Some of the best hiking and camping around. Lots of hidden places that are well off the beaten path and one doesn't have to deal with the crazy crowds of more well known destinations. The forest is managed well and they do an excellent job of making the wilderness available to everyone, while also conserving the land. Spectacular views to be had on the backcountry hikes and you won't be tripping over hundreds of casual tourists up there.

We took a VERY scenic drive through this forest on the way from Yellowstone to Cody and it did not disappoint. The scenery and vistas were absolutely amazing. It seemed like we stopped after nearly every switchback along the road to get what we thought was an even better photo opp. We didn't do any hiking but the drive was totally worth it!

A bit overshadowed by Yellowstone and Teton NP, this mountainous forest area still has many amazing trails and places to visit. A great place to see some wildlife away from the hordes of people in the parks to the west.

Peaceful 2 days spent in Big Game campground. Good base to hit Cody events from, and plenty of shade, compared to the 2 campgrounds in Buffalo Bill park. No showers, but pit toilets. Tent camping was no sweat. Stunning views in the area; we will go again and explore more.
