This store is aesthetically pleasing and clean, but criminally understaffed. The LEGO, hot wheels, vinyl records, and seemly most of the store has been under stocked for weeks. I just went in today to get a LEGO set that was released today and was told it was still on the pallet in the back and wouldn’t be on the shelf until tomorrow. This store used to be great but now needs to get its act together.

In just that past week, we have purchased expired Tropicana orange juice, a moldy onion, and bananas that lasted no more than 2 days after purchase. I do not recommend buying food items from Target, as it seems as though they have a slow turnover with produce.

Everyone at their cafe has been rude for many years. I go there all the time for my lunch break , and each time the people who work at their cafe get more rude. Today for instance , I walked up to order something , I wasn’t greeted nor even looked at. I ordered a pretzel , he just placed my pretzel on the other side of the desk and placed my change on top of it, didn’t let me know it was done or nothing. Didn’t give me cheese , I asked for cheese and he said what’s the cheese for ? I said isn’t that what you eat a pretzel with ? And he said “ you didnt order cheese “ so I had to buy the cheese. Literally there was nothing in stock, their drink machines are always down. The older lady is always rude , also the young man who gave me service today. Target should speak to the employees there, it’s making them look bad.

Went to buy my teenage son shoes for school and there were none! They will restock next week when they start to carry a new brand. Thanks for being prepared for teenagers going back to school. Plus nothing in the men's section had price tags to compare and it's stuck way in the back. Hardly any clothes selection. I'll take my business elsewhere. Plus the employee was rude when I asked where are you hiding men's shoes- he kept insisting we come back next week! I'm I law school and my son has a disability. I do not have time for target's games and will not tolerate bad customer service!

There was no one around to help. After I found what I was looking for. I found 3 people standing around talking. Not one person ack me,if I needed help or do I need help. The cashier acted like it was a bother. She told people who got in line behind me, That self service was open. I think I will not be back to that Target again.

They kicked homeless children out of the store having nowhere else to go. When another guy who was there occupying four seats in Starbucks has been way longer than the homeless kids. Equality? I think otherwise. If you go there to Starbucks you will see him. He is there always. Starting from early in the day until Target closes at night. One of the workers are racist, HISPANICS WATCH OUT!! DO NOT RECOMMEND TO GO THERE AND GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THE STORE.

Target is racist. I went shopping with my girlfriend- I left her for three minutes in the women's underwear section to find two security guards within five feet of her. They pretended to take inventory, but one security guard followed her until she checked out. She confronted the cashier, and the security guard (the one who weasled his way from one end of the store to the check-out where we were), the guard arrived to get the manager. My woman confronted the manager, demanding to know "Is this how you treat your paying customers?" The manager gave a weak excuse. We left learning that my girlfriend's only crime is that she is a black woman living in Idaho.

This location is recently remodeled and redecorated. It is very nice and clean, but some of the departments are in odd places. For instance, technology/electronics aren't by the gigantic video projection; instead, that's beauty. And the seasonal is in the "wrong" corner when compared to many other Targets. I don't go super often, but it seems the $1-$5 section, which can be fun to browse as you enter the store, is always a mess and picked over when I do. Otherwise, the staff is very helpful and personable, the lines have never been too crazy long, the self-check out handles reusable bags and light items very well, since some stores' freak out with those, and the bathroom has always been clean and tidy.

Had a horrible experience there, and I will never shop here again. Actually had a manager scream at me in front of other customers. Called the head manager to report this, and he acted like it was all my fault. He told me that she had reported to him that we had an incident, but that I was the one in the wrong. There is NEVER a good reason to yell at a customer. Take your business elsewhere.

