I was going all the way across town to get my prescription for H.W. pills. I found my dog's heartworm pills online at Foland Veterinary Clinic and Vets First Choice and ordered the exact heartworm pills I needed and my vet sent it pronto and it was at my house in two days without running across town.

My experience with Vet's First Choice today was LOUSY. They messed up my dog's order causing him to go without medication he needs every day. Instead of trying to compensate for their mess-up, they presented a cavalier attitude. I will never give any of my business to them again and I regret having given them business in the past. They have some rude and lazy people, from agents on the phone, like Jessica who did not want to let me speak to her supervisor and hung up when I insisted, to supervisors on duty, like Andrea, who kept repeating "we have done all we can" and "we don't have the manpower for that." Totally uncaring too! Could care less that due to THEIR mistake my 13 year-old-dog goes without medication he needs everyday. I hope they don't have any pets of their own. I hope their CEO Ben Shaw, the shining star of New England's enterpeneurial world, who, as I was told, "does not deal with any customer issues," doesn't have any pets of his own. Horrible experience. They have so many negative reviews, and they don't seem to care!

At my vet's suggestion, I called and ordered Sentinel for my dogs. When asked if I wanted a 6 month or 12 month supply, I asked for 12 months. 12 days later the package still hadn't arrived. When I called to check on it, I was told that my vet had declined the 12 month supply because my dogs are due for heartworm testing in July, and my vet had put the 6 month supply into my shopping cart instead. Rather than send me the 6 month supply, Vets First Choice CANCELLED the order, and didn't even bother to let me know. My dogs are now overdue for their medication. I ordered the 6 month supply and asked if it could be expedited under the circumstances. I was told that I'd have to pay extra for expedited delivery, despite the fact that they messed up by canceling my order instead of calling to let me know there was a problem. Not happy. When a company makes a mistake, they should own up to it and fix it.

Shipping is slow with no option for expediting, at least for pet food. If you get your auto ship frequency right it's not a problem, but if you need something faster, you are out of luck. They also shipped me the wrong food and won't make it right in any way. I set the box aside (cat was refusing to eat the prescription food so I didn't open it right away) and didn't catch the error until after 30 days, so I'm screwed out of $72. None of the shipping or order paperwork mention this 30 day policy however. As an owner of lots of pets, I spend a ton with Vets First Choice / Covetrus, but not anymore. I'm on a hunt for a new supplier immediately.

There was some confusion as to what was ordered. We asked for HeartGard to prevent heart worm and were prescribed NexGard for fleas and ticks. As a really new dog owner, how would I know the difference. So I paid the $120 for the NexGard only to find out that this was not what we asked for or needed. But apparently, regardless of what you need, once you pay for it you own it. I'm very unhappy and will NEVER use them again.

Be careful of pressing a 10% discount autoship button. You will never get your money back... even when your dog dies during Hurricane Irma and you havent verbally approved your order. Big scam. They say it's the law that you cannot return unopened prescribed meds. Outrageous!!!

We have been using this service through our vet's office for a year. No issues on the auto fill orders until there was a price increase. Warning: You have to accept the price increase notice that they EMAIL you. No phone calls, no follow ups. It's on you. And if you're like us, you get 100s of emails a day and then notice you have enough food for 1 more day. Being a prescription based service, this is a lousy customer service practice.

Items do not ship from Maine. Items ship from Nebraska. Shipping from Nebraska to Massachusettes should NOT take 5-7 business days. This is a very poor business model. Update: the company reached out to us after this review and refunded us the $30. Our vet recently suggested we use this company to order meds for our dog. We were told the prices were similar to other online vet pharmacies. We received the medication but we’re charged over $30 more than what 1-800-petmeds, Pet Rx and Costco would all charge for the same product. I called the company and was told they don’t price match and we could not return it. Apparently they are giving false info to the vets and that is being passed along to the customers. The rep told me it is everyone’s choice who they order from. Not sure who would choose to pay $30 more than necessary. Terrible company.

