I came to this place searching for pharmaceutical grade vitamins for my daughter who lives in the area. Lisa S., one of the pharmacists, helped me find the right products along with answering all my questions and concerns. Lisa was very kind and compassionate and I appreciated her taking the time to guide me. I would HIGHLY recommend Potter's House Apothecary for those searching for a rock star compound pharmacy.

I owe my eyesight in my right eye to my doctors and The Potter House fortified antibiotic eye drops. My infection and ulcer are gone and the prognosis for my eye is 20:30 vision. Potter's is totally reliable and care is above and beyond any pharmacy I've used before in my 71 years. Thank you.

Pamela McDonald

Take their time filling scripts and have no problem asking for fees to rush orders.

My Doctor went through a lot of effort to find vitamin B-12 injections for me that didn't have harmful preservatives. All Safeway pharmacy had was Cyanocobalamin. "The Cyano..." means Cyanide which kills by stopping lungs from breathing! I have IPF-Pulmonary Fibrosis. Cyanide is BAD for anyone with a lung health problem! Potters (4 hour round trip away) prepared Methylcobalamin syringes for me. That's a good thing! But, here I am, home, pants down, ready for a poke and there's no needles provided in the package Potters sent me home with. The syringes with the B-12 are an odd size so now I have to go to Safeway, (I should pull my pants up first) buy syringes with needles and squirt or draw the dose into the new syringe and then finally give myself a shot. So, I appreciate Potters is a beautiful facility with rare compounding capabilities. I would suggest they consider patients needing b-12 injections should have needles packaged along with the filled syringes they dispense.

Went in for a job interview and i was amazed at the lobby and the compounding pods they have. Everything was neat, organized, and professional. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was impeccable. Talked with a customer and all he could talk about was how great this pharmacy is and how well they treat him and his family. Great place.

“If I could give zero stars, I would.” I’ve read that line so many times when reading reviews about businesses, and have rolled my eyes every single time. Yet, here I am, stating the same thing. A while ago, I was out of work due to being very ill while battling cancer, then on bed rest when I finally got pregnant with my miracle baby. I had every intention of returning to work(ironically enough, as a pharmacy technician) once I had recovered from birth, spend a few weeks with my beloved daughter, etc. When I was finished with chemotherapy, I quit my job due to being so ill and trying to recover. When I found out I was pregnant, I applied for state assistance. I had just finished very expensive treatments, and I could not afford to pay even more in medical bills. Anyways, long story long, I didn’t plan to be on state assistance, but I also was told I didn’t have much of a chance of conceiving a child. Once my daughter was here, she had some stomach issues. Trying everything the pediatrician recon did nothing, so they finally opted for medication to alleviate one of her issues(acid reflux). The first medication we tried didn’t help, then they decided to try a compounded medication. Being on state assistance and trying to get a compounded medication was a hassle of it’s own, but I found a compounding pharmacy that took our insurance and thought we had finally figured it all out. Enter: Potter’s House Apothecary. When I called and asked if they took my insurance, the man on the other end sounded less than thrilled. He said they did, then asked about the medication. When I told him, he said he could not fill it for us. He stated that state insurance does not reimburse them enough, and he was not going to have his pharmacist do that when they would only be reimbursed $1. And that that wouldn’t even cover the the amount of time/pay for his pharmacist. I was shocked, disgusted, and embarrassed. Most of all though, I was helpless. My daughter needed to be better. She needed to gain weight. I wanted so badly to take her pain away. I had to suck up my pride just to be on state insurance to better my child’s life, yet here I am failing her again. After that phone call, as much as I wanted to give up, I still didn’t. I had to do what I could to find someone to take our insurance and that could compound and fairly quickly. To add to my failure, I still did not find a pharmacy. Instead, I sold some belongings to pay for the prescription. I ended up going to a different pharmacy. They were more expensive, but I would rather skip a few meals that give my money to Potter’s House. I drove past Potter’s House when I was in town, and it still stung and made my heart hurt. I would never do business with this company and I will always share my negative experience witg this heartless, non-empathetic, and lack of compassion for it’s own community company ever comes up in conversation.

They've been creating a special script with almond oil that changes every month. They've worked with me all along the way, helping me to titrate down. They've gone way out of their way to help me, and they've been compassionate along the way. They have my gratitude and high recommendations.

Love them!!!!!!

One of the few places on the west side of town that can process compound medications. Prices are competitive and service is great.