First our target gift card gets hacked and our money stolen. The lady at the deli refuses to heat up my turkey sandwich because it's a "cold sandwich." Now this... this is the last straw my family and anyone I talk to will be shopping at Walmart, not target. I go in at target and purchase a 3ds for my kid. It's a decent deal at 175. I go in the car and test it out, make sure it works before I make the long trip back to phoenix. Thing is... this 3ds xl is a piece of plastic crap that my son will destroy in a week. I go in not ten minutes later and ask for a refund immediately. I did not expect problems being that return period are usually couple weeks to a month Boy was I wrong. They bring in the supervisor, her name is trish. She tells me no dice. I already opened it. What???? Did I buy fish or meat, or perishables? am I crazy? This is a kids toy that I bought ten minutes ago. I opened it I'm the parking lot and everything is pristine!!! Nope a technicality. You open, you buy(fine print). No! I don't want this piece of 200 dollar crap! It got heated there for moment. I raised my voice which I never do. But this lady kept talking over me and down to me like I was a child. At that point I ask for a supervisor. She says she is the supervisor. I want your supervisor. She repeats herself. Look I'm not dumb lady, I know you have a supervisor. She repeats herself 5 more times(at this point she's impersonating her supervisor) She yells "fine" and storms off to lunch. Then the nicest manager comes along. He gets it. He knows I just bought this thing. I'm crying(I'm a guy, it's embarrassing) my hands are shaking. He makes it right. Thanks manager. Trish I can say without a shadow of a doubt you are the worst rep in retail I have ever delt with. Stop being abusive to your costumers.(you lost a bunch today) Actually, maybe you should just look into a field that doesn't involve people.

This Target is pretty clean and well organized. They may not have as much inventory as other Target stores, but they really do run a consistent outfit. The 4, star rating is simply because they do inventory, and stocking during the day which has taken away my ability to navigate in a tight isle more than irritating, on several occasions, also it can be difficult finding someone to help, but are indeed very friendly when you catch one.

The size of the location is a bit deceptive to what's available within. The aisles are spaced pretty widely. The food from the cafe was undercooked. Wife said that women's restroom was very dirty. Good selection in grocery and food section though.

Walked in this afternoon knowing that I was getting the Samsung 65" that I wanted and looking for a small Bose for the garage. The "Tech" associate in the Electronics Department was more worried about his phone than helping me find something. Well he at least put his phone away long enough to pass the aisle that I was standing in to see what I was doing 5 times without asking if I had any questions or needed any assistance, even though I was the only customer in the entire department. I know this because I'm a hair over 6' and can see over the aisle. So it's very obvious when I can see the guy ONLY putting his phone away to come "check on me" but not ask if I have any questions. The fourth or fifth time I'd had enough and began to leave. I pass the employee as I'm leaving (still on his phone) and told him that he could just keep playing on his phone and I'll just buy my TV and speaker somewhere else. I started looking at a drone and he continued right next to me on his phone. I explained I was being sarcastic and he simply said, "I know". Still on his cell phone. So why should I or anyone shop at Target if this is the level of customer service to be expected?

Couldn't have been any easier when doing the in-car pickup. Ordered itwms on the app during a meeting at work, drove to the store, parked at the designated spot, and order was brought straight out. Plus, I was able to use my coupons and redcard discount.

First, let me say that this store is usually clean and the check out line is not too long. The shelves are normally stocked well and it is usually a good shopping experience. However, my last trip changed the way I feel about Target completely. I was back to school shopping, and going down my list of items. I found most everything and asked an associate for assistance finding the last item, a NIV Bible. My issue is not that the store didn't have it, my issue was the reaction I received to asking if they had one. I will just say that it was not positive, and it will be a while before I go back, if ever. I know that one associate does not speak for a company, and this could be an overreaction, as Target has been making a stand for greater tolerance for everyone, except "people like me."

My wife and i came in to get a gift for a relative. We walked in and checked to see if there was the motorized carts and all of them all THREE of them were charging. I just had acl surgery about a week ago and was excited to get a gift. It’s a libility when you guys don’t have enough carts in a store for someone who’s partially handicapped. Even though it never seems to be crowded when I go, making for great parking, the store continually understaffs. There are at least 25 checkout registers, possibly more, and I've found it rare that they have more than 3 running at any given time. That means every single one has a line at least 5 customers long, making the checkout process half the time of the actual trip to the store.

