Was very excited to use this company for my mosquito treatment this year. On the second visit I came home and found an obnoxious sign in my yard that they placed advertising their business. They did not ask me to put the sign in the yard nor was it agreed to before they did it. It was not a little sign but it was a very large sign the size of a political candidate sign. When I complained to the company about this they said it was their corporate policy to place the signs in peoples yards. Upon hearing that I canceled my service with them. I find it offensive that a company would think it is appropriate to put a large advertising sign in my yard without my consent. A sign that is totally free advertising for them intended to target my neighbors business. Then upon learning of my complaint to rebuff that by saying it’s corporate policy is completely unacceptable. Whether or not the company is good at treating mosquitoes is unknown to me. If a company wants my neighbors business they should just do a good job and let word of mouth get them more business. Hopefully they change their “corporate policy” and don’t use their customers property as a free place to advertise. Be aware that if you do business with them you should expect a large sign to be placed in your yard without your consent.

Calling today to cancel. Only used them twice for mosquito and flies. The fly spray doesn't work, we have a bad fly problem and last night sitting in the backyard I was attached by flies and mosquitoes (I'm allergic to mosquitoes) Lots of blood sucking and lots of huge welts. We were sprayed a week ago. Going back to Truegreen.

I was skeptical that I would ever find any relief from the swarms of mosquitos in our yard the last 2 summers. My toddler couldn't even go outside to play without getting eaten alive. This year I decided to try Mosquito Squad because frankly, I was desperate. After the first spray I was outside the next evening to test it out. I only saw 1 mosquito. Everyone is very polite and happy to be of assistance. The cost is reasonable and the results are amazing! If someone had told me that this service actually worked, I would have been skeptical - but I know for a fact that it does work! Mosquito Squad Our experience with Mosquito Squad has been a disappointment. The first couple times they sprayed the entire yard (under 0.25 acre) which worked great. We expected they would spray the same way every time since they charge you based on the size of the property. WRONG! We noticed over the last two months after treatments we were getting mosquito bites everywhere once outside for a short period. We even called them to come back out. The last time they sprayed the yard, I luckily was off work to witness the guy spray only around the house and take off after about two minutes. The contractor who was working outside said how little he sprayed. I, of course, called Mosquito Squad and told them what happened and they sent the “expert” back who stated that they don’t typically spray the yard. That was baffling since they charge by the size of your property. The irritated employee sprayed the front yard poorly and took off missing my entire backyard. Interesting enough a couple of days later we found an infestation in the yard along the fence line two days later; explaining why we couldn’t be outside. I murdered thousands of mosquitos myself with a spray bottle. Save the $45 they charge and do it yourself with a couple of bottles in 10 minutes with better results. We can’t take off work to make sure we can trust them to spray our entire yard. Other complaints: They frequently don’t answer their phones during regular business hours. They stick huge mosquito squad signs in your yard without asking first.

I have been a customer of Mosquito Squad for over a year now and to say that I’m impressed is an understatement. I wanted to wait a while before leaving a review to ensure that I was receiving consistent and quality results. I live in Pungo, VA, and our state bird is the mosquito. Since Mosquito Squad has been spraying my property, I have not seen a single one of those little terrorists, and neither has anybody in my family. For those who own pets, fear not! I have two shepherds and they don’t seem to mind at all, just a quick 30 minute wait after the spray and they can go out! Their customer service is top notch too, I had a bunch of questions at the beginning and they answered all of them throughly and professionally. If i could give them 6 stars I would. I Cannot recommend them enough!

My yard is a better place. I designed my yard to be a comfortable space to sit, eat, listen to music but I never went outside. For some reason I have always been mosquito food. The bites for some reason turn out to be an ordeal. I contacted Mosquito Squad and they began treating my yard. On time, always professional and I have only been bitten once. I don't know exactly how it works but it does. Last year at my yearly June gathering the biggest complaint was mosquitoes. This year no one said the word mosquito. It is not expensive but I was being cheap and debating if should get the package of treatments and I am so glad I did. My yard is now the place to be Friday nights and weekends.

