Moxie Pest Control has helped me with my ant and spider problems extremely well. I have personally found their customer service to be extremely reasonable. When I say "reasonable" I mean that while they are a business and have to stay within certain bounds in order to make money, they are also quite flexible within those bounds. I see that there have been some negative reviews, and surely there will be a technician having a bad day, a misunderstanding or some other mistake. But mistakes will happen with any business. I have found that their mistakes are infrequent and are quickly and satisfactorily rectified. I highly recommend their service.

****BEWARE***** They will scam you using deceptive business practices. We had someone stop by and offer us a discounted rate on our first service if we signed up that day for the quarterly service plan. The catch was that we had to go through with the first service and then we could cancel at any time. We have since had two quarterly services and are not happy with the service. We called to cancel and was then advised there is a $100 cancellation fee. We explained that we were told that there would be no penalty for canceling. We were promptly told that an agreement was signed that stated the fee. Well, the agreement was signed on the sales reps tablet and he stated repeatedly there is no penalty to cancel. (Obviously to get the sale). Discussed concerns with Moxie and they do not care. AVOID! ALSO you will notice below that the owner Ryan Waite left a 5 Star review pretending to be a customer. SCAM Artist!

No one returned my call. But 2 business days later, their calling me wanting payment! Your business must not be secure if that's how you treat new customers.

Always impressed with the friendliness of the office staff, particularly Ms Samantha. I called and paid my bill and Spoke to Samantha, she was so sweet and asked about how our vacation was in January! I was so shocked that she remembered something that was going on in my life. She always answers the phone so happy and you can tell she loves what she does and enjoys talking with people. I am not one to post reviews but I feel like her superior customer service deserves some recognition. I have never had a conversation with her over the last few years that I did not enjoy. We have been customers of Moxie since we first moved into the area 3.5 years ago. They have always been very prompt with service, to include touch-up requests between quarterly visits when we find the odd influx of ants or something. Our most recent technician, Chance, has always been very personable, and takes to heart any concerns and special requests, be it product for certain pests, scheduling, or whatever. I have, and do, highly recommend Moxie to anyone who asks, and especially being in a heavy military community, that is pretty frequent!

Moxie does a good job. I read the other reviews and my opinion is that if you read the contract you sign, then there are no surprises. Yes, they have contracts on their on-going services, and yes they use door to door salespeople, and they really try to control pests. They never overcharge me, they are always on time, and they try their hardest to make sure that I am happy with the service. So, Good job Moxie! And Poo on the negative people!

This company came to my house unapproved without a schedule appointment. Did not wait for me to schedule an appointment. Typically, they treated my garage and other locked areas of my home. They came unapproved without permission for any service, supposedly came to my home walked around the exterior and sent me a bill for $80. The bill doesn't even state what services were performed. It only states "Quarterly." And they "treated" the exterior of my home in the dead winter, immediately after a snow storm in February. They told me on the phone that I was in "breach of contract" because I didn't call them back to schedule an appointment, and their policy is to come out and service homes when "customers" don't call back. Since when can a company can just come to a house and claim they treated it and then bill you? Now they are claiming to send me to collections because I refuse to pay for services unordered. It is unethical to come treat homes without customers permission. Now it's too late I don't want them near my property!

I ended up finding I had a bad pest infestation. Worried sick I thought the best thing to do was call up moxie. Within a few minutes everything had been figured out and Chance had came to my house to deal with everything. Customer service was great, dealt with very quickly, and he couldn't have been any more polite.

Unethical billing practices. Tried to invoice us 15 months after we believed we canceled our service on our previous home. They explained service was only "paused" with our phone call 15 month ago, and that we were contractually required to cancel service with written notice. We explained that we believed the service to be canceled from the phone call in June 2013, but even if the service was just "paused," we never provided Moxie instruction to restart the service. Therefore, the "pause" should still be in effect and the bill was arbitrary and inappropriate. We then provided the official cancellation letter (15 months after selling the residence where the service contract was). Moxie still refused to stand down. Unreasonable and unethical business.

I recommend that when you end your service contract that your get written confirmation from them. They like to extend your contact on forever and require written notice of termination a month in advance. Might want to keep an eye on the technicians too because they'll give you lazy service if you don't keep them honest.

Chance recently came out and sprayed for our second service and we appreciated his cheerful disposition and knowledge of local bugs to be on the look out for. Our neighborhood is still in the process of being completed so we have had a lot of extra bugs crawling around as they have dug foundations and basements. Our initial spray was so great that we really didn’t need the second spray for anything but ants that kept finding their way in when it turned colder. Since chance came last week we have not seen a single ant. We are very pleased with our service!

