Beautiful.
Bison, free hot spring baths, and beautiful scenery. What else do you need? The free bath house allows 20 minute baths (every 2 hours) with a sign-in sheet. The 20 minutes was plenty of time. Towel rentals are $1. Drive around the park and keep an eye out for herds of bisons. A super cool place, would definitely visit again.
Great place to go and relax and soak up the minerals.
That area has several mineral hot springs to bathe and swim in. The park has several trails to safely walk on and roads throughout to view wildlife.
Always a great experience!!! Dont miss the suspension bridge!!!
Very interesting formations along the river Pretty flower gardens and hot springs
Friendly service. Actually big concreate pools filled with the natural spring water. The water was very warm but it felt good
Fine still there
Lovely place to stay and visit. Lots of very interesting things to do around this friendly Western town. The folks here are awesome.
Entrance to the park sets the tone for the whole experience. I'm not sure how a road could get worse before someone decided to fix it.
Wonderful. Smaller park, beautiful views,
Water temperature stays about 104 degrees. Pools are clean. Nice staff.
Good place to visit and take pictures. Has mineral springs there. If every your near Thermopolis, Wy, visit the park.
Park is nice can walk around read a little bit of the history there. Pet friendly. Some trails you can walk as well. Has kids playground good place for a little afternoon picnic. Hot springs are neat to look at can not get in them though. However the state bathhouse is right there it is free to get in water feels great. Can soak up to 20mins there. More for people without kids. However there is 2 other places right next to it. For a small fee you can get in and swim around in the hot spring water. Those 2 are more for kids. Have water slides and stuff.
A must see if in Thermopolis
Free bath house provided an opportunity to experience the hot springs. Iowa doesn't have those.
A great place to go. My daughter came to visit and that is where she went while I was at work.
This is a special place that needs to be expierenced. It has changed so much in the last 6 years. It's amazing how nature changes over the years
Nice little get away
Great for these sore muscles! Everyone was pleasant and nice to see so many having fun.
Gosh it was sure a nice day here. Wish I could have stayed for another day or two to explore. Did get some pictures and hope to go back. It's a nice place for anyone to visit, from young to old, families to singles. Sitting in the mineral water felt so good.. Lots to see and do..
Hot Springs state park is amazing the Buffalo reserve the hot water Best place on Earth
Beautiful place to visit! So clean and refreshing. You can float the river starting in June. There's lil pit stops along the way. You can fish ! People are just so sincerely friendly and welcoming. There's the so hot springs to soak in. See the buffalo and deer. The swinging bridge. There's water slides for kids.
Absolutely beautiful park. Extremely well maintained. Great park staff. I love this place.
!Excellent!lots of history.also its functional. Nice relaxing and refreshing!!awesome views!good place to relax for a couple 4 days!
This park is wonderful. One of the best free Parks I've seen. Walk the springs and see the amazing mineral deposits. Go to the bath house and enjoy a free twenty minute soak- your body will thank you!
Epic beauty, cool suspension bridge
awsome
Had a great time went swimming and got to see bison
Amazing I cant wait to come back. There was lots of fun for the kids
Hot Springs State Park is beautiful, filled with wildlife and the hot springs are perfectly hot. Come see the buffalo and deer, cross the bridge, swim in the hot springs, and enjoy the calm weather. When you're done, have a burger and beer at the One Eyed Buffalo and visit the dinosaur museum.
Great hot springs! Great scenery
Always great. Friendly and helpful staff
Beautiful area worth stopping for a few hours. The Safari Bar is really incredible with how many animals they fit in there.
Unique beauty on self guided tour
It's kept up , looks good
Wonderful scenery, make sure to visit before going to yellowstone instead of right after
Towels at bathhouse were too small. Water was great!
Three great hot springs in walking distance of each other. The state one is free but limited to 20 min soaks. The other two have very reasonable pricing. We visited the star plunge and paid $30 for two adults and a kid. This one also had the fastest water slide I have ever been on....
Beautiful !! Make sure and visit if you can.
Nostalgic! Teepee pools better than starplunge. Cheaper and laid back. Less overcrowded. Park is green and full of tables and trees. Buffalo viewing drive through. Hotsprings boardwalk. Swinging bridge. Great hidden gem with plenty of room for everyone.
