Morning Sunday

Since Wed, 24 Northern had my prescription for eye infection. I called Thursday, put on hold then the machine asked for message, waited but never received a return call. Friday I called twice before getting a response, delivery set for Sat, I didn't receive meds, called spoke to pharmacist Susan Chun, assured me delivery Sunday. This is the second time delivery less than stellar. I'm thru no more , my eye is dripping

My wife's oncologist used this pharmacy to fill her chemo meds. We just had our baby and the pharmacist was willing to drive the medication to our hospital personally while he was on his way to his 4th of july vacation. I highly doubt any other place would do that.

Have been dealing with Northern Pharmacy for many years in the neighborhood. Until recently service was prompt and courteous. Past couple of visits have been all over the place from friendly courteous service to, your prescription was never received. Has there been an ownership change?

I have been using this pharmacy for the past few years and at first loved it. The staff in the compounding department are very nice & professional which is why I gave 3 stars. My son receives medication from the compounding lab & also the pharmacy. Recently trying to get his prescription filled from the pharmacy has been a nightmare. Last month when I emailed to get a refill for both (which I do every month) I received his compound medicine but not the other so when I called I was told they have not received the refill from the dr so I called his dr to have it resent but when I called the pharmacy to ask did they receive the refill request the lady on the phone was very rude and told me it was not a big deal because I can purchase the medication over the counter I did not need a prescription for it. Yes I can but this is why I have insurance for my child so that I don’t need to there is no reason 1 for someone who works with people to speak to a customer the way I was spoken to and 2 a month later & I have yet to hear back anything regarding the refill or when I would receive it. Any message left on the voicemail NEVER gets called back. This is unprofessional! If I could find another pharmacy to made my sons compound medication I would never deal with this pharmacy again & it’s sad considering I have been using this pharmacy for a few years and they use to have great, respectable employees working.

I went in to get a knee brace with a prescription. They took my prescription and told me someone would call. Seven days later I've called several times and can get no answers and now I don't have my prescription to go elsewhere. Avoid this place at all costs.

I am not happy with the customer service when ordering parts. I was not told during the initial call to pay first before the order. I was not told the time period to expect the parts. I paid for it on 4/27/19, called 4 times to follow up, no response just voicemail only.

The prices have gone up a ridiculous amount in the last year! Half the staff is kind and helpful but the other half seems bitter and resentful. Very slow service even when there's nobody else in the store.

Have always had great customer service with this pharmacy! I get my medicine delivered to me by mail and though they have gotten it wrong a few times for the quantity, I cant hold it against them because they are always quick to correct it. The delivery of my medicine is so quick, often receiving it the very next day. I've not had any issues with anybody answering the phone in the morning, sometimes in the late afternoon I will have to leave a message to fill a prescription but they are always quick to call back. Love NP!!

In my first interaction, with the provider, my breast pump was not delivered when it was supposed to be and communication with the company was not reliable. I left a number of messages, but would only get email responses. This is not convenient when you have just given birth and have many other things to worry about. The pump had a 2 year warranty supplied by the manufacturer. When my breast pump had a malfunction, less than 4 months after I received it, Northern Pharmacy and Medical Equipment would not help me to receive a replacement. The manufacturer was shipping a pump in 2 business days, but they would not provide me with one until the other pump arrives. This is not an acceptable solution when your infant is depending on pump for food. Due to their inability to help, I will never work with this provider again and would not recommend you do either.

This place is like heaven on earth. The people are super friendly and helpful. They also have awesome parties once a month to celebrate their customers. Everyone in the world should go there at least once in a lifetime even if you don't need anything from the pharmacy. It's a great place!

Delivered a prescription for a Lift Chair for my Grandmother, to them on 5-7-2019 at 5pm. Had a 20 minute conversation with the employee that recieved it and was assured they would handle the process of submitting to Medicare. I call them back on 5-20-2019 and they seem unaware of even possessing the delivered prescription. I'm told Aaron (sp) will return my call. My original reason for calling was to make sure the $900.00 chair would be cheaper than the 5 competitors selling it for $700.00 with free shipping. Today Aaron calls me back to let me know there was a miscommunication and they aren't willing to submit the prescription to Aetna at all to see if they'll cover the chair. (Great desire to sell a product) Despite my grandmother having a Muscular Disease and an oesteo athritis ridden hip... the dr that wrote the prescription is a vascular dr who wrote it to treat her deteoriorating walking conditions in conjunction with the 10 lbs of fluid retention per leg from a vascular issue. Nope. It's gotta just be for the hip and muscular issue. She only meets 100% of the conditions listed by Medicare. No going the extra mile with massive fluid retention too! Yes her medical records support approval. Just have any of her other Drs write the same prescription. They are sorry the employee took the prescription and no one did anything till I called 13 days later. The employees that meet customers to take prescriptions and order goods with them don't know about prescription requirements? Aaron assured me she'd only recieve 300 dollars off from Medicare anyways. Only 300? I assured him that's the only way his $ 900.00 chair was cheaper than the 5 competitors selling it at $700.00. While I could get her Primary, Muscular or Hip dr to write another prescription... I can't trust Northern Pharmacy to handle the paperwork in a timely and reliable fashion after the blunders on 5-7-2019. Out of sheer frustration, I opted to order her the chair from a competitor for $200 less and it'll be here in 5 to 7 business days. Had I done that originally, it'd already be here without ant stress or time wasted.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I am a business owner and understand the value of good service. I can’t even imagine treating our customers this way. I have called countless times to find out why our Aunts wheelchair has not been delivered. No answers VM only. No return calls. Finally called the pharmacy side, they transferred me to equipment and then someone answered.. put me on hold and hung up. Try having spinal cancer and needing a wheelchair and can’t even get someone to answer the phone or return calls. We are completely disgusted with the medical equipment division of this place. How you treat people comes full circle... remember that when you find yourself in desperate need one day. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Beverly has been the most helpful medical professional I have ever encountered. My doctor's office neglected to send over my prescription on a Friday and by the following Tuesday they still had not sent it. Beverly, in the several interactions I had with her over the last few days was so pleasant an helpful, faxing the request several times as well as enlisting the pharmacist to call my Doctor's office personally. While I will be changing my primary care physician shortly, Beverly has made it apparent that Northern Pharmacy will remain my home pharmacy for good. Thank you Beverly for all your help

