REVIEWS OF Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital IN Indiana

One of the worst hospitals in the city. After waiting for a hour and a half I just walked out, with 8 people still ahead of me. The very rude woman that took my info first told me they couldn’t do anything for my pregnancy. My first and last time at that hospital. They might have a new ‘facelift ‘ but still poor service.

The worst hospital in Indiana they watched as people fall out in pain and no one tries to help. They misdiagnosed my mother and handed her Tylenol and release papers and told her to leave. All they do is take blood and don't try to help to even to help her breath. WE HAD TO TAKE HER TO ST VINCENT AND THANK GOD THEY HELP.

This place is horrible. Brought in my boyfriend as he was having symptoms that were similar to that of a stroke. Factor 5 blood clotting disorder runs in his family and I’m beyond disgusted at the urgency or even human decency concerning the care he received. It took 5 hours to have someone update us on the results of a scan. What blows me away the most is the lack of care, as the only time we’ve been able to speak with a nurse or someone who can give us any information has been when I had to go hunt one down. I’m truly disgusted, DO NOT COME HERE.

I'm only giving one star because I can't give a 0. I was in labor, my contractions were 3-4 minutes apart, I told them I had been bleeding it took like 20 minutes for a nurse to call my name and she was just taking her time chewing gum. I was screaming in pain and it seemed like she just didn't care. Once the doctor came and checked my cervix I was 10 centimeters dilated, so I couldn't get an epidural, If they were faster I could have. Then they put a bag on my baby's vagina so she could pee in it to test it... my baby didn't pee for a day with that on her so we were concerned and asked them to check on it, once they took it off my baby burst with so much pee and they were not able to get a sample so they put another bag on her so they can get a sample so she went another day without her wetting her diaper so we told the doctor that the bag is stopping her from using the bathroom and that is not safe for her little bladder but they didn't agree. So me and the father decided that we are going to take the bag off to see if she would pee and she did finally pee and had a bowel movement immediately. They could've killed my baby making her hold all that in for so long! The food was also terrible they served us bread with mold in it. If you eat their bread rolls cut it open before you eat it. I suggest you not even go there it was the worse experience I ever had at a hospital.

So look I had 3 to 4 different ppl call me yesterday just to tell me how sorry they are and how can they help lol it's 24hrs later still haven't got my meds or the phone call that they say they was go return I'm convinced that I'm truly dealing with a bunch of sorry individuals but if I have to go through the holidays in this pain my new years go start by consulting a lawyer smh

I have been going to this hospital for a long time and I have a guide dog that assists me I have never had a problem until being placed with a new neurologist on October 5,2017 I went for a second visit on January 11,2018 and my service dog was denied for false accusations I tried to inform them that she is a service dog you cannot deny me or her access I did make a report . But here is my question the doctor had said my service dog jumped on her and barked if that happened why was it not reported until now and why all of a sudden are the staff saying that the fell threatened by my service dog to me it makes no since she is really well behaved there are no complaints anywhere else I go and I go to College I volunteer in schools, community centers and never has Stella ever in her 5 years barked she cries when another dog barks at her I don’t want another individual to go through what I did because it is against the law to deny a service dog . Very bad experience :( if this really happened with the doctor I would have been asked to leave the day it happened not the next visit .

"Ramses" or whatever his name is wouldn't take my medicare supplement plan, saying the card was something else. I literally used the same card, same plan three times since. This isn't the battle of Thermopylae, you can throw all them rainbow immortals off the cliff after we get done bbqing big guy there for borderline medicare fraud, I'm sure he would feed the whole village. Otherwise alright.

Had to give a star even though the Nephrology department does not deserve one. The head nurse Florance Nelson tried to get me fired. She took my address and number out of the computer several times. She never calls back. She has made me go without my medications several times. She thought it was funny when I got breast cancer. You can not be a head nurse of a hospital department and pick and chose who you want to help. I have proof to videos and messages I have left the staff. Dr Allon Friedman will smerk at you. He will not listen to you. I begged him to teach me my lab work. He would not. The students that come and go in that hospital know even less than I do and I did not have to go to college to learn what they do not even know. Never let doctors try there kickbacks on you and try to push you around. Noncompliant doctors should not have able to work with people. Doctors can not just think all patients want to belly up and die. Noncompliant doctors and staff will pay by the Lord Jesus..the bible says. Do not go near Florance or freidman or any othet doctor in the Eskenzai nephrology department if tou chose life and long to have a wonderful team to help tou through dialysis ..this hospital only wants your money and to push you around.

The burn unit and staff was very patient, informative, and professional. My brother was there years ago for his semi accident. He was roughly 2 hours away by vehicle, therefore he had to be life lined. Eskenazi was the ONLY hospital willing to take my brother. I can understand smaller hospitals like the one he was closes to not accepting him due to his injuries. However a larger hospital (and closest) was called and they refused to take him!!!! Their excuse was his burns were “over” their percentage for treatment, because the burns were in a confined area and not spread out over the body. Therefore it exceeded their 20-30% burn ratio. They considered his burns at 50% because it was limited to his torso, face, and right arm!!! The trauma department and staff were so patient and professional as well. My brother wasn’t as bad as a few of the other patients that I remember seeing, but they still cared and treated all of us the same. I am now a CNA and wish that I could work on your burn unit!!! Keep up the wonderful job!

Nurses are rude unless your a patient. ER looks like that movie scene out of Beetlejuice. Docs give you pills and on your way

I bring my grandmother to her appointments all the time today her apt was at 9 am they didn't call her back until after 10! This is unacceptable! Every time it's minimum 3 hours being here she is 90 years old and their excuse was they are busy well maybe if they knew how to schedule appointments correctly No one would have to wait and be inconvenienced like this!

Eskenazi Health saved my life

Fire Star

I went there because I was deferred from a plasma donation because I was in a hypertensive crisis, my BP was 180/105. Upon arrival the check in staff was absolutely wonderful, however it wasn’t until I met the sadistic doctor JAKE that I felt lacking of care and concern. Even after confirming my urgent and possible FATAL condition, this HORRIBLE un compassionate doctor attempted to send me home with ONLY IBUPROFEN!!!!!!!!!! Ibuprofen because I complained of a headache which more than likely was a symptom of the hypertension. He queries about my headache in a very condescending manner asking how do I know the headache is attributed to my high blood pressure and I calmly inform him of my previous history with this issue which was very difficult because I was becoming very irritated with this “doctor’s” unprofessional behavior and lack of concern for my welfare. He again insists upon giving me ONLY ibuprofen And asks for a urine sample to r/o any possible pregnancies

My Long Visit Night hours: I thought it qould be bad initially. The nurses were gossiping about oatients in a hurtful manner, they only staffed 1 doc at the time, and I waited 6 hours for any kind of relief. HOWEVER Day Hours: When the doctor came and more docs areived as well as the day nurses, everything changed. They were extremely giving, attentive, polite, professional, and helpful. They gave 100 percent and had the absolute best service and expertise. I was service hand and foot and had all my exams processed timely. The day staff turned everything around for me! Thank you all, and still thanks to that one kind night doc tor who was the one patient guy there that night. PS this was the ER.