Interesting to see and gorgeous geological hot springs with information on stations throughout. A must see!
I love the area, it is clean and I love the scenery! They have modern clean public restrooms and a fun play park by the walkway as wl! Ican only imagine looking at it all the time! How beautiful!
Loved it I can't wait to go next summer.Soaking was amazing... The Lady in the visitors Center was so nice, thatalone made our day. Just a wonderful place over all. Don't forget to take your Bathing suits and towels y'all. Be aware that in order to go,there is a hight clearance for those of you that have extremely tall RVs
I love this place, it's beautiful, spacious, and fun. If you're in Thermopolis out just passing through this is a great place to stop for a stretch of a picnic.
The place is a good spot to do picnics and bring children, too much-loved for a place like that.
Beautiful drive, love the buffalo's. Great place for a weekend mini vacation
Great winter weekend. Also eat at the one eyed Buffalo downtown Thermoplis, Great!
Great place for the whole family! Pet friendly also. Stop if you can!!!
Beautiful canyon with whitewater rafting. Gorgeous Windriver
One of the greatest natural parks.
My whole family loves going here. From picnics to swimming or just walk around awesome place
FRICKEN BEAUTIFUL it's like a very small version of Yellowstone just less visitors and no bears it's an amazing walk around wooden planks that's on hotsprings terraces and the people there are extremely friendly. Extremely pet friendly I would recommend bringing your dogs for a nice refreshing walk and the best part is you can go swimming in the river during the summer or winter due to the fact that the hotsprings flows into the river. There's a beautiful hotspring there that houses (believe it or not) beautiful large koi fish that you can feed and honestly it's very very peaceful. I would recommend the walk for any age but please just remember to follow the rules of the park. I dont want the park ruined for later generations because this place is so beautiful.
Worth stopping at if you have time, like no other place in the USA that I have been, and I have been all over the country, been driving truck for 45+ years!!!
Beautiful and awesome place :)
Very scenic with great walking paths. Takes your breath away! Awesome place to spend the day!
Nice park!
So beautiful!!! The hot tabs are so relaxing!!
Wonderful hot spring
Beautiful and unique place for those who appreciate natural wonders.
This park is beautiful. There are two pay concessions that offer Hot Springs swimming and hot tub’s. But the state run hot springs pools are free. They have clean bathrooms and showers. We really enjoyed visiting this beautiful park.
It's a pleasant enough park and if you want to swim or bath in the mineral waters it's fine. We didn't but did want to see the bison. No luck, they were hiding.
Very scenic and relaxing. Historic
It was very good!
Excellent place to wind down from the road and relax. Good vibes spiritually!
We absolutely LOVE this place!
Great area. You can swim and play near the boat ramp. The trails from here lead to some fantastic spots with cool geologic features.
Never been there before. Hot spring formations are so interesting. Didn't have enough time to explore as much as I'd like to have explored the area.
For a free service this is great. There is an outdoor and indoor hot spring that you can use for free. The changing facilities are not we'll kept up and do not provide much privacy.
This is fantastic and the public pools are excellent. Water is piped to some of the area hotels too, which is nice. Fall or spring is the best time to visit. This is one of the smellier hot springs around, but that is just how it is. The water feel great on your skin and is very healing.
Park keeps busy. Has hot spring pools, water slides, group area, clean abundant restrooms, plenty of parking, river walk and buffalo lookout where you can actually see buffalo ... some fairly close up ... I drove within 100 feet. I was there for June festival. Very happy with park employees on efficiency, cleanliness, service. Kids area, plenty of benches and tables. Lots of green grass. Great for family outings or quiet time.
I thought this was a great city park. While we were there the springs we're not running and the river was flooding. The park grounds were beautiful however with historic notes and plaques throughout. You also can feed the Koi fish in the ponds. We went into the public pool area where the staff seemed very friendly and the facility appeared very clean, we did not go I,to the pools as our kid wanted to go to the slides.