The technicians that come to your house are nothing by kind and always arrive on time.We have lots of dogs and they always make sure water bowls are flipped over after and gates are locked. Recently they were able to adjust a scheduled spray so that our guests at a backyard party were not bothered by hungry mosquitos that evening! Bravo!! When a new person comes to spray, they typically knock on the door and ask if there are any areas we do not wish to have sprayed. My offices are located near the James River, and back up to a wildlife preserve with a pond. We love the water and the natural, somewhat wild, landscape. Maybe it works for some people but for me it did not make any noticeable difference other then to my bank account. The fly treatment is a complete waste of money. I guess if you could get all your neighbors to also get the treatment it might work but other then that no good. I don't recommend and I would never pay for the service again.

They are absolutely amazing. I have a few dogs to say the least and they did an amazing job. They actually made sure to secure my gate!! This product made a big difference. I had a deck built and wasn’t able to enjoy it because of how bad these mosquitoes where so I gave them a call. I noticed a big difference almost immediately and within a week they were basically non existent! Customer service was amazing. I had reply back almost immediately and they came out within a couple days of signing up! I have some water bowls outback and a note was left that they dumped it and to also make sure I cleaned them out before I let dogs drink from them. They just completed my second treatment this morning. They arrived exactly the time they said they would!! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!! We recently purchased a beautiful property that backs up to a creek. We love our yard so much, but it was completely unusable due to the many ticks and unbelievable amount of mosquitoes. I was desperate as my kids couldn't play outside for 5 mins without being covered in bites. I called mosquito squad and they came out the same day! Only one application and we were able to enjoy our yard again. What a blessing! I am a pretty granola type Mama and avoid all synthetic chemical as much as possible, but with the number of people we now know suffering from tick/mosquito borne diseases, I have great peace with this. I will definitely be opting for the tick treatment before the season begins next spring. Also, it is great that we didn't have to be home during application and that they sent real-time updates on the status of the technician and their eta, and then text you when the job is completed. My sister in law told me she was using Mosquito Squad last spring and it worked for her. I decided to give it a try since the mosquitos were out early in the season. My property backs to woods and a ditch with standing water. We weren’t able to enjoy our deck or pool at that point because we were being attacked by mosquitos all day. After just ONE TREATMENT by Mosquito Squad the mosquitos were COMPLETELY GONE! We kept up with the recommended treatments thru the fall and the mosquitos never returned! I love that I receive a text with the technicians ETA, that I don’t have to be home and I get a notice on my door after he or she has left. So convienent! We have just been cancelled by mosquito squad because they did not want to provide customer service. The only request we consistently made was to have the service tech ring our doorbell and wait until we answer the door (as my wife works from home) to let us know they had arrived. We have 2 large dogs and have a dog door that allows them constant access to our backyard. The spray they use can be harmful to dogs and they recommend that you keep your dogs off the lawn, or sprayed area, for at least 30 minutes. Time after time the tech would ring the bell and get right to work. They couldn't wait 15-30 seconds for my wife to get to the door so she could close off the dog door. After multiple calls to the office making this simple request it never happened. The woman, Emily, who spoke to my wife kept stopping her from talking and telling my wife all the things that they were doing (emails, notifications etc) letting us know that they were coming. We agreed, all that was good, we just alway had 1 request - please wait at the door so we know you are here so we can close the dog door. IT NEVER HAPPENED. For that reason, we were deemed unreasonable and have been cancelled from their service. I have already booked an appointment with a competitor and explained this experience with them and they assured me that would not be an issue. Just sharing my experience. You get to decide if you want to work with them.

Awesome! Awesome! I have almost a 1/2 acre of property and I generally can't go outside after work without being attacked by hordes of tiger mosquitoes (my best friend averaged 8-10 bites in :30 minutes outside) big enough to wear very small saddles. Once mosquito squad came out and sprayed I have NOT had a single bite or encounter with any mosquito for WEEKS. But I still have butterflies, junebugs, bees, dragonflies--but no mosquitoes! Worth the price.