Kabria Wade

Waiting rooms are ridiculous, i had to wait a hour just for my named to be called. Staff is unprofessional and understaffed ! Ghetto etc, when i clicked my emergency button no one responded. Also when they finally show up their response was “if we’re with another patient we have to finish up with them before we can come to you” ! All they do is have you laying there for hours so your hospital bill can go up, give you pain meds, and send you home! If my life depended on it, i still will never come back to this trashpital EVERRRERRR!

Kaneshia Ransom

Veryyyyyy bad hospital I'll never come here again.... The wait area for pregnant women is just horrible, I will never come back... I sit in pain for three hours and still haven't been seen in pissed

Al Tabor

I was in ICU for two for multiple gun shot wounds, they saved my life and took good care of me while I was there.

Jamala Beer

The worst hospital I have ever been to. The nurses at registration are jaded from being in the city to long and having to continually treat junkies seeking a fix so they assume everyone coming to their facility is doing just that. It's 2:49am and I am brought balled up sobbing due to the amount of pain I was experiencing. There were no other patients just 3 nurses and a medic standing there talking while I sat there sobbing and in pain. Then when I tell them what the issue is and why and where she rolls her eyes and says why would you come to this conclusion?! I said why and she then says well that means nothing! If you dont stop I won't treat you! At this point I'm ready to loose my temper as I'm trying to explain and you are basically telling me why I'm wrong. So I then lost it yelled extremely loud and forcefully. So, of course Mr. Gun at the door comes in with his hand on his gun and says if you dont be quiet you will go elsewhere. I said you're right I will! I get it you see people all night and day trying to trick you and take advantage! However. I'm not those people and the fact that you dismissed me and what I was trying to say tells me you should no longer be an ER nurse! Go elsewhere and get your compassion back. I'm sorry I wasn't in the best mood as I literally felt like my bladder was falling out from my body!! I usually have the upmost respect for what you have to deal with, however, not when I'm trying to deal with an emergency of my own and not your attitude!

Easy to maneuver within.

New hospital for the public.yes few patient who attends this hospital are from misfortunate group.but that doesn't take away from the quality facility and doctor who operates inside.

Brandon owens

My brother got in a car accident today. We came to the hospital to sit in the waiting room for over a hour when he was complaining of hip pain he couldn’t feel his right foot and his leg is cold and his back hurt. They told him to sit in the waiting room and we sat there for over an hour. We get back to the room and he explains everything to the dr and she comes back with Ibuprofen and Tylenol that was it his pain scale was at 10 and that’s all she gave him she didn’t even check his leg that he cut still feel as of now. I would never go to this hospital in my life again

Catherine Garcia

Had planned on a natural home birth, but complications prevented that from happening. I chose to go to Eskenazi for financial reasons. Their labor and delivery and postpartum is wonderful. I felt comfortable and important. All staff treated me respectfully and kindly. They let my other children be a part of the experience as well. I have nothing but good things to say.

Perry Stockard

Great place... I was treated so very nice

Mindi Conner

Dr.Savage and an entire team of medical professionals saved my life. We were unable to find a neurologist comfortable enough to take me on as a patient so we traveled to Indy. Dr. Savage was forthright about my condition and what risk were involved with the removal of my brain tumor. Dr. Savage has a friendly and talented group of interns. I was treated with dignity and respect by nearly everyone I encountered at Eskenazi. I am grateful for all the patience , care and understanding I received form the staff. I highly recommend Eskenazi.

Nick Curtis

I cant rate 0 Or i would They have the worst payment department that i have ever seen. Stay away from here unless you want a ridiculously high bill and than no one to even talk to about it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Amazing care for me and my preemie.

I have been going to Eskenazi for years. Almost 20 years ago they(Wishard) diagnosed me with Lupus SLE after other hospitals didn't. It was always asthma, or infection... Wishard got it right. Later, I was going to Methodist for insurance reasons and they missed diagnosing me with Shrinking Lung Disease and had me on the wrong meds which didn't work anyways. In 2014 I began going to Eakenazi after insurance changes. I was scared and pregnant, fearful that lupus would cause major complications. I did but the world class care I received allowed me to bring my baby home, healthy. Again in 2016 I found out I was pregnant and had complications. Yet again the phenomenal care I received allowed me to bring my healthy baby girl home. Both were in NICU and they too were very caring for not only the babies but the families. I can't say enough. I can't that them enough. I am able to live a quality life with a condition that is scary and can be devastating. I completely trust them with the care of not only me, but my family as well. Even a recent kidney biopsy was pleasant. That is saying a lot. The doctors were calming, patient and kind. Everything went smoothly and I was very pleased. The nurses go out of there way to help patients. A big thank you to all of them. I would highly recommend this hospital for your family's health and wellness.

Mark Sal

If you are someone who believes that being able to contact someone is important then you should avoid this place. The service is not only terrible, but if you attempt to call them you won't be able to. If after jumping too many hurdles you are able to get in contact with someone they most likely will promise to call you and then (if you really need to talk to someone) make you jump those hurdles again after never hearing from them again.

Johnny Silas

Two years ago, I was admitted to ER and got transfer to ICU, stayed there a couple of days, finally got discharge. During my stay at the Hospital, I received exceptional care from doctors, nurses, social workers, management teams, just to name a few... A couple months later, received a hospital bill in a mount of almost $100k but one of their social workers was working pretty hard with me so that I did't have to pay a lot... I decided choosing PCP from the facility for my whole family, still go there. Can't thank enough Eskenazi. God bless. Highly recommanded for family and friends.

Marc Parton

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and inviting.

Took me 4 hrs to get in the emergency room an get an inhaler not because of long line or high traffic because the nurses would not stop gossiping an talking non stop my inhaler Sat on a counter for over an hr before someone noticed it was there an finally did my paperwork to get me out of this hell

The offices are usually in some sketchy spots of town. Sometimes you will have to drive clear to the other side of town to see your doctor. But the biggest problem I had was with the billing. I have been working on straightening out my billing for one surgery for about 5 months now. First, they had trouble connecting with my insurance, so they charged me a hefty $50 copay on my credit card, which afterwards the other staff members said was excessive. They neglected to refund me once things were in order(like they said they would), it went to my overall bill. Their prices can be super expensive, which no one mentions prices to you until months after you've already done it. My doctor was always in a rush, and that become a problem to where we had complications with my surgery. So I talked to Ashley with Patient Relations. When I went in person, I told her my story and she said she would call me. Thankfully, she's waived some of the bills from the complications. But she has yet to return my calls after that. The billing help line also tells you what you want to here, and after calling for 4 months to get my bills in order, only one person returned my call like they said they would. If you have HIP, they are a great place to go. But if you have no insurance, or any other kind of insurance it can be rather difficult. It doesn't feel like the employees care about their patients. And they have you travel all the time to get to your doctor. Ultimately, I will pay what I owe. But I will not be going back.

