This is one of the first stops on the way in from Grand Teton into Yellowstone. The visitor center is here and there are some nice views of Yellowstone lake. It's decent for a quick stop in, but if you don't have enough time if you skip this, you won't be missing out on too much.

Extremely packed in like sardines. No electricity or water, bathrooms are clean

Mike Blakesley

So what makes this campgroud 5-star worthy? It really comes down to one thing: the bathrooms were clean and warm. And they were actual bathrooms, not vaulted outhouses. It also helped that, with the freezing cold temperatures at night, the bathrooms had a toasty heater running--it almost made me want to drag my sleeping bag in there for a while. Another reason that I like this campground is because it's in a great location. Whether you want to head North to the Norris Basin or shoot down to Old Faithful, you'll be able to get there pretty quick.

Shari Cohen

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Grant Village Campground. The sites are very close together and our snoring neighbor sounded like he was in our tent with us! The registration process was easy, although it’s gets very crowded with a line late in the afternoon. The showers were great and if you can get there at 3:00 there is no line after they are reopened after cleaning. Although on the south end of the park, it’s a short ride to old faithful but it took us quite a while to get north to tower. On the plus side it was a quick 1/2 ride to Grand Teton!!

Jeremy Thielen

Love this campground. Very clean and well taken care of. Will be back!

Edward Wink

An outstanding Campground, with great showers and laundry facilities. And all the amenities you need are at the general store nearby.

Alan Stuart

This is in response to Anthony Hathaway and his review of Grant Campground and most of all Alan who he had such a low opinion of. I’m Alan and guess I must of checked Mr Hathaway into his camp site. I apologize if I took too much time checking you in. As you mentioned you were the first day and I came on duty at 2pm. All of the staff was trying to do their best checking in over 170 campsites for the first time. As far as your complaint that the staff piled others campers on top of you—the camp site has over 425 camp sites—-1/2 of the campground was closed due to bear activity and snow. The staff doesn’t have the option to make sure you have a site all by yourself. The National Park Service is responsible for policing the campground and if you remember I told you to call 912 if you had an issue. Again I apologize if my failure to make you happy ruined your vacation. Sincerely ALAN

Stayed in the J loop and we had a terrible site. We were right by the bathrooms with people walking through our very small site at all hours and you could also hear the major road noise at this site. So at 3am you can hear 18 wheelers driving. Super small tent only site. Booked for 4 but we stayed for only 2. Showers included but shower facilities are not that clean. Out of 10+ national parks visited this campsite would rate as the worst. Maybe the other loops are better

SJ Jones

An issue with this campground was site location. I would recommend people avoid A loop and B loop. The picnic area road runs parallel to the A loop and when we arrived some people were having lunch at our site, parking on the road and getting to the site from there. This was the main ongoing problem with this portion of the campground, bikes and hikers short-cutting, and it was many times each evening. For B loop (and A loop), there are some kind of park generators (water pumps?) running in the distance all night long. Close enough to irritate A loop for sure and likely B loop.

Seán Hassett

It's about the location! Campground was as we expected. We'll run, clean, informative rangers.

Brad Barrett

Good facilities, but like most Yellowstone campgrounds, the campsites are packed together.

TlF Fritz

Small small sites to get your camper into. No electric hook up. We knew that when we booked our place.

John REID

Large campground and easy to pull thru sites. Comes with two free showers a day.

Lisa Tohline

The location in Yellowstone was beautiful. That said, the lodgings themselves were rather basic. No air conditioning, no elevator, room not terribly large. The Mattress was reasonably comfortable. It also was clean. We got there at 3 for Checkin but our room was not ready until 5.

Sharon Ronkin

Aug 21 to Aug 29th best time to go! Nice days, cold nights. Bring a tent heater! It actually snowed and sleeted one of the days we were there. Our site was awesome, it easily fit our 20x20 tent. it was flat, easy to find and next to bathrooms C104 We liked being right next to bathrooms others may not. I was surprised that 70% of campsites were tent campers. WIFI secret.. Everyone will tell you there is little to no Wifi anywhere in the park. Well we found speedy WiFi with a catch in Grant Village. If you go to the Antelope lodge in Grant Village and stand/sit outside room 2018 you will get fast, solid WiFi You will have to pay $4.95 for an hour or $11.95 for multiple users for 24 hours. We went did this 3 times always between check out and check in and no one bothered us when we told them it was the best place for WiFi. Disappointed that showers didn't open earlier and that general store did not carry inverters. I fried mine and everyone I asked said they knew someone it happened to and that they like us had to drive 2.5 hours to Cody to get a new one. Seems like a no brainer for the general store or repair shop to carry. I hope to visit again one day!!