This place deserves a 0!!!!! Their customer service is the worse!!! I left a message to the person in charge of customer service 2 days ago and haven't heard from her yet! I have to get my medical supply here because of my ins and I hate it ! In the 2 times I have had to gets medical supply from them the order is always wrong the first order was my blood meter and they forgot to give me the pen for the lancets and I had to go to the store in order to get it , now this second time I order new test strips and the company changes them ( how would I know that ) the way the tester handle them so when I received them , they don't work in my tester so I call northern and they tell me I need a genaric code key for the tester which they should of given when the order was fill but they could not mail it to me I have to go to the store to get it. I am disabled and do not live close to the store, so now I have medical supply that I can't use !! How is that helpful and a way to do business when both time is they mistake !!

The absolute worse experience. Couldn't reach medical equipment today. Sat on hold for an hour and got nowhere. If someone does answer the phone, they will transfer the call. Then that call gets transferred but hold on... eventually a receptionist will pick up and ask how she may direct the call. Called again and the exact same thing happened again. But, I didn't sit on hold for another hour. I just hung up. Thank God this place isn't a hospital or the police department. We would be in dire straights. Didn't get what I needed but I did get upset enough to write this negative review. They record all calls to improve their service? That's a joke when they don't provide any service at all! And they deliver? How is that possible when they don't answer the phone to take orders. How this place has stayed in business for 75 years is beyond comprehension. No doubt they don't even read these reviews or maybe they do but, just don't give a damn. BEWARE of positive reviews... my guess is that the staff wrote them.

I'm not going to bother with them any more. What kind of business is it, anyway? I appears to be a wholesale business. The first time I went in, I was looking for ostomy supplies, and I was looking to LEARN about ostomy supplies. I waited to see the appropriate person, and all she was prepared to deal with were numbers. I told her I wanted to learn about what was available in Ostomy supplies, but she couldn't do anything without a product number. What kind of service is that, I have to wait for the "specialist", and then turns out the only thing the "specialist" is able to do is go find a product on the shelf by number. Second time, I called to see if a product was in stock. I had two product numbers this time. Oh no, I've got to talk to the specialist to find out if they're in stock.. So they took my phone number and product numbers. The specialist called two days later, and didn't even know the numbers I was asking for. I hung up. Exactly what kind of business is it? What kinds of customers are they expecting to deal with, and on what timeframe?

Spent over a month trying to get a cpap machine. Confusion was the first word and incompetence was the second word I used to describe Medical Equipment Department from the managers to the support staff. The respiratory therapist had dirty hands like he had been working on a car engine in his spare time. He was the one fitting the mask. I was told to take a $35 mask while they were awaiting the one ordered. That never arrived and there was no follow up except by me. After trying to resolve though managers etc for two weeks I took the machine in to pick up the mask that they "found" while they were still ordering the right one which they have been ordering for over a month. They presented me with the "found in the warehouse" $319 dollar mask and said don't worry my insurance would pay for it. The clerk helping me said we don't know much about cpaps. Really? I left the Cpap machine there and am moving to another provider. Don't go there it is very dirty too.

This company deserves a zero rating. It took over two months to get someone to fix the power chair that was still under warranty for my mother who is 93 years old which had been purchased at Northern Pharmacy. My phone calls were never returned!!! I suppose I should consider us lucky that they finally took care of this. We will never deal with this business again and I suggest that you take your business elsewhere!

Northern Pharmacy & Medical Equip does not take care of all of their customers like stated in previous reviews. I have been trying to get a Gel Foam mattress for over 1 week now. The call center staff very professional but always had to take a message because no one was ever available in the medical equip dept because they were always helping walk in customers, however never a call back. All customers should be important to this business. Medical records were not updated so staff in the call center could verfy my order. The only reason why I used this company for the past year is because it was recommended by a Rehab facility, I will be taking my bussiness to another company, I dont think Allison in the medical equip dept will notice that my order was never filled. The 1 star is for the call center staff.