I just relocated to Indianapolis 4 months ago so I looked up the closes emergency room which was Eskenazi, after I bent over and my back just went out. It was the most terrible pain I have ever felt. I could barely walk. I went to the emergency room and all the doctor did was asked me if I was an IV user because of my back pain. They keep reiterating that an IV drug user has problem with there spine. I could not believe it!!!!!!!! It was the most humiliating, hurtful, depressing and embarrassing thing to deal with. I explained to them that I’m a nursing student and I work at St. Vincent (which I should have went to it I was closer to Eskenazi) and I have never did drugs in my life. I explained to them that I was not there for pain medication but to give explanation or an X-ray or MRI because of the pain. I never had any past problems with my back. Now I understand that the drug epidemic, but not every person that comes to the ER is in need of drugs. I came because I wanted someone to help understand what was wrong with me!!!!! That’s all I went to St Vincent and found that I sprained my back and took great care of me. I explained my experience to the people at St Vincent and they even agreed that I don’t look like an IV drug user.

Nora Harris

Dr's at Eskenazi found a major problem with my boyfriend's spine that Community East completely overlooked. Emergency surgery was needed to correct the condition and despite him not having insurance, they gave him the surgery and helped him get insurance. Very modern, clean hospital and great staff.

Joshua Fry

Horrible hospital even though they built it brand new. The employees need to study laws on HIPAA. They put all my business out to the public then get mad because I transferred to Community and called the drug manufacturer and withdrew me from their prescription assistance program without even informing me. You will be hearing from my attorney.

The burn unit staff are amazing!

I went to the E.R on Thursday morning at 12:05 am I didnt get placed into a room until 2:20 am..once I was placed in a room a nurse saw me immediately and asked basic questions after that it wasnt until 5 am until the doctor and came in and actually helped me... the employees are great when you actually get to talk to them but the wait is ridiculous

Andrea Roell

I was cutting grass and had a clump of metal hurl out from under my mower and lodge into the calf of my right leg. When the ambulance came they asked me if I wanted to go to Eskenazi. I was very hesitant and at first said no because I remember hearing stories from when it was Wishard and General Hospital...yes unfortunately I am that old. :) Anyway, after a brief discussion I chose Eskenazi. I can now tell you that I am so glad I did. Everyone was very nice, very informative, very helpful, etc. The hospital was very clean. If you are concerned like I was, I can just tell you that my experience with Eskenazi was (even under these circumstances) great -i received excellent treatment. And actually, I would like to add that all medical personnel that "came to my rescue" were exceptional including the ambulance staff and the emergency response team.

Boo B00

Plz don't go here if you need help. I went to the ER because Of poison ivy on my arms and face and eye lids . 4 hrs later a sweet Dr she was came by and said we do not treat bug bites. And her Mom told her not to it . I was at a lost . So after 4 hrs and the Dr . Not looking at the poison ivy I went to another hospital and with in 15 mins. The Dr was in my room and with in 30 mins total I had meds to help with poison ivy on my eye lid . I would like to say that almost everyone was on a cell phone so you have to wait for a nurse as ebay comes 1st . Seen it 1st hand .

Otis Kirkland

I never post comments for anything. I feel it was necessary in this case. The hospital exceeded my expectations. 1. Doctors arrived to the room in a timely fashion and stayed as long as necessary to explain the situation. 2. Nurses were extremely patient and communicative. 3. Doctors followed through on communications. Example - Calling at 2AM when the CT results were available. 4. Courtesy food cart was provided. 5. Heart beat rememberance provided. 6. Hand print remembrance provided. You never want to lose a loved one. But the above experience made it a lot easier.

Christina Britt

Hospital has always sucked and they don't care about anyone, plus there surgeons suck!

CW

My 89 year old mother was taken to Eskenazi after threatening behavior due to end stage dementia. From the time she arrived in the emergency department until her discharge several days later, she was treated with the utmost respect and compassion, from the doctors, nurses, therapists, housekeeping, etc. She was very confused and both verbally and physically abusive but the staff understood her illness and were able to calm her down and treat her with dignity. They were equally as kind to me as well. Unfortunately my mother passed away from her illness a few months later but I will always remember and deeply appreciate the care that she received at Eskenazi.

Ms Sassy

Only gave 1 star because I can't give no stars absolutely time wasters why even have a phone if no one answers it and there is no law that a spouse can't pick up a prescription for another spouse just want to waste time it's just Wishard with a new building that they don't even deserve they should have kept the old one because nothing has improved at all I will never be going back there is rather die

Tonya Mintze

Terrible hospital, I believe that they killed my grandma, she had cancer and the first 3 day in hospice they wouldn't fee her nor give her water no iv, the 3rd day we insisted on them give her something and they give her jello, and pudding, and cancer cells feed on suger and they gave her plenty of sugar up until she died so sad doctors can kill people and not be held against them what a world

kimberly venegas

TRUE STORY-I took my mom to this hospital today and we drove 1 hr all the way down from franklin central to make it to an appointment she had at 9am, we left franklin at 8am got here at 9am and didn't get attended until 10am we still waited another 3 hours to JUSTT get registered and another hour to talk to a doctor, the worst patients you can have are the ones who leave unsatisfied and tell others about this kind of experience

Valley Girl

The two gentlemen that helped me were awesome in the MRI dept!!! The security guy at the emergency entrance was courteous too! The time it takes to get a MRI is too long and that's the only issue I had.

Miss Holmes

I delivered both sons there and I didn't have any problems the staff is really nice they have all types of good food big rooms really I will be delivering my baby girl there this year

Ariel McMiller

Some of the staff and Nurses are really great, but some of them are not as knowledgeable as they need to be. I am currently 7 months pregnant and NOT one doctor nor nurse caught that I was dehydrated nor did that catch the fact that I had an ear infection. My care is now at St. Vincent. So I gave them a 3 because of the polite staff but as far as my care while pregnant; I will not be back.

Michael Prince

After my delivery experience, I would like to change my review. I believe I over reacted but still feel like we waited too long to get in to be seen. That delivery staff were so wonderful that I actually had to get some thank you cards. I would like to give the nursing staff a 5 star rating and a great thank you to the support they gave me. We are on our 4 day here and ready to go home. The only other thing that I would change is more than two parking passes. I just paid $33 to leave the parking garage to get my grandma so she could see the baby.

britttany pierce

I'm highly disappointed in the mental health service they provide. You have to self harm before they FORCE treatment but if you seek it they brush you off for weeks. What's the point in saying "ask for help" if they don't actually help. And she has insurance damn good insurance:(

Heidi Smith

The experience was great they treated me like a human being unlike community hospital east.

Got to the pharmacy (coming from Bloomington) minutes after close, but the gentleman with dreads and a beard refused me. I understand right is right, just disappointing to miss a dose when both the medication and pharmacy tech were just metres from me. I’d suggest anyone going here to switch to Walgreens or CVS if possible.

