Great place to camp. In the city but feels like in the woods. Very quiet.
Fantastic bwalking trails. Scenery was beautiful
Love this place it's great escape from the city in Spokanes back yard. There's hicking lil spot to get your feet wet and swim if you dare challenge the river current. Make sure like have your discovery pass as with all state parks in Washington state
Cool hiking area. Lots of parking and has a cool bridge to cross. The only thing is it gets old after few time of visiting. Definitely worth checking out though!
Nice beautiful River trees Hillside not too crowded at any certain time that I've gone
Riverside State Park: Bowl & Pitcher, I've enjoyed camping here over the last few month's.
A great State Park easily within reach of north Spokane. It has hiking, bicycling and Equestrian trails all of which are well maintained.
Absolutely beautiful!! We climbed to the overlook- first time we've ever been up to it. Fantastic views!!
We really enjoyed staying here and we'll be back.
We brought the pups out for a bit of walking and sight seeing. We live twenty minutes from here but have never been here and we're trying to get good use out of our discovery pass, so we went exploring.
Spectacular views of the river and surrounding mountains, must have a pass to enter. Lots of parking and camping sites. Park is well maintained although some of the paths further in are pretty rocky
I will be back... Facilities, employees, grounds, showrooms excellent
Did not camp- just hiked the trails. Beautiful well kept park, lots of cool trails and paths to take. If you like adrenaline, there are many large rock formations to free climb or "Boulder", going far into the park brings you into deep forest, but trails are easy to indentify and have periodic trail markers.
No excuse not to get out and enjoy the beauty when it's this close to home, friends, fun, community.
Super cool. Very spacious and clean
Awesome park cost $30 for 1 year pass I feel it was well worth it I have already gone to hike here 3 times and I am still finding new things to enjoy
10 thousand acres many great hiking trails beautiful scenery
Small but fun. Take a day and unwind! The swinging bridge takes you across this run off engorged river. The rock formations will keep you looking around the corner for the next impressive sight. Very child friendly. Most trails are well kept and safe for everyone. This is a must see if you are in the area!
It’s cool bruh
Nice and beautiful campground.
Campsites were tidy, good size. Water pressure was good. Great views of the river and very quiet. Little to no cell service. In public bathroom, drain in shower was clogged and hot water was intermittent at best. Camp hosts displayed passive aggressive behaviour. Would stay again.
I'll start by saying we have not camped here, we go here frequently for hiking. Beautiful area, very close by and easy to get to for your treks in the wilderness. Paths are easy, well traveled and cared for.
I went on smoky day this summer, so didn’t able to travel much in this park area. Personally I didn’t find this park amazing or attractive place to go for visit especially after paying $10 parking fee. Spokane has other good parks and places to visit. This place wasn’t even having greenery, I found this place very quite, boring and lonely.
Well maintained, tons of volunteer staff, very clean bathrooms. The sites down my the river are very nice, the upper sites are ok without much grass. Full hookups available, quiet at night.
It's Beautiful there lots to do hiking, fishing, camping, water drifting, rafting, swimming, etc. I give it two (2) thumbs up
One of my favorite places to go on a walk in Spokane, you can find a new trial every time you go!
Beautiful place my first time coming and its magnificent!
It's really beautiful their. Theirs a swinging bridge. Their is camping also. Lots of hiking trails. Covered area for picnics or gathering To get out of the rain.
This place is amazing! I feel like every time that we go we end up finding another beautiful trail!
Amazing place to camp! Book ahead to get a river spot, they can fill up overnight! Amazing swinging bridge, awesome trails after that! Clean bathrooms.
Beautiful place to take a little hike.
Heated and air conditioned restrooms with showers. Beautiful views and wooden bridge that crosses the river. Amazing
Beautiful place to visit
Great trails, views, bathrooms. Definitely planning return trip, great mountain biking!
Beautiful! Very well patrolled and the park rangers were very helpful and approachable. Clean with good amenities. Great place overall..
Always loved Bowl & Pitcher. It's very clean and I always buy the year pass, $30 for a year is beyond cheap! Great place to hike, picnic, and relax! Senior photos and general photography always come out amazing during golden hour here. Must see
Beautiful spot! Camp sites looked good, we just went for a day hike. Need a discovery pass or have to pay $10 for the day. The views are amazing!
Super good hiking for all ages the parks really nice and camp sites are on point not a fan of coin operating showers but oh well.
A must see if you’re visiting Spokane! Breathtaking view of the river and huge rocks, hanging bridge and beautiful trails and woods. Also a perfect location for photos!
I love going here! Its so beautiful and peaceful! Great place for a hike, to camp and to just hang out and relax!
