers. She was very unprofessional and i will not be spending my money at a pharmacy like this.

I have called this business twice in the past year. The first time I talked to someone on the phone who took my contact information and I told them about the medication I needed to have compounded. The person answering the phone was obviously not interested in getting the information and, although not exactly rude, was definitely not feeling helpful. I was told they would check on it and call me back. No one ever called. Recently I called them again. Someone took my information and said they would call me back. Several days passed and I called them back. I was curtly told that the medication I wanted could not be obtained. There was no apology, no suggestion about what to do next - nothing. I'm skeptical that the person answering the phone even checked the status. The answer was given without even a moment of thought. I called a different compounding pharmacy in town and had my medication within 48 hours. Obviously it was possible to obtain. I definitely DO NOT recommend this pharmacy.

I had the worst experience at this pharmacy today. I've heard bad things in the past and didn't listen...I had to experience it for myself. Next time there is a bad review on something i'll listen! Customers beware...take my advice...use another pharmacy!!!

These guys are genuinely caring and efficient people. It is a family owned and operated and they make you feel like your a part of their family. They are the only people that carry my meds and have made exceptions for me giving me a brand name for a generic price just because they didn't have generic in stock. My doctor recommended I use them. Even though they are quite the drive for me, I don't mind, because this is a one of a kind personable pharmaceutical experience.

They evidently have been "burned" by making prescriptions and people refusing them or not picking them up at all. They insist you sit while they compound your Rx or prepay with credit card. This strikes me as off-putting and showing a lack of trust with their customers and I did not.like the attitude. Also, my.provider spoke directly with one of the pharmacist/owners who quoted $63 for my order but, I was vehemently charged $75claiming the quote was a "mistake." I will go elsewhere in the future. And, the parking is abysmal!

I have used Menaul Compound Pharmacy for a couple of years. No complaints...... But, when I had an issue and complained , they did not listen to my issue. I feel they were so busy trying to defend themselves . I called in a refill. They should have had the doc fax a RX over. 6 days later, I went in the pharmacy . No one knew anything about my refill. OK! I explained the situation. I then called late the next day , and still no one knew anything about it. I said I was having my RX transferred. They said I had a history of getting upset ... I looked at that. I really don't understand because I have had no other issues. I do now. Unfortunately I will never go back. Sad how they couldn't excep any responsibility for their actions.

I have been using this pharmacy for over a year and have not experienced anything but great service. The staff are personable and friendly and make every transaction painless for me. In regards to an older review, I have tattoos showing when I go in and have never had a problem. I highly recommend this pharmacy!

Provided a pet prescription for a year supply of an elixir (shelf stable formulation that won't expire for over a year) and they made a weird chicken broth thing that cost over 4x as much while only lasting "1 month" . Their only defense was a smug dismissal that the broth would only last a month (which is a lie as confirmed by another pharmacy). So instead of providing a cheap/easy year long solution they upcharged me and lied about a different product. Also, very inconsistent product quality. Pet formulations had pill chunks that would often clog syringes.

I had a terrible experience with two items I ordered. They filled one I didn't order. And sent it to me and charged my card. They actually asked me, "why they would fill something I didn't order. My response was, because your system is messed up." Then Farshid, the owner, came on the line and told me he would only refund the item if I sent it back. Which means going to USPS. Even a discount on it would have been nice. He was rude.

Not sure if the clientele is older or they’ve just been in line at this pharmacy for so long that they have become ancient. Seriously. If the line is usually ten deep you need a second register. They also have an obnoxious “line jumping” system for those who are obviously regulars. Find somewhere else to go.