In March I ordered a medication late on a Friday that needs refrigeration. I advised that I am running out so can they ship it out that day. It is supposed to be shipped packed in ice, overnight delivery for which I paid extra. They confirmed they would ship it out that day. By Tuesday, I still did not get it so I called. Turns out that it could not be shipped on Friday because it was too late and they do not ship on weekends so it did not go out until Monday. I was upset as I was told it would go out Friday. I was advised next time call on any other day but Friday. I called in an order for Rx cat food and the same medication, refrigerated overnight delivery at 9:30 am last Thursday. I explained it must go out that day so I can have it Friday. I only had 1 1/2 days of meds left. I was told absolutely. By 11 am Monday I did not have the medication so I called Foster and Smith and ordered the medication. I called vets first choice and got a rude customer service rep. She was unable to trace the shipment as to where it was in their system, or even whether it was even shipped. I told her to cancel the order and that I ordered the meds through another vender. She said if she finds it did not go out yet she will cancel it. I told her this was the second time this has happened and this is the last order at least for this med. I was lied to twice. That was 11:30 am Monday. Today,Tuesday, at 9:30 AM, less than 24 hrs after my order was called to Foster and Smith my order came as well as the peanuts I ordered. It's too bad they do not carry all the meds I need or Rx food. They are a good company.

If I could give 0 stars I would for the lousy customer service from Katie, Team Lead. As a brand new customer I ordered prescription medication and paid over $100 for the 2 prescriptions. They finally arrived at my house and my little dog sadly died that day before he could use them. I understand that the pharmacy cannot take the medications back by law, but I simply requested, out of compassionate understanding and good customer service a refund to my credit card for purchase price of the completely unused prescriptions since I can never use them and I am trying to cope with the loss of my beloved pet at the same time.It appears that Vets First Choice would rather grab my $100 at the time of my dog's death than keep me as a future customer with good customer service !

We have been taking our dog to Warren Animal Hospital from day 1. The vets always take their time with us and always are very warm and informative. They also offer convenient hours for those of us who work the typical 9-5 schedule. We did try a different vet only because it was conveniently around the corner. We quickly regretted that decision after being guilted into buying an abundance of medication that didn't even work. We quickly learned our lesson and went back to Warren Animal Hospital. Their prices are fair and they don't try to upsell unnecessary medication.

If I could give negative stars, I would. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Prices are no different from any price charged by your local pharmacy, except the difference is that Covetrus/Vets First Choice does not ship timely and shipping can well exceed 5 days. When you don't need the drug because it didn't arrive as promised, there are no returns for unopened medicine in the package in which it was shipped. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY again. Tell your friends. I am going to. Poor customer service. Covetrus/Vets First Choice indicated that I was contacted and my situation was resolved. That is FALSE.

Had a very good experience dealing with VIP Pet care. They micro chipped my pup along with running test for heartworm, etc. The results came back fast, faster then I expected. The vet and assistance were very friendly as well. They also recommended buying Sentinel for my dog since it wasnt as expensive as what I was originally going to purchase through a different company. There prices are right and the staff is great. Thank you for a good experience I will most definitely be back with my pup.

I ordered medication that my dog requires to stay in remission. She has an auto-immune disorder. I never received the order and had to run to the vet to buy it. I requested a refund (30 days later) and you investigated. Your investigation revealed that I indeed never received the medication. During the period between my paying for the medication and requesting a refund the bank card linked to my account was compromised and I had to cancel the card and request a new one. I was assured by Andrea that I would receive a refund check. Instead of a check I received an email from Andrea that a credit had been issued to my card. For obvious reasons it was never posted to my bank account. To make matters worse I received a snippy email from Andrea. See her email below: Hi Gayle, I appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve this issue for you. My shipping manager has reviewed your case and authorized a refund of your order for the lost package. I have submitted the refund request. As the credit card used is no longer valid, a check for $70.80 will be mailed to you AND TODAY: Hello! Thank you for contacting Vets First Choice! I apologize for the confusion. The $70.80 did get refunded back into your bank account although your card is no longer linked. As long as the account is still open, that credit will added. I hope this helps! I would give ZEO stars. They call their compounding pharmacy a 'warehouse', or a 'facility', and talk about the order having been 'picked'! The Roadrunner compounding pharmacy in AZ is just that! Not a warehouse, or facility - but most importantly - the medications are compounded - not PICKED! what is up with the lack of respect for the pharmaceutical profession! They also charge a $10 handling fee and charged me tax - yet if you order directly from Roadrunner pharmacy, there is FREE shipping and was told Maine does NOT require tax coming in. What a racket!! Talking to my vet to discontinue using these people as there are local compounding pharmacies with quicker turnaround time, no shipping or tax charges! I will have my vet call into the local compounding pharmacy that I use for future medications.

