Even though my contract is for $80 a month, they just randomly charge my credit card random amounts like $24.91 for no reason, when I haven't added any new services. I called the 1-800 number, but never got an answer after being on hold for over 19 minutes. I will NOT be renewing my contract, and I would NOT recommend them to anyone. Someone in the company needs to refund the unauthorized charge they made to my account ASAP.

I spent hours on the phone over the course of 3 calls to customer service and twice got disconnected with no call back. Finally got some answers and was told they should not have scheduled a same day appointment, the manager said my location is too far away and they reccomend I use a different company.

I've been trying to get someone local to speak to about this for an hour and all 3 numbers I was given direct me to a recording in Memphis, TN. Save the grief and deal with someone local. We are canceling our contract with Terminex.

It was SO easy to schedule an appointment, but nearly impossible to cancel. My call was answered within seconds to schedule, yet I waited on hold for an entire hour to cancel, and even after I cancelled my appointment, I got a call the next day saying the worker was AT MY ADDRESS for my "scheduled" service! Absolutely ridiculous. Unfortunate.

We also have biomonthly ant treatment and very kind and courteous staff on the phone and technicians. Explained what he will be doing and notified me if there were any changes or signs of new activity. Having them come is so worth the money!

So, my nightmare started about six months ago when the neighbors from hell moved in and brought hundreds of new blood sucking tenants with them. Enter Terminix. They tell us they don't chase bed bugs out, they kill them all dead in the first go. That information doesn't jive with what I know, but ok, you're the expert not me. They also tell me there is no sign of bugs in my apartment yet, something I already knew. So I go through the hell of getting the apartment ready and then return home to what I believe to be a bug free home. A week later I'm waking up with bugs on my freaking pillow. I went nuclear, but of course my landlord didn't believe me and the pest guys says he can't tell what my dead bug once was and there's still no signs of bugs in my apartment. Fast forward to present day, it's now two days since Terminix's second visit. They found my bed infested despite my feeble attempt with diatomatious dust. They sprayed the upstairs apartment, chased them into mine and I spent SIX F'ING MONTHS IN F'ING HELL!!!!!!! I've pretty much lost what hold I once had on sanity and yes, Terminix is A HUGE part of the reason. They should all be drawn and quartered.

He then communicates when he is on his way to the house. Had Terminix come out to quote mouse extermination service at my home. Without even inspecting the interior or exterior of the house, they quoted $11,000 to fix the problem, including $9,000 for new insulation (A drastic option that is rarely needed in any home that notices a mice problem early) and $2,000 to seal any entrances into the house. Sealing the entry points myself with the help of an exterior inspection from another company cost all of $20. Traps from walmart and some peanut butter were another $20. Got rid of the mice in 2 weeks. The prices Terminix quotes are simply outrageous and they will try and scam you for every dime.

The individual who set up the service call was helpful and pleasant. She scheduled an appointment for me and confirmed it. However, the local Augusta office left a message for me on the day of service during a time I had explicitly stated I was not available to "confirm" that I still wanted service (there was no reason to believe that I wouldn't...) and then never showed up. I called within the window that the service was supposed to be delivered and during the time I stated i could be available confirming that I still needed service and left a message for the scheduler in Augusta and also called the corporate office and I never received a call back from either and no one ever followed up.

This company is absolutely useless . I called them on Monday and set up an appointment for them to come out on Wednesday and no one ever showed in the timeframe they gave us. I called to complain and they told me that their employee was running really late and it would probably be another couple hours. The supervisor, Alvin, called two hours after the timeframe to apologize, although we would’ve preferred to have given us a heads up ahead of time that they would be so late. I told him it was too late in the evening and we rescheduled for Saturday. He wanted to apologize and assured that he would be there himself on Saturday. Saturday came and went and he never showed. I submitted a complaint on their website and someone reached out to me to say that the branch manager would call me within 24 hours. It is now been 30 hours and no word. They clearly do not want our business so we will be going with their competitor.

