Nothing but bad experiences here. Everyone I have dealt with has been rude. They charged me full price for a prescription that they only gave me half of, told me that they would mail me the other half as I explained I live in the valley and cannot get here easily. I told them specifically I lived in wasilla and was assured it was no problem to mail the prescription to me. I get harassing phone calls saying my medication is ready for pick-up, so I call in and explain to the lackluster customer service that I was told this could be mailed. She got nasty saying my address on file was an Anchorage address then cut me off quickly saying they dont mail to wasilla as I was trying to explain they had the wrong address. So now I'm out a bunch of money for medication I DIDNT EVEN RECIEVE and have to make a whole second trip to Anchorage after they assured me they would mail. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I love Bernies Pharmacy they have been serving me for 12-13 years now. Except for the occasional blurp their service is very good. I have found, however, that it is a good thing to always call again on refills just to miss that occasional blurp. That way mistakes are missed before they occur. I love their new service where they call if I've missed a refill. This is very helpful to me and shows me they really care about their clients. Thank you Bernies and Staff... Vanessa

They have provided a great servers for many many years. It is sad to hear that Walgreens has basically pushed them out due to cutting off their medication supplier. Will miss going to Bernies to get medication.

My wife and I live in the Valley. She has hard pregnancies and MUST take progesterone immediately because her levels are low and we have had three miscarriages in the past. We found out she is expecting and is only 4.5 weeks along. Geneva Woods in wasilla gave my wife the run around all afternoon 3/9/18. Finally I called them 30 min before they closed, 5:30pm. Finally the lady told me that they don’t compound what we need at their location. They send it to Anchorage and then it is brought back to them a day or two later. This means there was absolutely no way for us to get the progesterone compound from them same day ☹️☹️. I called Bernie’s at 5:43pm and the lady said they keep some compounded on hand. At 5:52 our midwife’s nurse called in our prescription to Bernie’s. I pulled into the parking lot at 5:58 and ran up the stairs to the second floor. When I tried the handle to Bernie’s Pharmacy they had just locked it. However the kind lady opened the door. We now have our progesterone

If I could give zero stars, I would. They refuse to contact insurance companies and/or medical providers in a timely fashion or at all, in order to verify pertinent information or authorize billing. Bernies was the only place we could find within 60 miles of my home, made promises they didn't intend to keep, haven't contacted insurance in a week etc..Stay away if you can!

Great personalized service. Unlike in chain pharmacies, everyone at this pharmacy goes out of their way to make things happen. The staff cares and you get treated as an individual not an RX number.

The staff is absolutely amazing! I've been going to them for about 5 years now. I rarely have had any problems with my prescriptions and if I did it was fixed or worked out promptly. There isn't one staff member that I don't respect and admire. They have one of the toughest jobs working with the public I can think of and they always handle every situation professionally and respectfully. They will always have my business as well as my family's.

Bernies Pharmacy is great. All the people here are so wonderful and caring. I had the pleasure of using their services for quite a long time but had to change pharmacies at no fault of theirs. I loved the small family home feeling I got there. But what happened to this store was so wrong. They really care about their clients and take the time to make sure everyone is treated with respect and understanding. Thank you to all the staff and owners of Bernies Pharmacy.

This pharmacy is notorious for running out of specialty medication. Customer service is nonexistent and shows no remorse when they screw up the medication and the orders time and time again. Our physician even told us of transplant patients not having their immunosuppressant medication because they forgot to order the compounds. Which resulted in the patient being admitted to the hospital. They have "forgotten" to order the compounds to make my 8.5 month old child's corn free medication, leaving him without the medication for nearly two weeks. This is a medication he takes twice a day. This was also after having him on a strict diet for 8 weeks, and without the medication his condition regressed, and his healed intestinal wall lining to be ruined. Not only have they forgot to order the compounds to make it, but consistently ruin the order when they do have it (quantity, quality, etc). They ruined the medication by leaving it at room temperature, causing it to be even warm to the touch from the window they stored it near. Once again making my child wait for his medication. I would never recommend this pharmacy. My advice if needing specialty medication made is to try Walgreens, Geneva Woods, or Lake Otis Pharmacy across the street.