Aleksey Maslov

Clean, quiet (though it depends on your neighbors) campground in a convenient location close to the Yellowstone Lake. It has laundry, showers, and convenience stores nearby, as well as a couple restaurants. Be prepared, and have warm sleeping bags, as it may be below freezing at night in July.

megan daugherty

This campground is beautiful. We definately enjoyed our stay for 3 nights and 4 days. It was so peaceful during quiet hours I was shocked! I appreciated the quiet hours being from 8-8! The only qualm I had was there wasnt an individual bear box for each campsite. Rather they had shared ones throughout. I understand with 500 campsites it would be hard. But I didn't plan on keeping my food in my car all week. That was my only bummer! The bathrooms were clean and sanitary.

Michael Harris

Great breakfast with a view over the picturesque lake. Food good and friendly service

Alex Yoon

Location was great, however, room was too small and shower was joke. Food was terrible. You can hear every single food steps in and out of building. For 250+ a night, it could be better.

Cyra Christen

Nice campground. Sites are big enough. There are enough toilets, they clean the toilets once a day. Showers are included but limited per people per night. There is no service or wifi there.

Georg Oberwinkler

We had a great site on the northern end of the campground. Our site had direct lake access and it was possible to hike the lake shore for a few 100 meters. The campground was clean and silent. We even could hear the howling of a wolf.

Craig Miller

Everything you need is right there. Great base camp on the south side of the park. Close to Grand Teton National Park for a day trip as well. Closest camp to Old Faithful.

Andrea Arndt

Beautiful campground. Campsites are slightly crammed together. Most sites are pull through wth driveways too close to the next site's driveway. For half the sites, you have to drive on the loop the wrong way to get camper's door facing the site - a little awkward. Enjoyed campground during midday. Very peaceful and relaxing. Loved the pine trees and the sound of wind though the trees. Very close to conveniences - showers, groceries, gas, firewood, giftshop and restaurant. No electricity, but solar panels made up for that. Great location in Yellowstone to visit Old Faithful, Canyon area and Grand Tetons.

Megan Sills

Small sites that are really close together. We ended up having two awful neighbors. The overall campground is so large that there are no hosts, and there are no nightly patrols to tell people to knock off whatever annoying thing they are doing. Everyone at the main office leaves at 10:00 PM, so if your neighbors are loud or keeping you up in some way past quiet time, you have no resources. Other than that, Grant Village itself is really nice and the showers are great for extended trips. There's lots of trees and we got to hear elk bugling in the mornings. Just know that if you are the type of camper who wants quiet and respect from your neighbors, this may not be the place for you.

Jacob Parker

Great time! Even with the density of the campsites it doesn't seem too crowded and noisy. Beautiful campground with a lot of trees as well as luxurious amenities such as flushing toilets, firewood, a nearby store, and safety from any bears because of the number of people surrounding you. I just wish Yellowstone wasn't so crowded, but even so it was very beautiful and amazing.

Claire Berry

Great location near West Thumb thermal basin. Clean, neat rooms. Always appreciate a fan being provided - and one was. Great stay - recommend. Took a star off because not a lot around to walk to in the Village.

Zack Miller

We had a great time at Grant campground and it is a fantastic location to explore Yellowstone National Park from. The campground was clean, well maintained and provided everything we needed (firewood, showers, bathrooms, laundry…) in close proximity. The staff was very kind, helpful and informative and we had an especially great experience with the elderly lady (Rose?) that staffed the gift shop at the lodge registration. Just make sure to check the weather before your stay and bring lots of blankets and clothes as it can get quite cold during the night.

Niranjan Jadhav

The campground has abundant spaces available. However, even if you reserve in advance you get the site assigned only after you arrive at check-in office. It is close to grocery store and access to showers is available within a mile. The toilets are small near the campsite but cleaner compared to the other places I have been to. Overall good experience.

