I went to get some dinner or lunch food ideas this trip. I saw chicken strips and turkey meatballs and bought them. I also bought some jalapeño cheese bagels. This store had a decent bakery, but the bagels were not as soft as another store's bagels. Try different stores to see which make soft bagels ! The price for all three items came to about $20.

STARBUCKS INSIDE VONS 6AM to 9PM Daily Super busy location Palm Avenue exit off the 805 freeway, first store by the exit. Chevron gas close to Vons. Groceries, Gas, & Starbucks in one small area, then back on the Freeway!

Love the pharmacy, love the employees, but the last time I bought groceries they only had one check out for 15 items or less. I had to go to the self checkout and pay full price to do someone else's job. Also, I try to avoid these self checkouts...why? Because I like people, not the machines. I think the self check outs should only be open when the place is swamped. I'll give it another chance...but is this what we have to look forward to?

Overall nice store, friendly staff, and delicious sandwiches from the Deli. If you want a quick bite there are pre made snacks, and if you want overall nicely kept store, this is the place to go. Parking is plenty, the only back draw is that the traffic in an out can be a bit tricky sometimes with heavy traffic.

I've been to several Von's lately. The smaller ones have poor selection and tend to cater to the vegans and the organics people which makes for pricier experience. BUT !!the vons in the southbay on dennerey rd. Had a wonderful experience, great options to various flavor groups. Without being limited to bland organic or veggies. Besides i had to fill the cabinets of a 3 bedroom apt. Vs.a very small studio with microwave only.

Not a bad supermarket, but I have a few issues with how it runs. First of all, the people at the deli department do not follow proper procedures when slicing meats. The employees do not place a sheet of paper on the slicer to catch the meat being cut. They can be quite sloppy with their service. Staff is not very helpful in locating certain types of products since this supermarket caters to lower income customers. I have lots more to complain about, but these are some of the issues that irk me the most...

If you are trying to make a quick trip to the grocery store DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT come to this Vons. I feel like a machocist every time I've come here. Either that or I'm being Punk'd. It's a joke. No self check out, produce is ragged. Not much in terms of selection. The lightening is so dim it makes me feel 100 yrs old trying to read labels. They need a hero. Seems like the staff has really low morale. I hope someone can come in and turn things around here. It could be so much more.

The store itself was ok. However, the homeless people clean up in their bathrooms. I waited 10-15 mins and there were 2 bathrooms being used by homeless. I was finally able to go into one. The smell of cigarette and body odor was pretty nasty and disgusting. I told an employee of vons but they just said "ok".. if it wasn't cuz I really had to go, I I wudnt've used it... didn't appear as she cared. Definitely will not be back!

Overpriced and understocked, this Vons always leaves you feeling ripped off and you never can get everything you came to get because they will just decide to discontinue something that is difficult to find such as Masada plain pita bread and krusteaz cinnamon coffee cake mix. If they have it, it’s cheaper at target. Sometimes the sparsely stocked isles leave the impression that a major, apocalyptic event has shut down the supply chain due to the US empire entering a full blown economic collapse,leaving it unable to guarantee that food gets to the grocery stores. The Vons makes you feel doomed. They also have very few checkout lines open when they are busy and no self-checkout at all. I like the shopping carts. Hate the prices.

Stuff is always out of place. Takes forever to find what youre looking for. Workers are eh. The white workers accuse people of stealing when they arent. My husband is a dark mexican and had a back pack with him, i took his bag because i needed it to go to the restroom. It had tampons in it. Clearly i needed the bag. Anyways, they start saying security to the back door where my husband is standing. Mind you i work as security outside of their store for this property. And they knew he was with ME. My husband is just standing by the flowers doing nothing. When we walk outside they watch me and him walk out. Mind you we did not go through the store at all, just straight to the restroom. Then 2 white workers came outside just to watch us leave. Like really? We stole nothing. I had tampons in his back pack which he brought me from home. Later, we go in vons to grab some water. The old man who works here that is fat and older and always looks angry, he told my coworker who is another guard who knows my husband is on site with me that my husband was stealing. When he was not!!! He went in to look at the water an came out an told me what they had. Then we went and bought 2 waters. Shopping at this store is chaos and the workers really need to pay attention to the real thiefs instead of accuse me and my husband for nothing.

Great selection. Here You can find many things that other grocery stores don't have. Fresh food ( fruit, meat, etc) are really good. Free and plenty of parking. Some items have higher prices than other stores , but not so much.

No matter what time I go, this place is always crowded and overpriced. You can deal with the same amount of crowds, but pay less at Walmart. However, the three stars is for the deli alone. It is delicious and has a large selection of hot foods, fresh baked goods, and breads for any need.
