We used Natura before switching to Aptive, worst mistake EVER! These guys hyped their product beyond belief. And they have you sign a year-long contract before the first servicing so that you are trapped. Unfortunately, the product does NOT work. Instead of fewer ants, spiders, moths, etc., you are left with an increase in pests. Their response? The product "draws them out" so that they take the product back to their nests. The problem? It doesn't work. They don't die. You're just left being eaten alive by bugs. I cannot stress enough... AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. They pretty much bring the plague to your house. We're currently paying for Aptive services because we are trapped in their BS contract, and also paying Natura because they actually work and it's safe for your pets and family to be around. Update: We were double charged last month and then subsequently charged after canceling our account. These guys are the WORST!!! A terrible product with terrible customer service. Save yourselves the grief. The response from Aptive below was complete BS.

Before any work begins they spell out the basics of the service, time and place, and prices. This is followed up by a written contract for preventative treatment. They were above the board. The technician came at the time frame promised and finished the service within the 30 minutes. The folks were extremely friendly and open to questions. I would highly recommend them for any preventative treatments.

They are okay. However when they give you a time they are going to arrive they are typically late. Today they were supposed to be here between 8-12 they did not arrive until after 1pm. Thankfully I am on maternity leave and I could stay home. I had also scheduled an in home spray and came to find out that we needed to be out of the house for 2 hours if you have an infant under 1. While all of this was fine, I believe there is a big lack in communication. This information would have been good ahead of time.

Salesperson came to my door while I was watching TV with the door open (screen closed) as I had a crazy morning and was trying to relax. Rang the doorbell. I ignored it. Rang the doorbell again. Went over to the screen door, saw his shirt (we already have a non aggressive pest management company that we love), told him "Nope, not remotely interested". Then I walked away back into my house. He yelled after me, "Do you even know what I am here for?!?" and then, started muttering sarcastically about "thanks for your attention" and other things like that, while staying on my porch for at least thirty seconds longer than was appropriate. Wouldn't do business with any company whose representatives act like that.

Seth was the person that came out today and did our first application. He was very professional at every level of his job. He first came to my door and fully explained everything he was going to do and gave me a time estimate. He went about his business and finished in the time estimate he gave. He came back to the door to let me know we had no sign of wasps or yellow jackets and that he had finished and told me if we had any problems to just give them a call. I am very impressed with Active Environmental so far.

I have only had them for a few months so far, so my experience is fairly new. The crew is very customer oriented and are very helpful. Unfortunately, I was still hit with sugar ants, but they did come out to spray inside my home. It's crazy spider season as well and I am hoping that with continued spraying that the webs will be less and less. On a good note, I have zero aphids on my roses!

Missed a lot of spider hosts (not sure of the proper name for them), yet to hatch spiders both on the West and East upper siding of the main structure. Did not treat the backyard nor the Mobile Home structure. Early morning due will show a lot of hobo spider webs.

I was expecting an expert on pest control to come in and evaluate the situation and prescribe the proper treatment for my property but instead it seemed that someone with very limited training and knowledge came out to administer a generic treatment plan with very limited ant treatment inside the house and no viable treatment solution for the mice in the house. The technician seemed to rely on me to decide what treatment was necessary. I'm not really sure what it is that I am paying for, I can do the research and buy the chemicals my self.

Because of having water and flowers in several places in my yard a number of areas could not be treated. The service tech did her best to cover what she could but had I known at the time I was signing up for their service that so much would be left untreated I definitely wouldn’t have signed up with this company. Ask lots of questions before you sign with them

They ignore no soliciting signs and knock on your door anyway. The salesman acknowledged he saw the sign. Don't trust a company that chooses not to respect a simple request.

A big thank you to the Aptive team for GREAT customer service. My service was scheduled on Wednesday 05/15 and I called the office the night before (after hours) to leave a message about an area that had wasp nest activity. I received a call Wednesday morning from a gentleman (did not get his name) and I explained what was needed. He said that it looked like my technician had already completed service. He then said let me reach out to him to see if he can go back and treat the area needed for you. He came back on the line and said that Ken our service tech would go back for us. Had a note on my door from Ken stating he removed the wasp nests from the area requested. I appreciate both of these gentlemen going the extra steps to ensure we were satisfied. Thank you!