I used to work at this target about a while ago. It was a pretty nice job at first but, I had a customer complaint that was talked about but it could’ve been set to the side and we could’ve moved on because I already apologized about it. So I don’t understand why they had to hold that against me like where is the logic? To continue, I was also “let go” from here because of guest services. In this particular department you cannot be put up there once a week and expect to remember everything in one shift and also you cannot be up there BY YOURSELF and expect to learn that department properly. Not to mention how poorly they train you overall. The TL’s DID NOT put me up there enough in order for me to be able to work up there proficiently. And also to add some of the TL’s don’t know how to do there job and they want to sit up and talk to there friends in the lanes for 2 hours like get out of my way so I can attract customers to my lane again, where is the logic? In conclusion, this job is a scam in general. Some of the managers don’t even treat all the employees the same way as others and don’t give enough damn hours. How do you expect people to pay rent and other bills with only 8 hours a week WHERE IS THE LOGIIICCCCC!! Thank you and I hope you reconsider doing business at Ankeny Target.

I normally love this Target. But in the past several weeks I have overheard co-workers making fun of the gift cards that they have received for themselves on a job well done. Even if the gift card is worth $15, be a little bit more grateful. This comes across as having a poor attitude toward your place of employment. Customers should never hear co-workers argue on the floor either. You should share this info and pass it along in your next line up.

The cashier was absolutely rude. She never greeted me, she looked like she had an attitude the entire transaction. I had a coupon, from my red card anniversary, and she kept questioning me about it. “What is this” she questioned as she rolled her eyes. At the end of the transaction she hands me my receipt and says nothing! I was the one who had to say “thank you and have a nice day.” This is not the first time I’ve had this cashier and had an issue. A few months ago I called the store and spoke with a manager about her and they apologized and said she was having a bad day. Is Denise always having a bad day? No she’s just rude and racist , because she greeted the Caucasian family behind me with a big smile and a chipper “hello”. I will mke sure I do not return to this store again.

The layout of this store is strange in that you have to go in circles in order to go through all the aisles. As an avid store walker it's a bit frustrating because some of the layout does not make sense. It's usually pretty calm in here compared to other Targets nearby.

I buy the charmin, tide and bounce combo, the cashier doesn’t know anything about the $5.00 cash card back and then tells me to walk down to customer service and wait in line to get the cash card !!! Since I am on this rant tonight, the after Christmas sales, no prices on shelves or on most relevant items, yet a 30-50% off sign in isle, but you have no idea where the start is and there is no one around!! I usually do all my shopping here basic needs and also groceries. Ive always loved this store till yesterday 5/4. My hisband and I came in to purchase ponchos that were sold out which we totally understood but we went to the kids clothes section to see about purchasing my son a raincoat for the monster truck show. We stopped an employee to ask for help around 3:45pm and he tells me “ Im on break this isn't my area”. Ok so we were like “ can you tell me who can help us?” And he replies “ I told you Im on break and you need to find the employee for this section.” I then proceed to say “ how am I supposed to know which employee works where?” And he said “ not my problem Im on break” he didnt have a nametag on so I dont know which employee but he was a teenager kid with dark short curly hair. Now I know breaks are important but he could of been more customer friendly saying “ hey this isnt my department so I don’t know for sure where the location of this item is but if you wait here Ill get you some help” that is easy and took one second and wouldn't have left a bad taste in my mouth about the customer service from this store. I easily spend $800 a month in this store because we literally buy everything there instead of going to the commissary. But yesterday I was like really taken back by the lack of the friendliness from this one staff member.

