How do I even start this. First of all, that waiting list is crazy, I had to wait 3 whole months (if I was qualified) to see a psychiatrist. Second, the assessment was a joke. How? Because when I asked if I can have proof that I am trying to get help to show other doctors ( just in case I end up in the emergency room again) that I am trying to get help and not drugs, they wouldn't give me that; nothing. Finally, it's the scheduled day, but they didn't even give me the psychiatrist I requested and I have already moved to Chicago. I was running late because of an accident. I called 2 times, before someone finally picked up. The receptionist (or whoever) was not elated at all, and sounded rather annoyed that I called him. I told him about my appointment, and quickly he just transferred me to the psychiatrist I was supposed to see. Well...she didn't answer. I called back, and then they said they can only wait 15 mins after my appointment or they have to reschedule me in OCTOBER! Well, for a moment, I thought I wasn't gonna make it, so I canceled. When I checked my gps, I learned that if I took the skyway, I could make it. So, I quickly called back, and said I can make it in 15 mins after my appointment. Well...the psychiatrist cut it down to 5 when she heard, because she knew I couldn't make it before 10 mins. Originally, it was 15 mins after, then when I called back, she cut the 5 mins...the exact 5 mins I needed, I would of made it if she hadn't changed her mind. One of the reps said she didn't even have anymore appointments after me. For anyone thinking this place gives a damn about their patients, they don't. My own appointed psychiatrist, Sefelisha Harmon, couldn't even talk to me herself. Do not get help here, because they don't truly care about people with mental disabilities if you're not convenient enough.
