They've explained the carpenter ant life cycle, so I understand this process will be ongoing for at least a few years, but I hope that this spring I will begin to see fewer ants and less swarming than I have in the past.

I have no idea where all this good reviews come from. I don’t think they are responsible.Their phone answered with automatic machine always and hard to get a call back. When they show up they talk about doing something needed more money. My issue was not solved but I discontinued their service.

Just a couple hours after calling, Service Technician, Jonathan Ryder called, set up an appointment and came to spray for mosquitoes. These folks are great. We had an ant issue inside and outside of the house. Their treatments took care of that very quickly. Then we had mice in the house (mostly my fault for feeding the birds), they set traps and took care of that. AND...they sprayed the eves of the house for wasps and hornets and took care of that. I am in the process of selling my 4 year old home. The buyer wanted a home inspection. One would think there wouldn't be much to repair in a new home. Well, let me tell you about two issues..... On the night the inspection was completed, my broker called me with the bad new that I had carpenter ants. I overreacted and contacted Green Pest Control immediately. They were over that evening! They located the problem, dusted, set bait and sprayed around the perimeter of my home. The next day I received a complete report of what was done, which was forwarded to my broker. The second issue was a small bee hive and old wasp nest in the attic. The wasp nest was knocked down and the bee hive was destroyed. I know I will receive a complete report tomorrow for that process. They were professional, dressed appropriately, respectful and knowledgeable. Once the treatment was complete, they explained to me what they had done. I highly recommended Green Pest Defense. Friendly, knowledgeable and fast response time. I spoke with the owner and he had someone out the next day. When you discover mice in your house, you want someone there right away! They walked through the whole house and inspected every nook and cranny inside and out. They strategically placed their equipment and blocked any potential entry points. We were overrun with brown tail moths congregating on a section of our house. I contacted Green Pest Defense to find out how to get rid of them. Rodrigo responded quickly and had us on his schedule for the next day. He found even more than we were aware of and sprayed around the whole area. The moths vacated quickly and though we have seen a few flying around we have yet to see the large group return. We asked Green Pest Defense to come get rid of the fleas in our apartment. After the standard two treatments they did, the fleas were only gone for a month. When the fleas came back we weren't sure why. We don't have any pets and made sure not to let our landlord's cats in our apartment. When the fleas came back after a month, I called Green Pest Defense twice and left a voicemail each time letting them know the fleas were back and asking what they suggested we do next (i.e. another treatment, other options, etc.). No one ever called me back.

These guys are great! We were in the middle of a serious flea infestation & we were losing the battle! After 2 months of DIY methods & spending over $1000.00, I made the decision to call in the Professionals. They came that afternoon. I like that they didn't judge me & they let me know exactly what to expect. We have a lovely 3000 square foot home and every room had fleas. They knocked them down! There's still a few stragglers, they predicted there would be. Their Step 2 is 11 days away. I highly recommend this service!

He is relaxed, courteous, very knowledgable, and helpful in sharing his knowledge about how the various pests in our house behave, and how the pest control methods work. Rodrigo is awesome! If you have any sort of pest problems, give him a call! We went from having 5-10 ticks a day to none in the last three weeks. He is very timely, very responsive to messages, and very professional. We started by having him treat our yard for ticks, but then when we started having mice propblems, he was there almost immediately with bait traps set up. He provides excellent customer service and we are very impressed. The pricing is extremely reasonable as well! Our home is now protected year round from all sorts of pests, and I have Rodrigo on call if we ever need him. Definitely give him a call, you won't be disappointed!

