Please stay away from this company!! They bill you for services not received. The initial fee to start your account is 35% higher than most competitive companies offering the same service. The man named Inson was assigned to my account and to treat my home.At first he seemed nice and then I found out he lied about the applications of certain pest control that I was billed for. I then had to deal with his boss Steve Neville who never returned my calls and only emailed Twice and recommended me to contact the district manager about my comments. I did leave a message for David Knub. ( District Manager) . I wasted too much valuable time to resolve the mistakes but all they seemed to care about was to have the bill paid in full for services invoiced incorrectly that I did not receive . VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!

Was promised they would plug up potential pest entrances, but they just laid traps. When I called to acknowledge this, they called the guy who came to lay said traps to complain on my behalf (which I asked them not to do because he was great; it wasn't his fault I was given bad info) when I made it very clear it was the call rep who made those promises, and then re assigned another guy to us without notice, even tho another of their promises was that we'd get the same guy. Waste of time and money.

I lowered your rating because I was never notified of the date for the last service call. The service technician showed up and we happened to be home. He asked if we had received an e-mail notifying us and we had not! We are still waiting to receive an e-mail telling us when our next service will be. In the past, Ehrlich has always been responsive and prompt with e-mails or phone calls notifying us of service call dates, receipts via e-mail, and/or any changes. This has not been the case lately. This is unsatisfactory and needs to be addressed and corrected. The service technician we have is great but his hands are tied when it comes to matters such as this. We have been customers with Ehrlich since building our house in the early 90's and would like to continue but not if this is a sample of how you are going to do business today.

He was extremely knowledgeable about all of the problems I was describing and explained the services that Ehrlich provides and why. I have had service but have had to cancel due to budget constraints. I have been trying to cancel the service for now 6 weeks and have spoken communicated with 4 different people, who are using three different domains so I am not sure what company I am dealing with. I had hoped to cancel the service until our budget issues cleared up but given the hassle of trying to stop the service, I would never use them again. They were very interested in selling the service but when it comes to stopping the service, nobody seems to want to take charge. I have called several times asking for an account rep and all I get is "I will send an email to someone in that location".....

Ehrlich was just found spraying glysophate, the main ingredient in Round Up directly next to the play ground at West Chester Daycare. This chemical is highly toxic, especially to children. This is just plain wrong. Many other countries are banning glysophate as its manufacturer, Bayer-Monsanto, is sued by people with cancer--and has had to settle for billions--yes, billions of dollars. And Ehrlich is spraying it on a playground? Why is this allowed?

The service tech is very good. My biggest issue is that I had scheduled my next visit with the tech on his previous visit, however, he showed up at my house unannounced at least 2 weeks prior to the date I had scheduled and marked on my calendar. Management, administration or anyone else should not be able to change that appointment without contacting me directly. I was in the middle of several things when he showed up at my door. Several rooms were in disarray as I was unpacking boxes to repack and purging files for shredding. So I stopped what I was doing to let him come through and do his job. Some of the areas were unattainable so he did what he could get to. It would have not been like this had I been informed of his scheduled visit. I don't know what is going on at Ehrlich but I am very disappointed with this situation. I would appreciate a call 2 weeks prior to visit. Thanks.

Terrible service. The pest control man that replaced the old one was not knowledgable in moth basics (the difference between cloth and kitchen moth). Supervisors did not change matters. Their home inspection following a cloth moth infestation revealed nothing. They could not decide whether to bomb the piano or not. We finally got good advice from friends, in the end, who advised us to check the frame backs of old paintings and the pool table and card table (covered in felt) and open up the piano to take a close look.... TRULY A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Horrible customer service. Never responded to calls and never processed work order to come out to do job for bees/yellow jackets. Had to keep calling even for initial free quote. Texted a few times. Very unprofessional. Slacks on scheduling and making customers feel as tho their service is valued. Go somewhere else ... this company isn’t someone you want to have to keep working to fight to have do a job. Too much work to have work done. Technician didn’t bring ladder to initial appointment for bees/yj in roof or attic. Then said he’d bee back next day. Never called or showed. I had to text. Then said Monday. Didn’t come. Then said Wednesday. Came and gave quote but asked for Credit card and I said sure but I didn’t have the card. He said someone would call to schedule ... that was weeks ago. I’m still waiting. I’m looking elsewhere for serving. This company sucks.

