This is my weekly shopping plaza. Hannaford has decent produce and meat. Not the greatest selection but it gets us by. Be aware during the summer this location can be extremely busy so early morning is the time to shop.

I've been going to this store for over 22 years because it's right down the street from my house, the people that work there are very kind and very helpful when looking for any items. They even take the time out to call you when an item has come in. Their prices on merchandise are reasonableand I also like the convenience of having self checkout especially when I only have a couple of items and I don't want to wait in line.

Produce in soPo store is very limited. Front end manager needed to have a customer tell him he needed more cashiers. There had to be 30 people in 2 lines. He didn't know who to call then. It was 4:30pm.

Great service and assistance!! I wanted to buy some hanging plants for mother's day and wasn't sure if they had a scannable barcode at the register for checkout. They didn't, but the on duty manager said that he would ring me up at the Hannaford to go register to save me from waiting in line again. Fantastic service and great assistance!!

Is this place under new management? It sure looks like it. Used to be great store but not so anymore. On a Monday @5 a coupla wks ago - out of many things. Looked like it wasn't stocked on Sun Nite. Actually, It looked like nobody worked on Sun nite. They Blamed it on the warehouse. - pre-pkgd meals, produce. Sunday, 8/25, 1:30-2:30pm. Out of scallions. Produce Guy (without the earring) went out back to get some. Came back after 5min with 1bunch. "Oh, did u want more than 1?" I Guess not. I didn't want to put him out. Is he gonna run out back and dig every time someone wants scallions? Walnuts: tons of walnuts on the shelves: the most expensive ones or chopped. Completely out of the lower priced halves&pieces. So I spent $1.50 more than I should have on walnuts. Express check out- Cameron: I only had 12 items. He started putting my produce on the bottom-tomatoes- celery, and I had cans of coffee and a sixpack of cans. I had to remind him that the produce goes on top of the heavier items. These types of things have been happening with more frequency so I decided to say something. Is there Training? Not good reflection on mgt/company.

Used to go there for fresh produce. Every time I've gone there for the past few months everything has slowly gone down hill. Everything looks molted and rotten. The citrus and strawberry sections are the worst. Everytime I have to show an associate a rotten piece of fruit. Finally one day I asked "what happened here?" The associate told me that the department had changed managment and he wouldn't allow them to throw anything away. That he was responsible for culling the product but he doesn't because he worries about inventory numbers. It's sad because this used to be my favorite place to get fresh produce. There's always millcreek or Shaw's I suppose.

Went there for a few things while in the area. Got to the deli and waited 3 minutes with no line before someone even said I’ll be with you in a minute. Finally when I was helped the kid there just threw the cheese on the paper and stuffed it in the bag and now half of it isn’t even in a complete piece. Very clean and stocked shelves, but I dont plan on going back because of the customer service.

At 7.30 pm there is nothing to choose from at salad bar, just a bit of scattered leftovers Very poor selection of ready to eat salads and way overpriced Ready to eat sandwiches not looking fresh, dull looking , poor selection Nothing hot to grab except one roasted chicken All of this in in the middle of vacation season All the people posting how clean this store is most likely never seen clean supermarket There are some other places in Portland offering good selection of ready to eat meals around 7.30 pm , so if you getting off the beach or after work like me you out of the lack

I have been shopping at Hannaford (Shop n' Save) for over 30 years. Their customer service is top notch and everyone is helpful. I do want to comment about the one time I used Wal-Mart grocery service, I needed things from the department side of the store and couldn't shop for myself due to an injury. I placed my order and got an email saying to let them know when I was on my way. I don't own a cell phone so I used my tablet with WiFi. When I got there the sign said to call a number to let them know I was there. I couldn't do that so I knocked on the door twice and no answer. Luckily someone had pulled up to get there groceries and I let the employee know that I need my order. Thank you Hannaford for not assuming everyone has a cell phone and for making my shopping weather it's in store or to-go pleasant and effortless.

Oh this Hannaford is where the good groceries are hiding. This isn't your local run of the mill neighborhood Hannaford. This is where people go to see and be seen while shopping for groceries. You better dress up classy if you think you can buy a chacuterie tray from this Hannaford. This is the kind of place that doesn't feel the need to put its liquor section in an entirely different wing of the grocery story because they're worried about their clientele's increasingly damaging alcoholism. If you're shopping at this Hannaford, you've got the money to support that destructive habit and buy some of those fancy nuts and quinoa that comes out of those cereal tubes from college cafeterias. I would not call this a shopping mall though. Alcoholism kills.

By far this is my favorite supermarket in Greater Portland. I've been driving from Portland to food-shop here for years. The team members have always been genuinely friendly and helpful. I can't really say enough great things about them. From produce options to craft beer selection, it rivals any Hannaford in southern Maine/southern New Hampshire. And perhaps the best thing about this market is that getting in and out is a breeze as it is hardly ever a mob scene.

This Hannaford location is one of the nicer, more modern designs. Open-concept with plenty of space to buy the food and goods you need for your home. Easy access in the mall area with plenty of parking is a huge plus.