I was a victim of Deceptive Trade Practice aka the old " bait and switch" by the young man who sold me a yearly pest control contract. During the pitch he was very adamant to 2 separate people in the fact the German cockroach treatment would be included in the services that were purchased as well as multiple other roaches. In our conversation (which was on his second visit and a second time promising the service to me and someone else) he showed pictures and this particular roach was the first in the line up. Never having bugs before I moved into this rental house I pointed out 3 different ones they could be. He stated they would be covered. He "threw in" the outside treatments of ants, wasps and rodents. I feed squirrels and have 2 young children 4 and 1 so my concern was they could be harmed in the treatment. He assured me they would be safe as neither could get to the bait inside the box and that the rodent would leave to die elsewhere. When Calvin ( the only reason the rating is this high) showed up I was told it would be an additional 249.00 to treat for the German roach which was the type I have and the rodent treatment included the rat traps are the spring loaded type. Well with young children I cannot afford to risk their health due to pests so I agreed to continue with the services. Calvin was compassionate to my concerns and I understand he was not made aware of the services he was to preform as he was under the belief that he was performing a rodent service and a general pest service and was unprepared to preform the agreed upon services. A company that allows a sales representative to verbally promise services to get into a customers home to upsale contract services is shady. I will be having them back at an additional 249.00 to treat my home. BE AWARE! Thank you Calvin for the patience you showed during a confusing frustrating situation. While he was servicing my home a group of neighbors gathered outside to talk. Calvin made it a point to say out load that he did find and removed 4 wasps nests from the awning and treated the yard for pests preventing embarrassment of the services needed inside the home. Had the salesman been as good as the technician the review would be better. Just be sure to write down what is promised and have your salesman sign the notes not assume everything is included when you tap a button on his note pad

This service is a joke we have more ants and spiders than we ever had I have had a hornets nest on my back deck for 4 months asked them five or six times to remove it stills there. Have had them call in sick twice. 24 hour response what a joke I called very disappointed and they said the best they could do was a week. If they would do Half of what’s promised I could live with would never recommend this service to any one

My credit card was charged without any service performed. I called yesterday and was told I will get a call back but no one called. I called again today and was told the customer representatives are busy. This is unethical business practice. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Someone there needs to teach their door to door sales people what "no soliciting" means. It is VERY clearly marked on our front door yet they still knock and try to sell us their services. Wasn't happy with the job. The spider's nest was still in the corner above the front door. I was told the wasp nest above my shed would be taken care of it wasn't. The exterminator was here all of about 10-15 minutes. I won't be using this company again. I've already canceled my membership. Very dissatisfied.

When the technician arrived, there was a lot of confusion over the contract and noted schedule not matching what I had been told on the phone. When I tried to call your office while he waited, I couldn't get through to the proper person. Ultimately, your technician, David, was able to get through and clarify the contract. Also, David did not have his license number with him so it had to be text to him. Other than what I have noted here, I would have given you a 5-star. As far as I'm concerned now that the contract is cleared up, you seem to provide a proper service. Perhaps I can give you an additional review later after you have come back in a month, as scheduled.

Was given one price by the salesman and was presented with a significantly larger cost when we received our bill. When we called customer service to resolve this matter, we were told “we train our sales reps to be forthright and I’m sorry that he wasn’t clear but the terms are listed in your contract”. Be sure to read the fine print because they are banking on you missing the loopholes. We will be returning to Natura once our contract ends because their products work, the service is far superior, and there are no games or gimmicks. I deeply regret changing our service.

His company was performing multiple treatments in the neighborhood offering discount on the initial & quarterly treatment - all treatments guaranteed for repeat treatments if necessary. Majority of my neighbors participated & all service was performed expidiently the same day. My technician, Jason, arrived as scheduled, thoroughly explained the service he was to perform & reiterated my satisfaction was important to them & to contact them at any time. We have had a very hard time with this company. They have come out about 5 times now. We still have the ants and now our established bushes which have been here since we moved in 16 years ago have been slowly dying off since this spray has been done at our home. We are now being charged $200 for cancelling even though we are canceling for the problems listed above. They keep saying they will respray but it is not helping and may be killing our bushes. This seems like a scam to me. Lesson learned do not buy from door to door salesmen. Also, it is very difficult to send the $200 to them as you have to sign in to a portal which I was not given any information about. Also, I was not given a receipt of cancellation or anything so am concerned we may continue to get billed. I will follow up with my bank and the better business bureau. Very dissapointed in this company and would not recommend them to anyone!!!

You guys should be ashamed of yourself if a child answers the door and says there parents aren’t home u should politely walk away... (u would think) but no just got done listening to my best friends daughter tell us all about this man that was drilling her with questions..(HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE!!) she was visibly shaken by this! I will he reporting this to law enforcement! This is so scary that companies allow this! I will do everything in my power to steer anyone I know away from your company! SHAME ON YOU GUYS!

