The receptionist was very delightful as well as professional to work with. After she found out what the pest was I was transferred to Jon, the inspector for Family Home Pest Control. He is very knowledgeable about all kinds of pests and he advised me about the kind of ants and spiders I had in my home. Nice guys, but they didn't take the initiative to fix issues, but rather suggested this is what I should do. I wanted them to do these preventive measures, but that did not seem to be their interest. I called Family Home Pest Control at 4:50 pm after seeing a live rat in my toilet in my basement and freaking out. I didn't expect anyone to come out that day, but called to set up an appointment. Brandon showed up at my door at 5:30 (the office closes at 5:00). I was shocked and delighted to see him. Although the rat had escaped back into the sewer, Brandon did his best to catch him, and cleaned out the fecal matter that the rat had left behind. He then did a thorough inspection of my basement and the outside perimeter of my home. He showed me the rat holes, set up the traps and answered all of my many questions. He stayed 2 hours, which was so amazing, especially as it was after hours. It was a huge relief to know that a professional was taking care of the "rat issue".

We had yellowjackets starting to nest in our dryer vent outside and it was noticed at night after the business was closed. I emailed a request to be called that night and was pleased to receive a callback early the next day. John was able to come out that same morning and was able to fix the problem in the same visit. The yellowjackets are probably pretty angry right now, but we are very pleased with the quick service and the fact they will be gone. We signed up with Family Home Pest Control about a year and a half ago when we moved into our new (used) house. We had lots of little ants in the kitchen, dining room, and garage. Brian, our certified applicator, came out and sprayed inside and out, taking care of the problem. Since then, we've had him out to spray every other month, all year long, which takes care of our unwanted guests. Unfortunately, the current wet weather made the little ants come into our kitchen again today. Brian will be out tomorrow, and I'm sure that we will soon be ant-free again! Thanks guys!

I called 5 other pest controls, and already from the conversation on the phone, I knew this one was the best! Other companies would seem put off by my questions, and even said they'd have to charge me a $95 inspection fee just to come out there and answer a simple question. John answered any questions I had prior to coming, and spent an hour with me on the inspection. He did a thorough, amazing job. I had actually called Terminix the day before to find out if I had bed bugs, and the guy who came out for inspection basically said “well, I didn’t find any signs of anything…but since you’ve been getting bites for over a month, you probably have bed bugs or maybe fleas.” Then he just left after leaving me feeling just as confused as I was before calling him. Desperately needing peace of mind, I called someone else for a second opinion and John did a thorough search and found signs of bed bugs right away! He found signs on the mattress, and he could even identify what type of bug it was based on just the bites on my arm alone. He was so knowledgeable! I felt totally confident that he could get the job done effectively… whereas no way would I use Terminix when they couldn’t even figure out what the problem was. I had the best experience ever with this company. John went above and beyond making sure I had peace of mind, knew everything I needed to do on my end, and that everything would be taken care of. He sprayed my suitcase so that I wouldn’t take bugs with me when I travel (that’s how I got them in the first place…someone had brought them in on a suitcase at the AirBnB I was at). He does 3 rounds of treatment for bedbugs, and after the first one I already felt relief- no more biting! Thanks so much for saving everything! These things were literally giving me nightmares. Thanks for having unbelievable customer service as well...you obviously truly truly care about your customers and that is such a big deal to me in a time where a lot of companies are just greedy! Jon was extremely professional from start of project to finish. I thought I had a yellow jacket nest problem at my place of business when I saw them swarming around in the back of the property. I called Family Home Pest Control and they immediately set me up with a personalized consultation with Jon, who came to my property promptly. He spent time assessing the situation and informed and educated me thoroughly as to what was going on (they were simply foraging for food and my new sprinkler system was creating a mud dauber wasp community that was wreaking havoc in my newly landscaped back yard). Family Home Pest Control was contacted to get rid of the "sugar ants" that infected the home we just bought. They responded quickly, and in a very professional manner have eliminated the ants. It took several visits, but we have not seen an ant inside the house for over 6 months. They always contact us ahead of time to let us know when they will come by each month. Both of our neighbors are fighting ants, but we are not! They guarantee their work and should we find ants inside they will immediately come back and deal with them. We highly recommend their service.

I discovered a yellow jacket nest inside the wall of my home on a Friday afternoon. The hive was inside our bedroom wall, and my wife is allergic to bees.