Absolutely WONDERFUL.. ☆☆ ☆☆☆ BEAUTY, CONVIENANCE, Bathrooms, Showers, Hot water.. Roomy..Wild life.. :D Electricity ..:D <3
Home of the Bowl and Pitcher rock formation. Great place to explore hiking trails and feel as if you aren't only a few miles from Spokane, WA.
I love this place. Gorgeous raging river, good for long walks, lots to discover.
Love the horse trails! Rides on Airbnb
This park is fantastic. Park managers should put some effort into online info so that specific destinations are accurate with directions. Ie there are 4 campgrounds but no specific directions to 3 of them.
This was an amazing experience the view and the place is awesome highly recommend for families and friends
Great location for fishing hiking..it’s nice place if you would like to be closer to the water
Awesome ! And I haven't explored whole park yet.
Amazing park to walk, run, bike and bring kids. Dog friendly. Lots of birds and amazing waterfalls.
Great outdoor water carved canyon by the Spokane River. Unique formations and hiking trails for miles among the Pines and fir trees. Magnificent cabled engineered bridge and romantic hideaways along the rivers trails. Enjoy & Merry Christmas, Happy New Year.
Great place close to the city to stretch your legs and breathe deep. Just awesome.
Beautiful place to go for a stroll and check out the river as well as camping, hiking and biking.
One of the best Spokane bike locations! Paved or trail options. Technical to easy you pick. Stay close to the river for a cool shady ride. Beautiful area, plenty of areas to cool off in the river.
It's a beautiful nature park with many trails. Stairs after the bridge make it almost impossible to bring a stroller though.
Beautiful area. Must cross the suspended foot bridge
Picturesque, serene setting...Ponderosa pines, basalt outcroppings, and the swift-flowing Spokane River are enchanting.
Overcrowded with glampers and yuppies who make noise and leave messes. This is hardly camping.
Such a beautiful area if you can catch it on a nice day. Lots of picnic tables, good hiking that will take you all over the state park. It's a great place for trail running too!
Fantastic adventure awaits whether you have a family of toddlers or a lone adventurer! Hiking biking swimming floating . Its all here. This place has become a new family favorite and its only minutes away.
Most incredible campground! It's the feeling of everything surrounding you being alive and speaking to you. The trees, river, and rocks are gorgeous!!
Wonderful getaway minutes from the city! There are grills and fire pits in the dayuse area for all kinds of family fun. There are great trails and beautiful views! The campground is usually full, so reserve far in advance if you want to camp. Great state park, and I highly recommend!
Great hike along the river!
Gotta be careful picking 'trails', lol. Good rule, if animals don't go up it, don't go up it... XD
This is a delightful place for the whole family. The Spokane River cuts through this Park to give breathtaking views and nourishment to our local wildlife. From walkers to strollers, wheelchairs, horses, and bikes. However you can get around is ok. Most of the trails here are friendly for beginners and those not wanting steep, strenuous hiking. Easy, level paths that are mostly shaded by gorgeous trees. Perfect for a walk on a sunny warm day. An ideal place to get to know Spokane and her nature.
Nice and Clean. Nice trails to explore.
Beautiful Great Scenery
Well kept
The campgrounds are adequate. They seem to be making the sites smaller to accommodate the increasing hordes of visitors. 10 years ago they were great. But the trails along the river make up for everything, so lovely and wonderful
Beautiful area. Reasonably priced. Only bad thing, it rained hard on my tent for 18 hours. Still enjoyed the outing.
Great small quiet campground in bowl and pitcher most suitable for rvs - our 32 footer fits great in most spots. Water and electricity, good shade. Watch bald eagles and osprey fish as you sip your morning coffee. Short walk to famed suspension bridge and great hiking on the other side. Horse trails and mtn bike trails. Short walk to centennial trail. Group camps also look nice and only green grass in early fall. Dump station easy in and out at exit and complimentary to campers. A real gem close to town.
This is a gem of natural beauty within Spokane's city limits. Trail 25 showcases a large variety of vegetation, challenging enough at points for skilled hikers, but calm enough for a novice and/or children. I recommend this portion of Riverside State Park to everyone who enjoys the outdoors visiting our region. There is a campground and discovery passes can be purchased on location.
Great place to get out of the city. Nice trails and camping.
Beautiful campground! We stayed in group camp 1, it has the most luscious grass I've ever seen in a campground! Rangers came thru on a regular basis and were super friendly!
Awesome park, you feel like you are way out in the woods right there by spokane
Great place to clear your thoughts, LOVE the swinging bridge!
Awesome place to jog, walk or hike.
Love the river and love take my girls there
So close to town yet you would never know. Its a beautiful place to camp or just go for a hike. Its a freat option to have a quick get away
Short campsites (limited to 30'), limited facilities and better suited to day use. But the scenery along the very picturesque Bowl and Pitcher rapids pays for it all, especially in spring.