I just really LOVE this company. I honestly just thought that ants were something I had to live with but since I have been using Aptive they are mostly gone. I say mostly because once or twice since I started using them back in 2017, some of those pesky little creatures will show up but Aptive ALWAYS comes out and deals with it! Spencer was the salesman who helped me and he was knowledge, polite and we'll spoken. I appreciate this! Rocky came and treated my property. He was also knowledge, showed up in a timely manner. I expressed the need for gates to be locked on his way out due to dogs and he assured me that would always be the case. I have been using Aptive for a year now... with that being said I am super disappointed with the product they use. It DOES NOT WORK!!! We have giant spiders at our house and it seems that every time Aptive comes the spiders are still around! Shouldn’t we have an opposite affect? I am terrified of spiders and Aptive keeps telling me that their product will take care of them but I have yet to see that happen. I am extremely upset because I have basically thrown hundreds of dollars in the trash for an entire year for this company. Every time I tell my family and friends about Aptive they compare it to pest company’s they use and tell me how happy they are with the results and here I am still dealing with spiders at my house! So very disappointed and upset!!!

Professional, prompt, and friendly. Josh was so great to work with, and worked both effectively and expeditiously (even ran each time he had to get something from the truck). I was a little weary about the way Aptive approached us (knocked on our door, saying they were doing a service at a neighbor’s house), but it all checked out and came in the nick of time, as our kitchen has been inundated with sugar ants. Good price, great service!

Not happy with accounting. We were told our second visit was free since ants showed up after initial spray by person took 2nd appointment and by 2nd service man. Then we saw charge on the card. And now trying to me to understand it was treated as 1st quarter service. I told her, I understand clearly. No one mentioned it until now. I am not happy about it. She basically told me it is what it is. I canceled the service since they are not delivering what they promised.

This is the worst company to deal with. I took up the service and decided to stop the service after a month. I called to the customer service, paid the balance what ever was asked and closed the account. Few months down the line I get a letter from collection agency that I owe aptive 10 dollars with no prior notification of any kind to me. I have been calling them from the past 5 days to resolve this. The customer service folks have the same answer someone will reach out in next 24 hours but none call back. No direct ph no to billing department and folks will not connect if you want to talk to a supervisor or the billing depeartment. Even though I was told I dont owe anything and it might have been a system glitch, no responsibility from anyone to take it to closure. One big mistake I did was even to try the service.....

On Saturday 7/20/19 a door-to-do salesperson violated a no soliciting sign and refused to provide identification or proof of soliciting licence (required by city he was soliciting in). I called your customer service and requested to speak to a manager to report the issue to ensure it does not happen again on 7/20, 7/21 & 7/22. I was given different reasons why I could not speak to a manager. I advised them if the issue was not addressed prior to today, 7/23/19 I would file a BBB complaint on this issue. I have still not been contacted about a resolution to this issue.

After the first paid treatment was sub-par, we cancelled within the initial window, per the signed contract. Months later, after absolutely no contact from the vendor, we received a collections notice. For $10. Terrible communication and deceptive practices.

I'm a new customer. Got my service the beginning of August 2019. First, the sales guy came to the house despite my no soliciting sign. But I was considering pest control service anyway so I allowed it. The tech was nice, but the initial treatment made no difference after 2-3 weeks. I called for them come again in a few days so we'll see. Later I found out that a co worker signed up a couple days after I did, and got the first service for free and follow up quarterly services for $95. I had to pay $50 and $99. We live a few miles apart and have very similar homes with the same problems. I called today and asked them to make that right. They gave me $95 price for quarterly service but just said sorry about the $50. Apparently they only care about some of their customers not all. They could have given me 50 off my next service. They made no such offer. If things change I will update this review. but at this time I cannot recommend them.

Guy knocks on my door from Aptive. While my dogs bark up a storm, he tries to explain that Aptive is in my area flushing about 30 homes for ants. I point to my no soliciting sign at the door and at the front of the house. He says they are only here to warn me that they are going to be spraying in the neighborhood as a courtesy. I ask him to confirm that this is only a friendly warning and he says he wants to offer me a special discount to be involved with the flushing. I again told him that I have two "No Soliciting" signs that he must have seen. He says sorry to bother you and leaves. Totally deceptive tactics and no consideration for signs posted on our property. Literally lies to me to get to his sales pitch. Aptive will likely give this guy a raise but I would never use this company because of this shady, deceptive practice.

Seth did a great job and was really good at customer service. I have a 4.5 month old golden retriever puppy who thought he was here to visit him. I wish I could post the picture I took, because Seth took the time to explain how safe the product was for our puppy, while giving him some love. I am livid! The salesman told my husband they would give us a free treatment to compare to the treatment that our landlord pays for already. My husband signed NOTHING. The treatment did nothing in regards to insects, we continued to have spiders and all other bugs coming into the house immediately after. Two months later, they charged us $89 and sent him an email saying that they had come and done a treatment on our house on a day that I was home all day, with NO NOTICE. I never saw anyone and we never signed a form, not once. DO NOT AGREE to anything unless you want to be locked in and have a mess on your hands!