I was referred to you by my dad’s oncologist. The Amend Rx side seems to have it together more than the dme side. I receive incontinence supplies for my child, and they are never on time, have received incorrect quantities, and can never reach anyone for timely refills causing me to have to purchase costly products out of pocket. I am disgusted by the customer service standards set forth by a “family” company. I plan to let our physicians know they should stop recommending you, and as a home health nurse in the community my team members will not be using you either going forward. A receptionist just spent 20 minutes “trying to call somebody” for me. Ridiculous. And Tina Sheeler clearly doesn’t know how Amazon works. Prime prices are for everyone, the members fee is for free shipping. They’re gouging. Insurance gets billed premium diaper prices for dollar store brands.

The retail part is weird in that you have to sign in and wait for a sales person to come help you, which might take a while. If you know what you want and where it is on the shelf, you still have to sign in then you to wait at the cash register for someone decides to help you. I would think it be better to have the sign-in lady up on her feet helping on the floor rather than sitting there all day shooting the breeze with others. The prices are high, but of course they can get away with it because most of the bills are sent to the U.S. gov't (Medicare/Medicaid; i.e. taxpayers), so who cares or challenges? Quite the racket.

I am a diabetic and times are hard rite now so i go in to buy a ten pack of syringes that at most stores are 3 to 4 dollars tops and they say 12.99. I am amazed Northern Pharmacy is still in business after the terrible service I received. It started out fine but then I got the run around and finally I couldn't get Michelle Brooks to even return several voice mails. I left a detailed message to her manager Arron Sacko through the receptionist and still no call. I had to have the prescription sent to another Pharmacy and start all over. The hospital warned me of over complaints about Northern but I mistakenly went for convenience. A true frustrating waste of time.

I have a compound made for me here. The past 4 times the cost has been different each time! They take forever to ship, when I call they either hang up....Yes HANG UP, or place me on hold. They never seem to have to correct info after I have supplied it several times. I can't ee how this place is still running a successful business. I have been using this pharmacy for my family for about 2 years. It was convenient & affordable fir us. At first the service was excellent, however for the last 6 months it has been a nightmare! Prescriptions are not being filled in a timely manner & delivery service is late. When you try to talk ro someone about the issue, they have a negative nasty attitude...including the manager. This will be the LAST time I use this pharmacy.

There is a reason they have so many negative ratings.of late Their customer service used to be phenomenal now it like working with individuals who don't follow through at best and enjoy being obstinate and difficult at worse. They are malcoordinated, make up and change rules to cover their shortcomings and cause so much headache that even drs refuse to deal with them. Read the other negative reviews. Look at their explanation for why an item they sold was 4 times the price on Amazon -- they claim that the lower price on Amazon was for Prime Members -- Prime membership gives free two day delivery -- not cheaper prices as they claim. A negative review will happen to everyone -- but the number of negative review here speaks for itself.

Summary: “…if the decision is ever to choose to spend [out-of-pocket] to get what I need on time or strive with the [poor] service at Northern Pharmacy [using my insurance to cover the cost], I will gladly spend it on a big company [Amazon] that puts companies like Northern Pharmacy out of business.” - With an upcoming surgery I was recommended I could attain a wheelchair through Northern Pharmacy by my physician. I was informed that the Northern Pharmacy made the fulfillment of such a script pretty seamless: they would receive the script, contact the patient, and could even deliver the prescription (in this case a wheelchair, to my doorstep). I reached out to Northern Pharmacy for their fax number for the script, Wednesday (9/12), six (6) days before my surgery. Their phone prompt options were unclear. I got through to someone and was met with an attitude from a young lady when I asked for their fax number, as if (1) I had gotten to the wrong line, (2) as if she couldn’t help me. When I pushed her, she told me she worked in the equipment department (so I had reached the right line), and she was able to provide a fax number for the script. I called back about an hour later to ensure they had received the script and they said they had and informed someone would follow up before end of business. I asked, and they informed they had hours until 8pm/9pm – more than 6 hours from then. NO ONE EVER CALLED. I followed up the following day, Thursday (9/13), and they said someone would reach out to me. I followed up the following day, Friday (9/14), and they said someone would reach out to me. (Both days I informed the representative that it had been since Wednesday). By Sunday (9/16), a day before my procedure, I had to choose other means (Amazon) to fulfill my needs – who could not only receive my order but fulfill it within a day (9/17) to my doorstep – all the while removing the need to speak to a single person to get what I needed. I’m all about local businesses and personal interaction over big, online companies. Therefore I called on Monday (9/17), the day before my surgery to voice my concern with a supervisor at Northern Pharmacy. I was transferred to Ms. Angie’s line, which went to voicemail. I left a voicemail requesting a call back to explain my concern, and it has now been 17 days with no response. Going forward if the decision is ever to choose to spend $50 to get what I need on time or strive with the (lack of) customer service at Northern Pharmacy (and use my insurance to cover the cost), I will gladly spend it (out of pocket) on a big company that puts companies like Northern Pharmacy out of business.
