PillPack is extremely convenient! I no longer have to spend extra time separating and sorting pills. I don’t have to waste time anymore calling the doctor’s office and pharmacy trying to get refills before I run out. I never run out with PillPack. However, my only problem is sometimes the staff I speak with seem to be I’m from Milyer with the names or types of medication. Also, when my insurance changed, the new carrier did not have a contract with PillPack. I was not made aware that my rx’s We’re no longer covered

Update: I was contacted by pillpack customer service about this update. I upgraded to 3 starts because of the service on this call. After going online and setting up my pill pack, I received a call that one of my prescriptions wasn't available to be refilled yet. Ok no big deal I had the postpone the shipment for 2 weeks. When I called back to start they had a wrong dose, and I also ask about a pill that causes drowsiness, they had it for 8am. I instructed that it should be 8pm, and they verified this. When my pill pack finally arrived and I looked at the medical slips the dosage was wrong. Called them and they couldn't find my Dr in there system. I have to call my Dr and have him fax in a new prescription and they will ship out a suplimental or another bottle. I had to ask if they would refund my money for the wrong meds, and I'm still not sure if they plan on it. Now after hanging up I looked at the packets and, lo and behold, that pill that causes drowsiness is I'm my 8am pack. This pack is also HUGE where am I suppose to put this thing?

If you use inhalers as needed and have to get them shipped to you as needed you’re out of luck. Twice I ‘rushed’ ordered my husbands inhaler. I chose next day, after completing the transaction next day changed to 5 days. Ok. 5 days go by. Check my dashboard, no mention of a rush order. I call PillPack Easter Sunday. They give me no reason why my rush order has vanished but offer to call it on to my local pharmacy. I go to pick it up and I can’t because insurance company says that PillPack is sending the inhaler with the monthly meds which are scheduled to arrive mid week and they won’t allow it. So it took 2 full weeks to rush order an inhaler. Unacceptable.

So, I have been with them for a while then the first of the year it seemed to change. I was getting meds I had put on hold and then wasn't getting my regular order. I had been also having them do my over the counter vitamins which I pay out of pocket. Decided to stop like in March 2019 noticed prices were up. Here is where things went from kinda ok to disappointment! I have been going thru major eye surgeries since end of Jan 2019. Hadn't paid much attention to things going on since I needed to remain stress free and all. I get a bill in june 2019 saying I owe them 315.00 WTH! They had not been billing like before and now expect me to pay all at once! Really? I called tried to setup a payment plan however both persons I spoke to were very rude and would not help!! This is such a stressful issue and makes me mad that it happened and someone did not do their job!!

When I read that Amazon had acquired PillPack, I became interested in the company and ultimately switched my medical prescriptions to PillPack. In my minds eye, if Amazon wanted PillPack, it must be a good company. I received my first order from PillPack a couple of weeks ago. I did not have any issues during the first week but, in the second week I realized that two pills which were listed on the pack as potassium were in fact, calcium. The potassium capsules are a deep blue color and the calcium tablets are a pale off-white. Everyone makes mistakes but there are certain things that cannot tolerate error. And, one of the is prescription drugs. There was no way that I could continue to trust PillPack and I severed my relationship with that company. I do not have faith that there were no other errors made that I didn't catch. 1

The only thing I don't like is the perforation. It isn't good. It rips open when you pull the next pack from the box and the pills fall out. Need to rework. Other than that, I absolutely love it.

At a regular pharmacy I was given 3 bottles of medicine and that was it but with pillpack I get my medacation in 2 different packs witch is the way I should be taking it because of the types of medicine I take so as far as I'm concerned its a grate idea and the reusable container is awesome

After three weeks of attempting to set up with them for prescriptions they charged my credit card without any prior notice of delivery of any products. The customer service dept. could not explain why. What was most troublesome is when I advised I wanted to cancel any shipments they would not confirm I would get a refund for the first shipment that was never received. My bank stopped payment to them for me. PillPack does not do what they say and does not treat senior citizens very well at all.

