How do you come in at 26 weeks pregnant and having seizures back to back to be taken off the ambulance stretcher to be placed in a wheel chair and wait for your turn to be aeen? Are you serious? I absolutely love this hospital and it's caring staff. They have taken such great care of me and my family for years, even when this hospital was Wishard. I thank them and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. I have Lupus SLE, Restricive Lung Disease and a paralyzed diaphragm. I delivered a preemie there two years ago, they were wonderful and he is now a healthy and happy little knot head. With that pregnancy I was high risk. They followed me so carefully . I developed Obstetric Cholestsis, Bell's palsy, gestational diabetes, and preeclampsia. They were wonderful and while my little boy was in NICU the nurses went out of their way to help us at every stop. Everyone, from doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, Everyone has been so polite, kind, helpful and professional ...

I am just speaking of my experience with the MIDTOWN clinic and a doctor I think his name is todd goerger. something. actually he is the worst psychiatrist on the planet. I felt attacked and had to leave the room immediately. DO NOT GO TO HIM!!!!!

Everyone in this hospital has been incredibly kind and helpful. Patient care has been superb. The only reason I did not give it the full five stars is because the waiting time is quite excessive.

The new facilities are beautiful! There is still, however, a problem with communication. I was frustrated, asked the hospital operator if there is a dept. that helps patients, and was given the # for Patient Navigation. They act as a go-between to get things done! (I give THAT dept. 5 stars

Staff are really nice but always short in the obgyn clinic. It feels like they don't respect patients time or schedules. I'm always here two hours for a simple visit more if they actually have to do more than take my blood pressure and temp. Have never seen the same doctor twice in five months. They could do better or stop overscheduling the doctors if they can't handle the caseload, just to get patient's money.

They don't inform you of things unless you ask and hound..been there a lot lately for my illness and just getting lab results is like pulling teeth.it always seems everyone (doctor's & nurses )have better things to do. The food sucks, and if your bed ridden for get it..just pee yourself cuz it'll feel like forever till you get assistance. .

I think that they have improved quite a bit, but there's still room 4 improvement, but all & all I been goin. to Wishard( Eskenazi) all my life, wouldn't change for nothin.....also, I'm havin surgery tomorrow anyway, so....... I'm in their hands anyway....lol

Anyone who gave this health network any rating above 2 star is either a liar or is being paid to give positive feedback. The truth is this network is so bad overall that it should be a crime(probably is). I have only met 1 good doctor in this entire network. Dr. Beckman. I have had many medical treatments & all were either misguided, misdiagnosed or treatment was not fitting for the diagnosis. This hospital primarily caters to those without insurance so yes. I was stuck accepting it. I've known many people who have come here with mild issues & have instead died. I've known a couple to come here with critical issues & death was preventable by other health networks standards but nope. Death. My personal motto for the Eskanazi network is they're only good at 3 things: Killing, Billing & making you wait. The staff is the compilation of the worst med grad students across the country I'm convinced. I doubt anyone looks at this before choosing a hospital incase of an emergency. I'm writing this because if your reading this and have recently had a traumatic experience or someone close to you has & this network has made things worse or not better. know your not alone. If rate -5 if I could & I'm sure anyone else rating would.

RE: HEROIN CRISIS: Paramedics and EMS on Feb. 5th. gave my son another chance from a heroin overdose !! He followed on life support for 6 days after aspirating. He never would have made it if they had not been able to resuscitate him first. My gratitude will never forget that night! Truly in the nick of time (and hopefully looking at a strong sustained recovery program)!

I am writing this review because I feel it is my civic duty to do so, as a warning to anyone who may consider using Eskanazi's Walk in Mental Health Clinic. DO NOT see these people. My wife and I waited for over two hours in their waiting room, with only one other couple in there, and no one coming out. My wife was in the back speaking with a social worker (not a doctor, not licensed psychiatrist, not a therapist) for a grand total of just over ten minutes. He said he could not help her since she was not suicidal, and could not do a program that would take months - he said it would be free of charge, we left. Ten. Minutes. We are now facing a bill for $400 that they are refusing to reconsider. Again, she was in there for TEN MINUTES. They billed her for SIXTY MINUTES. We have disputed, they havnt even tried to consider they may have been wrong. Needless to say, this entire experience has made my wife's condition worse. I can not stress enough: DO NOT try to go to their Mental Health Walk-in Clinic. They are extorting money out of my wife, after not helping her, and seeing her less than even the normal 15 minute session. We are alerting the Attorney General as to this situation and any other authorities appropriate to the situation.

I was surprised to see low acuity run by nursing specialists vs physicians. Was in incredible pain and CNS was unwilling to change or increase pain meds. I stated that I was not staying overnight in a hospital just to get pain meds. Her response, "Well we're on the same page then aren't we". Don't expect to get pain relief from ER as staff is uncaring and judgmental. ER manager blew off my complaint.

