This Park is classified in the category of State park.
Excellent hiking trails with lots of parking at the trail head. $10 for a single day use or only $30 for a yearly pass. I noticed that some trails are open for Bicyclists and Horses, although I don't use either, I like seeing mixed use opportunities. Highly recommend dropping by if you're in Spokane.
Soooo many trails. Hike, bike and horse ride. Camping in spots.
It was nice and quiet there
Great for trail riding or walking about or walking your dog.
It was breathtaking to sit in my camp chair by the turn out and hear and watch the beautiful stream.
Beautifull! Great for hikes and activities year round. Lots of good calm swimming spots all along the trail. Nicely paved path with mid level grades making it a perfect place for longboarding ( skateboarding) and biking. This is actually one of the nicest spots for longboarding I have ever seen- and I grew up skating in San Diego! But be weary some of the cyclists are mean a rude. Even yelling at my kids. They seem a bit territorial like surf- nazis. Plenty of parking but discover pass is required and not available on site.
Great, clean area. I wish they had a map of the smaller trails around though!
Natural beauty and peace.
You can't possibly fit everything you want to see into one day at this trail. We came here with friends from out of town and also had our young children and had an excellent time. The trail has lots of side trails that you can go on and many lead down to the beach. We came in May 2019 and the rapids were moving at a quick pace. It was awesome being able to go down to the shore and have an incredible view. Our young children had a great time running and exploring. The trail at the top after you pass the suspension bridge was really wide. But prior to that it would be hard to have a stroller. We had our youngest in a pack. I would definitely like to go back here and see more of the trails.
This is a beautiful area to bike or hike.
Beautiful. Nice and quiet. Clean
Very nice area for outdoor activities
A great day on the river with a large group for a clean up!
Nice place to take in fresh air.
We really enjoyed our stay. And we highly recommend it to anyone.
Easy in easy out with a 34 foot class A. I saw some 45 foot class A motorhomes about 16 spots good times
Didn't go to every part, but beautiful areas I did get to explore. :)
So beautiful, any time of the year!
Very beautiful park, very clean.
Great quiet park on the Spokane River. It will fill up on summer weekend but it’s much quieter during the week. At Nine Mile Recreation Area, there’s a boat launch that’s pretty busy in the mornings and late afternoon. We were able to catch Rainbow Trout from a float tube just off the shore of the park.
The wife and I love going for a walk here
Available trail maps hard to follow, mostly flat hiking, 1 good vantage point on trail 25. Best photo light in mid to late afternoon.
Absolutely beautiful got a little lost but there were people on the trails that were extremely helpful and kind to help us on our way
Love it. Had a few scheduling problems with surgery and the amount of time I had to stay. They helped me out every way they could. The camp ground hostess was the best I have every had. Nice peaceful park with Lee bank wayer.
One of the most beautiful parks and places to hike and do all kinds of Adventures for all ages
Loved it! Beautiful trails and a great race location for the Wild Moose Chase!
Beautiful scenery. Nice hiking destination!
Great place to take the family to hike or camp.
This is a beautiful drive along the river! Tons of places to pull off an go explore, fishing spots, hiking. A cool suspension bridge..that slightly swings! All very easy hikes. A discovery pass is required for $10 a day or $30 for the year! Great for biking, stroller friendly and running! Even calm areas to dip your toes in. You might even see some eagles!
Great park nice people and clean.
Wonderful state park lots of things to do
So beautiful here! Amazing to think this is just a few minutes from downtown Spokane!
Beautiful place. Camping, rv spots. Bathroom and shower facilities.
Will miss 24h round & round mtb bike race. A great last year for the event.
I have been going riding and hiking in this park since I was little and greatly appreciate that I see where the money for Discovery Passes go. There are new features, trails, and the upkeep/cleanup is spectacular for what it is. This is one of my favorite places to go when I need a few quiet moments to myself.
My favorite local spot.
We have been to this park/trail twice. Both times we only walked down to the bridge, where you can go to the beach and water. Each time there were few people we encountered. The path is well paved from the parking lot down to the bridge. The path is steep where we started. Steep enough a person with bad knees might not do well.
Bowl and Pitcher area if possible, lake nice at nine mile.
Pretty awesome place.
Amazing for outdoor people me and my hound love the place.