Betty Engel

Everyone was kind and helpful. Would recommend.

They wake you up at 6 to take your bandages then make you wait 5 hours to be seen by the burn doctors while your arms and are open wounds and they also lie think id rather of took my chances at home with my burns

My wife had my baby last night! They was great they took care of us the doctors and nurses was great! They were all very friendly

Chirsty Coffelt

Doctors do not listen at all. Came in with a kidey stone and was offer only tynol. If that worked at home i wouldnt have came in. The rudest doctor (using the term doctor usely) wouldnt even listen to me and i have been dealing with kidney stones for 11 years.

Cheryl Ann

Horrible! I was rushed to the ER then admitted overnight to Eskenazie when it was newly opened. I had severe diarrhea and pain and quite a number of other symptoms after returning home from a trip. They treated me with antibiotics and the terrible symptoms subsided. They came into my room as if I were a lab rat and had every med student and doctor and nurse and janitor look at me. I got absolutely no rest at the hospital. Since all these rocket scientists could not identify the bacteria they assumed it was a viral infection, took me off the antibiotics, and released me without a prescription. They told me to follow up with one of their doctors in a few weeks. In the meantime my shooting diarrhea and other symptoms returned immediately without the antibiotics. When I saw their idiot doctor for follow up, he told me to return in 3-mos and still did not give me antibiotics. I asked him if he was aware that people die of dysentery and never went to see any doctors at Eskenazie again. I got an $11k bill in the mail from them, too, that was not covered by my health insurance. Since that day I have been getting more and more ill despite all of my attempts to get treatment. I had to stop working last year and sell my house to support myself. Many days I am bed bound. I just found out that I have post infectious myalgic encephalomyelitis and had the dummies at Eskenazie known what they were doing I would not be where I am today. They ruined my health and my life.

Trent Johns

I cut my finger on some glass at work and I wasn’t sure the extent in the injury. I was concerned about glass still being in the wound or how deep the cut was. The staff treated it like a joke and not taking it seriously. I had to ask them to check for possible glass and they still barely looked. Also I could hear them talking outside my room and they were call it a paper cut. Very unprofessional and should treat all injuries seriously

C R

My sister was taken to Eskenazi emergency room for an evaluation. Her lithium levels were so high that they check them twice. The second time they did not go down but they still sent her home. The next day she was seen wandering out into the road and taken in by ambulance to Eskenazi. They did nothing for her there then and sent her home that night she went to community Hospital they got an emergency detention on her. She stayed for five days. Thank God for community or she might not be here today. I would not give them one star except for that zero stars is not an option

Alison King

My mother had to stay in the hospital recently and regrets choosing Eskenazi. She was admitted to the ER and had a 1-3 hour wait to be seen, no big deal. It was when she was actually given a room that things went down hill. The evening/over night nurse that was helping my mother was far too distracted and forgetful. I understand that nurses work understaffed and that it could have just been a "bad night" for her, but it was just ridiculous. My mother had called multiple times to have her pain medication brought to her, which finally happened about an hour after the first call. They neglected to keep her heat pad warm, which was something absolutely necessary to keep the swelling down. My mother was never properly entered into the system and she was unable to order meals. When the time came for her to be discharged, she had the paperwork and everything was signed and had the OK to leave, but had to wait for the nurse to remove her IV. Her experience had her so upset that she ended up leaving the hospital in tears.

Amazing hospital with amazing employees.

Lets Talk About PARC. All They Do Is Empower The Police And Abusive Behavior. This Is Where A Cop Will Send You If You Complain About Street Theater and Mob Stalking. They Disregard The Abuse And Medicate You Until You Puke. They Will Not Even Take 5 Minutes To Evaluate Your Medical Case Before Labeling You Insane and Take Away Your Rights. They Insult You For Being Different Using Your Personal Medical Records While Sharing It With The World. The Rest Of The hospital Seems Rather Lousy Too. What Keeps The Eskenazi Alive Is That Paramedics Have Very Few Other Places To Take An Individual So It Doesn't Matter How Bad The Service Is. Typical Place That Supports The Local Royalty.

chris Bale

I'm at Eskenazi hospital and I have this asian nurse who is literally keeping me hostage in my room. it started when my ivy was beeping. soar throat and all I scream for a nurse for a good hour yet no answer As if my ivy beeping wasn't annoying enough I now had to pee really bad and still no answer from a nurse so I use the room phone to call downstairs so they can send anyone in my room to help. Your wondering why I had to scream and use a phone to call downstairs for help? That's because the nurse never gave me a call light and it wasn't anywhere near me or the hospital bed. Their supervisor then tried to excuse this behavior by saying "was she here during shift change which I say yes she was but she wasn't doing anything my alarm kept beeping for hours and during that time I could see nurses lounging around eating on their phones their pcs

This review is strictly regarding The Sky Farm at Eskenazi Health @ Green Elevator 7th floor. I’m leaving 5 stars because I’m sure the actual view from the garden is great, as I watch the view from inside the hallway adjacent to the garden. Just leaving this review to inform folks who want to check out the skyline view that as of 16MAR2019, the Sky Farm is closed due to renovations. The automatic doors don’t open, and there are fences and yellow tape blocking entrance.

I am in Indy from out of town and needed to go to the ER. From check-in to registration, to patent care, to payment to pharmacy I interacted with a dozen staff members in less than an hour, and you could name a flying cupcake after each one of them!!! They were sweet, comforting, and provided just the right amount of love. Extra kudos to Nurse Alyson (sp?) - exceptional and indelible care. Hope its another decade before I'm back in an ER, but if I am, I can only hope the staff is nearly as wonderful as those at Eskanazi ER.

This is one of the worst place to work in America!!!!! Management is horrible and I do mean just that but that stems from POOR LEADERSHIP!!!! How is it that you’re new to the company and they give you a few hours training in a system you have never seen before and expect you to be Great???? I worked for free off the clock with leadership knowing and responding back in an email saying Thank you. I was so happy when I started because I was looking for growth and opportunity but I was so wrong it’s not at Eskenazi at all. It’s even bad as being a patient it’s sad because the vision that Eskenazi has is great but until the employees learn how to become team players it will never work. Yes you have a new name and facility but still operating under the same old Wishard policies. It’s sad I left in my on I just hope leadership will do something about what’s going on and not wait for something bad to happen. I wouldn’t recommend a dead dog to work for this place. I would like to respond to the owner. You may want to see exactly what your management team is doing because that is not what happened with me. I had a few hours of training on a system I had never seen before then they trained me on the system from a case manager stand point when I wasn’t a case manager. I had a 1 on 1 after my 30 days that was all they can’t keep people in the area I was in within in less of a year I was the third person that had come into that department so you may want to dig a little deeper as to what is really going on.

Worst social working staff I have ever encountered. If you have a loved one who needs care do not bring them here.

