I cannot say enough great things about Dan and his company, Dan's Pest & Wildlife Control. First of all, no one wants to have to call an exterminator to come to their house to fix a pest issue. However, Dan's professionalism and knowledge made it a very good experience. We loved the fact that his vehicle was discreet so the nosy neighbors didn't get worried. The yellow jackets in Bend were bad this year. After being away from our house for a good part of the summer because our newborn son was in the NICU, we came back and noticed a few of yellow jackets flying into the crawl space under our house through a vent near our garden hose. We had no idea the extent of the problem until we heard this very loud and scary "purring sound" while we were sitting in our living room...INSIDE OUR HOUSE. We found out later that the sound was the result of the yellow jackets in the nest flapping their wings to keep the nest warm. Scary stuff! These bad boys were not going anywhere this winter because they had a nice and dry, cushy place to live. With a new born baby in the house, we were nervous to call a pest control expert. We didn't want any harsh chemicals used that could get us sick. Dan was very accommodating because he told us that his company uses both non-chemical methods and / or safe products to control pests. We made an appointment for a service visit and then Dan showed up right on time the next day, going straight to work on our infestation. He used a treatment technique which only required a small amount of a substance that is commonly used on dogs and cats to control fleas and ticks. This was comforting because we knew that this would be safe for our family including our dogs (not that we were planning on ingesting this stuff directly but it was nice to know it wasn't something that required a hazmat suit...) It was obvious that Dan was a highly trained and experienced with not only how to control yellow jackets but also other pests. After a few days, Dan came back to crawl under the house and remove the nest after the yellow jackets died off. Holy Cow! Those nasty suckers had been there longer than we had thought. Thanks to Dan we dont have to worry about the yellow jackets any more and if they do come back and make a nest somewhere else on our property, we know to call Dan's Pest & Wildlife Control again. I would strongly recommend him to any of our friends and family.

We have used Dan's Pest and Wildlife Control in our own home and in one of our rental properties. I was lucky enough to call Dan when we had a mouse problem in the attic area of our rental property. He is incredibly thorough, friendly, polite, and willing to explain everything he is doing or needs to do. After his initial inspection he has made 3 return visits, once to install the traps and plug roofline areas where there was potential access and 2 more followups to see if there was any further activity (which has not happened). I contacted Dan after seeing a mouse scurry across my living room floor in the evening. He responded early the next morning. While he wasn't able to come that day, he told me what type of humane mouse traps to get, how to set them, etc., until he could come early the following day. I did as instructed and trapped a mouse that night. Dan showed up promptly at the arranged time, removed the critter and explained thoroughly a plan of action, not only to eliminate any others that may exist under the house, but to eliminate exterior entry points. He went under the house and saw several potential entry points and showed me photos he had taken of them, and how to seal them. He returned weekly for several weeks to make sure the traps set under the house eliminated other mice and sealed exterior entry points. Dan was professional, dependable and got the job done. Dan is professional and knows his stuff. We called him about the removal of a hornet’s nest on the ceiling of our covered deck. He arrived on schedule and quickly determined that the nest was no longer active. He removed the abandoned nest and, with a smile, said, “No charge.” He went on to carefully examine the entire perimeter of our home. Unbidden, he pointed out a few small apertures [i.e. – outer edges of our garage door gasket] where mice would be able to enter. We had yellow jackets swarming for several days around a bush on the corner of our house so we couldn't even walk by that area. Unfortunately (or fortunately), when Dan came the yellow jackets had disappeared. Dan shook the bush and looked all around but, yes, they were gone. I told him he was incredibly good--the bees heard he was coming and took off! Actually, Dan was very understanding and didn't even charge us for the trip to our house which is out of town. Great company. We have been dealing with a mouse issue in our crawlspace and was overwhelmed and desperate for help. We call Dan and many other companies. Dan was the only one to return our call. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to come out as he was booked. However, he spent 40 minutes on the phone with me walking me through everything. Traps to common entry points and how to get rid of them. I hope that everyone has the experience that I had while dealing with a mouse infestation in my home this weekend. You will if you call Dan at Dan's Pest and Wildlife Control. I truly believe he is the Mouse Whisperer in Central Oregon! I frantically called him on a Saturday morning hoping that he could come by the following week to rid my home of the creepy yet adorable mice that I saw running amok on Friday night in my kitchen. He was able to come by in between his scheduled jobs on Saturday to help me out. I was relieved that the issue was going to be taken care of on the same day that I called. On his initial visit he examined my house for entry points and gave me great advice for deterring mice for coming into my house. As he was talking to me a little mouse ran out and Dan was able to catch it in his hands! He then immediately set traps in my kitchen (that went off all night catching 3 more mice). Dan returned on Sunday with another 30 traps and to close up entry points. I can honestly say that this has been one creepy weekend, but Dan is in the process of making my life pest free! CALL HIM!