Grace Elizabeth

Location is good (in the park), though price we paid was pretty expensive for lack of amenities. No AC, we had to ask multiple times for extra linens, shower was dirty and it looked like it had soap scum or mold in it (very small amount). One device may use WiFi per room and that’s it, which was an issue for our 5 person family. Nice that it was close to west thumb geysers and old faithful though.

RIPAN BHOWMIK

Very good location... one of the best campground at Yellowstone .. hot and cold shower , flash toilet.. laundry. Almost 400 sites.. if you planing to go in the weekend make sure make reservations.. almost full every day July and August...

Tom Simpson

Stayed for two nights at the end of August in a tent. Upon arriving, we were assigned a campsite which was located right behind a bathroom. Since we didn't want to have foot traffic through our campsite, all night, we went back and asked to be moved. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and after a few questions. we were moved to a campsite on the other side of the road. Grant Village is a pretty large campground with bathrooms located throughout. Bathrooms were clean and stocked, and all have dish washing stations located between the two sides. Two free showers per day was great for my wife and I. If we had any more people with us, I might have complained about paying for a shower. The shower/laundry facilities are located outside the entrance of the campground, which means you have to drive (or take a long walk) to get there. The shower facilities were also very clean, but be sure to bring your own soap/shampoo, and a towel. It takes a little time for the water to heat up (we were there when they first opened up, though).

Brittany Reid

We are at a restaurant and had excellent friendly service. Plus, the lady at the post office was extremely sweet.

Seth Prouty

Nice wooded sites. Bathrooms clean, but no hot water. Some folks don't respect quiet hour or families with small children, but the visit to Yellowstone is worth all that.

Isaiah Myers

it wasnt a 4 star ranking hotel it wasnt right for me

Brady Cartwright

Large rv sites and the hosts were very helpful. Great location and very clean bathrooms.

Marty Crawford

Nice facilities. Easy access to water, bathrooms were cleaned daily, flushing toilets. Showers, laundromats, restaurant, and groceries are all nearby.

Ric Steiner

Just a wonderful place with a great staff.

Yair Bentovim

Amazing campground! The toilets in each loop were constantly cleaned and well maintained. the tent only loops really gives you the wild experience. expect wildlife to wonder through. Showers are placed just outside of the campground.

Lillian L

It's a great olace

Elvis Yang

Hotel was okay. The fancy restaurant food was overpriced for the quality. The lake house restaurant which has cheaper food was terrible though.

venkatesh kadiyala

One of the best campgrounds that I have visited. Has all the facilities in the village including showers which are clean and they are near by to the campsites Very knowledgeable rangers , they can help you to find places to explore

Jegan Mohan

Amazing views. Good amenities. They even have wifi

Christophe LAVIELLE

Nice campground, really hard to get a spot with booking way before you arrive. Some spots are really minimalist.

diksha narahari

This campground is huge !. The showers are located just outside the campground. The registration services were helpful and courteous. There are loops from A-L and accommodate every size of transport. Hikers and Cyclists can be arranged for as well. Its located near two restaurants, one is fancy with reservations and one is a casual fast dining option , both with amazing views of Yellowstone Lake.

Heidi Hill

Be ready for no hook ups and more rustic camping. Clean bathrooms, great laundry, and close to shopping and restaurant.

Mary Chiaretta

Nice campground

Anthony Souto

Clean campground with a clean restroom near by. The sites are large with a fire pit and a picnic table. A nice little area to park your car.

brian sears

Ok accommodations, good location

Tom Chapman

They boarded up are window in the morning and they make alot of noise at 8 am. Very disappointed. Refrigerator did not close and the sink was leaking.

T K

Not a big fan of this place, worst of our stays in the park. We had the deluxe room and it was TINY. Smallest "queen" beds I've ever seen and the room itself was very small. And good luck taking a shower in that shoe box if you're over 100 lbs and don't do yoga. I know you should be spending a lot of time in your rooms in the park, but there isn't even a place to sit and eat anywhere on the property other than your tiny room and the lounge is just a bar in the dining room.

Michael West

Very nice. Space I301 is right on the lake.

Daniel Li

Grant village has terrible reception and the rooms have pretty bad acoustics. It's too easy to hear the neighbors.