Beth Bisson

Bad experience overall with obgyn care. Several times I wasn’t checked in properly leading to extended waits. Appointments weren’t scheduled properly leading to multiple unnecessary visits. Doctors seemed overworked and I often felt like I was being rushed through my appointments and the doctor hadn’t fully reviewed my history or remembered me at all despite multiple visits. Lack of experienced doctors meant many of my questions and concerns were not addressed or researched and were basically dismissed.

Mother was having bad pains and they did nothing except give her a ice pack and gave her pain meds and sent her home the nurse is so lazy she took 10 Mins to find a wheelchair so I could personally take my mom to the car go to community health at least their not lazy

Tee Man

being a patient / family member they do fine with it's the working there is their downfall, " saying it's teamwork but truth is ME work".. Why the high turnover rate??? why so many cut throat action??? Remember, all those who hide undercover will sooner or later be shown in the light >>>>>

I am going to be very honest, I had low expectations going to Eskenazi because I have heard mostly bad things about there hospital. I visited the mental health walk in clinic because I was not well in the head. Beverly the receptionist was the most amazing kind receptionist I have ever met. I did have to wait slightly over an hour to talk with someone but Beverly was so kind, I just started talking to her and I think she knew I wanted someone to talk to while I waited and she gave me a very inspirational talk while I waited. Its amazing how I went from being a complete mental wreck to feeling much better before even seeing the clinician just from her kindness and listening skills. She went above and beyond the call of duty. An employee like her is very rare, Eskenazi should be proud of her. The clinician I talked to was also a great listener and appeared to take very detailed notes and had better active listening skills than most pychiatrists I have talked to. I was also impressed by the facilities. It is in a lovely modern building. The hospital cafeteria was also surprisingly good. I was blown away they had sushi, crabcakes, and egg rolls. It was also very well priced, the sushi was about 6.50 and very good for the price. The crab cakes were about 1.70 each and were good considering it came from a hospital cafeteria. Everyone was nice to me and I was happy with the care I received.

I had to take a friend to the ER today... The people that work here are kind and supportive, from the guy who checked us in, to the nurse, the Dr, and the Xray technician. They were very busy, and the staff was young....but, wow, they are all professional, and beyond competent.

Angel Sanchez

I'm 26 and I recently had a surgery after getting struck by a car. They put a stabilizer on my left leg . Everyone that I have encountered at the facility has been a golden star in my book! I read a few other reviews and all I have to say is, have patience with the staff. They aren't employees at BurgarKing. They are the people that are about to change your world, so be kind. I have appointments every week until my leg recovers. You might see me there rolling in my wheelchair. ☺

raena sartin

They were very professional, knowledgeable and genuinely cared for my daughter. I couldn't have asked for better treatment. It resulted in faster recovery as a result.

Reteeks Official

Great place, got attended quickly.

MEGHAN MCKISSACK

Apparently a pregnant woman who isn’t in labor is NOT a priority. My child is just as important as the other children that come here. I was given an antibiotic that caused a severe allergic reaction. It’s been about 2 hours and I still haven’t been seen. I was the second person here and I have literally watched 3 other women go ahead of me. They just tell me to be patient. Kind of hard to when my body is all red, itchy and possible anaphylactic shock is taking place. I wanted to deliver here originally but now I might go else where. Very disappointing.

Sherri Hart

Almost 3 months ago I had 2nd & 3rd degree burns and a fracture leg!!!! The burn unit was awesome!!!! They took very good care of me and my family!!!!! All the Drs. & Nurses was very patient and kind and they did their job!!!! I will recommend anyone that has bad burns please go to Eskenazi Hospital Burn Unit!!!! The rooms are amazing!!!! I'm still under the Drs.care and I go there for rehabilitation!!!! Burn Unit your the "Best"!!!!!!

Never go there for emergency mental health care. Took my daughter there 2 days ago where we spoke to some uncaring social social worker who consulted with an unseen doctor for 5 minutes and told us they would not help my daughter and she did not need inpatient care and gave us a list of number of places to go for outpatient care. She is a schizophrenic heroin addict who was completely out of her mind and is now in jail. Thanks Eskenazi! Thanks for your help.

Cindy Alfaro

If you plan to have a doctor here, they make you wait over and hour and a half before they actually see you.

Woofy T

SO how many times you need to call for one appointment & do not give me that "we was busy BS. Mama had made three phone calls way ahead of time & still has not be able to see her Doctor. Man talk about your blow hard ... I smell a lawsuit For real .... GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!~~!~!!!!!!!!!

Tiffany Vaden

Waiting on the 5th Floor for pregnant women is terrible, I’ve been sitting here almost 5 hours and haven’t been seen , in pain and having Braxton Contractions at 24 weeks, they need some serious help..

Tiffany Lang

This is the absolute worst emergency room experience in my life first off I came in the ambulance because of my pain level and they decided to put my in the emergency room instead of a room where the nurse kicked the bottom of my foot and told me I couldn't lay here mid you its hats to sit up and I sat there for over an hour in pain omg this is the WORST PLACE EVER FOR PAIN

Vivian Harden

I really wish I can give no stars, my experience went from the using my right hand which were good to barely using my right hand due to surgery because the doctors said it was carpal tunnel to no muscle, not functioning correctly, fingers can’t straighten out and still the same symptoms I started with the reason I got the surgery because I thought the doctors were able to fix the problem but they made me feel as though I should had left well enough alone, dealing with that terrible hospital. The first doctor I had did the surgery and went on maternity leave I didn’t get no physical therapy after surgery but after the second I’m thinking that they will bring my muscle back in my hand which then they say I never had carpal tunnel but nerve damaged, doctors lie to cover themselves and use me as a Test subject........

Absolutely amazing hospital and I’m really shocked at how well we were treated after the hell we had been through with our local docs and er! My son was given a drug called Compazine in our local er three days prior for severe nausea. As soon as the iv Compazine was given he began feeling extremely funny. We wrote it off as just being normal since the dr said it would sedate him and make him loopy! Long story short three days after my son starts declining mentally and physically. Said he felt disconnected from his body, he couldn’t speak correctly or quickly. He had delayed response And having trouble with stability! I took him to our pcp and they thought he was just having anxiety. We knew better! I drove two hours from home to this hospital and explained our situation to check in at the er! They ordered him stat and got him back to a room where we saw the doctor in a timely manor. They listened to my sons concerned first than mine and evaluated him! At this point we decided he probably is having a reaction to Compazine even tho it should’ve been out of his system by now. Regardless they treated him with Benadryl to counteract this other medication. Wishing about a half an hour tops my so. Started to come around more, He was relaxed and becoming himself again! Because of the attention to the patient and listening to the patients concerns without dismissal the doctor and nurses was able to assess his condition and treat his condition properly! I’m not sure what the problem is in vermillion and vigo county Indiana but the doctors there where we live treat everyone as if they are either psychotic or drug seekers and it’s truly hurting patients! I will never take my son anywhere else again! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi hospital ER for your compassion, open ears and minds and lastly for helping my baby get better!