I have had to reschedule 3 appointments because no one ever showed up. I also did not receive a call saying that my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I just found out about it my canceled appointment after calling the customer service line, 10 minutes before the timeline that they were supposed to be at my home. Called Wednesday morning when a hornet nest broke through a drywall ceiling. Terminix couldn't come until Thursday 1-5pm, so I duct tape up the hole and hope it holds. Thursday 5pm, no show, no call. I call *them*, and they say they over-scheduled and had moved the appt to the following Tuesday. This is unacceptable because THERE ARE HORNETS IN MY HOUSE, so they say they should be able to get someone out Friday or Saturday, and a service branch mgr will call by 6pm to say what time. No one calls. So the next day, I call a small local firm, they come out the same day. No luck so far trying to cancel the Tuesday Terminix appt, I wonder whether they will try to charge for service not delivered :-(

As far as our Terminex technician, Peter D. he has been great. Very professional, timely and patient with questions - 5 stars! As far as the rest of the Terminex automated system it has issues - 3 stars. Which is how I wound up at 4 stars. Beware that the appt email you receive could have one date and terminex could be coming on a different date. If the appt. is switched after the reminder email is sent there is no update email to notify you of the change plus why not text instead???? with both reminder and updated appt. changes. As with any company improvements could be made to the teminex automated system.

I called Terminix for a quote and when someone contacted me to discuss the matter you could tell that she was reading off of a script. After she was finished reading her script she asked if I would like to schedule. I explained that I need to speak with my husband before I make a decision and that I was calling around to get quotes. She caught an attitude and said "Oh so you just don't want to schedule or it's just too much money?" I explained that I am married and I speak with my husband regarding financial decisions no matter the amount. She was extremely rude and hung up. The quote I received was actually on the lower end but this correspondence alone was enough for me to pay another company more and to have no interest in hiring Terminix.

They were great up untill they started charging g for services they did not perform. We called them only to end up on perpetual hold. When they did answer they agreed they made a mistake. Even the tech admits he never seviced our home in january. They stopped showing up and when I questioned it they informed me that our account was suspended and we were sent to collections without ever talking to us. So as a result I will contact the collections agency pay it off. I will several all further business with Terminix. I will hire another company to take over pest control. It is a shame though. I had a horrible experience after all these years with Terminix. Please do your research and do not use them.

I have been a Terminix customer for over 10 years. They have always been responsive. Their techs have been polite and helpful. The guy who does my quarterly service always calls me the night before to make sure the appointment time is convenient. This is in addition to the call from their computer. I just called (say 5 minutes ago) to request a special visit. The representative could not have been more friendly and scheduled my appointment for tomorrow. Whenever I need a special service, the tech calls at least twice after the service to make sure the problem was resolved.

I am so upset with terminix and their lies! I was told 90$ to start and 45$ every 3 months. SO I went with them because they were cheaper! Well now they want to charge me over 70$ per 3 months and when I told them that was not the deal they tell me that they need everything in writing. Bad customer service and worse “treatment.” One day after the treatment, our beg bug problem persisted and we called MANY times and each time there was absolutely no response. A technician came to see our house again, and after a VERY brief inspection he declared that there was “NO SIGN OF BEDBUGS IN OUR HOUSE!” Then, why did we keep on being bitten DAILY? Customer service was, in a phrase, was TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO-GOOD and VERY BAD. We called and we were never able to make an appointment at our desired time. Every single time we made an appointment, they did NOT show up and did not even give us a heads-up notice. The absolute least they can do is to call/email/notify us that they were going to be late or couldn’t show up! A lot of times we called them, their so-called “customer service” just hung up on us, giving us frustration and a lot of unnecessary stress. We talked to the manager and the supervisor MULTIPLE times, and did they listen? NO! All I want to say is to give them a lot of hate and look at Google Maps or Yelp or something (their website has thousands of “five-star reviews”) because they are DEFINITELY NOT RELIABLE. Many times Terminix told us to wait for a call, but it never came! It delayed ALL of our appointments. For example, we were expecting a call on Monday, but nothing came! So we arranged for an appointment on Tuesday at 10 AM - 12 PM. Guess what? They NEVER CAME! We also requested for bed bug control for that appointment, but they were sending pest control, which we didn’t need. So we delayed it to 12 PM - 2 PM. They STILL NEVER CAME! We had to call customer service and they just hung up, so we had to call the manager! After an hour-worth amount of debate, we finally somehow managed to cancel the contract and get a refund, but we’re STILL not sure if it even worked properly. If there was the option of giving a negative amount of stars and multiple reviews, I would DEFINITELY do so. So don’t trust Terminix, and do yourself a favor and don’t waste thousands of dollars.