Life Changer! I would load my meds in a weekly pill divider, some weeks I would place a night-time medication in a morning slot, or just forget a medication all together. Go for a few days to the entire week before I notice it and then I realize that's why I have been feeling dizzy. The Time and Date are printed on the PillPack, so you know instantly if you messed up and missed your meds too. I have tons of OTC vitamins that I add too, and Amazon does it all! Not only that, my insurance covers my prescribed medications completely. This is an awesome Service by Amazon. Super happy with this change. What I would like to see in the near future: a change in process or policy that would allow written prescriptions to be filled through PillPack. That would be huge, and this day and age you would think it could be done. I'm sure someone is in a meeting right now hashing this out. Like a two-step authentication and verified incoming source. ...also an android app. Yes, Apple has already got one so if you have an Apple phone you can download the app. In summary - Switch to PillPack if you love life, or want too!

This service is horrible. My husband and I were so excited to find Pillpack and hopeful it would help us to keep my mother-in-law's pills organized, but since signing her up in November, we have had one issue after another with no help from pillpack to resolve the issues. Customer Service is terrible, they can't clearly communicate with doctors or insurance to resolve any prescription issues, and we have YET to receive an accurate and complete box with all of her medications in it. We will be switching pharmacies asap.

I so wanted to love pillpack. It's an innovative concept and a blessing for our geriatric relative. However, it is not, like its owner, Amazon-like speedy. If one requests a new medication, for example, it may take up to a week, or more, to receive. My advice? If one wants a new prescription in a hurry, or if one constantly changes medications/doses, then do not use pillpack. Stick with your regular pharmacy. Today was the last straw -- and another example as to why a local pharmacy may be one's best bet. Our relative's monthly supply of medication was due to be sent via two-day mail on Tuesday, September 11th with arrival on Thursday, September 13th. I received an email from pillpack to call pillpack to discuss delivery options as Hurricane Florence is heading our way. I was thankful pillpack had given me a "heads up." I thought the best chance to receive our pillpack was to have it sent overnight mail today with arrival tomorrow, September 12th, and I confirmed that freight planes were landing as usual on the 12th. Then, I called pillpack at 11 a.m. this morning. A friendly woman assured me that the pill pack could be sent overnight mail. I was so relieved. I asked for tracking information and she said, and this was weird, to call UPS for tracking (huh?). I informed her that was not how tracking works and I would call pillpack back tonight for tracking. However, our online pillpack "dashboard" showed that the delivery was scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so I was thrilled that my elderly relative would have his much needed medication (he has diabetes, congestive heart failure, etc.) despite the pending storm. It's 8 p.m. and I just called pillpack. Guess what? PILLS WERE NOT SENT. NOT AT ALL! NO OVERNIGHT OR TWO-DAY! I received no notification -- I have no idea what went wrong. So, not only were pills not sent via overnight mail as I had been promised, but pills were not sent via two-day mail as regularly scheduled. What if I had not called tonight? I trusted pillpack to help us out in an emergency and it failed us. The pill pack pharmacist had the patience of a saint as I was livid! She told me that mistakes were made and medications would go out Wednesday for arrival on Thursday. She said I would get called tomorrow to confirm. If we lose power and do not receive deliveries on Thursday, then I will be in crisis mode as we will be out of pills and our local pharmacy will be closed due to no power. Thanks pillpack for making a stressful situation even scarier. Furthermore, like Amazon, there is no specific phone number or specific person one can call to complain to. Only the general phone number is given on the website, and employees of pillpack only provide their first names, and no phone extensions. Hence, I will not be able to follow-up with any specific person. Note the pillpack responses to complaints seen here on "google reviews": the anonymous pillpack employee gives the same 800 number and no specific person to call. This creates even more frustration and confusion when something goes wrong. UPDATE: I just read Pillpack's response on google. This was not a UPS or FedEX issue -- this was a Pillpack issue. The medication were not shipped by Pillpack AT ALL despite the fact that the Pillpack "dashboard" said they were. The items were NOT delayed by Hurricane Florence -- they were NEVER SENT. If I had not called Tuesday night to check on the status of the medication, I would never have known there was a problem, Additionally, please STOP giving out your general "800" number as a way to follow-up if one has a serious concern. It protects your anonymity, but completely frustrates the caller. Give out a person's NAME and phone extension for continuity!