I used to frequent this target and let me tell you, while I do love it, I can’t help but feel like it’s...too clean. Like what are y’all hiding, that it gotta be like that? I hit up my homies houses and I still see some poo poo stains in the toilet, but at least they’re keeping it real. We all take dumps, it’s not big deal. Target on the other hand, you could probably eat some ramen noodles out of their toilets. I also recently found out my ex works there so I don’t frequent like I used to since finding out. Screw that chick man, I bet she took some dumps in their toilets. I remember her nasty dumps. Maybe thats why they’re too clean because Monica makes too many poo stains in their toilets. Monica always be causing stuff...anyways this target is pretty cool. I’d recommend if you’re doing some light shopping, but avoid Monica at all costs.

Never enough cashiers and when shopping for a large family self check is not an option due to bagging issues. Tall sizes in clothes are almost non existent at Target now. Shoes are gone. So disappointed in the overall lack of variety and crowded narrow aisles and layout that make shopping with kiddos nearly impossible. And why are canned raviolis now kept in the baking aisle?!? Target has really cute things. I like the section up front where I can find canvas placements - 2 for $3. I'm waiting to see what Valentine place mets come in. I saw the $2.99 heart place mats, but the workers can't find them in the Bowling Green store, even though the stock system shows there are 3. The same thing with the XL navy tank tops. It kept showing 2 in stock and I checked back over two times. I finally gave up and bought them on line. I think they need to do an inventory and correct there stock system. It seems like things get lost or stolen and then items don't get reordered because the system keeps showing small quantities.

I really used to like this Target but not anymore. I bought a pack of lunch meat without looking at the best before date. Well come to find out the package was three months out of date! When I took it back the customer service person looked at me, laughed and asked what should she do about it? I was so mad I asked to speak to a manager and I was informed they don't speak to rude a$$ holes! Now the only time I shop here is for a toy or a movie if my other stores are sold out. My advice, stay away from this store. Or at the very least stay away from the grocery section.

This Target location consistently does not have enough checkout lanes open, and customers are always seven people deep waiting in line. This past weekend there was no employee assisting the self-checkout lanes. Repeated requests for the manager to come to the front of the store were ignored. I left without paying for my photos because I was waiting in line for so long. This Target is the very definition of disfunction.

A very rude store clerk by the name of Vincent works here, I saw him completely ignore a kind hearted senior citizen that was standing next in line and treated her as if she was invisible and didn't exist, this ill mannered checkout clerk asked the person standing behind her if they wanted to be checked out first. Yes, as God as my witness I saw it! He had eyes like Kim Jong Un - his behavior was totally unfair and UnAmerican. Even the person he chose that was standing behind the Senior Citizen knew his behavior was wrong and shook her head in disgust. I saw the Senior Citizen leave the store with a very unpleasant expression on her face as if she had lost her Holiday Shopping Spirit. Whenever I experience or see injustices I have a voice and will speak out against tyranny, discrimination and the instigators of evil.