Very great place and absolutely gorgeous
Such a beautiful area
I am disabled and if I can make it to the bridge and back most anyone can!!! Beautiful area!!
Beautiful walking trails. The trails are maintained well so anyone can access the scenery with ease.
Wonderful for light hikes with the family.
beautiful area close to the city.
We love the Riverside State Park. Such a cool tourist attraction with the swinging bridge and the unique rock formations. Also, if you're into forging there is elderberries and Boison Berries. All kinds of wild life, deer, cougar, coyote, turkey and our common friend the Great Horned Owl.
It's really fun and beautiful ❤️ I really recommend it
Beautiful area with fascinating basalt rock formations (far more than just the famous bowl & pitcher). Lots of well-marked trails so you can go for a short relatively flat/smooth hike or easily create a 5+ mile loop with lots of ups & downs, plus you can freely climb on the rocks or walk along the river shore almost anywhere. Very dog-friendly. Lots of people right around the main parking area but gets quiet if you walk a little away on a trail, saw tons of birds, deer, and some unidentified possum-like mammal on our 3 mile loop hike.
Amazing trails and views with river access a few miles down the Riverside Bowl trail. Discovery Pass needed to park and machine was broken when we visited. There are some great climbing areas and rustic trails off of the main trails.
Great place for family hikes. We love coming here with out kids we always end up on new trails and paths. Getting to see lots of wild life and amazing scenary.
Easy parking and then getting to the hiking trails. Trails interesting and well maintained. Very pretty, shows off our part of the USA to a great degree. Bathrooms at base were cleaner than expected.
The place was wonderful. The public areas were clean and the people were all friendly and outgoing. Would definitely stay there for a few days.
Amazing. A MUST do if you haven't. I will be going back.
Love this place to camp
Quiet time runs a little late in the morning, loud party people late at night and you have to pay for showers even if you rent a spot. Worst experience I have had and we travel a lot
The Equestrian camping is awesome, hosts the best ever
Beautiful in the spring, the walking bridge amazing
Favorite local place for picnic and hiking
Great place.
Great place to hike and picnic but you have to have a discovery pass which cost $30 a year or a $10 a day pass though they have a few days that are free.
Nice. Friendly Ranger. Didn't get her name. Beautiful area.
Great place to hike, bike, or walk the dog. Trails have many beautiful vantage points overlooking the Spokane river
Our little slice of wilderness in the middle of the city! What's not to love? Lots of opportunities to hike and explore.
It was absolutely amazing ! Great atmosphere,,caught about 10 fish between the wifey and I..
Loved the place had a great time with my family there. The host of the camp ground we're great friendly people. The rangers however we're hounding everyone over petty stuff the first day we were there.
In Spokane for a visit? Top three must sees.
Beautiful place to walk, picnic, camp.
So many great trails to check out.
Decent camping accommodations, hookups for RV' s and fully plumbed bathrooms with shower stall. Not a lot of camping spaces available & too much open space in the camping area due to the lack trees.
Awesome trails!
Looks soooooo good. 50 years ago, not so good. Compliments to the staff, even without much $, you did great
Nice place to visit. Close to Spokane City for family camping. Has clean restrooms, and showers available. Easy accessibility for the disabled. It's better and cheaper to purchase a discovery pass if your going to frequent. Discovery pass gets you free parking in all Washington State parks. Great place to take the kids
Riverside offers stunning views accessible by a short, easy hike. Being located just outside of Spokane, it's a quick trip from downtown. Perfect for a short afternoon out in nature.
I love this place. It's not far from town. It's perfect for a not so " real " camping trip. Wouldn't stay for more than a night or two. Perfect if thays something you're looking for. The park is beautiful.
Beautiful. Great hiking
Good walk/hike
This campground has well appointed sites that you can fit a small trailer into. Most of the camping is tent camping. The campground opens up to the state park trail system, which is fantastic. If you are looking for easy hiking and biking over a very long trail system, this is the spot for you.
Lol good views that was about it and the laws on that river have made it a cess pool of red-band rainbows that have now made a decent comeback the laws need to be changed .
Clean. Well maintained. Showers are pay showers. Finding staff to help can be difficult. We were in site #11 which is recommended.
Relaxing, peaceful, nice camp ground
Off season, rangers seem idk...not friendly- park is small, sites crowded close together.... day use is best here!!!!
It's a good place to go when it's not crowded
Its a great spit to explore and see the river, just dont do what I did and kick your keys into it
This was a nice park and I wish I had more time to enjoy it. Apparently it is usually booked solid but we lucked out and there was a space available.
