This store chooses to carry more cheap-quality and even toxic brands of dog food, than superior/healthy choices. Just look who takes up most their shelf space. E.g. Their limited supply of Bil Jac results in them running out of stock over FIFTY (+50%) of the time I go to purchase (3X /mo) CLEARLY it's selling fine!! When I brought it up to the manager, he told me to order online. HA! I'm finding a new store and spending the extra $5 or whatever not to shop with sellouts like Petsmart.

I was shopping for a hamster and they looked like they had a huge selection but I never had the chance to look at them. I looked around and saw no employees, I walked around the entire store and saw no employees, so I had to wait in the checkout line just to talk to an employee! I asked them if they could call someone over to the hamster section and the guy said yes. I stood around like an idiot for awhile. I walked around some more to try to find an employee to help me. None to be found. I walked up to the cashiers and the two of them wouldn't stop chatting and laughing amongst themselves to see if I needed help, which I obviously did. Super rude. And I'm really mad because they have female hamsters there and lots of them, and I couldn't even buy one! Horrible corporation.

The people here are so helpful! I had a very specific plan and budget in mind when I went in. One of the associates, Andrew, greeted me at the door and I asked for a recommendation. He took me directly to the product and it was exactly what I needed. He also gave me some recommendations for other products that would be helpful, but did not pressure me into purchasing those items along with what I wanted. I spent exactly what I had wanted to spend and not a penny more, and I was in and out in under 10 minutes; all the while not feeling rushed. I even was directed to a cash register which was closed, where Andrew rang me up. It was VIP treatment!

I'm a bit of a bulk buyer so I take my time stocking up, and the employees always check in to make sure I'm finding everything I need and have all the information to make an informed choice! Their cat selection of litter boxes and formula is a bit limited, but that is so specific a demographic that this is to be expected.

This store is gross and nobody wants to help you. This used to be the closest store to my home, and in the year and a half since I've been away, I now see it hasn't changed at all. Literally the grossest looking fish tanks I've ever seen, algae in every tank, and even Cyanobacteria! Looks like they haven't cleaned their tanks in years. Selection is always lacking, and the aquatics people do not help you when they're called on the intercom. I used to have to wait 20 minutes for someone to get a fish out for me. Today I waited about 5 minutes and realized nobody wanted to help me as people were just kind of standing around, calling for help. I'm never coming back to this store or any petsmart if this is what they feel is a good business model. Terrible excuse for a pet store.

Adopted a puppy and she was very dirty when we picked her up. Called PetSmart and they fit us in last minute for a grooming. Jasmine and Hannah were amazing with our new pup, really caring for her and calming her down as she was very anxious. They even stayed late to show us how to brush her correctly to avoid matting. Amazing service!

My dog and I both love going to this PetSmart. Not all PetSmart stores are created equal but this one has easy parking, consistently friendly staff (greeted with a welcome every time I walk in) and my dog's food is always always in stock. When the lines get a little long they are quick to open additional registers. I've never used the grooming but for a quick and friendly pet supply stop... this store is a winner.

I go here when I need things for a pet, they once had a Santa there. But I could tell it wasn't a real Santa, this guy just painted his beard white. He wasn't even that jolly, looked like he was pretty hungover and had to be Santa because he was late to work. Anywho, it's worth going if you need something for your pet or you want to pick up a new lizard for your neighbor.

The store's dog trainer, Jackie, is absolutely fantastic. We are novice dog owners and could not have asked for a better trainer. She is supportive, encouraging and incredibly dedicated to bringing the best out of the dogs. You can tell she really loves them and is passionate about her job. A gem!! We have always had a positive experience with the rest of the store's staff as well.

I shop here regularly. After buying about $50 worth of random things this morning for my two cats, the cashier felt the need to remark on the amount of money I’m spending at their location. She said “wow you’re spending a ton of money” under her breath while ringing up my items. It just bothered me a bit, no amount of money is worth my pets or my happiness? And $50 doesn’t seem like a very large bill. She had an air of nasty attitude about her through the entire transaction. Not a great way to keep people spending money at your location. I’ll be supporting smaller businesses like Chuck & Don’s from here out if I’ll be catching attitude like that at PetSmart. Customer service is bologna, cashier number 597918. Bologna.