We have had service for several years. Now this year, we have had a lot of trouble with spiders, some quite large. I have asked for Aptive to come take of the problem, but they have not. No response to my emails and spider are worse not better after their last "service"

Very impressed with the professional service, very well spoken and well trained staff. Vanessa and Lisa made sure we understood everything about the service & what chemical used. I’m really happy we are using their service and feel like it will be successful. Actually, the sales and pest control staff are great. But I have to revise my original post. I am really unhappy with this service. We had our first treatment with no results. I called for a follow up and they were a no show. I then called to cancel the service, was told that someone would call. Never received a call and then they did the regular service again without talking to me. No one has called to say sorry they didn’t show up and no call when I said I wanted to cancel. I still have ants and am now back to treating my own problem with bleach, ant traps and constant cleaning. Not good at all.

First off, your lucky I didn’t call the cops for your interrogating my minor 14 year old daughter!! So, this guy came to my home, yesterday and was trying to pressure us into buying. We said no!! THEN when I was gone the next day the guy knocks on our door and questions my minor daughter why her parents wouldn’t go with their company!!!! Are you kidding me!?!?!? BUT WAIT, It gets better!!! After we get home the company van shows up to spray our freaking house!!! WOW!! NO MEANS NO!!!! ANNDDD No need to respond with the same response all the other one star reviews you get! No I don’t want to text you and I’m sure you don’t want to “look” into this further! HA! What a joke this company is! I will make sure everyone I know will never use you guys! I’m not usually a fan of door to door sales but they showed up at the right time. I had called a handful of local companies that never got back to me. After a few weeks I gave up after taking care of a sugar and pop up myself. They offered a great initial cost and were out the next day. So far so good, they were polite, on time, and I’m excited to see a decrease of spiders and bugs!

Breakdown of my aptive experience: Service techs are very friendly, products used didn’t seem to help with my pest control needs, and the overall reason for the one star review is because of the promotions they use to talk you into service. I was offered a “name your price” service year long promotion. I read the contract after signing it and during the time I was talked into the service I did ask the service rep. what the catch was and he said no catch. They catch is you have to pay $250 towards your total first visit. No other monies you pay (except the amount you decide to pay that day with the “name your price”) count towards the $250 initial visit that they sign you up with. I figured after keeping the service and paying a total of $250 with quarterly visits I will have satisfied my end of the contract and can cancel my year long service agreement. Not the case. I paid $50 on my first visit and they wanted $200 more to cancel, but I have had 2 visits since the first and have paid over $200 dollars on those other visits. The products that they used did not help my pest problem and they are only interested in trying to get you to say yes to continuing your service agreement with them. They ignore any opinions you have and don’t care to satisfy the customers concerns with the ridiculous contract that you go into with them. *Addition to original review: I do not feel the need to text more details; however, the best advice for better service is to NOT have representatives sell you something that it isn't ("name your price" is not name your price, you as a company have decided that it is a year long contract with required quarterly visits, the minimum cost for these visits need to be discussed and a clear confirmation of the understanding that if you cancel the year long contract, you will be obliged to pay up to $250 minus whatever you "named" as your beginning service price) a clear understanding is not for the representative to say to the customer that there is no catch. I of course should have read the contract better before signing it, but I was caught off guard, hands full, and the sales pitch and professionally behavior of the representative won me over. The only way I was able to not have to owe more money in addition to what I had already paid was by telling the corporate manager that I would write a review on google of my experience, so the advice on corporate manager interactions with customers is to understand when they have lost a customer and try to work out an agreement before the customer feels really upset and unheard, because the only thing that the corporate manager could say is, "'well, we don't want to lose you as a customer..." but I had said several times I was done being a customer of aptive.*

This review is not on their product because didn’t sign up for it. Review is on sales person that comes to your door to sell their service. This young kid was extremely pushy on me to sign for the service. I kindly let him know more than 8x that I will be just fine without the service and he kept repeating that “ya you will be just fine with this service”. Got really annoying. Also brought up my kids and wife like he knows what’s best for them as if he cares that much when he’s just a kid himself. Not a good first impression

Door to door sales is a tough job. Connor was extremely polite, knowledgeable and he knew his job! He did an excellent job helping us to understand what all Aptive Environment does. When the tech Joshua came out later, I was shocked at how detailed and thorough he was. Not to mention they gave us a neighborhood deal we could not refuse. Anyone looking for pest control, give these guys a shot!
