I gave one star because zero is not an option. I've used them for many years, trusting them to let me know what is going on under my house, as well as for spraying outside the home. This year, after the termite and wood destroying organism check, the tech went to his car and stayed for a long time. Finally, he came in, and told me that mold was rampant on the subflooring and even ground. He, and another person I had check it, told me this had been going on for years. The tech was apologetic. He and the manager came back a couple days later, and instead of offering even an "I'm sorry " the manager slipped a proposal over to me in the amount of nearly $5,611 for vinyl and dehumidifier installation. Half of my home's floor, from subflooring is affected and will have to be replaced as far as we can tell. Their gross negligence in informing me of the problem last year is going to cost me for tearing out 5 year old wood flooring, sub flooring, installing all new. This will be very costly. Beware!

DO NOT use these people! They are horrible! I've had two inspections in 2 months due to the closing being delayed and these inspection letters are only good for 30 days. When the 2nd inspector came.....he found an entire list of things wrong that has made it impossible for us to close this sale! The first inspector found NOTHING....therefore we proceeded to put a new roof on the home ($4000) along with other repairs we agreed to do for the new buyer. Why the 1st inspector found nothing, and the 2nd inspector found MULTIPLE things....and was incredibly RUDE to me when I brought this discrepancy to his attention. NEVER NEVER NEVER use this company! I don't even think they deserve 1 star...but it won't allow me to give them a negative rating. Please.....save yourself the aggravation and find a different pest control company. These people do NOT deserve your hard earned money.

I moved from Augusta last year. Twice I had to call and ask why they are still deducting funds from my bank acct. They apologized and issued me a refund. After the second time I asked that they remove my bank information from their records. They stated they did. They just charged it again for another $90 this month. They lied to me and have no idea how to run the business. During the time they were servicing my house, the bug guy would never call and show at random times. I suggest a more reputable company. I have asked for a manager to call me to let me know what we need to do to ensure this never happens again and I still have not received a call and still not received the refund for the third time they charged my acct.

I called this company seeking advice on a mouse problem in our walls, and was assured over the phone that the company can assess entry points, level of infestation, and that they would never use poison for a mouse problem. This was inaccurate on all counts. The professional who arrived to our house did find mouse droppings, but lacked the knowledge to accurately assess the problem and seemed disinterested in assessing entry points. Then he suggested throwing poison at the problem. This is a lazy and insufficient solution and can be more expensive in the long run, as well as posing risks to helpful wildlife and household pets. If you go to a true professional, they will recommend NEVER using poison on mice, diagnosing and dealing entryways (exclusion) alongside trapping. Disappointed I wasted time with this company, and disgusted at their irresponsible and poorly informed advice. We found an expert company out of Columbia who specializes in wildlife pests and confirmed that the advice received from Borden would never resolve a mouse problem and would likely create bigger problems.