I love Pill Pack.every week I had to open all pill containers to fill the weekly pill box. so many always wound up on the floor and some never to be found. then try and remember if I took all of them and if I missed one of the daily doses.NOW, its great.the pills come in little packs with all the pills for that hour of the day,if I don"t remember, I just go look.the day the time is on each one! This company is really wonderful. They provide a great end product which is wildly convenient but what sets them apart and makes me really enjoy them is how they get to that end. First, the set up is very low-maintenance. I didn't have to make tons of phone calls to PillPack and my old pharmacy. I didn't have to find cards or hunt down lots of information. I didn't have to do anything after I signed up. They got it all figured out for me and I didn't have to think about it. Second, they have been making sure my insurance covers the packaging. Third, every time I call, I get an articulate person who understands humor, subtlety of language and doesn't need a script to be efficient and polite. Each rep has been kind, smart, a good communicator, efficient and well-trained. Fourth, they have an app that allows me to make changes to my PillPack and they email me a few days before they send things so I can make last minute changes. Fifth, in the event that something didn't make my regular mailing, they mailed it out to me in a pill bottle without charging me anything extra. Sixth, a few times I've had to call to have my pillpack mailed early so I could go on trips and they had no trouble sending it out before the usual date. Seventh, I can add virtually any supplement I want using their website or their app. This has been such a good shift for me. It saves me time in the morning, and is extremely convenient when I travel over weekends. It's so easy to grab one pack and not worry if I'll have a chance to take my pills back to the hotel room before I leave the area where I've eaten (some have to be taken with food). The short version of this: Great product, even better customer service.

This is so freaking easy. It comes to your door and you just have to tear off the scheduled pack. It has the list of names of the medications on the front of the packet (and a see-through back so you can actually see the pills yourself). Best time saving medical choice I've ever made. A close friend has been telling me I should try PillPack, so I finally gave in and called them to see if they could provide my medications. From the very beginning, the experience was sketchy. I got a recording that encouraged me to sign up for a "$100 rebate" or press # to decline. I pressed # and the message repeated itself. I pressed # again, and was forced to listen to a 3-question "vacation survey" which was really a sales pitch. Finally, after waiting on hold for several minutes, during which I strongly considered hanging up, this supposedly "local" company (Google results and their website custom-insert a city less than 20 miles away from me in NH), a gentleman in call center on another continent answered. I hung up, totally skeeved out.

I was skeptical when I filled out my information online, and then received a call. I gave the person all of my drug information, and was told PillPack carries everything, I take 8 different medications, and my insurance covers it. I was still nervous about leaving the comfort of being able to run 2 miles up the road to the pharmacy and my medication being there. Three months later and I am so happy that the only running I do now, for my medication, is to my front door. I also had to spend at least an hour every week sorting my pills, and now that is done for me. I have made mistakes twice in my life and I'm lucky to still be here. I am shocked at what this company is doing for the same price as my previous pharmacy. It did take a few emails back and forth to get everything in the proper packet at the right time, but it was worth it, and it was followed up with a call from them to verify everything was correct. My wife has since switched her medications to them and has the exact same service with only 2-medications.

PillPack makes it effortless for me to get and take my medications. They worked with my insurance company and previous pharmacy and let me know when everything was taken care of. Now my prescriptions arrive at my door when my previous prescription runs out. No trips to the pharmacy to pick them up. They talk with my doctor before refills give out and only involve me if there is an issue. The individual bags help me remember if I've taken my meds or not. When I travel I pull off the days I need, throw them in my bag and go. Why didn't someone think of this before now? I can't say enough about how great the customer service is and how easy it is.