We bought our house a little over 2 months ago and when I started noticing damage to our hardwood floors, I immediately got concerned and called Terminix to come out and give me their expert opinion. Their inspector, Peter Warren, showed up and I showed him the spot I was concerned about. My dog started barking, so I turned my back for all of 30 seconds and when I came back to him, he had a "termite" the length of a bobby pin on his flash light. He said we "definitely" had termites and proceeded to do an inspection under the crawl space and around the house. He could not produce another termite, but claimed we had signs of an infestation and there was probably two colonies. He then walked around our property and told us we had black widows (this actually cost us money because my daughter had a weird bite and under the impression that we had black widows, rushed her to urgent care where they prescribed her very expensive antibiotics just to be safe). He gave us a quote for termite and pest which came to just under 1700. I wanted to shop around, so I booked another inspection with a local company which had great reviews on Home Adviser. My husband in the mean time, did give Mr. Warren his credit card number, since Mr Warren was calling us several times insisting we book them immediately and we had Terminix booked to come out today. After not showing and me having to call them to find out they weren't coming at all, I told them to cancel it, we would just go with the other company. The gentleman came out, I showed him the same spots and he goes "Oh, you know what that is? They nailed down your floors and used putty to cover the nails and the putty is just coming out." My jaw dropped to the floor and he goes "don't tell me that guy tried telling you this was termites." He did a very thorough inspection, told me all of his credentials, which included his training and his current position of pest control at UofM. He assured me there were NO termites, NO black widows and the only sign that he found of termites was an infestation that was at least 10 or 20 years old. The service manager called me and I explained that her inspector lied about termites and that we would not be doing business with them. She assured me that she would take it up with Mr. Warren. He then calls me and leaves a messages threatening that I "better not be making the impression that he was lying" and telling me I had better get a 3rd opinion. My 3rd opinion was booked earlier today and they even said at most it may be beetles and it doesn't sound like termites, but they would come out next week. I then called corporate. The rep, Carolyn, was just ask shocked as I was. She told me "if he found one, he could have found more" and was laughing at how absurd the whole situation was. I understand that this is hopefully not a reflection on the entire company, but we almost spent $1700 dollars on a nonexistent problem because someone just needed to make a commission.

We purchased our property last year and it came with a Terminix pest control service (and evidence of a mice infestation as well), which we opted to continue based on the previous owner's good opinion. So far Terminix seems to be fine for coming out to apply poison and set traps. However, one of the reps suggested that we consider the Wildlife & Pest Exclusion and Control service. The salesman/inspector came out and looked over the house, although he did not enter the attic. He then proceeded to sell me on this terrific exclusion service, where they would "examine your home thoroughly, finding every vulnerability and entry point from roof to crawlspace..... create a detailed plan to secure it.... our specially trained team will execute the plan, patching, sealing, and securing your exterior from foundation to chimney, including roof areas that are difficult to reach." I wanted the product, and paid up front for it. (Unfortunately, I didn't get that product.) My mistake. They sent a guy out the following week to install autovents in the crawl space, for an extra charge. Although he was two hours late, that service was acceptable. The following week, he was to come and do the rest of the exclusion service, i.e. roof and all. He came with an assistant and a ladder, but they didn't get on the roof because they said it was too steep. Later, when we had cold air swooshing down the chimney, we called a chimney company, and they did some sealing and caulking for us. We inquired about the gaps at the bottoms of the garage door seals. The Terminix tech told us we had enough poison to cover the property for 5 years, so it was not necessary. He did straighten the cover on one of the crawl space doors outside, and put a 2" by 2" block of wood to block a small tunnel. About a week later we saw that an animal had dug around the other side of the piece of wood. The other work that this tech did was to spray an ugly orange foam in some gaps around various holes and doorways. He used half a can of spray foam and the entire visit took them about 35 minutes. This is the sum total of work that has been done on this contract. We were disappointed. Later, when we discovered 3 more tunnels under the wraparound deck, and saw a number of small groundhogs at the edge of the woods, we did some research. Apparently we had a groundhog invasion. When I called the Supervisor, Tom Criscuoli, he told me "Ma'am, we're not going to come out and remove an animal from your yard". That was not my expectation. I called the Service Manager and requested service. She was able to schedule the same tech that had come out before, Brad R, and said he would bring a one-way trap, but the soonest he could come was a week later. She said they had recently been trained to deal with groundhogs. This indicated to me that the company was not really experienced in dealing with groundhogs. We researched groundhogs and discovered that they can do a great deal of damage to foundations and geothermal HVAC systems, which we have. This was alarming. We realized that this Terminix branch did not have the intention or even the capability of taking our problem seriously. This was consistent with the management's evasiveness when I first mentioned that I had expected something much more comprehensive for a Wildlife Exclusion Service. Very disappointing. I do not recommend this company.