This PetSmart has been so incredible in the middle of this horrible experience I’m going through. Unfortunately, I adopted a kitten who turned out to have heart issues through Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue who was at an adoption event there on Saturday. Sunday, my kitten passed away. The shelter he came from did nothing to rectify the situation at all, however, THIS PetSmart is doing its best to rectify the loss. I don’t recommend Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue because they refused to take accountability for this kittens health but this PetSmart has been extremely sympathetic and is even trying to pull together some money to cover the animal ER expenses even though they weren’t responsible The kindness and love of this staff has been extremely helpful in my mourning process of this kitten. They’ve been nothing short of amazing.

Accused us of not getting our dog shots for no reason. When we went to get dog food for our puppy, one of the clerks (a 20-something, tall-brunette) decided to accuse us of not having given our dog shots. We affirmed that we had, but she insisted that we shouldn't go out without getting the dog shots. This is not acceptable customer service. We do all we can to take care of our dog; it's not really a preferred experience to be accused by somebody of wrongdoing when you are shopping for your pet. I recommend you avoid this location.

What a horrible way to spend a Saturday morning! My husband and I woke up bright and early to take our pup in for our 9am appointment. We were quickly and rudely told that we were supposed to be there at 8am and they had no room for our dog and had given the appointment away. That's funny, because I called the day before to confirm the time and it was indeed 9am. The groomer (a young lady with a neck tattoo and dark hair) was so rude that I was in disbelief that this was actually happening. I asked her if she could get our puppy in (as I am 9 months pregnant and time is of the essence). She replied "it wasn't her problem we couldn't get the appointment time right." I asked her if she could help me call other places to see if they had openings and she took down a call list and walked in the back, leaving me standing there. We take our dogs to this location on a regular basis and usually have a satisfactory experience. However, after experiencing the complete lack of accommodation or understanding that there was a mix up somewhere, we won't be taking any of our furry friends back there.

What happened to this store? There used to be three ladies working in the fish department who were great, they were knowledgeable about everything, like they really understood what they were talking about and helped me solve all kinds of problems.......I haven't seen them in a long time, instead there's a bunch of new people in the fish area who are totally CLUELESS. It's so frustrating, what's the point of going there to talk to a bunch of people who don't know what they're talking about? I'd be better off staying home and not getting the weird, unfriendly attitude from the people there. The fish tanks are also disgusting now. Ugh. Noooo thanks.....

The dock is kinda tight and you have to block the Street to get backed in but they usually start unloading around 4am which makes it easier to get the 3 Deliveries done fairly early and reloaded around 9am and head out of town.

Very slim selection of fish. No rodents besides one hamster and a couple guinea pigs. We were looking to possibly get a ferret or chinchilla, and the cages were empty. No reptiles except for a bearded dragon and a gecko. Not a great place to look for a new small pet.

Great for many different kind of pets. Petco doesn't my dogs dog food anymore, and when it comes to reptiles its dismal. This Petsmart seems to be taking good care of their reptiles/amphibians and can offer relatively good advice on it.(but I would definitely research it anyway). The dog and cat parts of the store definitely dominates, and provides good quality products from your pets. There is also a large selection of fish, with lots variety. Good Petsmart store, would recommend.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. We went in to look at two kittens that were up for adoption after calling multiple locations for the past few weeks. The girl that showed us the cats, so believe her name is Jazz, first walked in asked if we were really interested in adoptions because if not, she didn’t want to waste her time showing the kittens. She showed us the kittens and we asked if we were able to take them home today. She stated it is a 24 hour process and we had to fill out an application. After that she mentioned to us they had been spayed and we asked if they had been declawed. We DID NOT know that in Colorado it is illegal as we just moved from Florida. Then we were given an application and the girl left and little did we know, she then went behind our back and called Carie at the shelter to tell her we had asked about declawing. Then a man came and said Jazz told him we had questions about declawing. We told him we did not ask about how to do it, we asked simply if they had been. He then told us, our application was denied with Carie even before we filled it out because we asked that question. How do we get denied for asking a question?! I’ve grown up with cats for over 10 years and had five to six at a time and they’ve all lived indoors and never have been declawed but because we are from Florida it is the same question we would ask anywhere as to if they had been spayed or neutered. NO ONE said we were planning to do that. Before you give the wrong information, make sure you understand the reasons behind our questions. Maybe your employees need more teaching before calling behind your customers backs to do something so disrespectful and rude. After speaking with Carrie again to explain the reasoning behind my questions, she said i could submit my application and she would speak with me after that. Now, why would I even want to deal with a company and shelter that is beyond biased because we aren’t a native to Colorado and simply cannot even ask a question? Beyond Rude. Beyond Disrespectful. Beyond Terrible Customer Service.

