I have a "No Soliciting" sign and pointed it out; he did not even acknowledge and kept rolling with his pushy sales pitch. Very pushy salesperson came to our home yesterday. I opened my door to look for a package I’d been expecting only to find a man standing in the middle of our front yard. Even after telling him repeatedly that we weren’t interested, he started walking up the porch toward the front door. It was extremely creepy, I would have thought he was casing our house for a break-in if our neighbors didn’t have the same exact experience.

Salesman came to my door on a Saturday morning. After I showed him my homemade ‘No solicitation’ sign, he continued with his spiel anyway. He told me he was surprised I didn’t notice the vans in the neighborhood and that they had been servicing my neighbors. He continued by saying he wanted to make sure the pests weren’t being pushed to my house. When he realized he wasn’t going to get anything out of me, he said he was impressed I knew how to spell solicitation. If I was ever going to use this company, he ruined it.

Since we started using Evergreen we haven’t had any problems with pests. We don’t even need to call them, they always know when it’s the right time for service. This gives us a peace of mind. Anyone else been "visited" by Evergreen Pest Control? The young man knocked several times, then started ringing the doorbell. When I finally went to the door he proceeded to ask me if I am aware of "what's been going on in the neighborhood" and "have I seen his trucks, and "did I know he's been flushing out several houses"? I asked probably three or four specific questions to which he gave very non-specific answers. I also asked if he had gotten permission to go house to house from the office as we are a no-soliciting community. He had no idea what I was talking about and said he's not been asked about that anywhere else. Finally he committed to saying they were able to treat for ants, including carpenter ants as well as spiders, including Wolf spiders and Black Widows. His tactics were less than what I'd expect from a reputable sales person and his answers were vague. As a result of the exchange with this person, I would never call on this company for service. His tactic was to "sell" fear and his answers were evasive until pressed repeatedly to identify what he was trying to sell.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Use ANY other company but this one. My husband and I were new homeowners and the previous owners did not take care of the home properly. We had fire ants, spiders, etc. the salesperson gave us a list of pests that they treat, so we reluctantly signed up. They did one initial treatment and then stated they would be back in a month. No one showed and when we called, the rep was completely rude. They finally came out after tons of ignored calls and spray only the outside. My husband asked the person to spray inside and he replied “You didn’t sign up for that one”. I had to check and we signed up for the full treatment. None of what they were doing was working. It seemed like the number of pests had doubled inside and out. I finally found a solution that completely solved our issue, but they want us to pay for services that don’t even work. We’ve called asking to terminate and get nothing but the run around. Lack of professionalism and the watered down solution they spray is just not worth it at all.

My cameras caught a guy, AGAIN, just this morning. I called their number, told the man they need to stop coming on my property. He said okay...as if the conversation was over. So I said, well don't you want my address? He said yes, but I'm pretty sure he didn't write it down. If you can't follow my wishes to stay off my property, why would I buy anything from you? KEEP AWAY!

Now ants running amuck in my bathrooms - could be because of all the rain, but I would think if they treated as often as they do, the ants would be controlled better......but this is the first time I have used an exterminator service.

I hired these folks for ants and other insects. They came quarterly for treatments. They had sent me an email asking if everything was going well. I answered very nicely saying that “I have ants ants and more ants and thank god no ants in the pants”! And even included that service was due at the end of that week. The gentleman came and knew nothing of my email answer and spent exactly 7 minutes spraying a light stream around my house. So, since nothing was done or mentioned about those ants I wrote an email and cancelled service. They then called and told me I cannot cancel in writing, I must speak with the sales manager. I told that person the service was cancelled in writing and verbally to her and was still told that it won’t be cancelled until I speak with someone, 4 calls from them requesting to speak with me to cancel service. REALLY!? I then wrote an email asking if they could recommend a pest service to eliminate Evergreen Pest Service! Then they finally cancelled the service. I’ve read other complaints about they’re problem in cancelling. My advice...never use them and if you do, NEVER give them your credit card to pay. I paid by check. Just stay away!!

