The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that since the problem was treated this morning I won’t know for a few days how successful it is. The technician arrived just as my 6 horses escaped their pasture and I had to leave to round them up bi showed him where the problem was, he took care of it and was finished by the time we had the horses rounded up and got back to the house. So thankful he was understanding about the situation. Great job!

Terrible communication and service!! I got a call from your representative, that told me he was around the corner and would be at my house in 15 minutes. Are you kidding me? That was my advance notice. Not to mention the last time he was here he spent all of 12 minutes. Did not give me any feedback. Not to mention he left all of the mouse traps, all fifty two of them strewn about my house. This after the mice have been gone for over a month. I will not mention your competitor, but I miss them terribly. I was a self-employed company owner for 33 years myself, note to Orkin, communication is key! Service should be a given, especially when you pay $800 for the service. If it wasn't for my excellent credit rating, I would not pay the balance. I don't like paying for something I was promised, but didn't happen. Five thumbs down. Except for the first technician. At least he spent the time to explain to me what was going on.

Mr. Nate is AWESOME!! He is courteous and kind and provides suggestions and tips of what you can do. He has personal conversations with you to make you feel more than just a customer and he is just doing his job. Now him I would give 5 Gold Stars. But I ALWAYS have a problem with scheduling. I get the card in the mail and if the date is not good for me I call the office to reschedule around my work and write the date and time on my calendar. So the day comes but the time has passed and I call to get an ETA and they give me a different time then what I confirmed with them a few days before. This has not happened only once but a few times. And for this inconvenience I will have to give a rating of 3 stars.

My original appointment got rescheduled for 3 days later about 1 hour before the technician was scheduled to arrive. On the day of my rescheduled appointment they moved the time without notifying me which affected my work schedule. Upon arrival, the technician quoted me about $100 more for the service than the original representative I spoke to that scheduled my initial appointment. I had to demand an explanation for the price change in order for her to agree to ask for the service office to pull the recorded call. The technician was kind but too nonchalant. After I explained the places I say the pest, she still didn’t see it necessary to put traps in those locations. Her inspection of the home seemed quite vague as well compared to my experience with other companies. Overall I am deeply unsatisfied and I regret agreeing to pay this company for a year.

UPDATE: I just had to do an update and share that Chis is still AMAZING!!! We were having an issue with spingtails and and the little critters were gone from every where in my home, except near my patio door despite all of Chris's efforts. He came out each time that I called. Was never annoyed (I would have been annoyed!). He was always patient and informative. I think I must have called the poor man out a good 4-6 times :-( We left for vacation two weeks ago, Chris came out right before we left, sprayed again and was nice enough to follow up with me a week later. Unfortunately, the darn things were still there! Chris was DETERMINED to rectify the issue and FINALLY, I can say that for the first time in 2 mos, they are almost completely gone!!! Chris came back out and finally figured out that they must be hiding under our recently installed deck and took extra care in treating that area. I can't thank Chris enough! Orkin is truly lucky to have such an outstanding and committed employee. Chris is AMAZING!!!! I’ve only been with them for less than a month and I’ve had poor Chris out to our home three times now ( I’m that frantic annoying homeowner that HATES bugs!). Chris has never seemed frustrated or annoyed and I actually trust and believe what he says!!!! He is always so kind, patient and pleasant and knows what he is doing! Very pleased with this branch so far!

No protective clothing (company should provide 4 hornets nests)-I was worried for him but I counted only 6 dead hornets & less than 25 that flew around for about 1/2 hour. Many came back next day. Will do myself next time. Not employees fault-I read a lot about hornets nests,their behavior,etc, & Orkin’s methods aren’t what’s recommended.

I called the Orkin office in Ruston, LA late yesterday and asked to have an exterminator come and start a contract. They did extremely well explaining the terms & conditions of the contract and had an exterminator come the next morning. Never received service! Called on Saturday morning November 3rd and was given an appointment for 2:00 - 4:00 with 4:30 PM being the latest time of arrival on the same day. No one showed up so I called back only to be told that my local office was now closed and no one would be coming. Apparently they have glitches in their system that cause things like this to occur. I was ok with that because I was told that someone would call me on Monday to reschedule. It’s now Friday and I have not received a call, text, or email. The only correspondence I have received is the email to complete this survey. At this point I’ve already had another company come out and handle my issue.

The actual pest control part is great. And the service people who come are wonderful, lovely people. However, after almost 7 years, Orkin STILL can’t separate my account from my mom’s. We have had mixed up appointments, frequent phone calls to the wrong person, and despite MANY phone calls and promises that they would remove her number from my account, it still happens almost every time. Surely, out of the vast quantity of customers Orkin has, we can’t be the only two people who live in the same town with the same last name. This shouldn’t be so hard, and they are going to lose our business because of it.

I wasn’t home when the service happened, but I don’t see what was done. Apparently our wasp nest is too high for the technicians to remove without an additional charge. I feel like I’m paying a lot of money for your people to look in traps around my house. I’m not trying to discount the skills required to be aware of activity, but as I was putting my camping equipment away, I found a mouse nest in my garage. I feel like for the kind of money I’m spending, I shouldn’t be the one finding activity and telling you. You should be telling me there was activity, and here’s the solution we have already devised. The first service and the follow-up was wonderful. Since then I feel like the technicians are asking me what I want rather than telling me what I need.

Latest update: they didn't call to schedule an appointment. I'm assuming it's because I'm now on a list because they kept changing my appointment. They'd call. Schedule an appointment. The tech would call the day of and reschedule. I said fine the first time. The second time I tried saying no to the tech. He wouldn't listen. So I called and complained that I've been rescheduled twice now. Well, now they don't even call at all. Ants got inside. Spraying and traps weren't enough. Bought services. Whole thing was easy and smooth. Really like their services and the 1st tech, Ali. Very nice guy. I've had 2 follow up services where they just come and spray the outside. They would spray inside but after spraying 2 more times inside I've had no ants. Every time that they come out to spray the outside though, I get an automatic appointment email sent to me. It says they'll be there between 8a and 4p. Yeah...I work too. Then I get another email in a day or 2 saying my appointment window is now 2 - 4p. Better, but I still work later. So I reschedule for another day at a later time, after 4. No problem. Both times now though, another tech calls to reschedule to come earlier that same day or another day. No, dude! I need you to be there when I say so because that's how this whole thing works. He's done it twice now. Very annoying

Since getting on the maintenance plan with Orkin, we have had ZERO bugs anywhere! Even with a super wet 6 months. In addition to a great product, the price is also extremely reasonable. I've used your serve for years. I lived at 144 Northwood Circle and the tech treated the inside 2 or 3 times and only had to do the outside there after. Since I moved to a brand newly built home the tech wand to spot treat the inside depending on where I see bugs. He spot treated the bedroom when we saw small bugs. After that I killed and saved a big for him to see. He said that they were coming in from the outside so he just treated the doorways. I chased but did not kill a full size roache in the kitchen so I am waiting for him to come again. With all the rain, just treating the outside isn't working. It would make good sense to me to treat the entire inside one good time then resort to just treating the outside. My service cost has been raised twice and the treatments have gotten worse.

2 stars because my appt time was 10a-12p I got a call after 11am asking could they come from 12-2. I work overnight, so I already stayed up for the first time frame and now being asked to stay up for another 4hrs! I had to call at 1:50pm to see where the service person was, only to be put on hold for 11mins and then the young lady coming back on to tell me they'd call me back once they've gotten in touch with whomever was coming...... needless to say I lost out on sleep for something that took all of 15mins. I got off at 7am and had to be back in at 7pm.
