They are reliable, have a good relationship with my clients that they service, and always are willing to go the extra mile for emergency situations or just to simply explain the characteristics of certain pest. I have never given them a pest related request that they couldn't handle. They are also easy to work with and are always friendly. I recommend them to everyone I know.

I had an excellent experience with J&J pest control. The first time they came out, the technician tried to resolve the issue with the least invasive measures (which I appreciate). When it sadly did not solve the problem (and while still under warranty from the first treatment), they were more than willing to come out and try again with a bit more firepower, and that seems to have done the trick so far. There was no up-selling even attempted, just friendly, prompt (they called 30 minutes before coming and were there on time), professional service.

J&J Pest Control seriously saved me! I moved into a new house surrounded by trees a month ago, and the minute we moved in we were seeing 3-4 enormous tree roaches a day in our kitchen. Our property management company had a pest control company come out and spray twice, but it didn't work. I called J&J pest control and the technician was right on time and sprayed everything carefully and took his time. I haven't seen one live roach since. I used to see them crawling outside our door but never see them there either. I am so relieved thanks to them!

J&J is a great company to work with. We do property management and they have exceeded our expectations for our contractors. We have used some of the other local companies but when it comes to a company that will show up when they say they are going to, follow up without us having to ask, and be super friendly to our tenants J&J leads the pack. They are fairly priced and the whole staff is very friendly. We do the majority of our scheduling with Monica and Joan and they are wonderful to work with. From bed bugs to termites these are the guys that you should trust to get the job done.

I had a bird problem in the exhaust pipe leading out from my bathroom fan. My home warranty company uses them so I don't think I had a choice about whick company came out. The first guy they sent out said he couldn't find anything. He mistakenly said that the vent from the bathroom lead out to the attic above the garage, and ignored me when I said that didn't sound right. If he'd just bothered to get up on a ladder and lift the flap on the external vent cover he probably could have seen the nest without a flashlight. The second person that came out was a woman, and she seemed to really know her stuff. She made it clear to me that the warranty wasn't going to cover the extraction of birds, and instead of charging me she just told me how to do it myself for free. I learned a lot from her; she was really awesome, unlike the first guy (who seemed confident, but was just lazy). Luckily, the nest wasn't finished being built, and there were no eggs in it. Apparently there are some restrictions in Austin protecting the nests of certain birds, and you're not supposed to remove a nest if there are eggs in it. Long story short, if you want to use this company, ask for Becky.

I was over-run by fire ants and just couldn't kill'em!!!! So I found J&J on the internet and gave them a shot. When I called......the lady that answered was very nice and knowledgeable about fire ants and stated that I don't have to worry that she would send someone out as soon as she can. When the technician arrived he was very professional and also very knowledgeable about the fire ants. After a fairly quick assessment he quickly went to work. After he was done he said it would take a couple of weeks to completely solve my problem. Within days I noticed an improvement and within a couple weeks the ants were completely gone. This is a great company and highly recommended. A++++

I was referred to J&J by family who also had a good experience. I called them out for a problems with roaches and acrobat ants. The service was timely, professional and, I think, competitively priced. Mike answered all my questions about the pesticides, alleviating my concerns about exposure to my family. The ants are already disappearing, and the only roaches I've seen are dead ones (the best kind). I've never used an exterminator before, but I would definitely use J&J again.

Total rip off. I used J&J for years and never realised what a rip off they were until I went come place else. Why did I switch? I had a rent house with rat problems. They wanted $160 to set traps plus $60 / month to replace the bait. The tenant called & said the problem had gotten much better but there was a rat inside the house. I call J&J and they want another $160 to take care of the rats inside the house ON TOP of the $60/ month they charge for the 15 minutes they spend changing the bait in the outsiude traps. After spending ~$5000 with this company over the past several years I would have expected a little customer appreciation. Monica at J&J does not give you an inch. Save yourself some agravation and avoid J&J. After calling around I found that this town if full of people who will take care of rats inside and outsiude your house for a one time charge of $75.

We went with the Termite Control Protection Plan per the recommendation of our real estate agent. Seemed like a good plan of action considering the prominence of the subterranean termites in the area.

I moved to Austin 5 months ago into a really old house in Tarrytown with tons of trees surrounding the house. I almost broke my lease because I was finding giant roaches in the house on a daily basis. J&J Pest Control has been awesome coming out monthly to help me keep the pests under control. They even set traps and explained how the roaches are getting in so I could have my maintenance fill in wholes and replace weather stripping. They really go above and beyond.

I am a competent and ambitious DIY'er but after a month of not being able to pinpoint the entry/exit location of a rat living in my walls I called J&J. The gentleman that came was VERY knowledgeable and within minutes pinpointed the trouble spot. He then proceeded to inspect the entire outside of the house (including roof) and the attic and gave me lots of great info and advice all for no charge! This kind of service definitely wins my business should I ever need pest control service in the future! Give them a try, you have nothing to lose!

I have used J & J Pest control for the past 10 years for various pest control issues, They are always very responsive, Monica and the rest of the Office staff are very helpful and schedule any treatments I may need as quickly as possible. The techs are excellent and the price is reasonable. My only minor complaint is they like to give a cable-company-esque 4 hour time window, which is dated and inconvenient. They will do call-aheads at least.

This is the second time we have used J&J and have been pleased with the service both times, however this time something special happened. I am a Stay-At-Home-Dad with an 8 month old, and about 10:30 I called to see if they had an updated time for the technician, as we had a service window (which I completely understand) and my daughter's nap was pretty soon. I was told that they would be about 40 minutes, which worked out because I put her down 10 minutes before he was supposed to be here. Then, at the door, I heard the softest knock. When I answered, Dwayne was there. I told him thank you for knocking softly and he said that the dispatch had told him my daughter would be napping, and he didn't want to wake her up. He also was extremely quiet as he was treating her room where she was asleep. I was very touched by his thoughtfulness and wanted to share that with all of you. I will definitely call J&J again.

First time I used J&J this past week, and they were great. They came out and treated my home. They were able to setup scorpion traps, spray the solution which did not harm my small puppy, and even went outside and knocked out some wasps nests. They obviously care about their customers as when I got the bill, they waited in my home while I downloaded a coupon, printed it out, and then adjusted my bill on the spot. They are even coming back out to treat the outside since our original visit was during rain, which is convenient for me so I wont have to take off from work. I will definitely use them next quarter for treatment.

Finally someone that could identify my pesky drain fly infestation! Call them asap if you find your house crawling with little humpbacked skittering gnats! They are Phorid Flies and after talking to several plumbers these folks finally identified what I had which led me to the source! Now they're coming after the rats in my attic!! A true Austin treasure!!!