You should really not have creepy salesmen going around on foot who walk past no trespassing signs and wander around homeowners property. Then the salesmen not even coming to my front door but just standing around the back of my home, once I walked outside he started walking away. I asked do you need some help? He replied uhh I dunno, I said ok who are you why are you here? he eventually turned back to me not being able to explain why he's there or trespassing, all he knew is he was there for evergreen, and eventually remembered the word exterminators. He also seemed to be intoxicated and acted as if he was lost. I asked if he saw the 2 no trespassing signs at the entrance to my property, he shrugged his head and continued to walk away and act like he couldn't hear me when I asked where is your car, how did you get way out here? Do you need help?. He continued to walk down my 2000ft driveway like it was a stroll in the park on public property. Also I mentioned not to come back on my property or I will call the police and if he returns I will. The only reason I knew he was on my property is we have motion sensors at the entrance and I heard it go off, when it went off, I was inside my home watching him on our security camera system, he was standing on my property wandering around aimlessly taking photos of my pets& selfies and leaning against one of my vehicles playing on his phone. This wasn't a young guy either he was a grown man. He was wearing a baseball cap, tshirt, shorts, carrying a tablet and a cellphone, so you can hopefully identify this individual that is representing your business in a horrible way. I can supply security camera images of him if you need them. This individual should not be representing your company. He never even tried being a salesmen, he was just literally being quiet and creepy, hanging out with my pets, taking pictures and lurking around my home while I am inside. So obviously this has deterred me from ever wanting to do business with you, not that I need your business or even asked.

It was due to rain that day, so we decided that the outside should wait until a day when rain was not expected. The office called and set up another appointment for the outside. Erik came on time and did the perimeter and eaves. He was very efficient as well. Unfortunately we had I light rain 6 hours after the outside was done, so I hope it did the job.

Then I look at him and asked why? Then he said that his company was in the area for pest control. Then I told him you walked on my property and started asked me personal questions without telling me your name and what you do. The he said well do you want to hear what I have to say? So then I told him NO I don’t and how can you work in sales with a nasty attitude and Please get off of my property. EDITED : re - reviewed and edited. Initially I rated 3 stars due to the below ; however changed to 5 stars now as they have made such a huge effort to address my concerns. The actual company owner came and spoke to my husband about my concerns ( you don't see this now now a days so I was pleasantly surprised). I think their customer service is excellent. They have worked very hard and done everything in their power to address our concerns. The employees are very nice and pleasant. The reason why I rated a 3 instead of 5 is because on multiple occasions they made mistakes in the charge cost of the service. They fixed it the first time after calling twice .. the second time, I do not believe I was credited back the overcharge. In addition to this, unfortunately, I still have ants frequently in my house despite having quartly service. The company has come in between quartly treatments to re-treat once I have told them ants are around. However, I feel like I shouldn't be seeing ants so frequently while getting service/treatments. I don't believe they treat or locate ants nests so maybe that is the issue.

So far so good. The door to door salesperson wasn't very honest when he came by. I only signed up w/them b/c he put me under the impression that they worked w/the HOA & our neighborhood was over run w/all these bugs. Either way I fell for it- I had no issue w/bugs inside the house until they came & sprayed. The ants....omg! It was so many in just the one area in my kitchen that just wouldn't go away. They had to come back 3 times until they finally left. All the techs that came were very nice & extremely helpful. All extra visits were free of charge- even when Eugene came out on a Saturday. I've only been a customer about 3 months so we shall see how the rest of the time goes.

***UPDATED MY REVIEW*** We had signed up for this service and unfortunately got off to a rocky start. However, as soon as we voiced our concerns, the local manager Eddie set his schedule aside and took charge and bent over backwards to make sure we were taken care of. He stayed in consistent contact with us to make sure not only on concerns were being addressed but the issues within our home were taken care of, which they were. Knowing now how hard these guys work to get it right I would definitely recommend them.

