I have had to pick up prescriptions several times here and every time it is an hour wait, even though the order was called an hour beforehand. They never seems to be enough staff. Every time I'm here, all the pickup windows are not staffed. It's very frustrating, especially when one has to deal with this after just being released from the hospital.

Thomas Pristaire

Too slow. And being understaffed isn't the issue they just move slower the more staff there is. Nobody there even cares how long the elderly have to stand in line. Erin is a terrible insult to this hospital. If I were working there I would feel awful about the patients in line and would operate more efficiently. Further, I would create a ticket system so those impaired can stay seated and wait. That technology costs a few hundred dollars and would save the day for years. Currently, impaired people cannot be independent and must bring someone along to stand in line for them. Remember: You typically wait an hour in line which affects even young people. But it will never happen. This has to be because of Pharmacists protecting their job satisfaction. Could be Unions. Whatever. Something is impeding the entire operation and has for years. Shameful, Erin.

High knolegable, friendly staff.

A hospital this large should have a fully staffed and larger pharmacy or have more than one pharmacy site. For example - patients who see their PCP, etc. at MGMG (Mass. General Medical Group) could have their 'scripts dropped off/picked up at the 50 Staniford Bldg location instead of piling in at the Wang Ambulatory wing. The Yawkey Bldg could have its own pharmacy, too. It's all on the same campus. The wait times and long lines would be reduced if their was more than one area to get one's prescriptions.

Big volume business with low staff, there is always lines like tjmax, open more windows and hire technicians, not pharmacists and no technicians.

John Duffy

Waited probably 15 minutes on hold, only to speak with the most unpleasant person ever. Avoid this place - don't waste your time. MGH should be embarrassed.