Went into target at about 8:15 in the morning on Thursday 08/09/18,walked in and there was employees in the front did not greet us,they were standing there talking.There was no comment about all the construction going on in the store.The were multiple employees not one greeted us throughout the store, we encountered at least 15 not one smile not one greet.I was trying to get to the gaming section there were multiple employees talking and restocking the merchandise since they were moving stuff around.They turned and looked at me and continued to talk and did not even acknowledge me what so ever.The whole store was a disaster looked like a tornado went through sections carts were everywhere you could not shop in certain sections.I have worked in the retail industry for a long time and we would never treat our customers that way,and we have gone through remodels,and never left that kind of atmosphere for customers to shop in.One it is a huge safety issue for people shopping,and then thee poor customer service on top of it :(. (UPDATE 12/29/2018) rude target employees Again Yes we experience bad customer service next to the food area there was a female target employee blocking the whole aisle she had a full cart of champion bottles she was talking to a employee other customer was going around them.i was with my wife and 2 boys and i had a full cart of food and i could not get by her. she saw us and she never moved she continue talking. i said to her excuse i am trying to get through and she still did not move. i stood there looking at her and she finely moves and looks at me and said hi she made a "smug look on her face" she was very rude! she never apologize. she was a female latina with long black hair she had glasses on and i try to get her name she put her pony tail in front of her name tag it was blocking her name tag so i would not see it. i seen her again at the cashier check out. she was at the front cashier area she was stocking champion bottles at the incap shelfs. she still had her name tag blocked by her hair she did this intentionally. I think she knew i was trying to look at her name tag.she knows what she did wrong.it was very disrespectful what she did. I like so many other people have visited this Target throughout the years more times then I can count. I absolutely love the products they have. I purchased a little over $100 worth of items in the baby department as a gift for a new baby for my sister-in-law. My family had come down with the flu so we couldn’t visit the baby until we were all well. By the time we were all well it was a month later. Most of the items didn’t fit the baby. I tried to return the items with the gift receipt and was told I could only get a gift card for the baby clothes which is fine. The problem is that when I tried to return the diaper bag I was told that I needed to find something else in the same baby department to exchange the diaper bag that was $65. I don’t need anything in the baby department any more lol!! Now I could understand if I had no receipt but I did. I own my own business and would never treat my customers in that way. Or have ridiculous return policies. Just a thought... If someone is purchasing a (gift) for someone that was over $100, how much would you think they purchase for their own family on a weekly basis???? I know we are just a pebble in the ocean but my family and I will not be purchasing from Target any longer.

It saddens me that a family oriented place as big as target allows affairs to be going on between a married man and a 30 year old woman in the work environment. Even after it’s been brought to a managers attention and there was a transfer discussion with HR. I will never shop here again given that target and the higher up people apparently condone their employees to have affairs with their coworkers.

This store is an old school Target - it reminded me of the one on White Bridge Rd in Nashville in the late 90s before it became a Super Target. Two stars for nostalgia and a great clothing selection. Unfortunately, those were the only good things about this store when I was there a few months ago. The store itself was dirty in the grocery area, with scuff marks and spills on the floor. I'm hoping this was due to the stocking that was going on at the time, and that it's usually cleaner than it was then. All but one of the team members we encountered were either rude or simply apathetic, and the kicker was, while we were checking out, there were several employees at the front of the store staring at us in silence while we were going through the line. Yes, I know you don't see an old white man and a young black woman with long dreadlocks together very often, and we were probably a novelty item in BG, but jeez-would it kill you to say "have a good night" or "Thanks for shopping with us"...when we walked by? Not cool. Come on guys, you can do better.

Very busy location, lots of traffic and parking takes a few minutes as a result. However, the store is clean, well-stocked and it epitomizes the one-stop-shop model. You can get your toothpaste, organic pasta sauce, prescriptions, side tables, a new swim suit, dvd's/books, a fire pit, bleach, and a baby stroller all in a single visit! Don't forget to keep an eye out for those red sticker/clearance items for great deals. Score!

Target has easy-to-use order pick-up and a fantastic app that tells you exactly where everything is in the store. However, as Target has moved to please the masses more, it has become increasingly less autism-friendly than it originally was. The music was an intrusion years ago, but I adjusted. Now, they train their self-checkout employees to force interaction. I truly hope Target realizes their error and redirects towards a more autism-accessible direction in the future.

This store doesnt treat employees very well. The reviews about poor customer service and agitated employees are totally understandable once you realize how much the managerial staff uses employees with little regard for them. This store is usually understaffed which accounts for the cleanliness and clutter. This Target store bleeds talented, hardworking employees that quit all the time because of the lack of regard. Sad because Target sets itself above competitors TYPICALLY, but not at this store.

I would like to compliment a young man who works at the Bourbonnais, Il store. Today I was in the store for approximately 30 minutes. I needed help locating an item and ask an employee for help. These days, especially with holiday staff, many employees are very unsure of where items are located or even if the store carries the item. This employee took me directly to the location without hesitation. About 10 minutes later I found myself in another department, completely unrelated to the first one but lo an behold when I searched out an employee it was the same one. Once again he happily announced that they indeed had the item I needed, he walked me to it and asked if I needed help locating anything else. His name tag said he is Christopher. He is a true example of customer service. Thank you Christopher. You are appreciated.

