The tech who came by most recently was a true professional. Not only did he check the sentricon plugs and walk the perimeter of the slab, but he walked around inside looking for signs of termites. He also gave me tips on what to look for and assured me that if we saw any signs before the next inspection, J&J would come out immediately to inspect and treat if necessary. The only reason I don't give a 5th star is because previous inspections were not as thorough. Based on the last one alone, I'd have given 5 stars.

Chose J&J Exterminating from a neighbor's recommendation & their high ratings. Called the office number to ask for initial appt. Took off 1 star because it took 5 working days to get call back to set appt. to discuss and assess my property. My rep was Lionel A. who knew their services well, had technical experience and explained my options well. I chose a termite contract for installation and annual monitoring of a bait system. This company uses evidence-based methods, and I feel confident I will have a partnership with them to protect my home and shed.

This company decided to send me to a collections agency (for $180) without even picking up the phone to inform me that they couldn't get my re-occurring payment for service to go through. They had my information on file, a simple phone call to inform me that there was a problem would have been sufficient to figure out the issue. I still don't know why they couldn't get it to go through, when they had my information stored for that reason. In addition, don't use them to get rid of rodents, I think the materials they used actually brought more rodents in my house than what I previously had. Also, the guy they send out is afraid of rats.

I first called J&J on Sunday, and wasn’t expecting an answer- but was told someone would be in touch shortly to book an appointment. The first thing in the morning, Terry called me and we booked a time for him to come by for the next day, to check out my rodent (and small roach) issue. He got me set up for a deal on a year of service, and even went out of his way to pick up a dead mouse that I had in the house, without being asked to do so! I have had my existing termite contract for more than 10 years…originally with Safeguard Termite & Pest Control and then J & J Exterminating Co. bought them out around 6-7 years ago. Safeguard always did a very professional job. Each year, they would contact me to schedule the annual inspection and I would then pay the annual fee. When J & J Exterminating Co., took over the contract, the practice of scheduling the annual inspections beforehand stopped. The first couple of times, an inspector just showed up without notice to inspect the house. Since my wife and I both worked, someone may or may not be here when they showed up. In my view, this really needs to be done, if not to make the process more efficient, than for the sake of professionalism & courtesy. One particular time we were not home and an inspection form was left at my front door with a note to call the office to schedule the indoors inspection (which I did). After this, I called the office and told the person that from now on, I would like to be called beforehand to schedule the inspections in a time when someone would be home so that the entire inspection could be done. I don’t think this has ever happened. One thing J & J Exterminating Co., is very efficient at is sending out the bill for the annual contract renewal. A few months ago, I received my bill. I was going to write a check to send in my payment but soon realized that I didn’t remember ever getting my annual inspection done for 2018. I keep all my inspection reports so I checked them and, sure enough, I couldn’t find one for 2018. I called the local J&J office. I asked the lady who answered the phone to check my account to see if an inspection was done in 2018. She confirmed that one had not been done. When she offered no explanation, I told her that I thought the annual inspection was part of the fee and was actually required and then asked her to explain what the purpose was for the annual fee. She told me that I “had the liquid treatment and the it was good for 10 years before needing another inspection.” This didn’t sound right to me so I questioned her further. She told me that a number of people at the company had left this past year and they were making a list of people whose inspections had been missed. She took my cell phone number and told me someone would call me very soon. I received no phone call. A week later, I sent a detailed message of my problem to the customer service email address located on the main web-site. It was my experience that the technicians who come out to do the work do a good job…my issue is with the administration of the contract. Customer service is almost non-existent. I haven’t heard from anyone. I totally lost confidence in this company and have since initiated a new termite contract with a competitor since I was at the end of my contract period anyway.

J&J came out immediately after my initial call. The sale's man explained the entire process in great detail. A few days later the technicians came out and complete the service. The sale's man called to follow up to make sure everything was done as described and if I had any questions about the service. In addition to the professionalism I received the cost of the service was a fraction of the cost of the larger name companies that were servicing our area. Great experience, I would highly recommend J&J Exterminating!

After skirting the termite swarms the past few years damage free, I decided that I’d tested my luck long enough. I called a few companies for quotes and almost signed a contract. On a whim, I searched for local pest control companies and found J&J, the reviews speak volumes! They set and appt for me very quickly, came out and gave us an estimate for pest control and termite prevention. The price was very competitive and much better than the others I’d received. I come from a strong customer service background and this is definitely evident in J&J. From their on site technicians to the phones, it’s consistent! We give five stars to our on site technician Chris! Not only did he put my mind at ease that I’d made the right decision, but he also let me know they a payment plan. His suggestion to schedule service sooner rather than later was brilliant! This is the first year I don’t have to worry about pest control, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Before you sign a contract with another company, definitely call J&J!

