This Safeway on on Trancus st. I like it. They got a great selection of meats seasoned and non. I always find what I need .unlike Nob Hill Foods who cant even keep there meats stocked but that's another review. If you want to shop and get what you came to get. Then come to Safeway and save some time and a headache

In the late/early hours (12am and a little after) it gets hard to maneuver through the isles from all the boxes and carts the employees carry for restocking, but that's there job. It's easy to go to the next isle to pass. Love the options and glad to be a club member.

Sell checkout just gave me the wrong change. Change was supposed to be $11.42. Machine gave me $7.42. One if those singles should have been a $5.00 bill. This is not good.

Customer service is real low and getting lower every day. In the past two weeks 10 employees quit as of 1/3/2018. If you don't mind long wait times for just about everything from the deli, bakery, to checkout then shop here. Also be prepared for rude employees that don't care about their jobs due to extremely poor store and upper management. This review is from first person perspective, and ex Safeway employee.

What you would expect a grocery store to be. Clean, good selection, fresh items, fairly priced. I was not surprised I have always liked Safeway. Never been to one until I came to the west coast. I actually ended up working at one in Oregon managing the Video Dept in the mid-nineties. Hospitable place.

way too easy to get lost trying to find 1 thing. Most supermarkets stock their sandwich meat near their cheese, or the beer next to the liquor. The beer at Safeway is 2 aisles away from the liquor, and the cheese is in an entirely seperate part of the store. Very frustrating if youre new to the store and just need a few things

Why would I bother to shop here? Just went in to get a club card so I could take advantage of the club prices and was told they have been out since before Thanksgiving so it's a no go on the reduced prices. I asked if they had a temporary card. No, but I could ask someone in line for their phone number and piggyback on their card. Really? Forget Safeway. Plenty of other grocery stores to choose from.

Ive been going to the deli here for quite sometime now. I buy small snack items also. The deli employees are in the back there not always attentive when your ready to order. Im giving them 1 star for the majority of employees that not complying with sanitary guidelines. They touch items with gloves that are not clean, employees save the same pair of gloves in there pocket, they rub there body parts like nose & itch there eyes. I witness one employee itching her hair net when preparing my food. As I started to look for different options of food, she stated she is sorry, it was just a bug. I changed my mind about the food and I bought a premade sandwich. I am hesitant if I want her to prepare my food again. When it comes to checkout time, they have have 4 self-checkout stations. 1 out of 4 is always out of service. The lines often bring confusion to people. Some people work it out, some people cant depending on how bitter moods. I stand about 5'5". It's difficult to see who's next in line when Safeway is selling beer by the 30-pack 7 feet high. Maybe last minute option of buying a 30-pack at self-checkout very tempting...

My go to spot .. only if I've loaded my card up with those coupons. It's the only Safeway in Napa, since the earthquake the other one on Clay St. which was much smaller closed down. Hit or miss with stock items. Haven't quite figured out when they restock but that's when it would be a good time. This location also has a Starbucks and a Bank located inside. Their selection of flowers can be better than Whole Foods. Produce is okay, sometimes stocked to capacity, mostly not though. Their bakery is okay too. Ordered maybe 2 cakes from them since I've moved here about 4 years ago.

Do not like this store at all. Went in for dip and asked a store associate where I could find it. To make a long story short, their dips are in 4 different places and each location had different dips. It was a nightmare, and it's a large store. Their variety/selection of food is very boring. I also tried their soup, got sick. I just don't like this store.

Terrible grocery delivery from Napa store. Overcharged for items that showed a different price on my order, no show items with no explanation, 1/3 of items said "out of stock" as if they just didn't look for them. Calling was a nightmare of long hold times and disconnection and took hours trying to correct the problems. I refuse to go through that experience again even though they gave me discounts when I finally got someone on the phone and I've been a lifelong Safeway shopper.

Safeway basically serves the mass market American. They don't have good variety or cool small brands. The beer selection is all big brands or mass produced "local" beers. Nothing eclectic or exciting that seems they don't pre-select everything from some corporate office. This store is clean and bright but the produce section is limited to the basics. Cheaper at TJs.

Very crowded. Try to get there at a time when everyone else is not shopping for dinner. Perhaps 2 am after the bars close. They have a lot of baggers, but they seem to just like to stand around and talk to their friends while they watch you bag your own groceries. They seem to be foreigners. I'm not sure they actually understand what "baggers" are supposed to do. It is possible, they don't have bags in the countries they come from, so maybe it is okay?

The 1 star is solely for your STARBUCKS department only! I work near the vicinity of the Napa Safeway store and I go there often to get breakfast/lunch or a cup of coffee from the Starbucks inside. And if I may, I’d have to say that the baristas in the Napa Safeway Starbucks are by far the SLOWEST baristas I’ve ever encountered. Each time I go in to order something it takes at the, very least, 15 minutes to get my order ready, and that’s NOT including the time it took me to order my drink. One time I even went in bought my drink and went shopping for 15 minutes in hopes that my drink would be ready and all I’d have to to was just come and grab my drink and go. But no, that was not the case, I had to wait and additional 5 or so minutes for the barista to finish my order. Everyone who I work with, myself included, now goes to the Starbucks store across the street because although it may be busier there, the baristas over there are REAL baristas and a lot faster, so you’re in and out of there in no time.

Help for Safeway Safeway is one of the places I shop all the time except for it's a little far away from my house and Lucky's is closer I still prefer to shop at Safeway only because they have 5 of $5 Friday's every week and they're always understanding and kind and they're open 24/7. I'm not a big people person, I don't really like to be out around a whole bunch of people so it's very nice that I can go in there anytime in the middle of the night and go shopping . Plus when I'm shopping I always can find the deals for the next week which I like as well.

My mom slipped and almost fell. It could have been way worse than it was. I did not see a wet floor sign ANYWHERE. I have never been this frustrated and appalled. People shouldnt have to wear soccer cleats to walk safely in a place where people are PAID to make sure things like that are in order. Of course i understand hiccups, but this was something i couldnt brush off. Thankfully my mom was able to catch herself.

Since this post, I have returned several times and found it much better organized each time, more friendly the fruit section worked over well. The deli looks great, the floors are clean and the stock is well turned. However, the isle with the overkill candle scent, Ill be the one to say it — it’s a SMELL and it is near nauseating. Other than that the entire store was well stocked and looked well groomed last I went. They improved the basket round up, the stray floor items, the attatiude, and the produce is looking wonderful like it used to all the time. So the star is back. But I’m still withholding the perfect star due to the candle section. Perhaps a wrapper or packaging could stop the smell from over taking people and the bathrooms have been appalling for over one entire year — it looks as if someone got trapped in one.

I have been shopping at our napa Safeway for many years, maybe because I no where to find everything I'm shopping for and I've come to no several of the employees like Pedro and Cynthiana who always have a smile and great work ethic. Good people. There are some things that are disturbing tho. Shoplifting, it's far to easy there. I've read about it and seen it occur with no action taken. Just last night I witnessed a young lady fill her large purse with liquor and before I could get any body's attention she was out the door. What bothers me is as consumers, we have to make up for that loss with higher prices. I wish more could be done to detour shoplifting.