My property is posted NO TRESPASING. The neighborhood solicitor had to walk past 3 to get to my porch and was standing between 2 signs. Firstly, my 6’2 Son answered the door and told the sales person he had to talk to me. Though in bed w/migraine, the young man I sister it was important. Thinking there was a problem I went to door. Admittedly angry, I looked at the young guy got a full 2 minutes speechless because he was a) obviously soliciting and b) standing between the signs. He actually gave me a look and said “what”? Then he went into a spiel that was half-hearted at best - like this “yeah um u May have seen our trucks in the neighborhood we’ve been spraying for mosquitos and all your neighbors have done it so yeah you better do it because all the mosquitos will come this way and you don’t want them here” while looking down at the ground and up/down the street. When he finished his spiel...my mouth/expression was still frozen in disbelief. I asked first if he could read. He said yes. I asked him if he knew why I was asking. He said yeah - no trespassing signs. But I’m not trespassing I’m soliciting. OMG. Next he said your neighbors signed up. Angered by this I again asked - you do read. So you know what NO TRESPASSING means. If you are soliciting you are trespassing and if your are soliciting have you checked in to the Chesterfield Co. PD to get permission to solicit? And lastly, my neighbors in the cul-de-sac have not signed on and the audacity to say all the mosquitos will bypass the houses without spray and land here is beyond comprehension. Mainly, you are standing on my porch violating the law and arguing the difference between “no trespassing” and “no soliciting”. You have 10 seconds to leave. He stood there. Seriously then asked me what was wrong with ME? I picked up my phone to call police but the boy sauntered off the property by crossing the lawn and going next door. I proceeded to call the neighbors. IF the company was reputable - and I’m not passing judgment- the hired person was NOT a good representative of your company and did more harm than good. Next probably a good idea to let them know no trespassing applies to everyone and lastly check in with the local PD and get permission and a badge to solicit.

My initial comment is with regards to the gentleman who came for the initial treatment. He was a very nice man and pleasant with which to deal. My main obvious concern was spiders. He did a respectable job of cleaning them out but by the next day many showed up again. I don't know what poison if any was used but couldn't see the evidence of it. The man who first contacted me said a substance would be placed on the ground up to 6 ft. from the foundation. Didn't see anything there either a dry spread or a wet spray. Not all the webs were removed. I don't think I will continue the service!

We originally signed up because they knocked on our door and said they were treating most of the neighborhood, NOT true. We had to call back after almost every '30 day waiting period' between services because we were still having issues, especially with ant season. We kept them for the full year contract hoping it would get better, but once it was up, we canceled our service. Canceling was like pulling teeth, it took multiple emails and phone calls and a lot of being jerked around. Today, while I was in the shower, someone showed up and started treating the outside of the house. I saw him, stopped him and told him we canceled. He said he would just finish up since he was here. I said no, because we're not paying for this. Back and forth and finally he called his manager who "graciously" offered to half the $88 charge, so it would "only be $44" but that's all they could do for me. I told him flat out we were not paying them a cent, our contract was over, it wasn't our fault he got sent out. Fast forward an hour and they've charged our card for the full $88. Awful service, awful product, awful marketing. I wish I had 2 more hands, so I could give this place 4 thumbs down.

Sales and technician were both very polite. The first service and we’re still seeing a lot of bugs, including a line of carpenter ants coming from a tree in the front, but much reduced inside. Still a lot of cellar spiders in the garage spaces and the occasional silverfish inside. Will be contacting the company if it continues longer than another couple weeks, since they did say we could see increased activity for the first while. EDIT: Upped the review to 5 stars, haven't seen any activity of ants or other bugs indoors, mice have cleared out, and they're very responsive when we do notice something and reach out. They mentioned that they take a tiered approach to taking care of infestations, so if it doesn't work the first time or two, they always have a "final solution" if it comes to that. The fact that they cover all the costs as long as you are on contract is nice, since with other things like home warranties, you pay monthly AND pay a per visit service fee. This is not like that, and gives us peace of mind.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - I cannot stress enough how many problems we have had since they came out. Tiny ants appeared after the first service. They send text messages asking if everything went ok like they are from a person. When you reply, you get an automated "do not reoly" message. After the second visit, fruit flies and large black flies appeared in the house. I have not been able to get in touch with them since. Trying to cancel but you can never reach the office by phone and messages and emails are not returned. I will be contacting the BBB today if I do not get resolution today from this awful service. I wish I had read all the google reviews first. I would have turned them away at the door. I think they get a list of sold houses and prey on folks who are in a hectic time.