Scott Winters

We've camped at Grant Village many times at up to a week each time in our pop-up camper--love the location within the park. Ideal location with convenient facilities, however my idea of convenient may not be the same as yours. Camping is rustic, may be a bit of a walk to the restrooms or to get water/wash dishes, drive to the showers/laundry/store, no water or electrical hook-ups. But that's part of the fun of it! Very cool at night, camper heater kept everything comfortable. When your battery finally runs down after 3 - 5 nights, bring it to the gas station in the morning and they'll have it recharged by the afternoon!

Tom Brander

A bit more laid back and smaller than some of the other large hotel villages. Still has a wide selection of stores.

Sharolyn Troutman

Nice basic room, but way to expensive. My granddaughter thought the stuffed bear on the bed was for her - and after paying $257.00 for one night I thought it should have come with the room. As expensive as everything is, I hope they pay their help well, they do a very good job taking care of the rooms. The staff that I came in contact with were very courteous.

Olayinka Oladimeji

Great camping experience. We stayed for an extended weekend

Benny Hayes

Just stopped for food and had a great experience dining at the LakeHouse. The bison burger was delicious and I would eat again.. if I ever ended up back there! Friendly people

Stephen Bard

we recently spent 3 nights at the Antelope Lodge of Grant Village. The room was rustic and basic but accommodated 4 of us comfortably. I was excited to find a hair dryer provided. There was a fridge which we unplugged because it was a little loud for sleeping. Also, keurig machine and fan to keep the air moving at night. Ice and vending was in the lobby. It was clean and the staff was helpful when I needed extra plastic bags for ice for our cooler. I would also add that the Grant Village Gift Shop and restaurant had great shopping. One night on the trip we had a hard time finding food in the park that everyone could agree on. We arrived at the gift shop restaurant 3 minutes before closing and they welcomed us in very graciously and made sure we got fed; even urging us not to feel rushed. They did the same thing for a family who came in behind us. We thought the breakfast buffet at the Lake restaurant was overpriced on our first morning, but as we explored other options, we found we were paying close to or more to a la cart breakfast and were not getting as much food as the buffet. While it may seem at first that Old Faithful area is where you want to be, it was nice to get to a quieter location at the end of the day. We would definitely recommend the Grant Village area.

rae liang

Awesome camp ground. Very nice shower and laundry facilities. We had a wonderful time here. Also the location is close to the old faithful geyser area.

Igor Egaña

Clean room, poor amenities, quite expensive. However, this is one of the best locations for family trips in the Park.

Scott P

Very nice place. Little pricey, but to be expected with the great location.

Willis Chung

Stayed 5 days, and enjoyed it! Pretty good drive from the Old Faithful area, but it is the closest campground with full facilities, so there you have it! Staff at check in very professional and friendly, with lots of advice on places to visit and where animals were recently sighted. Bathrooms at the G and H loops are clean and modern, with an electric heater to take the chill off. There is hand sanitizer and an electric hand dryer. Bonus! Showers and laundry are at a nearby modern building that is clean and efficient. You get two showers per night of camping, check in on the laundry side first. The showers are clean and there is plenty of hot water with no timer. Body gel is provided in dispensers in the shower, so just bring your shampoo. Nearby General Store is decently stocked for both souvenirs and food. I can highly recommend the mechanics at the nearby Auto Service Center as honest, fast, and good. A very nice place to be based while visiting the southwest side of the park.

Todd Mckinney

Very shady camp ground love it

Rebecca McGuire

Take me back!

Stephen Schur

We had a GREAT time in Grant Village Campground. Grant was a good place to camp just before continuing to Grand Teton. The camp site came with two hot showers a day, very welcome after doing without for a few days. There are trails right down to the lake and plenty of firewood nearby. We got in late the first night and had a pleasant dinner at the Grant Village Lake View restaurant, nice views at sunset. There's a walkable-to visitor centre with an amphitheatre for those interesting ranger talks. West Thumb is a good choice for a nearby jaunt.

