A solicitor from Reliant came to our house at 9:15pm (after dark). This is unacceptable and completely disrespectful to our family which includes dogs & young sleeping children who were all disrupted by this man. The man was not well kept in appearance which made me uncomfortable as well. After contacting the police to ask about this we found solicitors are required to have a permit and are only allowed to solicit during the hours of 8am-8pm. They confirmed that Reliant does not have a permit to solicit. We've contacted Reliant about this and requested to speak with the supervisor as well as the owner. We could only leave a message for them to call back and haven't heard from anyone yet. It's their business to know about the requirement of a permit and to train their staff not to visit homes after 8pm to solicit services. This is very unprofessional and not what I consider good business practice. Furthermore there were 9 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) 6 of which were closed with the customer still being dissatisfied. There are plenty of great pest control services in the Austin area. Don't trust these guys.

Nonsense service, spray water, unable to kill roaches even inside the ziplock bag. Roaches lived for 15 days in a ziplock plastic bag where I requested the service guy to spray in. I request all of their customers to try same thing: catch some roaches, put them in a ziplock bag and ask the service man to spray in; the roaches will not die for 15 days. They never share service managers' contact. office staff can do nothing. Although they guaranteed their services on paper, they will never refund even if they can not fix. They are commercial, not specialized in service. They are legal scam.

I did not mind the sales guy coming to the house, but the actual pest service its not good, the bugs keep coming and coming, the first service they did not cleaned the spider web or the wasp nest, when i called to cancel they came with this “agreement” that i signed, they sales guy told me it was no contract service, never mentioned anything about an agreement, now i have to pay $100 to cancel that, they have this warranty thing, they emphasize in this warranty way to much, “we will come back and fix it”, I work in the customer satisfaction area too and it’s your job to the right thing the first time. Not recommended, screw this big companies.

They were passing out fliers in my neighborhood and I found one of their employees in my garage. By they time i called the police they got in a car and drove away. you cannot trust this company. Talked to the office manager about this instance and she called me a liar and said her employees would never do this. She said I did not see what I saw. DO NOT TRUST this company!!!!

Called to tell them I found another service and would like to cancel, they agreed after some discussion to keep me as a customer to which I declined. They come back out the following quarter at which point i tell the technician I canceled their service, they charge me anyways and say it's under contract. Second time I call to cancel their service they tell me I have to pay it off which is more than the contract itself. I pay the rest of the contract off that day. Now here they are charging my card again for a service I have canceled and now they have double charged me... Do not get service from this company.

BEWARE!!! We signed up with Reliant in April based on the "no contract cancel at any time if you're not satisfied with your results" information given to us by the sales agent Matt Mikulecky. It was downhill from the beginning - we were not given a date when the service technician would treat our yard until the day he came out; despite promises of a reminder call. We also noticed the treatment was substandard compared to Home Team, our previous pest control team. The next issue came when we decided to cancel or services. We were informed that it would be a $160 cancellation fee to break the contract. When we informed the manager, Angela Carter, of the information we were given by Matt she balked and said "I know how they're trained, they would never say that." Not only are they a poor pest control company but they lack customer service and moral standards. We will be going back to Home Team.