I love this park and all of the events that they put on here! The " Hoot Show" was fun! ❤
All the parks here in Spokane WA are above average. :D This park is no different.. What a view of Spokane's River.. Would suggest anyone to come experience it's wonderful sights ect ect . See you there :D } }}
This park is great for the outdoor adventurer. Hiking, biking, rafting, barbecues, picnics etc.
It's the most beautiful serine outdoor area. Great for bike rides. Kayaking and more
A busy weekend full of summer users. RV parking on lower level is extremely tight. Turn on gravel road is easy to miss. Internet is confusing for Riverside Nine Mile Park as there are several Riverside Park systems. Nice to park within 100 yards of the lake.
This is a wonderful area along the Spokane river. Lot's of trails amongst the woods to explore with many places that provide access to the river.
Nine Mile Unit: Great place to walk, easy, flat trails along the Spokane river.
Not far enough from the city to get a deep and changing experience from nature, however the river all by itself empowers me with calmness. Always love to visit and soak in the sound and smell of nature.
Breath taking veiws awesome rocks to climb a real mans dream to explore.
It is the best the sound is wonderful I recommend it to there best place ever
Can't ask for a better place to relax and meditate
Excellent hiking time, close to downtown
Was enjoying it un tell the parks wanna be cops started following us and mad us feel like we were doing something wrong.. Mother nature was beautiful. But being followed around and watched was unconfrateble...and we regularly attend at the parks
Great place to take the Family to explore. Good times.
We live in a great area. It is fun to float. But wear your life vest!
Beautiful park and trails. Very lovely walk with the family and pets.
Great for close to city mountain bike trips and hiking.
Great place to take the family for a hike. Or for a picnic
A beautiful trail and well crowded.
Out standing beauty of nature. Calm and beautiful.
One of our favorite places to go hiking. There is very level ground for all fitness levels. You will also run into an occasional horseback rider and there are off trails for off-road vehicles. All in all a really wonderful place to spend the day.
There are a lot of different trails for all hikers. And you can beat the views for being so close to the city.
Nice and clean. Love this hike
Beautiful park, good trails, amazing scenery.
It was nice other than the fish smell.
See the "Bowl & Picther". And yes, the suspension bridge.
It was very peaceful and. Beautiful.
10/10 would recommend for everyone. Absolutely beautiful, the scenery is amazing. The trails are for every skill level. Everything was clean. Absolutely no problems. A definite destination spot everyone visiting or living in Spokane needs to visit.
So much space to roam! Miles of paved bike paths and nature trails. Benches along the way, some restrooms at the main trailheads. Beautiful views
Near nature, near perfect.
Pretty place. Good to be close to nature.
Enjoyed the park, very clean, loads of wildlife trails are well groomed.
Great place to walk the dogs
Fun place to hike. It is a Discovery Pass place or pay a fee for the day. There is a camp area and picnic area, bathrooms and water faucets.
Nice trails for horsenack ridig. Clean camping area...very nice host
Beautiful scenery, nice trails, only downfall is you have to have a discover pass to park anywhere.
Nature, quiet, and just minutes from town.
Beautiful! So many different trails to take and sights to see. You can spend hours here in the natural beauty.
Amazing area. Beautiful geology.
Right in my back yard! Love Spokane!
Beautiful hike with the dog, trail and bathroom were very clean
Beautiful place to take a walk
We had a great visit to this park and will return in the future.
I was very excited to have gotten off work early today; I wanted to invite some friends along to explore the beautiful hiking trails for a few hours this afternoon. The driving directions weren't quite exact to the day use parking location, but the campground which was thankfully very close by. We had a blast with the swinging bridge, the small flowers beginning to bud, and the (mostly) flat trails we took. I am so enriched with nature's orchestra of life renewing this time of year--not really rainy today, either, and of course wonderfully kept paths make a HUGE difference for the journey. If you'd like to come check out Bowl and Pitcher area, tomorrow and Monday are free days (no Discover Pass required!) What an awesome beginning to Passover/Resurrection weekend!
Beautiful scenery, great place to hide for a bit. Escape to the river for peace and quiet.
Unsung jewel. The Bowl and Pitcher in spring is unbelievable. Great view from the suspension bridge.
Love hiking here on the 5 mile end with my family!
Well maintained, but the tent area is very small and ringed by the main road so has lots of traffic.
Beautiful scenery and filled with what seems to be countless hiking trails. I'm always asking myself why I don't got there more often.