Here in Maine, we paid $300 for bee/wasp treatment since my wife is allergic, and we were assured that we would be safe for the rest of the Summer. The pest controller came out twice since we still had a bee / wasp problem. He also missed a huge hive hence why we problem still have the problem. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I always go by customer service first - and Green Pest didn't disappoint. Aaron and Jon came to the house and were personable and confident in their ability to solve my mouse problem. They also were quite patient with answering my questions. Really love interacting with them! Regarding solving the mouse issue... After months of trying tons of methods ranging from gentle to the not-so-gentle, I gave in and called a company. Within 2 days of their initial visit, the scurrying sounds has ceased and within two weeks the mouse problem is just about eradicated. Their service contract includes an upfront fee that was more than reasonable and then a small monthly fee after that (I don't know if the fees vary; call them for more info), but I have to say that paying for that peace of mind is something I'm making room for in my budget. Excellent company!

I can't say enough good about these guys! We discovered an infestation in our house and called them as soon as they opened the next morning. Aaron was knowledgeable and pleasant, and patiently answered all my questions. They were SO PROMPT that I almost wondered if they were waiting around the corner so they could pull into the driveway at the EXACT MINUTE of their appointment time. Another impressive thing is that, from the time I called them until they arrived and started spraying was only about 6 hours! They are professional, trustworthy, very thorough and more affordable than other similar companies. We loved their "better safe than sorry" attitude and it worked! We've seen absolutely zero activity since, and couldn't be more thrilled with their service. They came back for a follow-up treatment two weeks later, and of course it was more of the same. The source of our infestation was the apartment my elderly mother-in-law lives in and, unfortunately, her landlord was doing an embarrassingly terrible job treating it, and so it was pretty out of control. She called them after we'd had so much success and received the same amazing service that we did and her problem is GONE, after waging a war on it for several months. I really wish I could give Green Pest Defense more than five stars! Highly recommend!

I can not believe how this guy have gotten good reviews. If all of those reviews are true and genuine, it seems this guy did not do well only for my case. For me, I can not give more than 2. He was nice and looked very knowledgeable at first time visit. On 2nd, even he just stayed in the car while his staff works and he did not do the work what he committed to do at first visit. After 2nd, It was very difficult to reach him. We left voice message but he told us he did not get. How it happens? after a week later left another message, he did not respond. I felt like what he showed to us at first is just a part of sales man's behavior and I have not felt he is doing his best to solve the issue. We finally decided to walk away and no stress with other guy. Take your enough time to start with this guy. Local small company is not always the best. For my case, more organized large company does more professional work.

We are renovating a 100-year old farmhouse and the painter thought he discovered wasp nests. Green Pest Defense was immediately helpful when I called and by asking me just a few questions over the phone, they were able to diagnose the issue: carpenter ants. I received a written estimate within a few hours of my call, which enabled me to be more prepared for the on-site meeting with the Green Pest Defense team when they came the next day. (BTW, they came during the two-hour window that they promised to come.) Green Pest Defense listened to carefully to my husband's description of our continuing renovation and then shaped a remediation plan that met our needs as construction takes place. In addition, they took our pets into consideration, using products and materials that will not harm them. Probably best of all, the Green Pest Defense team reassured us that our issues were common and gave us a realistic time table for complete elimination of the issue. Great Service This was the first summer that the bugs were SO bad I had to consider hiring someone. As I am on Sebago Lake, and as I have pets and children, I wanted something safe. Green Pest Defense fit the bill. Couldn't be happier! They are as environmentally safe as you can get, and the mosquitoes and black flies (and even some of the deerflies) were noticeably absent. Have been using another pest control company for about 10 years. They were great before they were bought by or merged with a larger company. I was always informed of the date they scheduled my service and given a time range. Now they do neither. They sometimes email in advance other times they just show up.They switched from every couple of months to maybe 3 times a year.This year they have come once and we are 6+ months into the year. BUT they charge my credit card every month. The technicians used to be very polite, the last technician was just plain rude. I called Green Pest Defense after going finding them on line and they sent Jonathan, a technician, the next day. He was super professional, very thorough and efficient and he was very polite!. He set up new bait stations and removed the old ones and checked the house inside and outside for evidence of pests. So far, I couldn't be happier.