Used to be small, user-friendly apothecary. Now they are big and impersonal. Their newest policy is they will not fill a prescription that a doctor calls in until they actually talk to the patient. Doctor faxes a prescription over on Monday, and the patient has no idea that the prescription is NOT being filled until late Wednesday afternoon, leaving the patient without much-needed medication. Also, just wish they would answer the phone and not send me through recording h#%ll.

Didn't have all order but they did give me enough for a couple of days rushed. They were courteous, kind, respectful, and discreet.

Used to be a lot of hot girls there. Lately they've hired some 4's and 3's. Sad face. Still that dark hair girl is hot. I try to get sick often so I can fill prescriptions there. Oh and great customer service but, what man really cares about that?

I absolutely LOVE coming to this store. Sandy is such a beautiful person and this entire business just goes out of their way to make sure I'm always their #1 priority. From the ladies that work there to their deliver driver, they are the kindest people. Great products and amazing quality too. Will always be coming back to them.

We have an ailing cat that the vet had order special medication for from Potter’s house. There was a mix-up and confusion that led to where it was found that we would be outside the normal delivery area. After explaining the situation Kevin, the owner of Potter’s house agreed to drive 80 miles one way to get us the medication. We greatly appreciate his dedication to his customers and the outstanding customer support, and understanding.

Disappointing. Normally everyone is pleasant. Everything goes well. It's easy to be pleasant when everything is right. I went there to pick up a prescription and was told it was put back. They said they called. I explained that I was in a car accident apologized, let them know I live in Goodyear so this was a distance for me to travel and asked if there was anyway they could refill it and I would wait. I was told "yes, but you will have to pay a $25.00 fee in addition to the cost of the prescription". I explained that this ( prescription being put back) has NEVER happened before and asked that the $25.00 fee be waived. The staff came back and said "yes, we will refill it and not charge you THIS TIME" I thanked her and sat down to wait. I waited...some time later staff called me to the counter and said they weren't going to fill it. I could come back 3 days from then to pick it up. I asked if I paid the additional $25.00 if they could fill it now and was told yes. Basically knowing I didn't have a history of prescriptions being returned to stock. I was just injured in an accident and I lived in a different city I was told, after sitting there waiting they wouldn't fill it unless I paid an additional fee. The additional $25.00 wouldn't brake me to pay, it did however say a great deal about the place I was doing business with.

Potter's House has many major issues. The first issue was when I picked up my 2nd prescription. I called the refill line on Tuesday when I didn't receive a phone call back I called and spoke with an employee that checked with the Pharmacist for Miracle Mouth Wash and they said they would fill it for Wed pick up. On Wed I received a phone call saying they had just listened to my refill request and it would be ready on Friday. Due to their 3 day turn around on prescriptions. I explained that I had talk with a lady that had requested my prescription for Wed. Then she preceded to tell me I would have to pay a rush fee for having the prescription ready on Wed. They say it takes 3 days to fill a prescription, remember this. After a heated debate and several phone calls they decided they could fill my prescription without a rush fee. Today I went to pickup my 3rd prescription. Wed morning I left a detailed message on their refill line that I wanted my prescription filled for 450 ml gave them all my information. Today Thursday morning they leave me a message that my Miracle Mouth Wash is ready for pickup, so this time is was only a 24 hour turn around instead of the 3 days they constantly tell you. I drive the 1 hour and 25 minutes to their address to find out they only filled my prescription for 225 ml. Then they tell me my prescription was only for 225 ml. Which I then explained I had them cut it in half due to the cost on the 1st and 2nd refills. But I now can pickup the full 450 ml size, which is why I left a detail message requesting the 450 ml refill. After I explain to her that my original prescription was for 450 ml she finally notices my prescription was sent to them for 450 ml. She gets the manager who them wanders around for a while trying to figure it all out. Then she comes back to tell me that I will have to come back tomorrow because they filled the prescription wrong. Tells me it is $95 dollars. I was upset because I was going to have to drive another 1 hour and 25 minutes to pick up the rest of prescription due to their incompetence, that I didn't notice they overcharged me $20 for my medicine, which I'm assuming was a processing fee for filling the remainder of my prescription. They are big on telling you about their fees. I've heard it several times. What kind of business charges fees for their mistakes. I should definitely not be charged for this fee and will take it up with them tomorrow when I drive the 1 hour and 25 minutes again. I just want to warn anyone that may have been referred to this apothecary of their incompetence, lack of respect, follow up, attention to details and fees. If this apothecary charges you for their mistake, their lack of communication within their business they are not reputable and not worthy of their customers. I don't write bad reviews, but in this case I wrote my first for I feel you should know what to expect if you choose to do business with them.

I was able to get a compounded prescription filled here. Most regular pharmacies can't do that.
