I love the eclectic and fun mix of products available at Colonial. The people who select the merchandise truly know what they are doing! I’ve enjoyed shopping for gifts and for a variety of items for myself. Having said this, the pharmacy and its staff leave A LOT to be desired. After my experience there today, I will not be going back. On more than one occasion, I have arrived and had my prescriptions not ready for pick-up. The first time this happened I was told the script hadn’t been received from my doctor; it turns out that it was sitting on the fax machine the entire time. PLEASE tell your employees to check the fax machine on a regular basis if this is one way in which you receive prescriptions! Today when I arrived (having called in an auto refill approximately one week ago), my prescription had to be hunted down which took well over 20 minutes. While I was sitting waiting for my prescription there was a man behind the counter on the phone who was gossiping loudly about another store owner in the same plaza where Colonial is located. Unprofessional and unacceptable. I strive to spend my money in locally-owned businesses but this is the last time I will spend any money at Colonial. Please be more respectful of your customers, someone is always watching and listening! Also, when you mess up, apologize! It goes a long way.

This is a very solid independent Pharmacy that has been in town for some years now. It is manned by knowledgeable staff, and the head pharmacists are very polite, and kindly, as they try to assist you through your problem or issue. They are often very knowledgeable on particular meds, and can give added information, as well as the casual or off hand advisement (that is, not to replace that of your doctor). The store is fully stocked with all sorts of over the counter drugs, vitamins, etc. Additionally, as the store is large, it has back to school stuff, as well as items for the house. The general staff too, are kindly and helpful. This is a well run and managed Pharmacy, that I highly recommend.

This pharmacy has a local, hometown feel. Being from the south, this pharmacy gives me all the hospitality I would hope for. The pharmacists are knowledgeable and friendly, the store is clean, and the staff are always wearing a smile.

Completely unacceptable customer service. I kept getting cut off by a front-end manager when trying to state my problems. He then forwarded me to another department before I could even finish my sentence. Some of the pharmacy and health care staff are uneducated when it comes to insurance and habe charged me $53 which I was not supposed to be charged. I keep getting the runaround from different pharmacists. One pharmacist tells me they will credit my account since I had insurance they somehow did not bill. Another pharmacist tells me they will "look into it" 3 days later. And another pharmacist has no idea how insurance works.

Wonderful local pharmacy with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Pharmacists always take the time to help customers and really go above and beyond with their service. Nothing like the impersonal and rushed service you would get at a chain store. It is also a general store with anything you could need from gifts, home goods, cards, seasonal items, school/office supplies, baby supplies and more. Overall I would highly recommend Colonial and honestly wouldn't even bother with any other pharmacy in the area. This one is the best!

Colonial Pharmacy is a well run business. It is like an old fashioned Woolworths. They carry anything you could want. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The pharmacists go the extra mile and are professional, knowledgeable and take their time with customers to explain medications. This local business is what makes living in a small town so special.

Great place to find almost anything. I called for info on instore stock and was helped by Ashley. She found what I needed within minutes. Alittle pricey but worth it because of the customer service and the added bonus of not having to drive to Newport or Claremont.

I come up to new London every summer for a week and I look forward to coming here for gifts to bring back home. I went to go look at some makeup and picked one up just opening the cap to see what kind of pump it was (not realizing there was a tiny sign on the bottom shelf saying not to) and the blonde short haired bob lady yelled at me saying not to open the cap. I apologized and she went off on me using her foot to point at the sign and said I had to pay for it. I apologized again and she continued to be rude. She seemed like she really didn’t want to be there. Didn’t have to take it out on me. Oh well.

I went to pick up two perscriptions and it was almost impossible to get anyone to talk to me but they’d give me eye contact. Finally when I get someone to talk to me they have no clue where anything is and nothing is done. I was told 10-15mins and I was standing there for 40 mins. Never again will I use colonial pharmacy
