Start in beautiful Buffalo, Wyoming and end up in the Big Horn Mountains.

Staying at a campground in Buffalo and wanted to take our two small dogs for a walk so we headed down the road to the beginning of this trail and went a half mile. On our way back we decided to leave the trail and took a path up to a street which lead out to the main road in Buffalo. As we were walking down the side street two dogs came out of their yard and attacked one of our dogs. The owner was sitting in a van on the street in front of where the dogs came out and didn't bother to get out and help. A little girl came out and got a leash on one of the dogs and we were able to get our dog away from the dog attacking her. The lady in the van said she was waiting for the dogs to get in the van when I told her they should be on a leash. A few words were exchanged and we moved on as we wanted to get someplace to check our dog over. Our dogs were on leashes. As of right now I think our dog is ok physically...she may have emotional issues after such an ordeal. Just be aware should you use this trail that there are unleashed dogs nearby. The path along the creek was a very pleasant walk.

I really enjoy walking along this path, it's well groomed, although rocky in places. It's beautiful with the creek running along side it most of the way, and I love all the different wildflowers, butterflies and various wildlife.
