Over the year, there have been several sales persons from Moxie and typically they are polite and nice. But this last person was really pushy and would not leave after being told that I am NOT interested. Eventually, I had to just really told him to leave my property for several times. I even have a picture of the person.

Recurring services, cancelation fees, cold calls. Ask yourself this: Why would anyone in central Ohio need year round pest control for ants and bugs? You don't. They offer you a moderately attractive initial offer to get you to sign up for quarterly service calls (two of which you won't need). Don't be duped.

Just had my second treatment and I am very pleased with the service 5 weeks after my first. The technicians who visited my house, Adam Rall and Nate, both did an excellent job. They were very thorough and answered any question I had. The ant activity has been greatly reduced. They have also treated for rodents (chipmunks, mice, voles, etc.) and now Japanese beetles.

I was told that my maintenance billing would not start until I decided that i wanted it to start. Yet when I received the paperwork it indicated that I was going to get a billed service next month. There seems to be a lack of communication with the sales rep and the tech. The tech was not aware of the troubled areas that I had spoken to the sales rep about. Discussion with the sales rep was to treat voles. However, the tech left without treating the voles. Very disappointing.

I received a prompt response and an appointment within a reasonable time frame to have the field tech come back out and this is all at no additional cost to me. Very pleased with the service and care that Moxie extends to family and the quality work they provide. They are very cautious as to where they spray. They are knowledgeable about the product they use. On the exterior of the home the solution is activated by rain, or water. So, far we have been using these Year 2019 and have been very pleased with the results.

I noticed a dramatic decrease in mosquitoes once we started with Moxie Pest Control. We have many trees and a pond, and previously had many mosquitoes! Every person associated with Moxie have been extremely polite and efficient. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars rather than 5 is because the service is pricey.

Terrific work, as always! They are thoroughly professional, taking care to avoid pet areas, and they make sure to let me know what to expect the day before they come out. I'm on a plan to reduce a few kinds of ants, which had been a scourge in the area, so Moxie comes back every few months and re-treats to prevent reappearance. This has worked out really well.

This is a terrible company. I signed an agreement for "pest control services" and, after the first "treatment", we still had ants and spiders (as our original service was supposed to eliminate). They sent a tech out again for a follow up service; again, no change. They sent them out a third time (all the while having people calling me to set up my second of my agreement services) and still did not do anything for removing the pests/insects. The service was also supposed to control stink bugs, which are now everywhere. Three treatments and zero results. I asked them to cancel my contract and they then charged me another $100, that was apparently discounted when I signed up for the service! When I called to find out why, I was told that they would look into it and call me back within 2 hours. it has been a week now without a response. Absolute scam and waste of money. We are perusing this with our attorney. Enjoy it.

I was a moxie customer during 2017. I had switched to a different company in 2018 because they were offering 10-20 cheaper. I have been told that whenever I call customer service on the in-between months that they would come out and take care of whatever problems I had. Well the old company did not want to come out and told me they couldn't help me with the bugs I was seeing, mites. I have been using a service for over 10 years and maybe had someone come out 3 times on a special call. I haven returned to using Moxie Pest control since April. I am more than pleased with their services. TYSON was my service representative and he was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you, Tyson and Moxie

Don't be duped by their sales staff. They will tell you anything to get you to sign up for a year contract. One came to our door to offer services. We went over everything we were concerned about and the treatments they use. This is especially important to us as we have a small child. The salesman, Drew, said they use fog for ticks to cover a large area, and use granules to drive ants off the entire property. This isn't true, they just throw some granules around close to the house and say that's the tick treatment. The guy doing the actual extermination said he had never heard of fogging for ticks and that's not what they do. That's just one example. Now we have to get out of a 1 year contract.

I am very displeased with the integrity of this company. I signed up with a pest control service called green-something, but then someone from moxie came up to me and told me this and that about their service and gave me a lower price. I went with the moxie service and saw even more ants! My own fault for not comparing reviews first. Not only did I get locked in a contract and have to pay a huge cancellation, but after looking up the other company it turns out i missed out on a much higher quality and safer pest service. Very disappointed that this company doesn’t teach their sales people proper ethics in business and I had to pay the price for it.

Whatever you do, do not sign up if Moxie comes door to door to sell to you. I was promised mosquito treatment as part of the package and when I called to be retreated, they said it was an additional subscription (if there are any issues, they are supposed to come back for free). This is the only reason I signed up. When I tried to back of the agreement since they weren't performing the services as promised, they wanted to charge me a cancellation fee. I distinctly asked about cancelling the service when I signed up and was promised there was no cancellation fees. The salesman lied to me about (2) distinct items yet they don't want to own up to their end of the bargain. BEWARE.

Just had our initial treatment this morning. Holly was very professional and friendly. Removed all spider webs and sprayed as I was told she would. The only thing I'm not sure about was that I was told our yard from Street to backline would be granuled for pest and it was done instead about 25ft out from the house . she did say if we had issues they would come back out again. We will see now how well it works.

I just had my second application from Moxie. I had noticed a few carpenter bees making holes in our pergola so I mentioned that to Preston. He found the holes and treated them and the entire pergola also. He also took extra care treating the small fenced-in section we use for our dogs... this hot weather is crazy time for fleas and ticks!! Thanks Preston!

Moxie representative appeared at my doorstep with the usual sales pitch. He was younger with short, curly, blondish hair and the blue shirt with a vendor license. I’ll start by saying I have an appreciation for anyone who has a job in sales. After several firm no thank yous from my end, I found the gentleman to be more aggressive than necessary and starting to make me uncomfortable. During conversation I noticed he parked his Segway (or something similar) extremely close to the inside of my garage, which was open. I had been outside doing yard work and I had just stepped in to take a call when the gentleman knocked at the door. He left and I made my call and back outside I went. Upon my prompt return outside, I noticed our Beats speaker was missing from the back of the trunk - conveniently where he parked his transportation. And while that’s the world we live in these days I was even more disappointed that I emailed Moxie’s customer service through their website to alert them that someone representing them was of concern, I did not hear a single word back in response from the Moxie company. I would hope a company would want to look into this and ensure others are not experiencing this same issue as we were only trying to raise awareness. However, the simple lack of response, well no response, from Moxie says a lot and for that reason alone I would not do business with this company. Update: Moxie has reached out to address the issues raised in this review. Based on my interactions with Moxie, my email may have been an honest oversight from their end. Moxie has provided reassurance that they fully vet their employees, this is unacceptable behavior, and not a fair representation of their organization. Both my husband and I are satisfied with how they have addressed our concerns. We appreciate their ability to be honest and helpful to make things right.