As a retired pharmacist, I know the importance of taking medication as prescribed. This method of delivery is not new and is not for everyone, but for those who can benefit from a well designed end product that provides a convenient means of delivering your medications, this is for you. This system could also be very helpful for those who are caregivers for a loved one. Compliance in taking medications as ordered can become difficult, but with this PillPack system of packaging the confusion of multiple bottles is eliminated. Lastly, it is imperative that the recipient of this product has been given information about the medications and has had an opportunity to ask questions. This certainly has been the case at PillPack as I have had my questions, comments and needs addressed in a timely manner.

Awesome concept and company! Med packs always come a few days early. It was super easy to sign up and they did all the hard work of verifying insurance(s) and transferring all my prescriptions. Been with them 9-10 months and never had a problem. The iPhone app helps with reminders to take my next pack, being able to manage my medications and shipments. Also, I love that I can message with a pharmacist right on the app (or through the website). It sometimes takes a bit for them to answer, but never more than a couple hours and they always resolve any issue (which has been very few). Co-pays for my prescriptions are the same as when I used Walgreens. Highly recommend, especially if you have multiple (3+) medications you have to take at different times through out the day. I just started with pill pack and it was a little confusing at first but then I called and the gentleman I spoke with explained everything to me I understood how everything works they package all my medications exactly how I take them at the exactly the time I take them and I take a lot of medication so this is like a gift from God they are awesome if you take medication more than once a day and if you take more than one medication this pharmacy was made for you they are spectacular I highly recommend them on a scale of 1 to 10 I give them a 20+++++++++ I can't tell you how much easier it is to take my medicine now. It used to take me about 20 minutes to fill up my cup every night 3 times a day now it takes about 5 what a difference I'm so happy I switched

I just joined the PillPack service and am delighted. I have about ten prescriptions and four OTC meds and the packets make the process so much easier. So far, the shipping and extra attention that I have required for my changing meds has not cost me anything extra over my normal payments to CVS. My second 30 day delivery is due soon and it is arriving at my door! It is amazing. I have had new prescriptions added during the past 30 days and PillPack overnighted the medication to me at no extra charge. My husband was using the pharmacy associated with his insurance for home delivery and was not happy with them. We switched him to Pill Pack and have been very very satisfied with them. I love how I don't have to use a pill box to sort his medications. Pill Pack has delivered his medications on time and even email you to let you know when it is shipped out and to let you know what is set up for the next order in case you need to change something.

Yeah, this service is great... UNLESS YOU ARE ON MEDICARE/MEDICAID The person who signed us up completely lied. We specifically asked if our insurance was accepted before we even began the process. Now my non-verbal disabled brother is in constant pain until they find time to send his scripts back to his old pharmacy. He has multiple scripts, multiple times a day, to keep him functioning and healthy. The medication that you refuse to release is essential to his daily well-being, he will be in constant pain and unable to move. Thanks for completely screwing his life up. Just because he can't complain doesn't mean you and everyone who considers your company won't hear about this. Maybe you'll think twice about taking advantage of people with disabilities. Pillpack has been sent repeatedly scripts for my mother, but they claim they never got them. It was faxed, phoned in and escribed. My mother has been without pills. It's a good thing she knows she is missing some. What about people who have trouble remembering their medications??? Icing on the cake is, she bought a dispenser too. They refuse to let her return it.

Really like the convenience of having my meds wrapped and ready. Easy to grab when I know I will be away from home and I don't have to take the whole bottle with me for over night stays. I gave them 3 attempts at getting my business. The service clearly has not been proven and they need to go back to the drawing board to re look at their business model. I finally got my 1st set a pills from them and this is how I received them. Don't ask them to do ritalin because they can't do it apparently. Also for your 1st prescription you have to get it filled at the pharmacy because they need a grace period to get everything put together of a few weeks. Which then means if you have an anabolic that you need to get guess what you'll be going to the pharmacy like always. Don't waste your time and energy with this company.

