Just walked in and out real quick to this store to purchase some portland trash bags. The people running the floor at the moment I did didn't even bother looking for me. They said they were all out. then I pointed under the other registers there were clearly trash bags. At that moment the lady on Register let put a sigh and shuffled her way to the register and picked up a few. For an empty store you would think and hope that the people running it would be quick to get you out. Especially when you come to just pick up one thing that they should have fully stocked. And the fact that the service itself was inconsiderate had me really upset. I'm not asking you to get a real job as a doctor I just want to get trash bags. It just makes me frustrated they got rid of the self check outs. Then as I was leaving she sat down on the register and just stared at the clock. To think we have veterans sitting on corners panhandling fully capable of working and we are stuck with the service of lazy people.

Watched this dude with a weird haircut that looked like a cliff drop stare at some high school girls like eye candy. This dude was clearly in his 40's or 50's but he tried flirting with them and I was utterly disturbed by this employees treatment of young females. The bearded fellow in the blue shirt also had mistreatment of female customers LITERALLY FOLLOWING THEM THROUGH THE STORE. As a parent I disprove of this and would never have my children around such misogynistic white prejudice males that stare at the rear ends of young women like DISCOUNT MEAT SACKS. I thought a professional business would practice proper harassment safety policies. I would rather shop at a non bias and NON SEXIST grocery store that is accepting of all genders and preferences and religions like Hannaford.

Those frequin idiots dont have the Shaws card any more. Big mistake. What a pity!!! They rarely ever have the 2 liter bottles of Brisk Ice Tea!!! When they do it goes fast. The price of the Portland Press Herald is now at $1.80!!! To expensive for my taste!!!

I went in at age 12 to buy a box of gushers, came out when I was 30. This places blows, and the lines are longer than gods beard. I saw three people die of old age while waiting in that cursed line!!!!

In the bakery section I found a very moldy bag of bagels. Took it to the checkout to recommend they remove it from the shelf. The shift leader took it from me, quickly shoved it into a bag and walked away. Not a word to me. No "thank you for bringing it to our attention", no "sorry about that". This is such a poorly managed store.

Shaw's has a decent variety of foods and as a vegan I'm definitely very picky. Their generic salsa and marinara sauce is affordable and vegan. They also get some good produce in this store and offer organic options on a lot of their foods (at a premium, of course).

Lines to check out always long. Just waited 20 minutes with only 2 people ahead of me because of that stupid monopoly game. It’s dirty and rundown, produce and fruit always old and lackluster. Only stop there to buy name brand things I ran out of and need on the way home. I do my maine shopping at hannaford down the road

I shop here because Hanford is to far. They do have a good selection of items that I like. I enjoy the delie department where you can find a good range of pre- made salads, and fresh seafood Produce is not always the freshest and sometime it's lacking product. I really don't like the layout especially in the beginning when the isles don't run together and you havetoo walk around. When it comes to the prices let's face it.....Go to Hanford if you want to save money.

I absolutely love the people at Shaw's Northgate!! From Cheryl, Mike, Katie and Billy night managers & Supervisors respectively. Too Kathy in the Deli (she is so incrediblely kind and so helpful!) The other Cheryl at Service Desk. This is to just name a few. I just love my Shaw's Northgate crew!!! Incredible customer service! They all truly care about their customers!!

I only waste my time in line here to buy Ben & Jerrys 4/$10 sale. Trying to minimize the time I actually spend watching the retirement age cashier ladies push monopoly game pieces on people, I often call ahead to see if they have Ben & Jerrys on sale. The so called “customer service agents” at this store never even know if the ice cream is on sale or not, and refuse to check for you when you call; I’m not sure how the word “service” even deserves to be associated with their title. The sales are not frequent enough, but I will give them the full 1 star because when Ben & Jerrys does go on sale, it is in fact the best sale around. The line to get out of the store is still worse than the Best Buy line on Black Friday, so pack your tent and pray your 4 pints of Ben & Jerrys don’t melt before you can make it thru the line.

Produce freshness is always lacking, unfortunately, and the lines at the registers are ALWAYS long and slow. Never seems to be enough help. As a new person to the neighborhood, I'm finding myself making the extra ride to Hannaford Falmouth instead.