As long as I could remember I've never felt sick like this, I eat at the cafe soliel and my stomach really hurt since then, I mean in the first 5 mnts after I finished eating, and going to my car. And the person who was actually with me felt terrible SO NOT JUST ME ( we were not of any medications we just went to get some informations ) . Now I'm sick and I don't want to give a bad review but hey I'm sick unfortunately and I just dont appreciate it at all ( I kept drinking water for two days now, I sleep around 3 hrs the most ) . This is my experience and that was my first time to be at that hospital, and I don't feel as there's enough word to say but Damn . God willing

They gave a home girl of mine I call Buddy and second chance at life with her two boys and a chance in her grandkids lives.They are from Lafayette,Indiana!My Buddy had contracted a bug from a Baclaven Pump and a fever of 109.My dear Buddy seized twice and was out of it for about 6days then she came right along thanks to Ezskensi Hospital.This Hospital used to be Wishard Hospital and they said my Mother would die in 1985 and she lived until 2008 and she gave Wishard many many years of her life and dedication (Diana Davis).She was a Housekeeping Supervisor with heath problems,but gave her all.Thank God for this facility because they gave me many more years with my Mother,my best friend,Thank you guys for every moment with my Mother.

Its sad when you come to a place of healthcare, and they don't have good people skills or a kind heart. Just because someone looks different on the out doesn't mean you judge them all the same. The people in the pharmacy are not nice at all. Didn't say "hi how can help" nothing. Its just not a welcoming vibe.

The hospital is so large and so confusing. I went to two different information desks and no one was at either one. The patient navigation phone line was closed. I called the 24 hour line twice to ask where to go in the hospital, the first time the woman on the line was so rude that my boyfriend hung up on her. Then I called back and the woman was very rude to me, but I kept asking questions until she gave me an answer. After I got to the right place it only took 15 minutes to do what I needed to do. But otherwise if I didn't have to because insurance reasons I would NEVER go to this hospital again.

I feel they have railroaded my fiance into staying a night by misinformation, poor policy actions and lack of disregard to her issue at hand. They have discouraged her from wanting to be helped by any medical facility. She needs help and they are jamming procedure and protocol down her throat. They seem to be putting her needs as a patient last. No wonder no one seeks help when it is needed, if there only option is Wishard. Like the tax system and justice system serves the rich and persecutes the poor.

this is the worst clinic, the walmart pharmacy where I have to get my meds found the phone number was disconnected so I could not get my scrip renewed and it expired. they switched doctors and no one will give me a renewal without an apptment and there is no need for an appt if they had sent a letter with phone changes. Also, you can not get anyone to help you at the main office. The scrip is for depression and it is not a minor thing. but no one at Eskenazi seems to think that this is an important situation or needs immediate help. I have only a few pills left. Thanks a lot for nothing

My brother was in an accident where he was run over by a car when he was on his scooter. Ambulance took him to this hospital. Grant you he was not the best of patients. He had a broken leg, several about 7 broken ribs, and has multiple back ribs that were fractured. His pelvis is also fractured. He has been in bed since the 4th of July with a cast on from his toes to his groin. He is not in a walking cast. His leg needed to be binned but he decided against it. The hospital has been harassing him since the first week about finding a place to go where he can be cared for. All his family lives in St. Louis. We have been trying to get things together at our end, and quite frankly thought it was a little early to be letting him out when he couldn't even get up to go to the bathroom, and as of today 7-23-14 he still can't. The hospital kicked him out. Dressed him, put him on a gurney and put him in an ambulance and dropped him off at his house. He was given a prescription for his pain, but has no way of going to the pharmacy to get it filled. He is completely by himself where he can't move, can't fix anything for himself to eat. This is a horrible hospital. They say they are going by federal regulations. Hmm. So this is what OBAMA CARE IS.

This has been an ongoing, frustrating experience like nothing I've ever experienced at another hospital. Beautiful facilities, but horrible communication and care on a nursing level. Yesterday a severe infection was ignored (despite being brought to nurses attention for the past week and a horrible stench that cleared the room) to the point where my brother-in-law was taken into surgery, had a skin graph removed from his thigh and then they had to put it back on his thigh because pressing on the leg wound produced immediate infection discharge. He has been in and out of the hospital for the past four weeks and the care level has been poor, at best. The communication has been downright awful. The doctors have been nice, but their staff is snippy, rude, not compassionate and not thoughtful. We have had problems with most hospital nurses and the home-nurse with everything from prescription instructions to getting food ordered for him between surgeries in the hospital. I hope they can get him changed to another hospital soon.