I recently switched from Modern Pest to Terminix and am so much happier with Terminix. They came into every room and showed me where carpenter ants were starting to chew on our post & beam house. They went into the crawl space and basement and walked slowly around the outside of the house. While doing this, they sealed a few small holes to prevent bugs and critters from entering the house. They were on time, thorough, and completely professional. They did far more than my former company who hadn't even seen the carpenter ants! I am so pleased I switched.

Signed up for a service plan. Scheduled our first visit and they no showed but still charged my credit card. Fine, you get a chance to make it right. Called and was told that service manager would call me back. Never got a call so I called back again to the contact center (not the Augusta office directly) and was told that the service technician would be visiting that afternoon. My wife cancelled her plans with our kids to wait, and no one showed up. Never got a call from the manager and the technician no showed. At this point I am just cancelling my service. Sort of disappointed as I was looking forward to this service. I'll have to contact a different company at this point.

He is always here when promised, keeps us updated on what he is doing and always checks to ask if we need any other services while he is at our home. After waiting and waiting for an appointment, the day finally came for Terminix to take care of my pest problem. I received a voicemail from the tech a few hours before my appointment (which was scheduled for sometime between 5 to 6 pm) by the tech (named Matt) who told me he could only do 3:15. When I called back and asked why? I was told he already had plans for his evening and my pests weren't on the agenda. After a brief combative conversation with him. I "almost" felt bad for him after he came forward with his burnt out work schedule and the dispatcher not knowing his schedule.. Almost that is, he had a attitude and a chip on his shoulder which I believe carries all the way up to the management over there. Terminix never called to reschedule. I figured they blew me off and started looking for other options but I didn't want to start the process all over again, so I called one more time and was told once again that the Manager himself would take care of my pest problem. So here I am now four days later still waiting on followup from Terminix.

I have been with Terminix for a year or so. The guy comes out and do a half job and expect to get paid for a full amount of service. I called Terminix as they expect me to pay 125. For service that didn't happen. I continued to explain to them that I didn't sign for any service that day. They told me it didn't matter and that I owe them 125. And if I didn't pay it will go into collection. I told her to cancel my contract. This is a rip off as they don't do the service and think they should get paid.

One of their "Techs" had an attitude every time he came out and just kind of wondered around spraying here and there. The other tech was very nice and professional but after he left the pests ants/centipedes were back the very next day. I don't know if their service is any good yet and if they will solve my rodent problem because the technician performing the work has not come yet, but the one star rating is due to the problems I've had with the estimator and the contract. She did her inspection, and then talked in circles until I was so confused. I reluctantly agreed to pay roughly $650.00 and wrote her a check. The next day she emailed me a copy of the contact I signed (she could not provide me a hard copy when she was here AND she never showed me the screen where it showed the amount) and the amount was about $200 less than what I wrote the check for. When I called her to ask about this discrepancy, she said she made an error and would hold onto my check until she could come back and give it to me in exchange for another check for the correct amount (mid $400 amount). She assured me she only turns checks in once a week so it would not get cashed. I kept calling her and she was full of excuses as to why she was not coming to exchange checks. I found out today that they put the check through as a debit and by the time I realized it (the next day) it had cleared my bank. I will fight with them until I get the approximately $200 overcharged amount back. Problem is, the phone number for their Albuquerque office routes me to the Philippines. I should have read the other reviews on them before I signed a contract.

I am writing this after leaving work early to be home for a tech to show up and deal with ants in my home that I'm still waiting on. It is extremely rude to waste my time after I scheduled an appointment. I've been waiting several days for my appointment while dealing with an ant problem on my own the best I can. We are considering canceling our service as we receive no notice when they are expected to provide quarterly service and I'm not sure if they spray outside per our contract or not. I have not seen a tech since the previous summer. It is difficult to get someone to come out and service inside the home.

My family had a really difficult year (crime, house move, roaches in a rental that was supposed to be a respite, more crime, frustrations, another move, etc), but oddly enough one of the golden lights that restored faith in humanity has been our dealings with Terminix of all things. These guys have been wonderful. They have bent over backwards for us. Been extremely helpful and compassionate. Yes, I am talking about the guys who kill bugs. But it's been so much more than that. Not only was it one singular realm in a complex and difficult time that was not a pain, but dealing with our Terminix associates was pleasant such that I felt like I was finally back amongst civilized society again. They were flexible and went above and beyond for excellent and comprehensive service. They were good to us and helpful in a dark time, you're damn right I'm staying loyal now that things are better.