Alicia Rivera

Went for an MRI on sept 10 got it done but few weeks later got a bill if my Medicaid did not cover it why they did not tell me

Mariah Manley

Dennison parking sucks. You can’t sit outside of the hospital and wait for your patient. They tell you to keep circling or park in the garage. Thats so ridiculous. They are often rude when they tell you that you can’t park there. I can park in ER entrance and wait but not the main. That makes no sense. I am going to IU from now on. Get a hold of yourself dennison.

SaNdra Taylor

Boyfriend was burned really bad. He was healed by this awesome team in the burn unit. THE BEST

Kylo Ren

I was feeling suicidal, so I went to the ER, which is what people tell you to do. While there, I was reviewed by a black woman from Massachusetts. She was an idiot! I told them I have never done any drugs, and she said, "You're the only one!" and then proceeded to tell me about all the drugs she does. Whenever I told her something, she'd just argue with me. When I told her I wanted to kill myself, she said, "Killing yourself is easy! You must not be trying hard enough." When I called to complain about her, I was hung up on for no reason. A doctor told me this was "the best hospital in Indiana," but if that's the case, people need to start crossing state lines to get medical treatment, because this place is a joke.

Jamie Lee

Took my husband to this hospital for chest pains. Doctors claimed he was ok we walked out and got down the street and he collapsed and suffered a heart attack at 39 years old I don't recommend this hospital to anyone. My husband went to another hospital and received the best care ever. We are going to be filing a lawsuit this week against the hospital plus we are putting it all over the news

Nany Ala

I had my baby girl in this hospital and the service was excellent, Doctors, nurses and staff were all polite, nice and very professional.

Erica Lowe

Went today to the Triage Ob on the fifth floor today. Waited 4 hours to see a doctor because I’m pregnant and was bleeding on myself only to get a positive pregnancy test from the nurse telling me I was pregnant and that the doctor would be in. The nurse stuck me into a room where I waited to see a doctor for 4 hours. Not once did a nurse come to my room to let me know that the doctor was running behind or going to be late so I decided to finally get up and go to the nurse station is at where the nurse and the physician is and just asked when will the doctor be in. The Phycician answered very rude that the doctor would be in when they were ready. I explained to the nurse that I have been patiently waiting for 4 hours and still haven’t been seen. Then the Physician tells me that I can go somewhere else. Like what hospital have doctors that are suppose to be there to help you tells people those things. So I got dressed and left. Worse experience ever and this was my first and last time going here. I just can’t believe that’s how the treat their patients. Very disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here! This place deserves 0 stars!!!!!

David Richmond

So far this my surgery in May 2018, they have been more than family. They have given me memories along the journey.

Nebula

Excellent maternity services.Great doctors and nurses.

Verity

My primary care doctor sent a referral to an Eskenazi clinic for a routine screening. They never called to set up the appointment. We tried again...no call. We tried a third time...nothing. I finally called them myself to see what the problem was. They could not even find my name in their computer system or any record of the referrals that were, in fact, sent to them from the health center. I called my health plan to be taken out of the Eskenazi system.

The best hospital in indianapolis

Curtis Haley

My sister is staying there. She was accused of being a drug addict, neglected, ignored. This is the worst hospital in Indiana. It doesn't even deserve one star. If you value your family health. Go somewhere else.

Linda Cook

We have been in the emergency room for over 2-1/2 hours. Desk clerk keeps taking others back before my nephew who is in pain. If his appendix burst or something else happens we are suing this crummy place. Don't even bring your pets here.

Reph Stevenson

I am very upset that my dad lost his job because of he accidentally missed one call. This is very upsetting

Tyana Harland

I don't have too many good stories about my doctor visits but this time I do. I went to greet my Dermatologist for the first time and she was awesome. She sat down in looked me in my eyes and let me put my heart out about the pain that my Lupus gives me. That ment a lot. The receptionist was awesome as well. She made sure I was taken care of before I left so thank you for that.

RoZ Smith

IF I COULD THIS HOSPITAL A ZERO I WOULD!! HOW IS THIS A COUNTY HOSPITAL WHO SUPPOSED TO BE FOR THE PEOPLE OF INDIANA BUT YOU WANT TO CHARGE VISITORS OF PATIENTS $15 DAMN DOLLARS TO PARK 0-1 HOUR!!! PLEASE SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!??? COMMUNITY EAST OR NORTH DONT CHARGE AND THEY "SUPPOSED" TO BE THE EXPENSIVE ONES!! GTFOH

Trena Turner,

They suck with customer service and after care. I’m almost afraid to get surgery done with this facility

Vanessa Hockersmith

My sons tooth went through his lip and bleeding everywhere been sitting here for 2 hours and they refuse to clean it, this hospital is a joke I didn't realize it has gotten this bad. If your having a life emergency don't come here cause they let ya die in the "emergency" parking lot that's super small and away from the entrance

GOODY GIRL AND MCKENZIE BEST FRIENDS

Absolute best hospital!!!!!!! I see just about every clinic for my issues and have always been treated with the upmost respect from all the staff and the emergency department is always on top of their game!!!!!! Love them all.

Amber

I've tried to give this hospital a chance several times and I just can't deal with them anymore. They NEVER run tests. They diagnose my problems based only on my symptoms. I'm tired of going to the hospital but I'm also tired of being in pain. Avoid this hospital if at all possible.

R. Casey Davis

Eskenazi has a fancy new building, but the organization is a disaster. The people who work there are totally incompetent at basic duties like calling in a perscription. I've had weeks of gaps in my medicine every single time I've needed a simple refill because they cannot call it in regularly, correctly, to the right pharmacy, or even at all. Today I called about how my perscription (which they had already given me the runaround on for WEEKS and then turned out to have never called in at all) and *they had removed the button on the automated menu that took me to the gastroenterologist and replaced it as the Spanish button.* I had to be bounced around and redirected on the phone by people who had no idea what was going on for half an hour. So I called the other hospital on my insurance, Community. They are kinda infamous for their old, less impressive facilities. But the staff on the phone was very competent and experienced--they were all old people, for one. They got me an appointment with a new doctor in NO time and I can refill my Humira medicine with a nurse practitioner with a walk in, whenever I want. That's what I need. Medicine. Not a fancy building. MEDICINE.

Chris Reisinger

Went there for an EKG and a chest x-ray, and was in and out with the quickness!

Sharon Chambers

They have me waste my time and energy coming way to the emergency room as my doctor sent me to go back there because of infection bacterial infection in my blessing breast and she told me I need to go to the emergency room so they can check me in put me in the hospital and give me the antibiotic that I need because I'm allergic to all the rest of them I went there and they did nothing but stuck me 4 times and couldn't find no blood then the 4th time stuck me through my scar tissue and this left IV in my arm and just tell me and they did nothing I was very disappointed

Lulu M. Nabe

ER supposed to quick and I don't understand how a patient has to wait hours before being seen. Disorganized and disappointed.

