We have used Ohio Exterminating for more than 10 years. The inconsistency of operators has always caused a struggle for us. I have to point out the obvious to each and every tech that comes in and check behind them to ensure completion of needed services before they leave. This particular service call found me chasing after the tech to complete the removal of some small insect mounds on the exterior of my home that I had pointed out to him during his surveillance of the exterior. He left a lot of cobwebs on the exterior also even after I specifically asked him to remove them. I have considered changing pest control service companies because of the poor quality of work experienced time and again from OE.

My apartment complex has used this company. We were not left with any information afterwards. We have had a roach infestation and they came to put down some powder. Not even a week later the roaches came back. I am now having to do another full examination with the same company! I just had a roach in my microwave that I have kept cleaned. Highly annoyed that this is yet another issue while I'm in the process of moving to a new place.

Update: After several phone calls and emails, they agreed not to charge us. Buyer beware of seasonal contracts that renew automatically from year to year.

We were having an issue with ants. A representative came out within a day (no charge!), found where the ants were getting into the house, and gave us advice on how to remedy the situation. He was very friendly. He wrote up an estimate for some work in case what he suggested didn't completely fix the problem. I don't think we'll need to use them for the issue, but they will be the first people I call if I need them in the future. Their service was great!

Whether I'm speaking with the office or with the exterminators everyone is always polite and professional the exterminators are friendly they are thorough and they know their business if I have any questions they answer them completely and if for any reason they need to come back because of weather or because I've had to change an appointment they are always prompt they come back at the earliest possible time and they are always willing to work around my schedule. There is not a better company and the bonus is I happen to know that they also service the restaurants in my area and I think that speaks volumes.

Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. It was like pulling teeth to get a renewal contract last year for my termite traps, and next to impossible to get them out to spray around my yard for carpenter bees and ants. I'm not going to keep calling and begging you guys to take my money, I'll just hire another company. UPDATE: After speaking with the owner, and explaining to him that I wanted to leave their company for another I was told that if I left they would rip up my termite traps, costing me over $1000+ to have them replaced by another company. I told him I felt like he had me over a barrel, which left a very bitter taste in my mouth and I'm still upset they never sent anyone over last year to take care of the carpenter bee and ant problem. He went ahead and said he no longer wanted to do business with me and if I left any further bad reviews of his company he would consider it slander and would sue me. Well buddy, I went ahead and modified my review here and gave you one star from two stars. If you want to see me in court, make it happen. My yard is being over-ran by carpenter bees and ants even though I called you guys multiple times last year, and you did nothing about it. You deserve this one star review from your bad customer service, and treating me like I didn't matter. I'll pay the money to have your traps replaced as long as I don't have to deal with Ohio Exterminating anymore. And one more thing... this is a review site, it's not slander. I am a paying customer and I am allowed to leave reviews, good, mediocre, bad.... It is protected free speech. Sue me at your own peril. You will lose and I will counter for attorney fees, etc. If you think threatening lawsuits will shut me up you have another thing coming.