Amazed that I'm not alone with all these honest negative reviews. In my experience with these types of pest control companies, they frequently no-show a technician so I decided to give up almost two hours into my appointment window. However, I'm going to focus on their abysmal customer service. First time I called to cancel, the service rep hung up in the middle of my convo knowing I was just going to complain and cancel. The second time I call, the next service rep mentions, "If you were smart you'd know that it'd get dark around 8:30 so why did you even set an appointment during this window?" I just wasn't ready for yet another no-show and he had to get overly defensive and hostile - I was even considering to reschedule but I wouldn't dare do it with this type of toxicity. Who hires these people? Thanks for wasting my time, nonetheless!

My son found active termites in his home. Terminex Hattiesburg scheduled an appointment for the next day between 8-10. No one showed up, no one called. He called them, they said no tech was available and so they had cancelled the appointment then rescheduled for the next morning same tome of day, yet no one let my son know this. He couldn't be there for the new appt so I sat for 2 hours, No one showed up, No one called. I called them, they said the service manager would call me with estimated time of arrival. 20 more minutes, No phone call. I called back and they told me tech was running behind but was now on his way. 15 minutes later tech calls said he just left Hattiesburg (1 hour away). I told him to forget it and that this was the worst service I've seen. 2 minutes later the service manager calls and wants me to tell him what's going on, why did I cancel. So I told him all the above. He says I apologize, BUT things happen and they run late. I said that's why you call and let your customer know you are running late. He said, I apologize BUT... I told him there is no BUT in good customer service and I will be reporting them to everyone. In my experience, do not waste your time. Meanwhile termites are eating my house but terminex obviously does not care. PATHETIC

When I signed up for this service it was a different company. The account was sold to Terminix, I guess, and now I have a contract with them. It was going fine until they missed the inside of the house on a visit in May because they came out after I had reschedule the service appointment. I tried attempting to get them back out to do the inside on several occasions. Because the account is now passed due, they won't come out and do the inside. I refuse to pay for a service that isn't complete. I have been current on payments up until this point. I told them if they can come out and do the inside like they promised, I would pay my bill as I haven't missed a payment up until this point. I guess they are sending me to collections now, so you have the fortune of reading a poor review. I guess they are probably a good company, but I refuse to pay for a service that isn't complete. That's poor customer service.

This place is awful. Not only do they do an awful job diagnosing and treating your pest situation but a lot of times they don’t even have the right equipment and have to schedule another time to come back. Like, really? Be prepared. All the big corporate pest control places (Terminix, Orkin, Ehrlich) generally always provide terrible pest treatment and customer service. I finally canceled today after they no-showed for the 3rd time this week. I probably spent 4+ hours on the phone this past week and nothing ever got resolved and after 3 no-shows I had to cancel. Ive since scheduled with a local company and they are SO much better at every aspect. If you need pest control I recommend to 1) stay far away from Terminix and other big corporate pest companies and 2) find a local company with good reviews on Yelp. Hopefully this review will help save someone the headache I went through, no promotion they run will ever be worth their terrible, awful service!!!