Jp denboer

Great campground! We had some elks on our campsite

Dan Meinhard

A stay in tents in August of 2009 was fun, a bit wet, some snow, thunderstorms almost every day, but much fun. Our site had a bit of a bowl shape to it so water flooded out one of our two tents on site. The site was clean, some prior camper debris and bottle caps, but no needles, drug paraphernalia, or other grossness. The campground is located close to the West Thump shoreline of Yellowstone Lake. I hiked this area early in the morning to the east, then followed the shore up to where Big Thumb Creek flows into a bay. I hiked around the bay, crossed the creek and enjoyed the views. One can smell the vents spewing the sulferous steam in many areas off the path. It is best to stay clear of them. Mule deer, eagles, elk, and plenty of trout were all viewed in my morning hike from Grant Village north. There are some utility easements cut through the forest to make travel a little easier. That is where I saw the deer, and then along the shore. The Bald Eagle showed up across a small bay and I carefully stalked him to get a few good shots before he was spooked by my activities. All in all Grant Village was a great stay. I'll be back to this park again. It is a great park, just wish it wasn't so busy and full of traffic on the roads. The hike off the road was just what one needs.

David H Steinbrugge

I would say loved it except the campground is in dire need of being rebuilt. Little run down due to age. But we of course loved the national park and enjoyed our stay at the campground. Never had any problems with loud people at night. The bathrooms were fairly modern and clean.

The EyeGuy

My wife and I camped for about a week with the RV. The spots are pretty close to one another so make friends with your neighbors and be considerate of your neighbors. Fresh water stations and wash stations for cleaning kitchen stuff were easily accessible. There are no hookups for RVs in this campsite, so be aware when planning. There is a grey/black water discharge near the camp entrance and behind the gas station that you pass along the way into the campsite. We used the one behind the gas station as there was no line. Great location, we did day trips from Grant Village all over the park.

Michael Ord

Stayed last year and going back next week. Clean and well kept.

happy wanderer

If you enjoy a campground site the size of a postage stamp where your neighbor's picnic table is within arm's reach, then Grant campground is for you. I prefer more privacy and abandoned Grant for another campground.

Paul Ranges

The park rangers were able to find us a tent space at a very short notice. We travel on motorcycles and don't know how far we'll make it on a day to day basis,,, so its almost impossible to make reservations.

Jake Thielen

Very courteous staff and weren't bothered during our camp. Make sure you take all food with you when you leave the campsite as we received a citation for improper food storage from the park rangers.

Steven Castleberry

The worst campsite ever imagined. Nearly 500 campsites in the area of a Walmart parking lot. Lines for everything. The showers are 1000ft from the campground entrance, so you have to drive to them. Horribly located, bad staff, bad everything.

Shyam Patel

Nice campground. Friendly staff.

Searing George

We were the first people there right as the season began, showed up early and got our spot before 2 pm. The guy who rung us up took FOREVER and did not know what he was doing, his name was ALAN. Instead of giving us some space at our campsite, the staff decided to pile in the next few guests RIGHT NEXT to us. We went from having a lone campsite to being next to 4 other campers, their campground has 350+ sites. There was a couple in a Mercedes van that was running their generator all night and in the morning (6 am) they were idling (letting their engine run) in the campsite for about an hour. Both of which are against the "rules". So it would seem that the staff there isn't working or enforcing the rules. No one patrolled near our campsite the entire night. They say they patrol the campsite to confiscate coolers that have been left out because of the Bears. I guess this staff didn't care about our safety. I had to take care of the irresponsible guest myself and told him that there was "no idling" in the campsite; an unpleasant experience for anyone on vacation. I'm sorely disappointed by the example set by these "Rangers". I'm never setting foot in this park again. It's seriously appalling no one takes pride at this precious park. FOR SHAME!

Andrew Debnar

We had our food to go. Friendly staff and fast.

Y R

Very nice camp ground. We stayed there for one night. There was a fire pit and a picnic table. The ground was mostly rocky so tent pins were difficult to insert. Our area was somewhat open, a few pine trees surrounding the camp site. The bathroom facilities were mostly clean and included dump sites and water access. The shower was about a 2-3 minute drive away from the campsite. When compared to our other campsite, Bridge Bay, it was not as nice. The roads at bridge bay were a little nicer and the bathroom facilities were cleaner as well. Also bridge bay was very close to the lake, so the view was nice. The tree cover was much more dense and the ground was very soft at Bridge Bay.