A wonderful place for walk or bike ride
Did Pine Bluff Deep Creek loop for a run and was beautiful and challenging. Awesome place to do a hike or run.
This is a gorgeous outdoor experience. There are many trails that are great for taking hikes or riding your bike. Not only that but there is a picnic area across the bridge and camping options too.
Gorgeous level trails with more difficult side trails and climbs. Need WA Discovery Pass or pay daily fee.
Beautiful quite forest right in the middle of the city! Couldn't ask for something better
Riverside State Park has lots of picnic tables for family outings, but the best part is the huge suspension bridge hanging over the rapids on the Spokane River, and the Bowl & Pitcher basalt formations just beyond. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, floating/kayaking/rafting and more! A great spot to get into the great outdoors without leaving town. Tons of trails. Beautiful sights and of course the Spokane river and the swinging bridge.
wish parking was a bit closer, but it was a nice walk. from the parking area, it's about 35 min walk down to the river. signage showing the path to the river would be great, but it was pretty
My first stop on our vacation. A wolf ran in the road when we arrived in the park. We hiked and enjoyed the day. I was very hot and thirsty and did not have a driver k. Go prepared. It was very dry.it was beautiful with a long wooden bridge and a bird watching site . We saw an osprey carrying a snake to it's nest. It was very fun overall.
Don't come here. Way too awesome of a place to be telling everyone about it. Really, a crumby park without anything beautiful. Not close to the river at all. Better to stay away, maybe go to the mall instead.
Cool place to camp
Nice family camping spot
Plain and simple it is beautiful
Great park with nice boat launch and camping but watch out for sandbar.
Trails are well maintained, the suspension bridge is really quite fun. There are lots of trail options, some places to get your feet wet a but off the trail. Of note, 1) you need a Discovery Pass to stay in there park, yes there is a kiosk to buy day passes, 2) there is a camp ground and it looks really nice, 3) there are lots of trail options and we saw families, trail runners, hikers, dogs in leashes, and bikers on the trail, 4) there is no water to drink along the way. Get water filled up at the trail head by the parking lot. There is also a couple of picnic areas. There is some shade along the trails but it can get hot. We only saw one bench to rest at, otherwise it's rocks in the shade. Once you are above the stairs, the trail is smooth and wide enough for a stroller with big tires, like a jogging stroller.
We walked the trails in the area over the summer and enjoyed it very much. Camping is nearby, you can trailer your horses nearby as well. It's dog friendly, and when we were there everybody was respectful, picked up after their dogs, and most were on leashes. If you have a discovery pass entry is free. Lots of trails, and is nice for someone who is a novice hiker or not in great shape.
I love the park! What i am against is the fact that the parks where set aside for all to enjoy and now only people with money that can afford a discovery pass can go? Thats not what they where set aside for... They where for every income bracket to enjoy its nature!!! Now thats injustice
Camp hosts John and Nancy are Awesome, best hosts since I started camping with the horses at equestrian Park
Great place to ride, or walk. Especially new riders
This is a great place to visit. Very peaceful.
Nice place with lots of trails and ways to get away from the crowd. It does have leash laws in place for your fur friends. That is why I didn’t give it 5 stars. Yes I know, the leash laws are for everyone’s safety. It’s close to town, and if one part of the park is crowded, you go down the road a few miles and the crowds disappear.
Really cool place to go riding, trails everywhere, impossible to explore them all. Any thing from super easy flat paved to steep and techy really fun.
Great place to hike, bike or just hang out, but does cost if not on free day otherwise $10 for a day pass or $30 for a yearly pass.
It's so beautiful out here. What a gorgeous, peaceful place to be. Highly recommend visiting
Riverside State Park has TWO campgrounds. Bowl & Pitcher and Nine Mile Falls. We've been to both and 9 Mile Falls is our favorite. Easy access to the water for swimming OR boating. The only dump station is at B&P. All 9 Mile Falls RV sites have electric & water - NO sewer. Only a FEW sites at B&P have water & electric. I don't know about their sewer hookups. B&P is in the forest with the river running through it. Fast moving river. Not good for swimming. 9 Mile Falls is grassy w/a few trees & the river is so calm it feels like a lake. There is a boat ramp and a corralled swimming area. VERY nice camping. Spacious public bathrooms & showers. 3 min shower per token, 2 tokens for $1.
Easy access and great location being along the Spokane river. Awesome for a quick hike or mountain biking session.