I’ve lost track of the number of times these clowns have failed to get refills or notify me of a problem with a refill. They routinely ship packages that do not have full and complete medications. Their “customer service” is entirely made up of “we’re sorry,” and “that shouldn’t happen.” Worst. Pharmacy. Ever. Avoid. P.S. I am certain that someone from Pillpack will post the usual “we’re sorry” and “this is not the service that we mean to deliver.” Dont be fooled. Like others here, I have been told that the doctors don’t return calls and faxes. Like others, I have spoken with close to a dozen “supervisors” and “managers.” It’s all a shell game and a joke. Nothing ever gets better. They are NOT sorry, and this IS the level of service you should expect. Don’t be fooled. Take these 1 star ratings to heart.

Both my wife and I opted to give Pill Pack a try her experience was very poor. My issue is in getting a hold of customer service. I can see this as a practical way to manage prescriptions for the elderly but take extreme caution in verifying that you receive what you need in the order you need to take it. The packaging is professional but it did take almost two weeks to process! After trying Pill Pack in my experience its more convenient to deal with my local pharmacy which has my medication ready within an hour of me needing it. I'm really disappointed in my experience I had really high expectations.

I love this pharmacy. I have been dealing with other pharmacies for about 20 years now and this is so much better. Now I have arthritis and opening and closing bottles is painful. Sorting pills takes a lot of time and sometimes gets confused. I like that even though they include the medical information on clearly written sheets of paper, my name is not all over them so that I don't have to worry about shredding them every time. I wish I had heard of them sooner!

Honestly, I was skeptical at first, I thought it was going to be super expensive and it not working- but those expectations were definitely blown out of the water, they used my health insurance which was wonderful since with my insurance the costs are minimal- I would definitely recommend (and have been recommending) to friends who are also taking a lot of medication and need this extra bump to keep on their daily medications.

I set up the times on the medication when I first called in ... a couple days later I logged in to check progress noticed the med times had changed ... so I took the time to set them up through the dash board again. Get the pill pack and then are all bunched together at 10a and 10p.. when I called they pretty much told me they couldn’t do anything about it and pretty much told me I never set up the times ..... I set them up twice .... run away from this company.. I thought this would be a very convenient solution to my grandmothers meds ... boy was I wrong !!!!!

I got off to kind of a rocky start with the customer service but i so wanted it to work out i kept going. The idea of mailing service really appealed to me. I got all my meds on the correct day. The packaging is fabulous. Simple clear easy. I took the shipment to my doctor appointment today. He was more impressed than i was. Where did i find this company? Did i have any brochures? He wants all the info. Great for all his older patients. So with one shipment I'm now the head cheerleader for PILL PAK. I will reccommend this to everyone I know.

Best thing that has happened since apple pie. I use to have to count out eight pills in the morning and evening. Now I pull out a pack, easy open and I have my pills. A fraction of the time it took me. Will be much easier when we travel. Instead of taking a whole bunch of pill bottles, I will just have to take a few small packets. I have worked with Customer Service to get my pills right and they really are easy to work with, very pleasant to work with and seem to make every effort to make their customers happy and satisfied. As I am new to the company I am thus far very pleased. At first it was a bit cumbersome as when I checked my packets and saw all my scripts were not included I realized it was due to my doctors not responding in a timely manner. Therefore, I still need to check my PillPack to see which scripts need to be followed up. I also like the fact as they receive the authorization from the doctor, PillPack sends the updated script, they do not wait until the next supply is due. PillPack has been available when I needed to call them and have been courteous and are very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company.