I would give them zero stars if it was an option. I was a pest control customer for years. This year, I decided to add their guaranteed mosquito service. This is when disagreements began. After having no indication that anybody had come by my house at all, I called national customer service to complain. They got me in touch with Ken, the local Service Master. Ken told me that the servicer had come to my house twice already but since I was still getting mauled by mosquitos I worked with him, who was admittedly polite and accommodating as a service manager, to have the servicer come out again, the soonest day being 5 days later. Ok. Whatever. Well, a week after what was now supposed to be the third application over three weeks I saw no reduction at all in mosquito control. Given the 100% guarantee, I called Ken back and left a message. No response. So a day later I called the national customer service line to request a refund for the mosquito service. I was told that the refund had to be approved by the local shop. I wondered why but agreed to wait the ‘up-to’ 48 hours for a reply. 3 days later I got a voicemail from ‘customer escalations (?)’ saying that my request had been denied with no suggested alternative reconciliation. I called the ‘customer escalations’ person back, no answer, left a voice mail. No call was returned. I called Ken the local ‘service manager’ , no answer, left a message. No call was returned. Two days laters, I called both and left both messages to call me back and again both did not return my call. So I phoned the national customer service line again. Spoke with a customer service rep that explained that I had to talk to the local service provider for a refund. I explained that I was unable to get the local service to return my calls. His response was, again, that I had to work it out with the local service provider. After a few times of this going back and forth, I got a little heated and asked him to explain to me how I could work it out with the local provider without them answering the phone and without them calling me back? His response was, flatly , that I had to work it out with the local provider and then he unceremoniously hung up the phone. So I called back. Got a different service rep and explained the situation. She was nice and forwarded me to a second tier of servicer who was exceptionally nice and apologetic. And told me that she would cancel the mosquito service but, also, that a refund would have to be approved by the local provider. I explained my frustration given the local office’s lack of response. She understood. I told her that I then wanted to simply cancel my regular home service, too. She complied and asked why I wanted to cancel. My response was that I didn’t want to give them any more of my business. She was very nice and said that she would cancel all services. .... and, like a broken record, told me that I would have to get the local office to approve any refund for the mosquito service. I thanked her, hung up the phone, and then the next morning ( Thursday? Or Friday, don’t remember) and called and left both the ‘customer escalation’ person and Ken, the local service master, messages about wanting a refund. No response. On the following Tuesday I called both again. No response. This morning, Friday, I called both again and left messages. No response. I called Ken again the same Friday in the afternoon (at around 4pm), no answer. Left a voice mail. I don’t expect a response. I plan to call customer service again but I don’t have any aspirations of any progress at which point I will work it out with my Credit Card service. Oh well. I can absolutely no longer recommend Terminex in Arundel Mills, MD. What a disappointing way to run a business. I had been a customer for 8 years.

Home renter. Owner of house gave Terminix rep my phone number so he could text me about when to come by. All paperwork is in homeowner's name. I signed nothing. Fast forward a few months and Terminix has called me every single day for over a week. Person on phone began threatening me saying that my personal credit would be affected if I did not pay some amount that I never agreed to in the first place (remember again that I never signed up for anything, my name and number was given to the rep by the homeowner for contact purposes only). This is not to mention the fact that the Terminix reps only came to spray one time when the homeowner told me she paid for multiple sprays. Stay away from these shady door-to-door reps, they give the entire industry a bad name.

The worst company I have dealt with. They promise that everything will be great, all bugs will be killed and it will be great, they also say that if anything happens there is a warranty of 90 days, but then they do not honor the warranty. They give you a BS reason that the quarters are the yearly quarters, not 90 days. The guy who came told us he could come back within 90 days of the visit, I called today (the 90 days are not up until 10/19) and they said the 90 days are done, and there is nothing they can do. BS!!! do not do business with them, they do not honor their word. I will be contacting the BBB and making a formal complaint, they charge a lot of money for a service that does not work!!!

Mr. Ward was very informative about the treatment and answered all our questions and talked with us the majority of the time of what he was doing to treat our home. GREAT JOB.

I paid 106.00 for nothing. You guys sprayed twice, still had spiders and other bugs. When asked if I wanted my second installment I declined. Save yourself the money and buy the stuff at Wal-Mart. Kills bugs for 3 days just like terminix does. Very disappointing.

Terminex is very effective in the treatment and prevention of pests, and Chuck is great about taking extra care with our pets. We have a cat and a dog. Chuck does a thorough job and lets us know what exactly is done and where so that we keep the kids and pets away until it's dry. The website makes it easy to schedule and having the tech's business card to call directly is also very convenient.

I discovered a termite problem on Friday and after contacting several places to see if I could get someone out to my home the same day, which they couldn’t, I came across Terminix. I chatted with an agent online and she was able to set me up an appointment the following day (Saturday) at 8:00 am. I got a call from Shawn, who was coming out to inspect my home and give me an estimate. He arrived around 9:00 am, inspected inside and outside of our home, drew up a plan and gave us an estimate. Shawn was amazing, this guy knows his stuff and dealing with him was one of the best customer service experiences my wife and I have ever had. He also called two of his technicians to see if one of them could take care of problem that day and one could come out as he was in the area. We decided to go with them and within the hour the technician, Jake I believe, came out and took care of our wall and plumbing. He also set up the traps in front and back yard. This guy was quick and efficient. Overall, between price and service, Terminix is the company to go with. They know there stuff and take care of their customers.