Hot Springs you can actually bathe in, unlike Yellowstone for example. Great facilities. There's several options: the state of Wyoming Bath House, free, with an indoor pool as well as an outside one, with showers and changing rooms, as well as free WiFi and tourist info; a small water park with pools and slides (don't know the cost, was full of people); and some other springs you can reach with your car, like the white sulphur springs. I recommend touring the road right past the main park sights, where you can see buffalo, walk to lookouts, and see other natural formations like Spirit Cave.
I always enjoy coming there for a swim with the family plus soaking in the hot mineral water helps my joints since I have had 38 surgeries so I can keep walking then we always drive up to see the buffalo which is fun for all ages
I grew up here. Totally beautiful
Beautiful park with immaculate grounds. The mineral terrace and bridge are great, but don't miss the road behind the Star Plunge swimming pool that takes you into the back pasture. In the back pasture the are sometimes bison. Also a Spirit Hole, a Pioneer Graveyard, and some great views of the town from the lookout point.
This place was pretty amazing. Got to see the great Buffalo roaming around like they did in the olden days. Beautiful scenery!
I've been going to this park for many many years always enjoyed it & took kids when young & now they are adults still go.
Really pretty. Very nice place.
Cool park, enjoyed seeing the Bison Herd.
Nice walking paths and views, Quiet in early May
Excellent management and employees
I remember being here as a 3 year old and seeing the steam from the water. I am now 64 and it appears the water is not as hot. My late grandfather Cowboy Hulse is considered one of the pioneers of this town.
It's always nice to visit this park. There's plenty of food, lodging, and recreation options available in the immediate area. You are also only a few minutes drive from the dinosaur museum
Great place to stop for a quick visit. Access is easy and walking trails take you quickly to scenic areas. If you want to stay longer and swim there are two swimming parks to choose from. You can go to the state park bath house if you want to enjoy thermal water for free. Don't leave without seeing the bison.
Old style tourism in the best sense. Not crowded, reasonable prices for accommodations and food, beautiful country.
Absolutely amazing
Three different hot pools, one free to the public -- but swim is limited to 20 minutes, which is sufficient. The state park has a car tour route and short hikes. Two motels within the state park boundary. Lots of things for kids to have fun.
Beautiful awesome water park called the star plunge
It's a small park, but we'll maintained and unique attractions.
Very cool park. There are some nice hot springs to look at and the travertine is pretty. Also if you go up to some of the ponds they are teaming with many big gold fish that the kids had fun playing with.
I just drove thru the park today. Looked good as usual..
This place is so cool. I drive through thermopolis several times a year and figured we'd come up for labor day weekend. Definitely worth it.
Very cool stop if driving through. There is a hot bath house and a mineral pool to swim in with playgrounds
What a cool, interesting stop! "World's largest mineral hot spring" Great, quick road side stop. If you have more time, actually plan a visit!
Nice park, pretty neat to see and visit
Awesome place we had a lot of fun
Awesome place to see the rustic beauty of Wyoming. Hot "pools" nearby including free state baths.
Hot Springs State Park offers both free and paid options for soaking, as well as beautiful mineral deposits, an old swinging walking bridge, wildlife, and views.
Great place to stop in for a soak or picknick
Great park with a lot of sights, free bathhouses and a nice drive through the back country where you can spot buffalo. Amazing that this is free!
Fun place to take your family and there is a big swimming pool where you can actually swim in the hot spring
A great place to spend a few days if you're traveling through this part of the state.
This was a surprisingly interesting and easily accessible park. It was beautiful and the hot springs have created some interesting geological formations. It's definitely worth a day trip to visit.
Great for the whole family
Great place to take a soak in the Bath House and its Free!
Love this place I'd go everyday if I lived in thermos what a awesome natural resource.state bath house is free
What a great place to visit!! Nice little town with two great places to enjoy the natural hot springs! Not to mention that the state bath house is here as well!! A lot of sights to see and enjoy. Definitely a bucket list spot on your way through Wyoming, even if you are from Wyoming!!!
This was a great stop after a week of hiking. It’s a great asset to the state to have a free public bath house
The pools, hot tubs, and slides were all fun and varied. Can't beat the price. And the towel rental is fair for a change.
Love how friendly the staff is. A good place to soak. I took all my kids. And my first grandchild. We loved it and glad I got to sure that with my granddaughter
Always love coming here <3 <3 <3
Had a good time, my kids loved it, water felt great.