I attempted to order a medication by a specific manufacturer. I really had to have this particular one, a person cannot stop this particular medication or change to another generic because the chemical make ups are different with generics. My husband and i were told they thought it was in stock, to recheck next day, we did. they said they had it and should be no problem getting it to us. i was so thankful it put my worries at bay. then i get email saying my medication should be here in a week. Then it becomes two weeks. I thought okay give them some time, they said the proccess should take a bit. My husband eventually calls over the next weekend and talks to someone for thirty minutes and they said they would get it shipped by end of week. Then i get an email stating the medication was being shipped like 30 days out. So my husband calls again the fallowing weekend. We Find out they cannot get the medication. After being given the runaround for weeks all somebody had to do was take the time to tell us they couldn’t get it. I was just sick. We decided we did not want to do business with this company I had high hopes because amazon bought them out, i learned quick.

I used to have my meds blister-packed but taking them with me for a short day trip was such a hassle I had to take them out & put them in a pill box in my bag & hope it didn't come open. Now I just pull the strip, have the thin plastic packets to slip in my bag & I'm on my way. Did I mention .. They ship your meds to your door for free? Yep... I was unhappy with my pharmacy that I am using now so I began to look at new ones I call a few and asked if they could use my insurance. They all asked for the insurance company name and with in a few seconds confirmed they took my insurance. Then I went on line to Pill Pack's web site and looked at the sites questions area. It said I should call the phone number below so I did. They answered on the 2 ring and they young woman was very pleasant and said she would transfer me to the insurance dept. I was on hold over 20 mins and when they did pick up they could not answer the question. Then they said that I would need to sign up to find out if they accepted my insurance. I was past off to a second person and they fog of his answers only made things more unclear. after close to 3 calls and 2 hours of my time I am no closer to finding out if they take my insurance. Shame on me for wasting my time. The longer I talked to them more I got the feeling of total incompetence or maybe even a scam of a company.

Set up took over 2 weeks to process, I had to pick up a local refill to get by until my first order arrived. Then when it arrived I discovered they got my Prescription order wrong. I take a particular Rx at 75mg during weekdays and it reduces to 50mg on weekends. They packaged the 75mg & 50mg on weekdays and 75mg alone on weekends. It was a long wait to get through to customer service who then gave me the run around stating they had to verify with my physician. I said had I not been aware of my own Rx's I would have been overtaking my medication. I still have not received any word back about the packaging being corrected. The representative simply said just open the pack and take the one pill of the two you need. This defeats the purpose of trying this out. The packaging is cute, but there is A LOT of room for improvement. I'm personally cancelling after my first trial.

This service while seeming like a grand idea was HORRIBLE!! I contacted them to gather information and was told that there was no additional charge for this service and that whatever I’m paying at my current pharmacy is how much I’ll be paying with them. I was also told all my pills could be placed into one “easy, convenient” package. When I spent over an hour getting set up, not till it was all over did they give me an “estimate” of how much it would cost. I went from paying $30 at my current pharmacy to $96 with Pill Pack. I hesitated when the price was so much more even after I was just told how it would be the same price. The representative told me the prices will be lower as it’s just an estimate. I decided to go forward even though my price was 3 times the amount I’m currently paying for the “ease & convenience” when my pills arrived they were still $96 and in 4 separate packages so every day I would have to open 4 different pouches to take my pills. Where is the ease? Where is the convenience? I called immediately the day they arrived and explained my confusion and frustration. I was told they can only fit 5 pills per package due to the size of the font printed on the package. I explained how i was told it would be in one package and it seemed very wasteful and not so convenient for me to have to open 4 packages per day and I’d like to send my unopened pills back for a refund as this is not what I was promised. They refused and after two separate conversations with 2 different management team members both said they would get this resolved and send me an email letting me know. Each sent me an email saying they will not refund me. This service is a lie and a very inconvenient service. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

During the past December insurance signup period, my wife and I found we were changing providers for our prescription medications. As we live in a remote area, we strongly prefer mailorder delivery and our insurance provider introduced us to PillPack. We have been delighted with the service. HORRIBLE!! The months that they did get my medications correct were a minority to the months they got wrong. They continued to call a wrong number for refills, no matter how many times this was corrected -- pretty sure that's a hpaa violation. When they missed filling a medication in the packages, they made no effort to send the rest of the month supply of that medication when they finally did get the refill.