Idk if Hippa applies to animals but I know pet owners dont want their dogs posted on snapchat or any social media with captions like who needs a dog this big? by employees who owners have trusted their best friends to take care of with the thought that they are in loving care. This picture raises a flag that this employee may be resentful of having to groom this beautiful baby and then questioning the owner on a public platform without their knowledge. Employee Julia Irene posted a picture on snapchat in the public platform where everyone can see questioning why anyone would need a dog this big.

Literally just experienced the rudest staff ever!! I was rushing to petsmart after a long day at work. It was 8:57pm, they close at 9:00pm, and I was less than 2 minutes away. I called the store and a girl named Monica answered the phone. I told her that I was 2 minutes away and I needed a bag of dog food for my pup. I asked her if it's 9:00pm when I got there, would they allow me to purchase quickly, as I knew exactly what I needed and where it is located in the store. She said verbatim, "we close at 9pm on the dot, I'll be pulling the register and the door will be locked at that time, not a minute later." I couldn't believe how rude she was. I got there and ran to the front door, and it was 9:00pm on the dot when I got to the door. I literally noticed a girl (I'm guessing it was Monica) walk to the door and lock it as I was running up, yet there were still 3 customers being checked out. Some guy walked to the door to let a couple of customers out and I asked if I could grab food for my dog quickly. He said, "no, we pulled the registers", didn't say another word to me and quickly shut the doors and locked them again. The customers that he let out looked at me in total disbelief as well. I WILL NEVER come back to this location, and I'm seriously considering cancelling my Banfield membership and never stepping foot in another Petsmart. I understand that you do close at 9pm, however, they clearly still had customers inside checking them out and decided to be complete jerks over technicality. I'm a reasonable person and would not have been upset had it not been for Monica's demeanor and the fact that they were checking out customers and refused to go that extra step to help me out. Thank you Monica and the socially awkward dude for being "sooo awesome" at locking the door on time. Now if only you were as awesome at serving your customers.

I bought two female beta fish here last weekend and a tank with a divider in it that was placed directly under the beta fish and advertised specifically for having two beta fish in the same tank. Both fish died within a few days. I went back to the store to inquire why both fish had died so quickly, in spite of taking good care of them and being careful with initial water treatment. First of all, it was very difficult to find anyone to help me and spend time sufficiently answering my questions. I finally found an employee to talk to and she seemed irritated that I had pulled her away from stocking inventory to provide customer "service". When I asked her why the fish had likely died, she replied that it was probably due to having two beta fish in the same tank in spite of the divider. She said this condescendingly, like I was an idiot. I asked her why in the world they would sell a small tank specifically for two beta fish with a divider if it had the potential to kill the fish, and she got defensive and said "she had nothing to do with what was sold in the store." This takes terrible customer service to a whole new level, one that actually kills live creatures. Very sad and pathetic. Will definitely not return to this store. Management is failing and needs to get the store's act together pronto. PetSmart should be embarrassed of this store.

Went to rent a steam cleaner, and was helped by Scott, who was friendly and helpful the whole time. He even discounted the carpet cleaning liquid for me when I casually mentioned it was only a small area of carpet I had to clean. He did it simply because he didn’t want me to overpay for a necessary chore! It was my first time going to a Petsmart in Denver, and now I know which location I’ll visit for all of my pet-related needs! They always greet you and ask if they can help, then if you say no and then have to go back and ask, they are so gracious. They will help you with everything and save you money too! Best grooming experience I've had in years! Since moving to Denver 4 years ago I have struggled to find a groomer that I feel comfortable with, doesn't seem rushed and provides what I've asked for. Heather took extra time to explain some things to me and I left feeling as if I had left my baby with family who has known her for years! They have gone above and beyond to help us find proper care for a small pet (purchased from a different petsmart location about a year ago)that recently injured. Definitely recommend this location for the care and compassion for pets and customers alone... also great parking and location. :) we also just purchased our bearded dragon from this location a few weeks ago and she is wonderful. My usual PetSmart is in Glendale they unfortunately did not have any bathing appointments available so I took them to this PetSmart location and lo and behold the service was just as excellent as my home store in Glendale would be happy to bring them back to this location seeing that it is closer to my home.