Horrible company. Signed up for a year, quarterly treatments. Terminated our contract at the end of our year. Came out and charged us a 5th time because it was the end of our contract. Called again and terminated the contract. They showed up AGAIN the other day when we weren't home, treated, and billed us a 6th time. Called to dispute and cancel for the third time, but supposedly the supervisor is the only one that can cancel it. Can't get the "supervisor" to return our call and are stuck with this second $115 charge after we canceled our contract THREE TIMES. The treatments never really did anything anyway...STAY AWAY!

This company came out 6/20/18 for my initial spray. I called and complained because I was still having issue. They came out on 7/6/18, and 8/7/18 and I still continue to have these issues. The pictures below are from 8/15/18. I called today and asked for a supervisor and I was routed to a voicemail. When the sales rep cam out he stated all my neighbors were signing up due to the pest issues in the neighborhood. Which wasn't true. I continue to pay for a service that they are not providing and if you tell them you don't want the service they bring up the cancellation fee but cant resolve the issues they are being paid for.

So far, so good! The customer service representative Jeremy who got us started was very helpful and thorough in providing us the information we needed to switch services and what Evergreen could manage for us. We have wood siding and a ton of exposed wood on our property and carpenter bees have become a problem. Our previous service wouldn't cover the bees, but Evergreen assured us they could help. Eddie came out to the house today and was very prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. I have a feeling he will be up to the task and able to help us out with all of our pest control needs. I'll upgrade to five stars when I'm sure the carpenter bees are gone next Spring. If things go as well as I imagine they will, I will definitely tell friends and neighbors about Evergreen.

Requested organic products only - informed sales person I am pregnant. Informed tech I am pregnant. Find out via email they did not use organic products in my home. Called to complain. Manger (Priscilla) laughed when I informed her about my quite serious concerns for the health of my baby, then said "well, what do you want me to do about it?" Her lack of concern can not be overstated. Stay away from this company.

Dishonest salesmen going door to door in field without Chesterfield Police issued permits. It appears that salesmen are going door-to-door illegally without proper solicitor permits from Chesterfield County and deceiving residents. To the management of Evergreen Pest Solutions: you have a major problem that is causing a rapid spread of negative comments of everything from salesmen using scare tactics that other neighbors are getting pest treatment causing pests to "migrate"come to their homes to use of fake pesticides. Some of it may be true and some maybe exaggerated rumors. The multiple neighborhoods on the Nextdoor website are seeing reports like this. In one case, a salesman told a resident that her neighbors have gotten pest treatment. When asked which ones, the salesman was caught in several lies by the vigilant neighbor. I strongly suggest you temporarily halt your door-to-door salesmen and apply for solicitor permits from the Chesterfield Police Department as well as sales and sensitivity training to avoid being caught in lies by prospective customers. It will take some time to rebuild your reputation, but it will be worthwhile if your underlying product is good.

I wish they were more organized and were more professional. We had unforeseen circumstances and needed to terminate our contract. I emailed and called many times with no reply expect to tell me via email to call the office. The office never actually answered the phone. Finally a month after my initial phone call, I receive a call from someone who tells me they are the owner. They are surprised at the lack of follow through and assure me they will terminate our contract. Today I see that never happened. Our card was charged again as if our conversation never happened. I’m extremely disappointed and don’t recommend this service.