A salesperson for Reliant came to our door and asked about treatment. We had just moved into our home and we had ants inside and a lot of ants in the backyard. He said that they would be in the neighborhood on Saturday and could do a treatment. Great news, one less thing my husband would have to do. Very friendly salesman and we ended up talking about many things including me having lived in another part of Austin that he was interested in living. The treatment price was $50, which I thought was great because we had previously used another well known pest control company in Austin who charges quite a bit more. He told me where to sign and I gave him the credit card information. He had told me that someone would check back with us in 2 weeks to see if our ant problem was solved. The guy who came to do the treatment was on time, and very friendly. Treated inside and outside of the house, told us we could see more activity and to let them know if we had any issues. I never heard back from anyone from Reliant, so three weeks later I emailed them saying we still have ants and we were told someone would check in with us. Had a quick response back on having someone come back out. Met the treatment guy in my driveway, told him we still had ants in the backyard, he said no problem I'll take care of it. After a while I didn't see him and looked out my window and his truck was gone. Would have been great to have him let me know he was finished. When my husband came home he gave me a bill. Apparently the guy who did the treatment couldn't be bothered to ring the door bell. I was shocked when I saw it was a bill for $92. My understanding from the sales person was that Reliant would come back out free of charge. Today I checked my email and Reliant charged my credit card for the service. I called and spoke with a woman who had me speak with the manager. He was quite rude, denied that I was told that someone would come back out, even though I emailed the person who set up the second service and I clearly stated it. He said that I signed a service agreement and authorization for use of our credit card. I told him that I signed where the salesperson told me to sign and I thought it was for one time treatment. He said he would nullify the service agreement but would not credit the $92 back to my credit card. I told him that if I had known I was going to be charged I would have had someone else come out. Didn't matter, so I let him know I was going to leave review on Craigslist, that didn't matter either. So now I'm out $145 and still have ants in my backyard.

We have entrusted Reliant Pest with our home for going on three years and could not be happier! Everyone is so nice and always respectful. If they say they will be there they will, if they say they will do it, it is done. We have had other services but canceled after problems. Love their routine bug and MOSQUITO spraying. Thank you Danny and Shai for your great hard work in this HEAT! Wish all other home services were as trustworthy as Reliant!!

These people are the worst. Constant solicitation. Literally every other week someone leaving litter around my door and knocking to solicit business. One time it was two different people on the same day! Despite numerous requests to be removed. I would never even think about doing business with a company like that.

We have Reliant Pest Management at our home in the North Austin area for about 2.5 years now! When we first called Reliant out to service, we had roaches everywhere and a terrible mosquito issue. We signed up for both the bimonthly pest control plan and monthly mosquito service. The results have been great ever since! It is all very affordable as well! I would recommend Reliant to anyone moving to Austin or the surrounding cities!!

I specifically put a no soliciting sign on my door to keep door to door sales people from ruining my doorbell and waking my baby. A salesman from Reliant walked right up to the door and rang the door bell waking my baby. When I answered the door he started with his pitch. When I stopped him and said no thank you he said he had been hearing that same thing all day. I said the no soliciting sign should have told you all you needed to know. He looked at me at said "yeah well everyone has one of those. They don't really mean anything". In Killeen, TX they do. He was breaking the law. Try and call this company.... it's impossible. No one ever answers the phone. Instead your are forwarded over and over agin to a recording to leave a message. Terrible garbage company!!

They are always on time, the rep is always pleasant and helpful, and if I have any concern between treatments they send someone out right away at no extra charge. They do great work. They even put a note for the rep to close my gate tightly each time they come so my dogs don't get out. I truly love this company and appreciate the outstanding service.

One star for scamming and lack of professionalism. When the door sales guy came up he was actually very nice. The problem began when the roommate signed “for permission for an initial spray”. A separate pest company I chose happened to come at the same time as Reliant and Reliant said “sucks for them cause they already signed a contract”. It turns out the roommate signed under the guise of an initial spray but the document provided was a contract for two years. Exercised our right of cancelling contracts with door to door sales within 3 business days under federal and state law and haven’t heard since. Fed up with rude unprofessionals coming anywhere near my home.

Poor Service, leave multiple voice mails, emails and msg to cancel the service but they never call me or response to my email since the 31st. Finally I got a call from them today (August 5th, current customer always got transferred to voice mail so I have to pretend as a new customer and someone answer my call within seconds!) to cancel the service but i have to make the payment for their service on July 31 which make sense, but what surprised me was I got charged for a past due finance charge! How is that possible for them to charge me a past due fee just 5 days after the last service? This doesn't make sense to me! Now I have to call them tomorrow to make sure they are cancelling the service!