First and only experience was HORRIBLE. Used this service to order my epileptic cat's controlled seizure medication. The package was delivered completely crushed and all contents inside were crushed as well. The suspicious part is that there was no evidence of medication inside the destroyed package. Customer service suggested a refund would resolve the situation for me but when I stated that a breech in security and lack of medication was my concern the first representative told me to call FedEx. I asked to speak to a higher up who told me they would 'investigate further' and call me back but that they can't do anything to help besides refund me. I did call FedEx who said they settle only with the sending company, meaning that the Vets First Choice representative tried to falsely pass off the blame to avoid taking responsibility. I will be interested to find if Vets First Choice will make any attempt to actually rectify the situation in terms of how someone managed to find out that controlled drugs were in my package and where along the process they were taken AND to address the fact that my animals life saving medication was not delivered when she needed it. Luckily I was able to use a local pharmacy on emergency but had I not been able to, who would be responsible for my animal having a seizure?

After a week have not received any refund. Called them and they said the box was damaged. They sent me a photo, but that box was not even ours!!! Never order on line with a credit card. I had problems signing in after my vet set me up for meds required; This was Wednesday afternoon January 10, 2018 Spoke with Vet First people on phone and was told they were having problems with new program but they fixed the problem and I was able to click the order button and set up an account. I then ordered what my vet had set up for me Just by clicking the box with the info. The web page was not working but I am sure I did not click the order button twice. I then checked my bank and found out they had put two holds for the $85.00 order. I phoned right away and spoke with them. The order numbers were in order so no time had gone by between orders. I explained I was retired and could not afforded to keep the $85.00 out of my account. One order was cancelled by them and showed right away in my account and I was told the hold would be taken off BY the next business day. A number of calls today January 12, 2018 giving me the same run around once a hold was in place they could not remove it. I was very polite all the time and asked to talk with accounting and was advised I should call my bank to have it removed. I did and spoke with a person I know at the bank and was told They could not remove it without a fax from Vets First choice. I was also told the hold would not be taken off until January 15, 2018 at 10:14 PM. I was given a fax number and a name to give to Vets First Choice and with a note from them the hold would be removed. I gave the number and name to Vets Choice around noon today but as of 4:00 PM my bank had not received it. So I am out $85.00 until late on the 15th which will do me no good until Tuesday AM. Now this is almost a week holding my Money. This is not right. Also to add fuel to the fire my original order arrived this afternoon and the error will not be corrected for 6 days.

If I could give them negative stars I would. They would not work with me trying to locate a package that was shipped to the wrong address. They would not contact the shipper or offer me a refund. They don't know what customer service is. I have lost $330.00 in prescriptions for my dogs . Do you think I'm going to recommend them? HELL NO!! REVISED REVIEW-After posting this review, another supervisor called and said that the first person we spoke with did not handle the situation properly and she will send out a new shipment at no charge. That is an example of true customer service. I just hope they train all their people based on this incident.

Shipping was always slower but I switched from a competitor because this was convenient through my veterinarian’s website, and one of my regular prescription foods was slightly cheaper than the competitor. Everything was okay until suddenly with my most recent auto ship 1/2 of the food never appeared- I didn’t get a shipping notification within 3 to 5 business days but received one half of the order. So I called the customer service line as directed and was advised the other half of the food was on back order. This is an important food for my pets and they need to exclusively eat this diet. If I knew that it was for some reason on backorder, I would have ordered it elsewhere so that my pets do not run out and I am left scrambling for a way to feed them. After my call, I received an email informing me that the items were on backorder with my customer service case # attached to the email header. This is after the representative on the phone told me the backorder was brief and the items are now scheduled to ship today, but still no confirmation of shipping and conflicting information. I replied to ask when I should expect the items and currently have no response. This uncertainty and unreliable stock and ship instance, even just this one time, has caused me to look elsewhere even with a higher price point because I cannot risk my pets going without prescribed food in the future.

Not a very positive experience overall. This company acts as a vendor for my vet, but all communication is under my vets name. Finding what I needed was easy enough. Placing the order was not bad. BUT, my order was cancelled for some unknown reason. I contacted my vet to find out what was happening, but they could not give me any info. In the meantime, I kept receiving multiple emails from the company (using my vet's email address) telling me to complete an order that was not there and telling me there were items in my cart that were not there. After repeated calls and a trip to my vet, they got in touch with the company and corrected the problem. I finally received a call from the compsny telling me to complete the order and enter my payment info again. I will not be using this so-called 'convenience' again.