Nivek Holloway

If you have mental health issues, stay the heck away from here. Eskenazi has been very unpleasant, uncooperative and judgemental. They don't give any thing close to adequate care

A Torres

Great nurses and doctors! Only bad thing that I can say is that, the interpreters need to work on translating and passing the message into the Spanish language. It is very unfortunate to have people translating the wrong staff. L

neversbird

Went to them to seek help with trauma but got the run around first to only be turned away because they don't accept non gov insurance. They turned me away after an emergency. NO HELP NO COMPASSION

Solomon Bear

This is the most disrespectful hospital debatably in the whole United States. They forced me into an ambulance after a refusal, the ambulance lady yelled at me and told me I had to go, and then they charged me thousands of dollars for a trip that did not even need to happen or should have happened. If I break my leg in front of the hospital, I believe I would rather walk to a different hospital then even talk to a nurse inside this hospital.

Ssheldon618 .

Good hospital for sure. Very modern and comfortable. They have everything for family that are waiting on loved ones and the rooms for inpatient are large and have televisions and private bathrooms. This hospital is far better than the old Wishard for sure.

Yuli1185 .

Amazing Experience!!!! I have my son 2 years ago. Staff including doctors and nurses where very kind and sweet!!! They where so helpful and pront to answer all my questions and concerns!!! I have a great experience having my first baby here!! The rooms where spacious and super clean... They even have a service; where a staff offers you to take pictures of you and you baby, while you are in recovery. The pictures are great and the price is affordable. The moments captured in the pictures are priceless!!! Love my experience here!!

Used this hospital when my wife delivered the baby. Oh boy. What a mistake. We arrived while she was having contractions, 1 min long 2 min apart , and they had us wait three hours .after that, we were in triage, they asked us if we had a car seat 12 times, literally , then after I was tired of answering, they THREATENED to call CPS. then the next room , delivery room , they asked again and not just once , a few times. After delivery, at least 5 different nurses per shift came in to bother us asking same questions over and over. Never worte anything down. They kept saying they had to do that after test but never did any of the final test till we are very adamant and rude about leaving. Also we specifically told them no pacifer. Each time they would take my son and return with a pacifier. The only nurses that new anything we're the lactation nurses Cory and I forget the other. Both women performed amazingly. Very great full there were at least two component nurses on staff amongst the 5+ that were in EACH shift. They must not write ur information down. Good thing my wife has no allergies , I'm sure they would of messed that up too. Also. There is no fridge in the room, and the cafeteria requires another repeat of ur story to another new face. So I would leave to get food for my starving wife and would have to wait 20 minutes for the lazy desk clerk to buzz me in. And if ur thinking of room service...good luck.

We recently spent 4 days off and on at this hospital due to a family emergency. The staff was so good and patient with our rather large and loud family. They gave us privacy areas to accommodate us in ER then another area when our family member was in ICU, then again when transferred to surgery. They allowed us to see the person, pray for them, and were so patient and kind. Thankfully, we are in the green and our family member is recovering. While there we were in many areas of the hospital and they let us know of areas we could rest our heads (in public walking views of others I don't want other families reading this to think we were provided rooms or any specialties like that to not raise the expectation of what you'll get coming there) to not gather too much in one particular area so room is available for other families as well. The cafeteria is really clean and has a good selection. The salad bar has such good choices but please be forewarned - their food is bland for health purposes. There are areas for condiments you put on they do not season their food and keep low on salt for health purposes. There should be a sign posted on or around somewhere in clear view stating this. We spent a lot of money one one big trip there with family and after we got our food and tasted it, it was disappointing but we were able to make it tolerable. Please note their food is good, just bland. They are a hospital and need to keep things healthy for good reason. Their intent is well received and appreciated. I am just so thankful and grateful for this hospital and staff for helping my family members when we needed them most. Blessings to all there.

Lisa Owens

I went to the burn unit about a week ago and the staff at the burn unit is second to none. They are the kindest and most gentle doctors and nurses I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. And the receptionist was an absolute sweetheart. They helped me so much with my burn and made me feels so comfortable. If I could give more than 5 stars I would <3

CeCe Begley

Was there August 11 2018 due to being in a wreck on I65... They refused my husband service and harassed us. They ran xrays and didn't see what the chiropractor found didn't pee test me when there was a pregnancy possibility and gave me ibuprofen which I'm allergic to.. I will never go back to this hospital even if I'm dying..kinda sad.

Sarah Scott

I get my mammograms at the W. 38th street health clinic, they really need to get the 3D mammogram system in all their health clinics too, NOT just the hospital. For some women it would be easier to get to these health clinics better then going to the hospital for the 3D mammograms.

Nathan Freed

I came in for help and got asked a few questions and then they told me they were discharging me. They did absolutely nothing to help me in any way. The nurse showed more concern for me than the personnel that I came to see. This is a joke of a place to go get help if you need real help go to st Vincent st Francis or community north at least they care about their patients. Now I’m going to have a bill to pay for service that wasn’t preformed in any way. I feel just as bad as I did going on. THANKS FOR DOING NOTHING FOR ME!!!

Jean Eddy MAXIME

Where health is priority.....

Dominique Salerno

Went in on New Year's Eve, the staff, nurses and doctors were all very friendly, quick to make me confortable and very informative. Even though I was sick they made it a nice and stress free experience.

I had been dealing with suicidal thoughts (not at the time I had gone in) and thought I could benefit from some professional help. Someone came and called my name. First person I talk to is impersonal, clicking away at the computer after asking very basic, banal questions. Vacant expression, thousand yard stare. After 45 minutes of what feels like an interrogation, I am told that a doctor is coming to see me. I am greeted by someone who resembles a human. She asks me to repeat everything that I had just gone through with the other person. She lets me know that she is fresh out of college and is a junior doctor. Fair enough, I am pretty young myself. I rehash the feelings and story that I had had to repeat several times. She asks if I would consider going inpatient. I say no. She asks what I expect to happen if I did. I tell her, "I expect to be taken to an institutional looking room, stripped of everything I own, forced to strip in front of strangers, dehumanized, fed medication before diagnosis, and losing any sort of human rights, without an iota of anything resembling privacy." I assure her, I am NOT suicidal at this time, just trying to prevent flare ups in the future. She says that she is completely understanding, and that she will go and talk to the doctor. I wait for 25 minutes. "I know you don't want to hear this, but you have to stay here." WHAT? "Well, you can sign this form saying that you are going in "voluntarily" or we can put a 72 hour hold on you to make sure you stay longer. "So, what you are telling me is that I came for help because I don't feel at home in my own body, and you are planning on kidnapping me, to assure you make a pretty penny off of this?" Her response: "I'm sorry." Big smile. They waste no time. Immediately taken to a room, forced to strip in front of a female nurse (I am male) down to my underwear. Given a paper thin gown to wear. When I went back, I immediately signed a form saying that I wanted to go home. The kindest person I met there (Sherril?) said that it should not be a problem at all. When I woke, I inform the new staff that I have signed a form requesting release. None of them have any idea and have to spend the next 45 minutes tracking it down. I go up and ask if anybody is going to talk to me one on one or if there will be a group therapy of some sort. One of the staff, Michael, immediately responds defensively, insuring me that this is NOT a place for therapy, but an emergency situation room. I let him know that if this is in fact what he says it is, that you could infer that there would be some care provided to these "emergency status" patients, instead of giving them strong anti-depressants (mine was Zoloft) without any sort of diagnosis, and treating them like zoo animals. He went on to flatter himself by talking about "I may not look it, I know I look 30, but I am 50 years old, and have been doing this for 25 years. He immediately goes into the closed room where the doctors are and becomes very animated. After another hour, a stone-faced woman came out, no introduction or explanation, and sits down across from me. I feel more panicked than I have felt in a very long time. She says, "I understand you want to go home. What makes you think you are well enough to leave?" Visions of Nurse Ratchet abounding. I explain that I believe there has been a significant misunderstanding, I am not suicidal. She stands up and walks back to the glass control center. The doctor that I have been waiting to see finally comes into my room. We talked for a total of 3 minutes. Then he asked me if I would be coming back to continue treatment. I gave a very polite "No" even though I wanted to scream "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" In 10 minutes, I was given my property back and ushered out. If I have a heart attack, let me die before you drag me back to these sadists. Cue the lackluster, "Call our Patient Experience Line!" response. You are supposed to help people, not cause further harm. You should all be ashamed.