I called Ehrlich pest control to set up a visit to spray for cockroaches. We arranged a time to come out and they took a credit card number to put a hold on my account of $225. The day of the visit, July 17, came around and I received a call from the actual technician. He cancelled, but said someone from the Frederick office would call to reschedule. I let a week go by and then another week, when they finally called, the office had no idea my scheduled appt had been cancelled. They were calling to set up a subsequent appt. By that point I was fed up and told him I would not be doing business with Ehrlich. Several days later, Aug 7, now 3 weeks past my original appointment date, I noticed the hold was still on my account, so I called them to get it taken off. The representative said she'd take care of it. The next day, the hold had become a full charge. I called them and they said they'd take care of it. A few days later, it was still there. I called again and they said their refund process was a multi-day process that I was in the first stage of.. I told her I expected a phone call the next Monday, Aug 14 to tell me the refund had been processed... She said she would try and make sure that happened. It's now Aug 16, and still no refund, no calls. This company is borderline criminal. I was forced to file a credit card charge back. By the way folks, Terminix was cheaper.

I told them my needs and concerns and they gave me exactly what I needed and wanted. If there were any adjustments need to my services, they were right there to do it. They are quite friendly when you get to know them, are concerned for you needs, they actually listen to you. Still have ants. Technician seems thorough, but may be overscheduled. Office staff rude and inept. 1st time, gave me a 4 hr window, tech came after 3 hrs 45 min. 2d time, I asked for call when within half an hour. 3d time, 4 hr window, waited 3 hrs 30 min. No tech, no call. Called office, person said, "He is still within his time frame window." Also said it was not notated in my records that I had asked for call within half an hour. Well, it should have been. It cant be that hard to be courteous enough to let people know within half an hour so homeowner can plan schedule.

I have been an Ehrlich customer for many years now. Gary, our service tech, has been quite competent, effective and pleasant to deal with. We have been very satisfied with the service. Any and all problems over the years have been taken care of promptly and efficiently. One thing I must say is I recently received a letter indicating my bill would increase $2.00 a month beginning next month. I admit it is not a large increase. However, since a significant tax savings has been granted to businesses by the congress, I believe there should be no increase or a reduction in my monthly bill. I was disturbed a bit when I received that letter.

They will get a technician out to you pretty quickly when and if a pest is observed. Prices keep going up regularly and have since we signed up with them, which is the reason for the lower star review.

I am very happy with the service that Ehrlich performed at my home today. They took care of a large bees nest as well as spiders.The service technician, Monty, called the night before to confirm the appointment, and called 20 minutes prior to give me time to get home. Monty was so pleasant. He was very thorough in explaining what type of bees nest it was, and explained in detail the service he was providing. I actually cancelled the other pest control service I had in place for 18 years, and signed up for Ehrlich's 365 plan which still start in October. I did use Ehrlich last year as well for a bee problem. From my experience last year as well as today, I highly recommend Ehrlich Pest Control.

Called to have bees taken care of in my front yard. When I set up the appointment I told him I wanted to pick a day my husband would be home so he could be there when the exterminator came. The man on the phone said no problem they would be there on my chosen day between 1 and 3. My husband made sure he was home at 12:30 in case they came early. However 3:00 came and went and no one showed up. My husband called multiple times and when he was able to speak with someone, they told him an exterminator was already there in the morning (when he wasn't home). The man my husband spoke to was the same person who set up the appointment and claimed he told me that no one had to be home and that the exterminator could come at any time in the day. This is absolutely not what I was told. When my husband asked if the exterminator left a receipt in the mailbox the man on the phone said 'ask your wife how she set it up'. The man on the phone was the one who set it up! So we have no receipt, no note on the door, no phone call, and no email that anyone came to the house to do the job they promised. I tried to email the company to speak to them about it and have gotten no response, but of course I have been charged for work that possibly wasn't even done. This company only wants your money and doesn't care if you are unhappy with the result.

If I could give a lower rating, I would. We had Ehrlich service for about THIRTY years, over multiple homes. Around 2 years ago things went fair to medium. This year, just a nightmare for scheduling and poor service without resolution to our pest problems. Booking appointments too close together, and trying to get them rescheduled is awful. And even when we rescheduled, the technician would show up. Instead of a specific time, they now provide a window of time with the tech arriving at the very last minute of that window. The company is difficult to work with and has continued to send us appointment notices after we cancelled. And their treatments have stopped working for ants. Try a different company.