Also, with my termite renewal, I paid my renewal but had to initiate a phone call in order to set up an appointment 2 weeks later. Not sure how their services are but I don’t ever intend to find out. I was driving East on Jefferson Hwy near Salvation Army this afternoon when the *really intelligent* person who works for this company (in a company truck) was driving about 60mph, changed lanes in a sharp curve without looking and almost caused me to run off the road or get seriously injured or hit another vehicle, injuring them. He then sped up to god knows how fast. The whole time ON HIS PHONE. Great hire, J&J! The best part is the “safe driving” sticker with truck ID # CY946. I will be reporting this person and the photo I took of this vehicle.

have an infestation in my apartment and i was told that the job was guaranteed. I called Tony and he had a guy come to do the job twice still no luck and Ira Hays said that he was the manager of the first guy and he can do the job, just talk, but still no luck,. However, in the process of this nightmare i still paid 1000.00 and my kids still get eaten up every night. I called the exterminator because my new born was biten by these little nightmares and was very skeptical but i read the reviews. I should have known better because no one really talk about bedbugs. I was lied to and i felt like i was rubbed. I want my money back. It's not right that people pay so much money for something and did not get what they paid for. Do not have these people come to your house to kill these things. Their chemicals do not kill all the bed bugs. I went to my kids roim and found over twent bedbugs running around. Annual service and re-inspection. Don came over and did a walk through of the house and replaced our Sentricon baits including the ones under our brick walkway and replaced a few cones that had to be uprooted due to some recent landscaping work. Extremely nice, knowledgeable and quick. Those qualities combined with a Louisiana-owned family business is where I will put my money every time. I wish there were more businesses like J&J in the area...

These people are monsters who took advantage of us and the previous owner!!! I am giving this company a one star because zero is not an option!!! This company had the termite contract on my home before I bought it. There was an elderly sick lady who lived alone in the home before us. She ultimately had to be moved out and put in a home. Her kids were keeping up the house and they were wonderful people who kept it under contract. When we tried to renew the contract with J & J the refused to do so. That’s strange right? Why would a company that has been under contract on a home just not renew you ask? Oh that’s easy, because they were not doing what they were paid to do and allowed an 8 year old colony to eat our garage without informing the owners of the house. When I called to have them fix it the girl who answered the phone said “I am so sorry there is nothing we can do”!!!!!! So we had to pay a different company to come out and treat our home. Along with thousands to fix the issues caused. The best part of this is even though you have a contract with this company if you read their guarantee it has a litigation clause. My husband and I are very regular people who had no idea what that meant. So we consulted a lawyer who explain to us we had no hope of recovering any damages or money paid to this company because they would be the ones to hire the Litigator. The litigator almost always side with the company who hired them or that company would no longer used them for future litigations. He advised that we not try to go to litigation with them because we would most likely loose and be out more money for the legal representative. My husband and I were fresh out of college planning our wedding and trying to find real jobs when we bought our home. We have a small house that we could afford and were trying to make ends meet at the time. Every dollar counted tenfold then so we could not afford to lose anything else on this. These people are monsters who took advantage of both my family as first time home owners, and the original owner who was too old and sick to find this information out on her own. So please do yourself a favor and never do business with these people. This cannot be the only time this has happened in their existence as the girl who answered was a little to rehearsed to have never said this to people before us.

BEWARE! Horrible Company! Don't do business with them!! J&J wants your dollar, they are not interested in doing a good job! I own multiple homes in the Metairie/ New Orleans area. I was a J&J customer for more than 9 years. My quarterly appointment time was usually around 3:30pm.(Guaranteeing I'd be home, after picking up the kids) They would "Spray" the OUTSIDE and leave. I always arrived on time, yet they were gone, leaving a tag saying that it had been sprayed. I called and complained , because I would see roaches INSIDE my home. (My home is large 4800 SqFt.) After a year of this, I didn't pay my last quarterly payment, UNTIL they sprayed the inside. Interior of the house NEVER got sprayed. This company sent it to COLLECTIONS, instead of making it right. Pathetic! If this is how they treat loyal customers, can you imagine......How you will be treated?

I had an appt for a technician to come spray my house between 11-2. No body ever called nobody ever showed up. At this point i have to leave and pick my kids up from School. I called to see what happend and reschedule, I spoke with Jessica, who was extremely rude! She couldnt get me an appt until 5 days later (we have a flea problem with no pets or carpet and it's really bad.) and when I tried to explain to her the situation and I needed it to be today she told me "well someone was going to come but you have to leave." Like it was my fault I had to leave AN HOUR AFTER MY SCHEDULED TIME. So now my family has to suffer for 5 more days! I signed a contract because I wanted to be a long term customer but if this is how they treat new customers I dont want any part of it. Also when the first time they came to spray it rained so I'm sure that could be while were still having problems or the fact that they ONLY sprayed the base boards. The previous company I was with sprayed every inch of my floor.

First it is embarrassing to admit that you might have a pest problem that has gotten out of hand however at no point did J&J make me feel uncomfortable or ashamed about my pest problem. Instead the superior service I got either from the receptionist, who put me in contact with Will the Account Manager, who was helpful while working with me in my time restraints, (I’m a school teacher) or the technician Jonathan who at no point made me feel embarrassed about my problem was first class. Jonathan showed up exactly on time and worked expertly addressing all my concerns in a professional and knowledgeable manner. After methodically targeting all my current pest issues he even went above what I had expected and set my family up to prevent future issues. The peace of mind I was left with gave me the first restful night sleep I have had since the pest problem started. Later that afternoon I was surprised that Will reached out to me and wanted to know if I was satisfied with the service and if there was anything else he could do for me. It is rare to see in todays society the commitment to customer satisfaction that I had with J&J and I am very excited and proud to use them in the future.

I didn't get the service I was not home when they came so they put it on my credit report. So don't sign anything from theese crooks it a scam. Then the receptionist had the nerve to say it was a year ago that it was put on my credit report. I don't care how long it was yall didn't service my house and still got paid they are a rip off.