I've had such terrible service from this pharmacy. I've had to wait over 4 weeks to get my B12 refilled; apparently they "lost" my prescription which was a 2 week delay and then they couldn't fill the prescription until the following Friday. Apparently their policy has changed and you need to prepay for your prescriptions but we weren't told then when we filled the prescription... So instead of calling the number in the database, they called the wrong number and I had to wait another entire week to get my B12. Also, I've had vials that are over filled and underfilled in the same batch; terrible quality control. I wish I had a different option for my B12 shots. Oh... and the last debacle; not necessarily their fault - they "offered" to give supplies with the shots instead of just providing it. My husband was picking up this prescription and declined thinking we didn't need it. I mean really - who let's someone leave without the proper supplies. I'm so disappointed in this pharmacy.

I came here because my vet told me they had the best price on a medication for my dog. I live on the opposite side of town. The pharmacy tech noticed that the prescription was refillable and that my address was far. He told me about their mail order service. That is good customer service!

Don't listen to the reviews about the tattoos. I have several tattoos and I was treated very respectfully. The service was great and I received my prescription in less than 15 minutes. I will definitely continue to use this pharmacy.

They really know their stuff and do great product. BUT they have a multitude of ways to show you that you mean absolutely NOTHING to them and they would rather you not be there shopping in their store. Their customer service is the worst in the world.

We were looking for an item CVS didn’t carry- the techs at CVS confirmed that Menaul Compounding did and so we headed right over. When we got there, the young lady at the counter denied they had it and only after stating multiple times that CVS had called did a tech from the back confirm that they had them with an added “...but they will be really expensive. Like $10 each.” I said that was fine, my dad needed them and was ignored. I had to ask two additional times to purchase the items to receive an eye roll and a sigh from the young lady who then took a significant amount of time to get the items from the back. We needed large syringes and sterile water to clean my (from out of state) father’s cath tube. The tech informed us the water was available only by prescription. Understandable but we aren’t close to his physician so is there another solution that we can substitute? Another eye roll and an “Ummmm” and she just WALKED AWAY and turned her back on us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Ever.

Now I Get It! Tutoring

I have been going to Menaul Compounding for more than three years now, and my experience there is EXCELLENT!!! The service is friendly, personal, highly efficient, and customer-centered. Mohammed is a wonderful person to work with, and so is Farsheed. The rest of the staff is uniformly friendly and highly competent. There are no 'cons' at Menaul; only Pros. I guarantee that anyone who uses this pharmacy will be delighted with its all-around excellence.

***SHORT ANSWER*** They are not the only compounding pharmacy. Just found Olive Tree Compounding Pharmacy in Rio Rancho and they are so much nicer, friendlier, modern, etc... My wife has been going to Menaul Pharmacy for 2 years now. She wasn’t feeling well because she was out of her medication for 3 days. Didn’t hear anything from them so she called them and the receptionist got really nasty. Then she said the doctor’s not filling it because it’s illegal to have a prescription filled from a different state. 2 years filling it and then 2 years later illegal. She asked to speak to Navid, the owner of the pharmacy and he got nasty with her too. She told him that she wasn’t feeling well and he said, “I don’t care, I’m not getting in trouble for anyone.” I called the DEA because testosterone is a controlled substance to check if what he said was true. They confirmed that it was not illegal because our doctor in he other state is registered in the state of New Mexico. I called the Pharmacy board about Navid and they also confirmed that what he said was incorrect. The Pharmacy investigator called the Pharmacy owner and shortly after we received a phone call from the nasty receptionist that they were now going to fill the prescription. My wife told her that she just lost a customer and Gabe her a few choice words were she can take the prescription. Why? Aren’t they the only compounding pharmacy in Albuquerque? Nope! There is Olive Tree Compounding Pharmacy in Rio Rancho. My wife just picked it up from there and said the facility was a beautiful facility. They were very friendly too. Thank you Menaul for helping us find the better alternative.

If I could put zero stars I would. They are horrible at filling prescriptions. They do not have empathy or care that being with out your medications causes you negative symptoms. Talking to management doesn’t help and they are even worse on the phone. Online prescriptions are a nightmare and the new app is just as disappointing. I’ve given this pharmacy years of my business and I’ve regretted every minute of it.