While I do see a lot of negative reviews, I personally do not have one complaint. The office staff who answers the phone always are so caring and scheduling is easy and happens within a day or two. Each tech that has come to our house has been exceptional too and very thorough. We live in a new community so it will be a constant uphill battle with bugs, but needless to say I've called them three times this month and each time they've come out right away and treat anything I ask.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this business. If you get on someone's bad side they will set you up. I promise you will be out the door for one little thing you do wrong if you do. They barely train you and expect you to know the entire handbook. If you have no other choice but to go here, you better not be willing to stand for anything. You better be a dog on a leash. Do as your told, get stepped on and looked over. AS a former employee In Austin,Tx i would say they are a seriously a cruddy company. They do not care about you or your personal life. It's really all about how much revenue you can bring in and how many accounts you can service on a particular day. They give you vacation time, but of you want to take it, it is up to you to restructure your accounts in order to take the time off. So imagine if you want to take a week off. You end up working your tail off the other 3 weeks and putting in extra days to get the work done. There is NO ONE to help you! Everyday of work is mandatory even if you have 18+ stops in a day! Each stop can take about 15min-1hr+ not including drive time! Only 24 hrs in a day people! I Wouldnt recommend a Butler from Wisconsin to this branch or anyone! Family is so called important to everyone well only if your management. Your work is never good enough, branch manager is very arrogant and is all about controlling employees. If you speak your mind your being told your negative, or being told if you should decide if pest control is for you. This branch will always have a turn around with employees until they get the right management in there that will actually do some work instead of delicating it. Pros: Decent pay Cons: Micro-managing and long hours and no family life Poor management, too stressful for the pay

A sales man came by the house and offered us a good deal on the pest control. We decided to go ahead and enroll on a year contract. 4 months later I still have an issues with spiders and others pest around and in my house. Customer service was not helpful and the sales person lied about “just call and we will come over and spray again for free, month after month”. I canceled my service even tho I was forced to pay an early termination fee for services not rendered as promised. I will not use them again and will warn others of their bad practices. Spiders where still seen after two days of spraying.

Realiant is a great pest control company, with awesome customer care. I needed to change my appointment and Savannah helped me and was very sweet. I would recommend bi-monthly versus quarterly. A week before my appointment (3 months from last spray) there were a few bugs, but barely. I don’t think any company can hold off bugs for more than 3 months. So I’d definitely go with Bi-monthly. It’s worth it, and way less worry.

For the last week a guy from Reliant has come to our door and stated that he just signed up our neighbors and sprayed their yards. 3 times this has happened and 3 times he was told we have a company we are happy with. My question is, if they are so great why do my neighbors need their yards sprayed 3 times in one week? I know telling someone that they signed their neighbors is a ploy, but seriously don't they write it down for their other sales people to see what was said the first time? I am so annoyed with them, I get once coming to try but 3 times? Nope to this annoying company and their shoddy sales tactics.

Our routine maintenance today went very well. He did our interior and exterior. Cleared up all spider webs and sprayed entire yard along with knocking down wasp nests. He even found more hidden places for spiders like under our grill. Looking forward to our next visit.

Our neighborhood has signs posted no soliciting and your rep is calling on my house at 7:30 pm . Please refrain from going into neighborhoods that have posted signs with regards to solicitations. And I called the Bexar County Permit and Sheriff's Department and your permit does NOT extend to the county. And any person trying to come into my home or raising his voice and arguing with me on my porch will be met with a Sheriffs officer. And arguing with the homeowner is a sure FIRE way to NEVER get business. Highly unethical behavior.

When I write reviews for businesses purposes is to inform people of the good businesses and the not so good businesses. So, from my own experiences I like to help by telling people the truth about the business itself. Today I had an exceptional visit from Reliant Pest Management out of Austin, Texas. I had a fire ant application done on my lawn and a pest control in and out of my home. The two young men that came to my home was very professional and business oriented. They explained to me the process of the work they was going to do, and what it contained, alone with directions on how to water my lawn after the application was finished. These guys was very respectful and courteous the work was done in a complete professional manner. Reliant Pest control has been my choice for a very long time and it have worked great for my home. Now I have to say to the two young technicians that came out "Thank you again Ty and Jared for a great job that you guys did on my home today.....you guys are the best."