danielle jennings

The best care I've ever had . Carol a redhead with glasses was very supportive & made me feel at ease after a miscarriage & a Chinese woman with glasses in her 30's where also helpful. I had judememt upon this hospital because it was wishard but the staff is wonderful

Eskenazi saved my life. I was struck by a semi in a accident September 2017 . I spent 32 days in this hospital. With very serious external and internal injurys. I was under the care of the Eskenazi Trauma Team. Feeling like i wasnt going to make it, this team pulled me all the way through. I had so many things going on and this team handled it one by one. Ive been home with my 7 year old a few weeks now. There isnt words i could say to thank this hospital and this Team for doing everything they could. They gave a 7 year old back her mother and a mother a second shot at life. I still have on going issues. To be expected but this team has earned my trust and respect to further address it. With tears in my eyes I Thank you so much Ashley Williams

Devon Tran

Worst place ever because Mike Parrish works there.

S M

I have always had a great experience there. I have had 2 major surgery and several test they are a really great team in every department I have had to go. Worked with me when I had to have appointments changed and always got in fairly quickly in almost all the departments I go. I live in greenwood that I travel there because I did not want to leave the doctors nor the staff. They saw me through my husband's cancer and passing it really is a great center and I'm so grateful for it thank you ...

mary weber

Amazingly welcoming, peace- filled hospital.

Michael Hansen

Without a doubt the best experience in an emergency room in my life! Professional, friendly, encouraging, efficient and quick. In and out all patched up in a jiffy. Excellent staff. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommended. This is healthcare at its finest!

Dora m

One of the worst hospital experiences ever. After a serious car crash, was only offered tylonel as pain relief (get real) and left in a room for hours. Call light took 30 minutes to answer. Thankful to be alive but no thanks to this place. The radiologist and xray technician were professional but other than that, this place blows and will go home before being taken here again.

The OBGYN clinc here at the main hospital for the most part is phenomenal. My doctor is amazing. The check in process is always super friendly. But I find it very hard to be comfortable with some of the MA's or LPN's that tend to be a rude and uneasy from the moment they call your name, taking your vitals and then asking all the basic check in questions before you see your doctor. The female I had to deal with this passed Monday was the worst. If you are in a bad "space" while on the job, go take a time out. Better yet if you hate your job so much that you have to get a nasty attitude with patients get another degree. The medical field I know first hand ain't for everyone. If this hasn't happened so many times I would definitely give this place 5 starts. As they have saved my boyfriend's life after being shot 5 times.

Sitting in ER for two hours and the ladies upfront are beyond rude. I'll make sure I never return.

I got here at eleven pm, after being told my father was in a bike accident and hit his head on the concrete. The emergency room staff were casual, uncaring, as I waited an hour to hear if my dad was even alright. Making ok signs while their mouth was full of snacks and joking in front of a young sobbing woman as she just tries to hear about her father. Then, they keep promising someone will talk to us and no one ever does. Finally they say we can go see him and tell us the room and what elevator to take. We get to the proper floor and it's empty, dark, and the way to my dads room is locked. So we try calling the nurse station to get help and no one answers, a police officer finds us and tries to work it out, and says we may wait up to another hour just to see him. I don't understand how HEy can call this a hospital

Brought here by an ambulance & lied to about vouchers from the hospital for them to take us here. Then told I had an hour wait despite coming off the ambulance.

Garbage time hospital. I was in a bad car wreck a few months ago. The staff was rude. Place was dirty. Treatment was submitted par at best. Overall a horrific stay.

My Dad was at the ICU for a couple of days and the only nurse out of all the ones that saw him the only one that was nice, attentive, not only with the patient but with us his family her name was Christina. Thank you so much Christina for that one day you helped my dad. Unfortunately you just took care of him one day, would of been perfect and overall great experience if you would of been there everyday. The other ones were completely the opposite!!

WORST HOSPITAL EVER ! I have been trying to switch providers for over two weeks. But they will not release them . I do not recommend them to pregnant women at all .. you see a different face every single time . Staff may seem nice but are truly slow at doing what needs to be done

Clean facility and for the most part all the staff are cordial and understanding. And their prices arent as high as other facilities. One thing I've been dealing with is the billing department who keeps putting me off to the collections agency, when in fact Eskenazi sent the bill to collections that i was never billed for. Simple error. I just need the bill pulled out of collections and set up on a payment plan. Simple!!! This billing issue takes two stars as my ctedit score took a 50 point hit for this. Today is April 5, 2019 and i still havent heard from no one. PATIENT SERVICES will just transfer you to another extension where NO ONE is; AND the process starts over again. JUST SAD AND DISTURBING

The worst customer service ever. The nurses was rude. I ask for my door to be close while they were taking my vitals she slammed the door. The nurse Karen wasnt friendly didn't greet when she approached the room. This may be a new hospital but worst in customer care and support. I would rather take a ride longer that ever coming to this hospitsl.

Phenomenal facilities and staff

Worst experience ever. Would give negative stars if that were an option. Imagine cattle at a slaughterhouse might feel the way I did - terrified and cut open with no regard for excruciating pain (anesthetic was meh to the medical professionals...if professional is a euphemism for insensitive, self absorbed, unconcern for the patient). I was humiliated, when legs spread in stirrups in a room in front of the scale and blood pressure station, the door was flung open repeatedly because being prepared for a scheduled procedure is an unreasonable expectation and patient dignity or privacy is clearly second to the weather. Someone's husband got the full show. Thanks Eskanazi. Bleeding and in excruciating pain. Will be going to a real professional tomorrow to get stitched up from the hack job done to me at this hospital.

My doctor was more thorough with me than any doctor I've seen before!