Nicely laid out and well kept park. You can swim in some of the hot springs, walk around others. Buffalo roam in part of the park, easy to find and view from your car. Picnic tables.
You must take a dunk in the springs. My skin felt baby soft for a week afterwards.
This is by Thermopolis, WY. I t has a section for the buffalo herd you have to drive around in. It has a large area to walk around in to see the thermal pools, and a free bath house for people to soak in the "hot tubs" . You can also enjoy the regular "heated" pool outside. There is a very large park with picnic areas.
Many hot springs locations, one that is open at no charge to the public, & private-for fee ones, are situated around the area. A Buffalo herd are sometimes visible from roads one can drive through the park nearby.
Great place beautiful any time.ofnyear. Miss the colors on the terraces, and the roads need some tlc otherwise a perfect destination
Beautiful Highway! Must visit. Great park area!
This place is so beautiful had a wonderful time
Awesome place to visit.
Lovely park. Hiking trails and rock salt waterfalls. The bath house is free to use. Just sign in at the front desk with the friendly lady. One changing area for guys, the other side ladies. You get 20 minutes of bliss in either of their therapeutic pools. So worth it! Make sure you’re well hydrated so you don’t overheat. Don’t let the slight sulfur smell scare you off, it’s an experience you’ll remember!
Definitely worth the visit!! Its free to enter. We saw bison up close and touched the hot springs. You can even swim in a pool that's fed by the springs.
Guy at the desk is rude and staff don't seem to wear a uniform? Staff are also have no idea what is happening geologically in this park. Can you please hire staff that are educated and care about the resource?
Although I can barely stand the smell of sulfur, this was a really *cool* place to visit! The formations made from the springs are incredible, and so is the landscape surrounding it. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy submersion in the hot springs because the air temperature was too hot for us, but I would plan on a dip the next time I visit!
Free shower and soak in the hot spring pool.
Interesting, the native American view is as with all of the west inspiring and tragic.
Always fun to visit! I've been coming since I was a child. It's nice to be able to share with my children now
Very BEAUTIFUL.
All documented on "Dale Roger bridendolph" Facebook page. Excellent place!!!!
What a great Mothers day gift!!
Such a cool place to visit.
They always keep the State Park clean. I have spent a lot of time there over my life. They have good accommodations and have the two pools right there. There is also a free bath house which is actually pretty awesome. The whole experience is pretty good and enjoyable.
Free 20 Minute Soak! Bath house pools - One inside & one outside, very comfortable temperatures. Adjoining springs have all day use for a fee. Quiet place in September!
Beautiful scenery and a few buffalo
So beautiful and clean. You get used to the smell! And always take lots of water to hydrate while hiking!!
Love the hot springs. Super pocket friendly and love the star plunge. Plus the buffalo drive is a must see. They also have tons of museums and fun things to do.
Had a great time with my daughters. Fun place to swim
Beautiful place
Nice place to bring the family for a fun day.
Really nice park and the facilities are well kept.
Great get away town.
Always a great time. The staff do a great job of keeping up the park. Probably time to sacrifice a swimming pool to keep the hot spring alive though.
Very cool place I would tell stop best views this Iowan ever seen.
Way cool place
Love visiting the park year round. The views are amazing
This is quite a hidden jewel. Free admission and friendly hosts for a delightful, quiet soak in the natural hot spring waters.
Awesome place had a great time
I loved this place!! More to do here than the hot springs, which are awesome. I walked the boardwalk and over the swinging bridge. Great way to view the mineral springs, deposits, and terraces. Some nice hikes too.
Great for your health and skin unless your allergic or have health issues. Check with your doctor before you go there.
Perfect art and photo veur
Largest natural hot springs, what's not to love? Weird geology, weird smells, weird gypsy automaton, weirder visitors; perfect.
soaked for a couple hours, I am a warm noodle.
One of the must see's when traveling. Our family always has a wonderful time when we go to their pools!
Interesting hot spring formations!
Wyoming - State run free hotsprings. Great place. Large shaded park good for regrouping and relaxing when coming off one mountain range and heading to another. The hot water ends at 5pm.
Thoroughly enjoyed this place.