Worse company EVER!!! Their initial appointment they told me to take all my items out of the cabinets and put them outside, so I did and the guy didn't show and it happened to rain that day and ruined all my stuff. When I called the company they said we can give you$50 off. My stuff cost $100 of dollars to replace. Then they said I had signed a contract that I had to complete it and since then they make an appointment by leaving a message on your phone and if you don't get it and your not there they will spray anyway (and if you have dogs in the back they will only spray the front) and charge you over $100. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company!!!!!

Terminix said that they could help us get rid of mice - so they told me for $1100 they could do an "eradication" or something like that; This prevents mice from entering the home ever again. For another $1000 they could do some chemicals/trapping for a year. I was told that I would have a technician at my house for a full day plugging holes. Instead, the guy was here for about 2-3 hours, did very minimal blockage and also did the spraying. He said that he would come back to do screens beneath my decks and other areas - but has not returned or even called, 4 weeks later. Also, after the exterminator came and sprayed chemicals, we began to have all kinds of ant problems and now flies everywhere - problems we never had before - plus we've had a strong chemical smell in our 4 seasons room since they came. I have called my reps at terminix 5 times with a promise of follow-up and no follow-up. I'm very frustrated, because I feel like I spent a lot of money for nothing.

Absolutely livid at the poor quality of service! This was supposed to be an initial consult for subterranean termites that I visually confirmed along my backyard fence. I couldn’t get a same day appointment but took the afternoon of the next available day (3 days later). The service representatives were all very professional but I cannot give more than one star for this type of no show. My appointment was on a workday between 3-5pm. After waiting on my porch with a no show for the duration of the scheduled time, I called to confirm the appointment was kept and a tech had been assigned. After another hour, I called again and the representative said they spoke with the tech and he apologized for running late but would definitely be out within the hour. Another hour lapses, now 7pm, and still a no show. After a half hour wait, I finally got a hold of yet another representative to officially cancel at 730pm.

Worst customer service ever, not reliable. Had to fire them immediately after this incident Called yesterday and made an appointment for today for sevices. They confirmed and read back the notes to me for why we needed services at this time. Confirmed for 1-3 today. Did not show. When I called to inquire about where they were they said they did not have any evidence of an appointment made. When I let them hear the call record that I had on my phone from our call yesterday, they said clearly an error had been made. I asked them to recifty the problem since we came home early today for the appointment. They offered us an app for late next week. When I said that was not taking care of their mistake, the manager told the customer service probder to let me know that "i can't sacrifice other customers to accommodate just this one customer." This is a direct quote from the customer service representative. Competley unacceptable. They do not care about their customers in an individual basis. Do not use this company

Did not show up for appointment, receptionist was rude and hung up. I called and set up an appointment for them to come out to exterminate a yellow jacket nest under our siding. They told me they'd try and get someone out the same night, but would for sure have someone come out the following morning between 8am-12pm. By 1pm, no one had showed up and I hadn't received any phone calls. I called into their customer service number and she told me no one was coming until the following Thursday (6 days!). I was trying to explain that I had canceled another exterminator coming because Terminix had told me that they could be there the next day and she hung up on me. I wasted my entire Saturday morning waiting for them NOT to show up so I could get hung up by their customer service rep. I can't think of a time when I've received customer service this bad. I'm amazed this branch is in business pulling this kind of stuff.

This organization is treating this customer horribly. on the morning of 9/17/2017 I called for service at my home and spoke to the associate about method, cost and schedule for a wasp nest in my attic. The system of removal, the next day appt and the 30 day guarantee all where agreed to. I provided a method of payment and took the time off to be here. The work was never started due to Terminix not showing up for the agreed upon appt. After calling back directly after the appt window (5:10pm 9/18/2017) I was told that while I'm indeed in the system the appt was never finalized in the computer. WHAT? Ok, now I'm promised that the branch manager WILL call that night or 1st thing in the morning because "he's on the road and it's too dangerous to speak with me right then, to please give times I'm avail on Tues (9/19) for service." I told the representative to give me the time and was promised the branch manager will provide that when we speak. Tuesday came and went without ANY FORM OF COMMUNICATION. I called this morning (9/20) to find out how this is happening and was told "we spoke to the manager he's on the road and it's too dangerous to speak with me right then". HUH, HOW DID YOU SPEAK TO HIM IF I'M ON THE LINE WAITING? I HAD AN APPOINTMENT 2 DAYS AGO WHERE THE COMPANY WAS A NO SHOW AND CAN'T GET THE DISTRICT MANAGER, BRANCH MANAGER TO CALL ME BACK! At this time I have NO SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT AND CONSTANT RUN AROUND! To say this is a HORRIFYINGLY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE STORY IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