I was greeted by one an African American young man whose name I didn't get. One of his eye's was bloodshot red and I believe that he worked the self checkout area. I needed help trying to find the bathroom shelves. He explained how to get there. But on top of it he was EXTREMELY nice. I totally felt welcomed. Then at check out it was evident in my face that I didn't know how to use the machine. The issue was using Samsung Pay for the first time. A young man named Marquis left his register and asked me if I needed help. Then he guided me as to how to use it and made me feel good. I have never had a bad experience at any Target but I have never had such a pleasant experience like I did today. I was disappointed that you didn't have the shelves but I spent more time and made other purchases because the customer service was awesome. And I am truly grateful. I'm going to start shopping here every time I get a chance. Thanks guys!

This store is great. The staff is polite and the store is quiet and clean. The Drive Up ordering is MAGNIFICENT!!! Every time I use it, my app says the order is ready within 10 minutes every time. And when I arrive, an employee is either waiting outside with my items or they're out with one minute. What an awesome and convenient service! The children's clothing is the cutest around & their prices are now comparable to Walmart, which is a plus. Great selection on everything and very prompt service. Terrific store.

Generally I like target and all the employees are nice, but today while Christmas shopping they had a 50% off sale going for baby and toddler apparel. I thought it meant 50% off everything for babies today but it was a buy one get one 50% off which is fine. I didnt know that until I went to check out and it didn't half the prices so I asked the cashier what was going on. His manager or something Garret came over and looked, then went to another manager to check on it. I guess he thought he was out of hearing distance but I heard him say "she's trying to say everything's 50% off" like I was TRYING to pull one over on him. I'm not TRYING to get stuff for free, it was just a misunderstanding. So yeah. It was embarrassing and I'm pretty sure the people behind me heard it so I wanted to crawl in a hole. I don't like making scenes so i just said sorry, paid for my stuff and left. The cashier was nice, but other guy... I hope all it was, was he was having a stressful day or something, but if you're going to use a tone like that about someone, atleast make sure they can't hear you...

I just have to start off with how funny this asks what did you like about it. The reason is because there was nothing about the place that you can like. Being a former employee with a company that highers people that use drugs and alcohol. Even some of the team leaders. It just makes me wonder does the the company actually know whats going on behind there back. I was a cart attendant and was busting off my butt off, coming in on days off and staying later, sometimes it would be the same day, and i haven't called off even when i came down with bronchitis. But I have to say i am not doing this to get revenge or get "payback" like no i wanna let the people that own this company. To let them know what they don't know when they aren't there. And one messed up part was that when i got interviewed they asked me if i could pass a drug test for marijuana and i was completely honest with them. I told them i wouldn't pass just because i use marijuana and that i have a medical condition for the use of marijuana. So they said if its not at work its fine. But after 5 months i got fired for a suspicious cause which i did agree to on my own decision and took my consequences with me. But if i don't see something happen soon i will get ahold of BBB.

I drove an hour yesterday to buy a warm coat, as it's wintery cold outside. I walk in to where I saw hundreds of coats just last month, to find them replaced with hundreds of bikinis....that's right, BIKINIS. Happy January! Just a warning for gift card holders. On Sun, 07/29/2019 I made a purchase totaling $115.15. I gave the cashier a $100 gift card, and a 50 dollar bill to pay for the difference. Rather than giving me cash change, she gave me a gift card with a balance of $34.85?? When I asked her why she did this she responded, " because you gave me a $100 gift card plus $50. Cash payment of $50 plus card payment of $65.15" When I asked her to give me cash back instead, she said she could not, and I need to go to customer service...Being in a rush that day I did not have time so I left. Is this Target's gift card policy, and are their employees trained to do this so you spend more money there??!!
