Not having 8 millions mosquito and flies during our home event was wonderful - we live in a heavily wooded area and the bugs can get a little nuts in August. They charged about $100 for the initial inspection. I called to schedule removal of pests. They could not schedule for 3 weeks. They scheduled for 3 weeks and then didnt show up. I called to follow up and they said they didn't come because I didn't sign my agreement. I went to my junk mail and found multiple emails from them. I was never informed that they would be emailing me an agreement to sign so I wasn't looking for it. They could not reschedule anytime soon. I am selling my house and need the pests out for inspections so I had to start over with another company. They would not refund the initial assessment. I informed them I would be leaving a review for the terrible experience I have had. I was told the call was being recorded and not to make threats. Dear Modern Pest management, this review is to show that I was not.making a threat and it is completely legal to leave a review. Enjoy listening to the recorded phone call.

I have been using modern for years at my log cabin in Maine. They go to the place when I'm not there take care of everything that needs to be done and leave a note so I know they came by. If I ever had an issue they would come by wether I was there or not and take care of it. No questions asked.

Do not use this place signed a contract. When I asked him to look it up they didn't even have it. They booked me twice and cancelled And cancelled last minute because their workers are sick Don’t use them they took over another company. A couple of months ago, no one showed up for the appointment. No call no show ! My second floor tenant informed me that she has been seeing mice underneath one of the cabinets. This past Saturday, she informed the technician Of the activity, However, the technician did not place any mouse stations under the cabinets during his service and I don't know what happened to the prior ones ! Normally, the technician will call me if there is anything out of the ordinary or if something needs to be done... I would have expected him to at least place trap stations, there or at least call me since the tenant notified him. I called and spoke with a person named Melanie, who assured me that I would receive a call from the manager I am still waiting !

We've been with Modern Pest for years. Their comprehensive plan of quarterly treatments has made a huge difference in making our 90 year old wood-frame house bug free. Whenever we've had questions or critters between treatments, MP has been quick to send a technician within a few days, sometimes sooner. Only once in the past several years has MP had to come out twice to treat the same pest. Our experience with the technicians has been good to great. They're personable and competent. Highly recommended.

My only complaint was the price of $252 for a half hour's work. The powder used did the trick and I didn't see one wasp after about four hours after the treatment.

There was attention to detail at every step: Kristina's helpfulness in finding the right services for us on the phone, PestRx's advance email with a picture of Dan when he was on his way so we knew we had the right person arriving at our house and Dan's thoroughness in his explanations throughout the appointment, even a follow-up email covering all that was done and what to expect. These were all essential in making our pest mitigation experience exceptional. Dan was very knowledgeable, explained everything he was doing, summarized what to expect and why, gave tips and asked if he had answered all of my questions. He even explained our vector service although that won't start till a separate appointment with a different service person. I also appreciate that he is to be our service person for all issues pertaining to the house as long as he's working. Helps to have the continuity. Thank you.

Caught them ghosting scheduled service. Called 2 weeks ago for a service call, said they couldn’t come for ten days when our regular service was already scheduled. Had to live with carpenter ants that entire time. Then no-showed the appointment. Called to ask about their guarantee and they said they would have someone out Tuesday and have the service manager contact me. No show and no call. Calling to cancel today. Find someone else!

If I could give a negative number for their service I would!! Let me start by saying that my evaluation is in no way reflective of my dealings with any of the lovely women in the office...specifically Christina G. who has always been very helpful, pleasant and POLITE.... something that the supervisors Anthony, Gary and their EXTREMELY rude "TECH" LYN could learn from!!! I was scheduled to have a service today. I was sitting in my back yard and I saw the Modern pest person spraying my next door neighbors yard....I walked over to see why he was doing the wrong yard when the rude little tech "LYN" came running up and began yelling at me saying "I know, I know he's doing your neighbors yard!! I started TRY to say that I wanted to show him the email that is sent out from THEIR office saying "that the treatment is an application of liquid residual along the perimeter your yard"... under trees, bushes etc where tics and mosquitos harbor." THIS IS A DIRECT QUOTE FROM THEIR EMAIL THAT THEY SEND EVERY MONTH!! WELL DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT BECAUSE THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY DO!!!! Once they get here they only spray bushes or trees leaves as high as the spritzer will reach!! They do NOTHING to the perimeter, nothing around the shrubs by our pool...they didn't even spray our AREA they sprayed our neighbors!! He immediately flew off the handle screaming at me asking if I had been talking to my neighbor on the other side who I found out had asked him about not doing the perimeter of her yard the week before!! He proceeded to tell me his boss told him not to deal with us and he got in his truck and left!! Had his boss apologized for his employee screaming at a customer I might have not written a review HOWEVER, he spoke with my husband who was upset by this "techs" behavior and this Gary person claiming to be a supervisor stated that "Lyn" was tired of getting yelled at!! Well, I'm not sure who has been yelling at this poor little "tech" but I've never laid eyes on him before nor have I ever spoken to him before!! And shame on this Gary for providing such horrible customer service and allowing this "tech" to treat a paying customer that way!! When my husband suggested that they send someone else to do the treatment this Gary (supervisor ?) said it would be better to cancel the service! GOOD RESOLUTION GARY!!! WE NOW KNOW WHY THEIR SERVICE NEVER WORKED...THEY HAVE PROBABLY BEEN DOING THE WRONG HOUSE ALL ALONG!!! STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY COULDN'T CARE ANY LESS FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS IF THEY TRIED!!!!! I'm not sure who would have given them a good review probably their family members!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

We used to use a local service provider but it was purchased by this company. The service drops to unacceptable level mainly its terrible front front office. It takes over 15 mins to get a phone answered and what they told me is the service I asked for is not under contract. We had the similar problem 5 years ago that was solved by the previous provider quickly.