I have been a customer of Moxies for a little over 2 years, Some of the technicians do an INCREDIBLE job and others do an extremely POOR job. We usually cross our fingers and hope for a good tech when we have a service appointment. We recently had an issue with the Grain valley office where an office worker provided us misinformation at a critical time along with giving an attitude as well, all to find out she was wrong. Because of her error we took care of the problem ourselves but it cost us nearly $100.00. It would have meant the world to me if she went the extra step to get the correct information, but instead provided her uneducated and incorrect information with an attitude. The manager acted as if it was no big deal. The lack of customer service, misinformation and the gamble to get a good tech makes me want to go somewhere else where they treat customers with respect and provide consistent service. I recommend researching other companies in the area before choosing Moxie. Edit: Your response is confusing to me as the above indicated misinformation was regarding field staff stating we could buy product and office staff stating we could not. The manager then stated that we could buy products during a telephone conversation. Your response now indicates that you do not sell products.... this is really confusing... regardless i will buy products elsewhere. To clarify, we were seeking to purchase products as we needed to treat an area in a high location. Your tech carried what appeared to be a 6' ladder and stated he could not access the location. The job was left incomplete so we got a ladder and purchased the necessary products to complete the job. I would have preferred Moxie complete the job but was left with no choice. To confirm, it has been several months since we received poor service. Alex? has been out the last two times and has provided excellent service.

I own The Cotillion in Blue Springs and with the wet season we were having, we were experiencing an increase in unwanted nuances in our venue. It is very important to us to keep a clean environment for our clients and employees. After trying my own remedies I could not eliminate the problem and ended up reaching out to Moxie for professional help. They sent someone out the next day, narrowed in on the issue immediately and not only sprayed for current bugs, but also set up some preventative measures. A few days later, our problem was completely eliminated. I couldn't have been more grateful for their kind and effective service!

We were recommended to Moxie and have been entirely unhappy with our service ever since. They did not explain their pricing or fees clearly and we were surprised with a bill, which once explained, we paid even though we felt it was a bit unfair and unclear as to why it was not explained BEFORE being charged. We were willing to give Moxie the benefit of the doubt that perhaps we had misunderstood and we proceeded forward. We have since had to schedule multiple times for repeat treatments as the product either does not work, is not being applied properly, or both. They advertise free repeat treatments, but having to repeat treatments multiple times only to still have the same problems is not only ridiculous, but an incredibly annoying waste of time to have to being home and plan for in the middle of the work day. Who wants to spend their free time dealing with scheduling appointments and planning to be home for pest control? We have also had billing issues and been told conflicting information regarding our bill more than once and continue to have the same problem. At our last scheduled appointment for a repeat treatment I was told that because I am pregnant they cannot complete the treatment as it is "unsafe" and "against the company policy" to do so. I was NEVER told this during our other MULTIPLE appointments and no employee ever verified or mentioned this policy prior to treating our home even though I was pregnant during those treatments as well. Once again we were left having to reschedule yet ANOTHER treatment after wasting time being available for this one. When I called to inquire why this all the sudden is a safety issue and how no employee ever cared to verify or mention this before I was met with unprofessional attitude and rude, useless repetitive statements that, per the one year contract, it would cost money to cancel and that it is not the employee's or Moxie's responsibility to verify they are following their own safety policies, rather it is the customers job to pay a "professional" to not follow their own safety guidelines and to memorize every line of the contract prior to each scheduled treatment to ensure policy is followed. No apology for the mistake on Moxie's end or acknowledgement of error or lapse in professional judgement. If a bartender is required to check ID prior to selling a drink even though the law states a legal drinking age, why is Moxie not responsible for verifying they are following their own policy prior to treating a home? When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told they were not in even though it was still during normal business hours. I asked for a call back the following day and did not receive one. We called back the next day and no one answered. I called again today and was told the supervisor was not in. I cannot express how unhappy we are to have the misfortune of working such a pathetic and unprofessional company who treats their customers in such a way and disregards their own policies and guidelines at the risk of their customer's wellbeing and then fails to follow up on an issue they themselves have created. I would NEVER RECOMMEND MOXIE to anybody unless you prefer to waste your time and money dealing with people who do not care to provide the service they promise and waste your time and money endlessly with no regard or acknowledgment of the situation.

I’ve been in contract with moxie for 3-4 years almost. I’ve encountered a lot of different representatives, some not so great, some good but none truly compare to Ammon simply because the amount of attention to detail he takes into measure, he makes sure I’m solely satisfied upon departure if not he takes care of it no questions ask and always with a smile. He goes above an beyond, and even under tight spaces to do the job right. Very appealing personality, extremely friendly and courteous. I’m 100% satisfied when I know Moxie pest control sends Ammon out to treat my house. Great company all around! Keep sending Ammon every 3 months please!

My husband and I bought our house a few years ago and the first year all we noticed were the spiders, ants, more spiders, and other creepy crawlers that were either on our property or inside. We woke up one night to a spider in our bed and decided enough was enough! We called up Moxie set up an appointment and are now recurring customers! Guess what NO MORE SPIDERS! A while back I had Moxie come out to do an inspection/treatment, My guy was named Alex Wilder and he was very professional and great to work with. He explained everything he saw ( and didn't see ) and then suggested treatment which was also very reasonable...