The sales rep and the servicing rep need more training for sure. The sales rep just cares to put you on the first $20 service so you never cancel thereafter due to cancellation fee charges. The servicing rep carries a hand pump which leaks. I am pretty sure there are good professional sprays to use for the inside. Who would like a leaking hand pump in the inside? When you ask to cancel, they get rude with you and tell me they don’t trust that the pump was leaking!!!! Fortunately I got it cancelled in time. I hope you guys have a better experience dealing with them!!!

We have had Reliant pest control services for about 3 treatments now and we have not been happy. We have used other pest control companies in the past and we have more bugs now than with other companies. We are also used to other companies spraying inside - but these tech's just come spray outside and leave. We have not called to specifically request inside service, but we are used to others doing it automatically and we didn't have to request it special. I called to cancel and was told we are under contract for 2 more services. I didn't want to continue with a company I am not happy with - and they wanted to charge me $134.00 for the "discounts" they gave me on the previous services. Their "discounts" were only to match the price I was paying with previous companies. So basically they were overpriced, had poor service, and then charged me their high prices when I wasn't happy with the service. I paid it just to get away from them. What does that say?

We ended up deciding to use Reliant a few months back when we first moved into our house because we needed a pest control company and they were going door-to-door in our neighborhood at the time. They offered the first service for $40, “no contract, cancel at anytime.” As soon as summer hit and it started to heat up, we found the service did not work AT ALL. We were constantly finding spiders and crickets in our house, even after the free second service since it wasn’t working. My husband started doing it himself and the problem stopped. Well, I called to cancel and they are saying we owe $100 from the first discounted service because we are under a service agreement (sounds like a contract to me). Our neighbors used them as well because they went door-to-door on our street and they are also having problems. Also, them asking us to pay an additional $100 from the first service is a TOTAL rip off. My husband bought all the material to spray and the insecticide, and a bottle of the best insecticide that will probably last a year was way cheaper than what they are saying the first service was supposed to be. I don’t recommend them.

Pushy salesman that asked me to sign a blackedout clipboard to allow them tk do one service to see how I liked it. Next thing I know I am im a yearlong contract. Unethical liars. After paying nearly $90 per service. They now want to come back by monthly for services you should only need 2 times per year. RIP OFF. AND FINALLY. Their sales person has been in our neighborhood for the last week and has come to our door everyday. We keep telling him we are not interested but then he comes back the next day. Do you understand that no means no and if you keep bugging us like this it is harassment and you will NEVER get our business. Not to mention, our entire facebook page for our neighborhood has been talking about how much of a pain your sales person is and you will be lucky if you ever get business out here. Not to mention, our subdivision has a no soliciting sign that we all voted on because we do not want people selling door to door here. Please get your sales person to leave us alone. The sales persons name is Matt Mikulecky.

The Staff , both in the office as well as the field technicians, are very courteous and professional. They call to remind you of your appointment the day before and the technician also calls when they're about 30 minutes away, just to make sure that there are no problems with your service. The office also asks How Did We Do? By email the next day. Overall, excellent customer service and great pest control , at a fair price.

Not recommended!! We were told that if we weren’t satisfied, the person would come back out at his expense which was the case. We continued to have bug issues and since we decided to move, we tried to cancel before 30 days and go back to our prior service until we moved. According to the sales rep, we could cancel before the 30 days as long as we paid for the first treatment, only to find that was not the case. There was a $100 cancelation fee which we paid just to be rid of them and the hassle that went along with it. If we haven’t moved yet, we couldn’t provide proof of address and payment was due now. Lesson learned, if they come to you, don’t answer the door. Get a written guarantee first before signing. Service was not effective anyway.