Adam Buchanan

I was incredibly disappointed in the inflexibility of the staff here. We got to the campground about 3 hours ahead of the rest of our group, who were coming from the opposite side of the country/park from us. When we got there, I asked if we might be able to check in, as we had three small kids and didn't want to sit around and wait 3 hours for the rest of our group. First, the employees had never checked in a group campsite (not sure how, because there are tons of them and they're always full), and had to consult "the manual." They informed us we could not check in without the person who had made the reservation. Even though we had the name of the person, their address, etc. We even had her call in from the road to put my name on the reservation. Nope. Refused to budge because it was "in the manual." They didn't try to make it work for us, just said we were out of luck. No apologies either, not then or when our group got there. So, I was very disappointed by lack of customer service. We stayed one night, then got very soggy (a few of our groups' tents leaked), and ended up switching to some cabins instead. That ended up being much better (and better customer service).

Nelson Daley

Very crowded but nice to have a place in yellowstone. Showers are open from 7 a.m.to 9 p.m. which is when we were exploring the park. Restrooms were decent with your standard fast food restaurant amenities. Very cheap toilet paper and no paper towels. Spaces were tights for rv's but good for tents.

marek gabonay

I stayed at Grant Village for 3 nights in their campground. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a wifi connection and you have to pay for it. The bathrooms are clean not so close to the campground so you need to use your car. The opening hours are not so friendly to someone who is coming "late" to the camp, or to the Grant Village. Prices in grocery stores are ok. The campground was good but expect rough surface. There are BBQ places that you will enjoy. Grant Village is aprox. 45 min. to the biggest attraction - Old Faithfull Geyser. I think it is a good point for your trips to the geysers and lakes.

Jacob Copps

Food was great, service was a little slow, especially considering that there were only a few other tables. Good place to stop in yellowstone.

Google User

Very clean sites....short walk to the lake.....large enough for multiple tents or tent & trailer combinations. A short drive to amenities, showers and laundry. Close to West Thumb and Old Faithful. Not a central location, like Canyon Village....but much less busy. Temperatures can vary greatly....in early July we had mid 70's plus in the day then down to mid 40's and even mid 30's at night. Stayed here 4 nights and it was a great base camp for Yellowstone.

Folkert Martens

Busy, crammed and difficult to reserve (always full). Toilets sub-par.

Stephen Bolish

Another fine establishment run by greed. Over priced lodging with poor, dorm-like, accommodations. The front desk clerk was friendly enough. For the price, the beds should have been luxurious, not saggy. Pillows are worn out and flat. Rooms have the run-down feel of a poorly maintained motel. Generally would have gotten a better night sleep in the car. The photo of the room on the park website was not taken in the 70s... it's pretty accurate. Track lighting and all.

John Belbeck

Very nice campground with an excellent showers and laundry just a few minutes walk from the office. Spacious sites, but no hook ups. Tours available from the visitor centre. Potable water available near sites. Grounds are very nice with some treks nearby but most trails and attractions are a drive away, just so big.

A A

No hot water, but they have lots of fat bugs.

Melissa Bryant

The tent only camping is amazing. Firewood was $8 a bundle, which was okay for a quick fire that evening. Bathrooms were nice and warm and clean. The tent sites are quite large. You really don't notice your neighbors at all. The campground employees had a known presence monitoring the campground activity, which was nice!

Renée Galyean Campbell

Close quarters, not much privacy, and the bathroom is minimal— you'll hear your neighbor's entire conversation, which I suppose is the trade off for camping in an established campground in a place as popular as Yellowstone. The two showers that come with the price of admission at Grant Village campground is pretty sweet (I guess that's why they charge $30 per night)! We'd probably stay again, because, why not? It's Yellowstone and it's an adventure.

rob lerner

Very nice. More than I expected.

Jose DeSousa

Great place for you or family members to camp at in Yellow Stone Park. With room for tents or RVs, they even have showers for you to enjoy while you stay at this camp site.

Cindy San Miguel

Camp ground was huge! Showers and bathrooms were clean. A part from loud neighbours after quiet time hours, we enjoyed our stay at Grant village. Staff were pleasant and general store catered for what you needed.

Alex Earl

Such a great campground. The location is perfect. There are plenty of trees and space between camp sites. There is a lake house restaurant, small market and gas station nearby. There are also showers available.

JD L

It was alright. Dead quiet during quiet hours. More of a parking lot in the woods I would describe it as. Very close to many restrooms at multiple sites, close to lots of shops, easy pull through sites, clean facilities. Depends what kind of campground person you are. Good base camp for west thumb geyser, old faithful and fishing bridge.