I have been a customer for 17 years and have a lovely technician that has been servicing my property for that time. Recently I added an additional service for mosquitoes and have a different technician for that service. The schedule of for this service is terrible - a six month service that is not scheduled on a monthly basis during mosquito season as would make sense. I've been trying to have someone in the local office get back to me for almost two weeks now - even had a customer service rep send prioritize my issue with the tag "urgent" and still crickets. I have probably called more then five times and half the time get someone overseas not familiar with my service. If there was a local office I would physically stop by that's how irate I am about my phone calls not being returned. The customer service does not exist at this company.

We first contacted Ehrlich a number of years ago due to a problem with carpenter ants. We signed on for the annual service and have been extremely satisfied with the service since day one. Ehrlich was able to send a technician to the house within 24 hours to resolve a yellow jacket nest that had formed in the crack of an exterior wall in our house. The yellow jackets were actually finding their way into the house interior. The first treatment was exterior only as I could not be home during the day. The technician sent a digital report by email after completing the initial treatment and was available by phone later that evening to follow up with questions. The technician came back a week later to check in and apply additional treatments to the interior of the house. The yellow jacket problem was resolved with all insects dead within a few days of the treatment. The technician was very responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. He called the evening before to verify the meeting time for the following day. All in all a very rapid and effective solution and a fair price.

Pretty good service. We required re-treatment in between scheduled treatments. They scheduled a service date without notifying us, which isn't that big of a deal, but we missed it and have to reschedule. We do still see pests around the perimeter. I would like to make clear that the one star is for ehrlich as a company, not the technicians. I have been a customer for more than 10 years. I had been satisfied until recently with the company. The technicians have always been knowledgeable and helpful but since the company was bought out, it has been very disappointing and frustrating. The price keeps going up and the service is lacking. You can no longer call your local office and speak with someone. Instead, you call the main number and speak with someone clear across the country. We just got a new technician assigned to us, Monty. He literally just left. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and did different things to deal with our current issue. He deserves to be recognized for excellent work. Also, let me just tell you about what we have. We have the yearly service, which includes most normal issues and someone is supposed to come right out and deal with it. We don’t have many issues But can’t imagine the service if we had more issues. I was going to cancel my service but will continue because of Monty. I am disappointed in the customer service, which is 0%, btw. I had an issue a couple of weeks ago with customer service and no one ever got back to me. Terrible!!!

Since the 4 contract days had passed, another $ 344.00 was too costly to start again for # 3 groundhog. There should be a relief plan to continue the removal.

This company has really gone down the drain lately. Matter of fact, I'm writing this post to see if I can get a response as to why I should keep my account with them because you sure can't get any answers when you call. I remember when you could call and get same day service (been a customer for about 4 years ) now you're lucky if you can have someone out 3 or 4 days later. I don't know about you but if you see ants trailing on your foundation wall, you would think that the company you pay for would want to come out ASAP before they get into your house, not anymore with this company. Like I said, maybe 3 days later they can come out. The techs are good, when you can get them out but even they say that they have no control over their routes. I just hope that this post gets me some answers and hopefully this company can be as good as they used to be and won't force me to get another company.

Buyer beware if the local West Chester area services! I’ve used Ehrlich pest control at a rental property in the Harrisburg area and had no problems, so when I called them IN MAY to handle a squirrel issue in my home, I thought I would be set. Do not use the local Ehrlich services. I’ve had to stay home from work three or four times to meet them. A sales guy was here twice and two different techs to my house three or four times - with no solution found. When you call the local number - you get someone in a call center. Depending on the call center person you get on the phone - they’ll try to charge you each time someone comes out. Their services are not cheap. The last time, a very nice man who said he was the local manager or supervisor came, thought he finally found the problem, and told me they would be in touch within the next week to schedule a tech to come out. That was about 6 weeks ago. Moral of the story: I still have squirrels in my attic and I’ll have to call someone else now.

When they do, the last guy was so lazy he wouldn't even climb one flight of stairs to go look where I said the issue was.