Terminex is very effective at getting pests away! The technicians we have had over the years are so friendly and knowledgeable about every kind of pest there is. We have never had any pest problem for the past 19 years, if we see something, they are right back to take care of it with no extra cost. What a poorly managed, unorganized company. I bought a house in June, and they have shown up without my knowledge and sprayed it twice. Both times I have called and told them they were never authorized to spray my yard. This past time, they told me they needed to speak to the old owner, which is ridiculous. I don't have the right to not get my own yard sprayed? I also would like to mention that the services are worthless, and I haven't seen any change in the insect or spider population. Don't waste your money, and the time it will take to repeatedly call them to end the service.

Technician, Justin W., was very good, but the corporate office is soooo bad! They never showed up for first appt. and left me waiting for over 3 hours! They never answered my emails! Then I rescheduled an appt. at a later date and adamantly told the corporate office NOT to send the technician because I wanted to be home-told the company rep 3 times to make sure they didn't come when I wasn't home. You guessed it! They came anyway and said they did the service, which means they did not remove the mouse traps inside and didn't even notice that outside, I had a weasel that has now ruined a big part of my siding because they put no traps outside. I am so disgusted with this company!

This guy Karl Nelson is the absolute worst. I have headaches after every conversation with him. He works out of the Owings Mills, MD. location. He is rude, impatient, senseless, he talks over you but calms down when you ask for his supervisors info. My every experience with him has been an unpleasant one. If I could put a million 0 stars I would! Worst company ever!!!! Do not ever sign up with them! I tried to tell them the animals nest was under my work bench and they refused to listen to me, therefore I had several rats continue to get into my vehicle for weeks. When they finally agreed to remove the bench, what do you know I was right! They then told me it was out of their “scope of practice” to “clean” my garage. I then received text messages from Doug one of the managers (clearly not meant to go to me) saying I was lying about having rats and put laughing emojis. His superior Steve then called me to say they would only refund me $350 but still owe them $1000 and my problem still has not gone away and I have already cancelled my contract after only 3 months. Most unprofessional people and disrespectful! I should have read all of the terrible reviews before I signed up with them. My mistake!

Our technician Nick was kind & thorough. I’d rate him a 10/10! He contacted me the night before, although we didn’t chat & the day of. When he arrived we reviewed my concerns (carpenter bees & a rat). He treated our property & said he didn’t have a rat trap so he’d set up an additional service stop for us next week. Thanks Nick! However, I’m extremely disappointed in Terminex’s online system & responsiveness. We noticed our carpenter bees were back and making new holes in our back step railing. Despite being close to our mid-August service date, I requested an additional service on the afternoon of August 1st. Carpenter bees were causing damage to my property & as I’ve been told, I’m well within my contractual agreement to request service. I received a confirmation email of my follow up request stating a technician would contact me and NO ONE DID. While Nick apologized, not that it was his fault, the fact that I’m paying for a service & my request was ignored is unacceptable. Sure I could have called & followed up myself, but I was 9 months pregnant & now have a one week old baby. So by the time someone came out, Nick for my regular service, there was MULTIPLE carpenter bee holes in my back steps. While I’ve been very pleased with the technicians that have visited our home for treatment, I’m frustrated with the company. For our annual termite inspection someone cancelled the inspection appointment I purposefully made on a day I could be home without telling me. (I had a confirmation email of the appointment. No notice of cancellation) No one could tell me where the appointment went & I had to reschedule. Then this. I’m starting to feel like I need to find another company that maintains better records, cares about the treatment of their customers, and responds.

I started with Terminex a couple of years ago at my bed and breakfast with an infestation of fleas. Matt is wonderful. He looks everywhere. Takes care of the mouse traps and dead mice. Call Center and Service - Paid upfront for 1 year service. And tried to set up appointments for two weeks with specified date and time. No one confirms, had to call back several times for day and time specific. Instead receive call that they would be there on the day I did not request. Last try, to make sure they show at between day and time. Instead they were coming late afternoon. That was not the request. Call back and Jessica answer the phone from Florida. She stated on the phone until she could get a supervisor in the local office to response and resent and confirm appointment for July 18th between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. per the original request. I thank Jessica, and appreciate her hard works. She did excellently. I am very concern with my contract and services going forward. I will keep you posted. Thanks!
