We have always been satisfied with SavATree. They recently removed a 40 plus foot maple tree after we consulted with them . They had thinned out the tree several times. They have also helped treat our evergreen trees because of a disease. It has prolonged the life of these trees. They are very prompt with the treatments. They have helped us with disease treatment, tree/bush pruning, tree removal, and we've just added lawn care services for this year. Last summer, we had an ash tree that had several limbs break. The SavAtree crew of young men were very professional, did an excellent and thorough job of difficult trimming of our Locust trees (over the house roof and chimney), an excellent and efficient job of cutting two other trees down, and cleaned the area to cleaner than when they came. Jonathon Lee was the arborist in charge of the project. He came to my property and thoroughly inspected the site, quoted me a fair price. The work consisted of: 1) Chopping down two trees. 2) Chopping off a tree that was already felled by severe weather, but missed my house by a few feet. 3) Cable work to add stability to a large cotton wood. 4) Overseeding/aeration/weed treatment of lawn. The loggers came to my property on the assigned day at the time they said they were going to arrive and finished the work without any fuss. The lawn has been mostly fixed up. Savatree did great work.

A tree fell on my garage during a storm. They understood my predicament and Mike was literally at my home in 10 minutes. The quote was competitive, but then came the real surprise. Their crew is of the highest caliber people you could wish for. Respectful and efficient and they took no shortcuts. Had an bit of a poor experience with SavATree. Earlier this spring I requested them to come over to look a few things around my yard, the big thing being a large tree removal. I received a very quick estimate from them, but it was sadly a bit too expensive for me so I didn't go with them. Weeks later, I receive a call from my wife saying a company is at our house ready to cut down the tree. Shocked, I get home quick and see SavATree is there ready to take the tree down, even though I did NOT make an appointment with them to do so. I figured as long as they were there, I'd suck it up and just get that one tree done. They did, but they did not grind the stump. I called a few days later to see if I could get someone to grind it ASAP and I was told I'd get a call back. Never did. I did receive my invoice for the tree removal however, and after the poor communication I received at this point, I didn't want to pay it until the ENTIRE job was done. I called several more times with the same result. Eventually, 2 months later, I was told I'd have an appointment on a Friday. Well, Friday came and I got an email saying the service wouldn't be provided until I paid my current balance. So I went looking for a different company to remove the stump. Sure enough, next week a SavATree employee shows up RANDOMLY at my house ready to grind the stumps. No appointment, no phone call, and I still didn't pay the balance. Granted, the work performed was great. Had no complaints about it. It was just a poor experience overall as really poor communication made it a frustrating time.

This was the fourth time we have used SavATree for either tree trimming or tree removal. Each time, we have had a great experience with their professional arborist, Guy Carlson. He is very knowledgeable and was able to guide us about when the trees could be trimmed without causing them harm. On tree trimming day, he showed up to work with the trimming crew and show them which trees were to be trimmed and to make sure no landscaping was going to be damaged under the snow. The tree trimmers did an excellent job. They were very mindful about picking up all the trimmings, branches and limbs and careful to maneuver their lift vehicle so there was no damage to our fence nor to the neighbors property. SavATree is an excellent company to work with. We live in a Woodbury neighborhood with lots of old trees and want to protect them but also keep our property safe.

SavATree stood out for their very detailed estimate of work needed and cost for each item on the estimate. They have stayed true to their estimate, their arborist Jonathan has been consistently responsive and very knowledgeable as well as very pleasant, and we finally feel that we are in excellent hands with our numerous tree care issues. We have nearly 2 dozen ash trees being treated for emerald ash borer, numerous spruce trees being treated for damage due to pests and several maple trees which had root girdling issues, all of which have been addressed this year and will be on a regular maintenance schedule. Their pricing was fair, in fact lower than other less experienced companies and with a certified arborist readily available to diagnose problems and recommend solutions, we feel confident with the very pleasant and professional teams from SavATree.

We are repeat customers in the Stillwater area. They are certified arborists and while tree pruning is a science, it's also an art, and their work is subtle and effective. Our trees are an asset on our property and we like to take care of them just like our house. I trust Sav A Tree to continue to be experts that I trust. I've seen poor pruning jobs in my area, and it's sad - it's not like a haircut, those tree limbs are not coming back! Their work is easy to admire and when strong winds blow, I know I'm less likely to lose key limbs on my trees. I have also used them to do treatments on an ailing tree, and they gave me several options and consequently my flowering crab tree looked much healthier this year.

The crew has been out here when its the coldest of Winter days and the hottest of Summer days, always kind and respectful of me and my property, which I appreciate. When a last minute event happened and I needed to get out of my drive way, I asked one of the guys if they could please move the trucks, his response “we sure can” and with a smile! These were 3 large trucks they moved for me, and had to set up again, I was very grateful. I was clearing out the small trees and underbrush from the woods on the corner of my property to make it into usable a space. During the course of doing this however, I created a large brush pile and knew I had to get rid of it. We also had some dead Evergreens and a large Maple tree in the yard we needed to get rid of so I started calling around to various tree companies to get some idea of the costs. Guy Carlson from Savatree came out and gave us a quote for the whole job that was far more reasonable than any of the other quotes we had received. So we decided to go with Savatree and we're really glad we did, not only was the price more reasonable but the service was excellent. The trees were taken out and the brush pile (which was huge by the way) looked like it had never even been there. Giving them 4 stars for now as they're doing some tree treatments that I don't yet know the results. Treatments will be annual for 3 years. I'm hopeful. But I can say, we had a large maple cut down, a large oak trimmed and treated, a small landscape tree trimmed, and a magnolia tree trimmed and treated. Very happy with the work. They know what they're doing, are happy to go over everything in detail, and do the work when they say they'll do it. I can't think of anything I didn't like. The arborist (we have Jon) has been great to work with, and my contact with the people in the office has been equally as good. Prices seem comparable to the other companies I had out. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

He is friendly, knowledgeable, informative, accessible, and responsive to all questions. At our first meeting, he provided a detailed overview of the problem trees with detailed and competitive quote for removal and stump grinding. When I wanted to add additional stumps to be ground, he quickly adjusted the quote for me. The crew provided awesome service. Unfortunately with the recent storm, we had a large tree branch fall on our garage. I contacted Guy immediately for quote on debris removal, who responded within an hour with a quote and plan of action. Within 12 hours of contact, the crew was working on the removal! Last fall I had SavATree remove three trees and trim several others plus two hedges of lilacs. I was thrilled with their work. The workmen were courteous, respectful, and professional, and I was kept informed of their plans as the work progressed. The tree removal was done quickly and efficiently, with precautions being taken for nearby structures, other trees, and our lawn. Cleanup was done as the work was being completed rather than leaving it all till the end, and the result was a tidy work area during the tree removal and a cleaner work site at the end of the day.
