As you know, we do not usually bother to place tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Very beautiful and clean. Water provided by old pumps, no electrical or sewer, small outhouse in each loop. Camp host was very friendly.

Two years ago, 2013 we traveled some 17,000 miles in five months. The Prune Creek campground was one of the most memorable. A moose was foraging in the stream in the campground. Will plan on another visit this year, 2015.

Spent a night at Prune Creek Campground in mid 90's and never forgot how pretty it was. Going back this September (2013) to recapture the memory.

Really beautiful campground, not very crowded when I was there and looked like good fishing.

It was the first "assigned" campsite I have been to in about 10 years. Usually my family goes deep into the woods and looks for a level spot in a meadow. It was just my 7 yr old son and myself, and we had an amazing time. Very cute stream just behind our tent, he had a good time jumping from rock to rock and i enjoyed the relaxing sounds. It was close to the HWY so i thought that might bother me, but i didn't hardly notice. The host were very nice and did a good job checking the restrooms through out our stay. I felt very safe there. Looking forward to going back very often.

Awesome campground at high elevation in Bighorn National Forest. Spacious sites, clean bathrooms, nice stream across back of campground.

Amazing drive in camp sites are spaced appropriately and only $15 per tent per night. Very beautiful.

One of our favorite CG on mtn. Developed with central water, pit toilets, tables and fire-rings; no HU. Lots of moose and wildlife to enjoy. Several sites for 40'+. Just off hwy so a bit of road noise. NO cell service for 15+ miles in these mountains .. good or bad depends on your perspective. Lucy moosy and Daffy calfy kept us corralled for 3 days!

Gerry Rhoades

Really nice campground, plenty of space between sites, several sites right on the South Tongue River.

Best kept secret of Wyoming!

Timothy Porter

Great spot, must go for campers...

Erica Erickson

Beautiful, nicest pit toilets we have ever experienced, stream access and nice hiking up the mountain to a clearing. The highway noise and playful screaming all day until about 11:30pm from Camp Bethel across Hwy 14 made it hard for us to sleep in our tent (even with earplugs) one night. If you see school buses at Camp Bethel, keep driving

Andrew Conrad

Easy access and clean!

Incredible scenery, very nice campground

Truth is, I'd like to give my favorite place in the West a really poor rating just to keep the people away, but Prune Creek is our home [very far] away from home. A little slice of heaven where you can spend your days driving and hiking peaks, and your nights being swallowed up by endless stars while you listen to the creek tumble and trip all over itself. Dine with moose who invite themselves to breakfast and dinner both.

This is our 4th year love this place so did my momma, whom we spread her ashes here.

This was the highlight to Bighorn National Forest. The whole wide running creek could be heard throughout the night. It added to that list fear and help with a great night sleep. This is a must, if you love nature.