Jenny Zu

Best Campground ever! We were very lucky to find a place during the holidays in summer. We had our own table with benches and a grill. We cooked dinner and breakfast on it. If you check in you can buy some wood for 8$. We also had a box to hide the food from the bears. We were close to the toilet, which was very clean. Our place was very far behind and we had to walk for 15 min to the warm showers (or take the car). The chipmunks in the morning between the trees were so cute! Even in July it was very cold during the nights, take enough blankets with you and most important: LISTEN TO THE RANGERS! They're trying to protect us from the wild! If you have time, walk along the lake to the reception or amphitheatre. It was great! Thank you so much!

Mark Conklin

Staff was nice. Food was ok. Better places in Fort Yellowstone

Jacob Groveau

They have showers

DJ Eickhoff

Huge line of people waiting to register for their camp sites. Staff made us wait in pouring rain for over 40 minutes and blamed it on old computer software despite only 2 of their 4 windows being opened and the rest of the staff looking as if they were doing busy work in the background. Bathrooms were relatively clean and there were easy access water sources. Shared food lockers between multiple campsites. We were able to snag space, but some of the lockers are pretty small and could pose problems.

Ric Aguilar

busy busy place, everyday, every hour there is a new family popping up setting up tent or rv, always moving...

Dallas Tidwell

Awesome campground! The hosts and employees are all amazing people. The campground is right on the lake and could not be more beautiful!

Thomas Fairley

Great place to camp. Safe.

Shannon McNulty

Stayed here for one night, which was enough for us. You don’t get to choose your campsite but if you want to switch it’s a $25 charge. The site they gave us in the A loop was right next to the bathroom. This was a problem because everyone walked directly though our site to get to the bathroom. It also has zero privacy and very little shade. The site had a fire pit and a place for the tent but that was about it. All in all a pretty bad site. The whole campground was congested and stuffed together. Just not a good experience for us. You get a free shower which was nice and they take cards for firewood and such. It also seemed to be a good place to start out drive through the park.

Jose' Bunzow

Campground was kept so clean and orderly. Rangers were knowledgeable and happy to share experiences. Alice did a great presentation about the stars! We will definitely come back!

Hotel is quite nice. The breakfast at the grill was pretty good. Didn't spend a ton of time at the hotel.

Nice place, you can find all you need to be around Yellowstone National Park

Russ Gipson

Great hiking.

Caleb Peterson

Sites were dusty but very nice. Included 2 free showers.

Jason Hughes

What a great campground. Had elk walk through our campsite.

Grant Village tends to be less crowded than some of the other parts of the park, but this campground will still sell out! The camp is set within the forest on Yellowstone Lake. Showers and laundry are at the check-in point and are a short drive or bike ride away. Restrooms are clean and well maintained.

John Geiss

Primitive site. Bring water

Melissa Leath

Well maintained. Lots of trees for a semi private experience. Lots of on-site firewood. Yellowstone gets very cold at night (34 degree) and the bathrooms are extremely warm all night. One of the best camping sites.

Great campground! The employees were super helpful and nice, campsites were really nice too. I liked that the bathrooms were heated and had had flushing toilets! The dish washing stations were handy and the whole campground was in a great location. We even saw deer and elk wandering through our campsite!

There was no correlation to the room, service and boarding experience to the steep price. However not having any other option had to book this (only handful accommodation within Park). Room wasn't ready even by the check in time at 4 pm which was quite late for me. The tea capsule and whitener had no expire by date and tasted spoilt after making it. Wish I had more options instead of having to pay through the nose for such a tiny old room.

Has a nice general store, The laundromat is within a mile 2 50 to 2.75 to wash 2 00 to dry. 4.77 for a shower, I gave it four stars for cleanliness

Kyle Crossman

Nice enough campground, shower situation is pretty awful though especially if you go during a busy time. Had to wait 10 minutes at 8pm, can't imagine what it'd be like in the morning. And they aren't free

Louise Nielson

Nice facilities for washing dishes and restrooms. The main negative is how close they have made the camping spots

Maverick R

Nice grounds, no hookups. Showers nearby were clean. Long line to register. Took over an hour.

My fiancé is a disabled 26 year veteran of the United States Air Force, we drove over 350 miles to come stay at Yellowstone only yo get turned away because all of the camp sites were occupied after the sign said they were not full!! We are very displeased with the treatment he received!