Didn't leave a "flag" letting me know they had treated for ants in the spring. Had to call to get an email receipt for this service. Needed a wasp nest removed,they didn't show up on the promised date. Had to call them to reschedule, because they "forgot" to call me about the missed appointment. Note; the technician who removed the nest did a great job.

They came out and we talked about my concerns. After I explained what was going on, the rep from Modern Pest explained that my issue was very likely a one-time thing and did not require treatment. I'm not an entomologist, I don't know a ton about bugs and pests, which is why I called the pros. They could have fleeced me on this and they didn't. If I have any pest problems in the future, they're going to be first on my list. A+ for integrity, the world needs more folks like this.

I was in a bind with bats that got in the house and I had to be in another state by afternoon and they were so kind to help me out with changing their schedule so I wouldn't have to leave my kids home with the bats. These guys are running a racket. $99 for a visit where they tell you what you know..."I have mice". Then they misidentified a squirrel in my attic and said it would be 2 weeks for someone to come and cost $750 to remove it. I called one other place, the guy told me it was not a squirrel, but a flying squirrel and told us how to catch it ourselves. We used a rat trap and caught it in 5 days. Savings of $725 dollars. Don't use Modern Pest.

I hired them to do some squirrel trapping around my building for a week. They failed to remove two of the traps and it resulted in an animal be caught and dying of starvation. Not humane. When I called them they were unresponsive and my wife had to go remove the traps and dead animals because it was disturbing our tenants. They advertise a 100% satisfaction guarantee, but only offered me a 25% refund. As a business owner myself I understand thar mistakes are made, but when you hold yourself out there ad providing excellent customer service you have to follow through and provide excellent customer service and admit your mistakes. something they have certainly not done.

Zero value for your high $ spent. This company makes lot of promises and does well with selling but LACKS accountability, ownership, followup & follow through. To be honest and blunt they area complete "Waste of Money and Time". the first guy comes in to measure the property line, second guy comes in week after and has me give him a walk through again (do not understand the value of first guy come in?) and broken equipment and he leaves comments - status as job complete. How is all this even right? I had to call them and have them correct that because your guy left stating equipment is broken. In the last 30 days; I had spoken to more than 4 people over the phone, 3 individuals visited the house because they fail to do a proper transition and our names on the account as primary and secondary account holders are so messed up that when we call the 1-800 number they call you a name that is almost a JOKE. I had a manager call me saying we will do this right and i will make it a point to come visit myself and gave me a spiel but then i get a phone call day later to reschedule for a day two weeks out that suits their schedule the best and find out the Manager" guy is not even going to come out to as promised??? I wonder is its hard to ask them to get their story right and deliver to what they committed in the first place. I strongly recommend folks who are considering them to be absolutely sure of what you are getting into and be 100% direct and stern with these guys if you want to avoid a runaround and get your value for the money you are about to give them.

I can confirm the recent terrible reviews. Legacy company Pest RX has been absolutely ruined by Modern Pest. They have gone from 4 visits per year to 3 while at the same time increasing the annual fee. Basic math says I am paying more for less service. In addition, the service visits are not as complete. I had to ask to have them check the bait stations. The new approach is to only check certain times of year. Compound this with no communications on the changes and abysmal customer service and you get a picture of a company in disarray. When I called to discuss with them the only response I got was "you still get the same guarantee".

You’re better off having termites eat your entire house than you are spending any money with this company. I purchased this service through a different company that was then purchased by modern pest services. I had a contract with my old company and they were checking on my traps monthly for 16 months. When guarantee took over they stopped coming out to check my house even though I still have termite activity all around my house. Even though I have monthly reports and some times weekly reports from the beggining showing a monthly check up. I also have my old contract that states monthly checking of traps. gary Oakes the area manager refuses to send out a technician to check on the old traps and will not address the termite problem that came back this spring. He tells me his only responsibility is to send someone out once a year and if there are termites all they can do is check the traps. I’m still being charged a monthly fee and I’ve sent at least 5 emails and many many phone calls and no one can even tell me when my monthly payments will stop or show any kind of paperwork that I even have an account with them. Don’t know what I’m paying for any more but if I could leave zero stars I would. Go to Home Depot and buy the exact same traps and put them around your house for $5 each. Don’t spend over $2000 for this service.

Very inflexible when scheduling appointments (they will not give you a time window, so you have to be home all day, if you want them to treat the interior of your home). Also, be aware that when you cancel your contract, they charge you the full quarterly service fee, even if all they do is pick up equipment. For us, it was a very expensive service (over $800 paid) that did not adequately address our issue (mice in the house)

After years of moderate neglect, my little cabin in the woods needed some TLC. First up: eject the unwanted tenants in the attic and basement! Modern Pest’s pest control division checks in every three months to deal with wasps and mice (an ongoing battle!). MP’s wildlife division handled a thorough remediation of the animals nesting in my attic. All entry points sealed off, nests and excrement scrubbed away, surfaces disinfected and sealed so that no new critters will come sniffing around and try to settle in. It’s the first time in decades that I haven’t been afraid to take a peek in the attic! Dana, Mike and their team were thorough, professional, helpful, and informative. You can tell that they really care about getting the job done right.

Have been using Modern Pest control for years. I’ve enrolled in their maintenance prevention program as we have a continuous problem with wasp nests, ants and field mice. It would be helpful if the home owner were present for the inspection otherwise things may get missed. However, I would still recommend this company