The park has nice trails and beautiful views. It's not that expensive at $10 for as long as you want or until dusk. It is however a little easy to get lost, and there are lots of bugs in spring and summer time.
Oh my stars the places is awesome. So Peaceful and relaxing. The only reason I gave it a 3 stars is because you can't check in till 2 PM and have to out at 10 am. Don't 7nderstand why big open gab. No cleaning needed 8f so very little.
Just gorgeous! A great way to spend a summer day.
Absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained facilities.
This place is amazing. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to hike! The views are amazing!
We love it. At least monthly hike.
A unique geologic formati I ns of volcanic erosional remnants forming towering monoliths some over 200 feet in height with crystal clear waters forming Rapids for river kayakers.
I have not stayed at the campground, just use the sanidump facilities. Always very clean and maintained. For $5.00 and usually no lines, great spot for people on the Northside of Spokane.
Beautiful area fun hiking, canoeing, kayaking, or even camping there, there is a neat campground by the bridge
The Bowl and Pitcher is a great place to go to when you're goto take a hike a picnic. Go camping or just take in the sights. The admission I think is $10 or $30 for a yearly pass it makes more sense to get the yearly pass because it can you can use it at any State Park
Always enjoy hiking out here. Easy enough trails I can take the kids and dog. And more difficult trails for when the kids aren't going. Great nature experience!
Really a great place for a quick getaway all while being close! Beautiful
Great campground, the host do a fine job at keeping the sites clean and raked. We had no issues navigating our 42 ft fifth wheel. All sites have water and electric. There are great hiking trails and a neat suspension bridge. We enjoyed our stay.
Stunning views of the river and valley!
Yesterday we were given notice that a storm may be coming in and we may want to prepare campsite for heavy winds / rain. Thanks Bobbi
Very clean and well patrolled Campgrounds. Easy big rig friendly
The staff is fabulous and the surroundings are beautiful, but the roads are in dire need of repair and the sites in need of upgrading. Bigger RVs will find it difficult to navigate the narrow roads and park in the short, tight sites, and the rough, pot-holed roads will beat your rig to death. Unfortunately, like most Eastern Washington State parks, any improvements will come second to all the Western Washington parks.
This place was gorgeous and a super fun hike, plus it was perfect for the look of the photoshoot I went there for in the first place. I would highly recommend that people stop by here if they have few extra hours and are in the area.
Loved this walk so much. Trees, flowers, the river, deer, it has it all. The paths are well maintained and the views are ridiculous. Seriously have to visit Spokane more often and become a regular at this park.
Loved it... Beautiful elevated views of the Spokane River. We're in town from the Olympic Peninsula and are friends brought us here to do some sightseeing. Would love to camp here. We didn't walk down to The River Bridge but there is River access.... Thanx Again......... Brandon
This is a great park. There are some really nice hikes. If you are fortunate to get a campsite by the water you can listen to the river all night long. They have electricity and water only in the sites by the river. The rest of the campground has no hookups. If you want by the water make your reservations early
Great place to ride your bike
Beautiful! Saw some rafters on the river....
We love to hike and mtb ride in the park. Love it so much our son had his senior pics in the park.
Within a few minutes of downtown Spokane you'll find this wonderful area. I generally go down there for a quick hike and to enjoy the sound of the river rushing below the cliffs. For a quick getaway from the city, you really can't beat a wander through the area. It's easy to get to with plenty of parking for a quick sit down or to take off on a fairly easy hike. I love going here.
We came for an afternoon picnic, the picnic area is well maintained and has some nice views of the river. The suspension bridge is also worth visiting.
Excellent hike and views
Wonderful spot! Spaces are large and you don't feel stacked on top of each other. Very clean.
Riverside State park is amazing. I love camping there. Its 15 minutes from my house. People are quiet at night, friendly and very respectful. Camp sites on the upper part are a bit close together but the lower section is nicer and right at rivers edge,. Bathrooms are clean and have showers.
Went hiking in this park and was throughly surprised what a great area this is and it's so close to Spokane. I came to Spokane Washington to work and enjoyed all the parks, trails, rivers, lakes and mountains nearby. I came here 4 times in the 6 weeks I was here. Hiked all I could. The bought the yearly Pass so I could go to all the parks around the area. Well maintained, easy access in and out, handicapped access is good, felt safe even late evening.
I'm from Texas that moved here. I enjoyed coming here with my girl and the kids. Enjoy the water and view.
A beautiful campground, so scenic . Campground host Bob was the best. 911 response is amazing if you have an emergency. Hot showers. Deer and geese prevail.
One of the most beautiful places in all of the Spokane area. Big trees, big water and big rocks. I've been here a number of times and it always awes my spirit
Well kept and awesome! Trails everywhere. It is nicer when less people are there of course