Good place to go hangout with family
Great place for the kids to get out and play, burn off steam, enjoy hiking for miles . You should go!
This was so lovely! I had a 10/10 experience. And even saw a rattle snake!
Cool water and fantastic kayak adventure await you.
if it wasnt for all the goose poop it would be a 5 star
The park has a great trail system and is pretty accessable. It's someplace I'll take out of town visitors. You will need a discover pass for parking. They have machines for daily parking or the option to buy an annual pass.
Excellent Off Road Park for all kinds of vehicles with plenty of trials for the whole family to enjoy. Rockcrawlers welcomed
I love the walking trail there. I always feel safe.
Love this place! Trail running, picnics, bike riding, great views!
A beautiful place close to town with a variety of activities available. Hiking, biking, camping, canoeing on the Spokane River. Something for everyone who enjoys the outdoors.
My dads a vegetable and he loves sin City
Great park very clean beautiful setting
I live in Walla Walla and this place is always worth the drive to Spokane. Hardly anyone there. You need a discover pass to park at the trail head campground but there's a turnout a half mile before where the view is gorgeous and it connects to the main trail so I never pay. Also worth noting. Don't get confused by the fact that there are two parks, one on each side. I always put in the one that has the suspension bridge and do my exploring on that side. The other side of the river I believe there's a park of some sort bit these are all from the campground side. There's lots of trails if you cross the bridge and explore and the trail on the same side of the campground goes downriver and is really pretty
Always a big fan of parks! This place has too many homeless or questionable people around. Lots of trash in the water and in the park. Sad
A beautiful natural place to visit without leaving the city.
Amazing and close to home clean to. At the end of the centennial trail...
Great area to get out and explore
Beautiful trails and scenery all around. I only took away a star because of the discover pass requirement everywhere. Used to be able to enjoy state land without spending a bunch of money.
Not a good place for fishing swimming or camping the charge us day pass and a over night the discover pass should cover all
Riverside is one of THE most unique and coolest places within Spokane proper. There are some amazing scenic views and the trails are kept top notch. Find someone who knows the area or just go explore on your own. Guaranteed you won't be disappointed.
My friend and I went kayaking here. Good location to put our kayaks in. The water was glassy, no other kayakers around. What an outing!
Hidden gem. Trails and the river make this place a delight. Camping to boot with new cabins added recently.
It's our backyard.
Beautiful peaceful place
It's a good place to enjoy nature.
Good walking trails with beautiful views.
A little crowded for me but the Ranger is awesome and the whole staff does a great job.
Great options for outdoor fun for the family...from hiking, bike riding, water fun, camping and even an ORV park you can pretty much find something fun for anyone.
We always enjoy our camping experiences here in our "Blue Loft On Wheels" so many attractions near by and only a short drive to store for anything you need. Dish Tailgater is able to pull in satellite from most sites.
Riverside Park outside Spokane, WA is amazing! It runs for miles along the Spokane River and has an abundance of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether hiking, biking, ORVing, horseback riding, enjoying a picnic or a book book, there are vast areas to explore. Be sure to pickup a Discover Pass and let the fun begin! We biked the Centennial trail from 7 mile and made this our destination. Trails are well maintained and it's a great place to sit back, rest, and take a break for as long as you want.
Love hiking up and down the water fishing is very recommended
This place is beautiful. There is a nice campground. Some sites are next to the water, but if you want one by the water make your reservations early. Lots of hiking. This is one of our favorite places
Great fishing and a very nice boat launch.
This was our second camping trip to Riverside State Park. Great place. Staff is really nice and accommodating. Everything was clean and well taken care of. We'll go back again. The only thing we didn't appreciate we're the day use people who didn't respect people's camp sites.
Pretty cool place to hike, bike, run, bring your dog or do equestrian activities.
Great place close to town for easy Adventures
Great hiking trails.
Absolutely breath taking beautiful place to visit
Absolutely beautiful. Watch out for rocks though, broke my big toe hiking the trails. Make sure you have a pass. Camp monitor is real quick to give tickets.
Great park with many trails. Gem around here in my opinion. Shame on the idiot dog owners that don't pick up their dogs feces though. They should be made to eat it for such disrespect.
Wildlife good people and great weather
So many trails to go on!!! It's a fun place to spend with friends
Love the cross by the river. My husband proposed to me here, we also had wedding photos here.
Love this place
