Beautiful state park. Super busy on the summer, but great to visit in the off season. Closed in winter.
Large lake, HUGE day picnic site, lush grass, multiple picnic tables. Campsites barren, right next to one another. Not my cup of tea.
Great place for a lazy afternoon. Or, camping in either a tent or a camper.
Just returned home after 2 nights camping in the West park. Possibly the most beautiful place in WA I've seen so far.
Beautiful lake and lovely hiking. I camp here very year. Water was unusually warm this year
Fun place if you are into lots of people with their water toys. West campground sites are very tight and uneven. East campground is much more spacious and park-like. Sites there are very uneven also. BTW, we're in a 35 ft motorhome and could not level well in either campground. Best for smaller RV's and tent camping.
I have been to this park twice, The first time the camp host was very nice and showed a willingness to make sure you had a great stay. The second visit, the camp host was so horrible it resulted in constant arguments and us being asked to leave because one of the kids who was about 9 years old walked past their RV to get to the cabin right next to it. This resulted in the group of us no longer renting out the 3 cabins and 3 campsites that we normally took up for a week every summer.
I camped one night here on 7/4/17. There was a lack of respect for the grounds, cars parked on the grass, digs without leashes and the bathrooms, I'm not going there. Park staff were very busy moving sprinklers the entire time. The campground host was off duty. The water was warm and good for swimming. I give this 3 stars only because of the lack of "supervision" which caused the above problems.
Wonderful park and lake for the kids and entire family. Lake is shallow enough to stay somewhat warm. The swimming area for the kids is in excellent shape with new ropes, buoys, sand to play in, plenty of picnic benches and large trees for shade. They keep the bathrooms clean and the showers are 50 cents for 3 minutes. The garbage and recycling bins are kept on great shape as well. Wish there was combined recycling though! Plenty of sites have lake access and the other sites are close to large grass fields. We love this park. Cheers!
Nice big lake and pretty warm too, a bit murky though
It is an amazing lake unless u don't take a shower right afterwards because u will get swimmers itch I got it today(06/11/19)
Great campsite with great lots. Lots of room. Common areas. Easy lake access. Boat launch. Sandy Beach area. Green grass. No weedy swimming areas, all clean. Had an RV site and a cabin. Cabins were clean and nice. Bring mosquito repellent if you plan to hang out outside at dusk.
Fishing was great. Caught limit in 1 he.
It is beautiful and quiet off season. Marmots everywhere in the warmer months. Great lake, sites and clean bathrooms and showers. There are lots of trails for hiking and biking.
Sailboat ⛵️
The lake was really fun. Easy to drop your boat in the water, great trailer parking and decent facilities. Will definitely be back next summer!
Pretty mellow place, the town is great. 3 finger Jack's and old school house brewery are a must.
We did not camp here, but were in Winthrop so we drove through to look at it. The east camp section seemed nicer though it was larger.
Great fishing. Good swimming but a little chilly since it's a mountain lake. A lot of nice RV campsites. Beautiful hiking around the lake or up on the ridge. Drive to Pipestone canyon for a 6-mile hike if you have the opportunity. The only negative would be they tend to mow the lawn on the weekend and not before you get there
Lots of campsites with more on the way ... Often full. Good kayaking early morning.
Nice beach but too many jets
The water wasn't working at the camp site and there wasn't hot water in the showers. Some showers were out of order.
Amazing holiday
A very nice RV park clean quiet beautiful Lake
A great get away place
First rate park on the outskirts of town but close enough to enjoy. Nice campsites, friendly staff, great lake with running and hiking trails. Love this place and would return in a heartbeat.
Loved camping here. Beautiful
Love this park. Lots of space to park and put your rv up. The lake is awesome and the fishing is to. All the amenities are great. Can't wait to go back
We come here with our kiddos every year a couple of times. The scenery is gorgeous. The amenities at the campground are well maintained. We always have a relaxing and wonderful time.
Rangers and staff
Best Washington State Park. Beautiful!
Beautiful lake but a little busy out on the water. Made our paddleboarding challenging:)
The best family friendly place! We have been coming here for 17 years and absolutely love it.
Parking is challenged & phone signals are spotty at best, hard to find friends who texted you a map point when you have no signal
These campsites are huge.
One of the best campgrounds in the state. Wide open spaces, protected beach, two boat launches, trout in the lake, quiet while school still in session. Off the beaten path. Good place to kayak and paddle board.
Enjoy staying at a beautiful state park (east end of the lake), fishing from a nice wheelchair accessable dock, or in your boat on the lake. $7.00 fee to use launch. Catch your limit if nice size trout even from the dock at the right time if day using the proper bait. A beautiful place. Full hook-ups for trailers and motorhomes $30-$40 / night. Picnic day use area also. Discover pass required. Worth a visit.
Except for rude people cutting thru our camp pearrygin has been our favorite camp for over 30 years always clean well run and friendly rangers and staff
Great family fun. 2019 fish were smaller than normal but there were a lot of them.
Great place for kids, has sand beach and warm water
Nice new trail along west & south sides.
Beautiful little lake nestled in the hills with incredible mountain views...fun for all activities.
I always live going to Lake Pearrygin. HUGE RV sports, clean, level, nice little store. It's a nice get away for the summer. Oh yeah, my wife loves it too.
Wonderful state park with wonderful surroindings. It is great for family camping. Each campsite is spacious. Restrooms and showers are well maintained. Only a few minutes from Winthrop.
This park is close to Winthrop. There are two campgrounds we camped in the older west campground which was previously privately owned. Full service campsites were back to back and close together. We frequently had children walking through our site. No privacy. There was a camp host but rarely saw park staff. Nice trail from campground to adjoining public land with lots of birds to see. Some nice-looking grass land trails available. Grassy beach with a little bit of sand and several picnic tables. Lots of ducks. Small boat launch with life jackets available to borrow. Sites along lake had no services and limited space for RV’s/vehicles. Drove to Wintrop found RV parking and walked back to see historic district. Worth the walk even on a warm day.
My favorite place ever!
Awesome for families not too crowded campsites are beautiful and they have some shade
Good space really close to the lake. Clean restrooms which is great. I found a little be pricey the over night fee for extra vehicle even with the Discovery pass. But after a long drive you just learned the lesson and we will do our homework before get to the place.
This place was beautiful. We actually walked a trail just outside the entrance of the park on the opposite shore of the main park. It was very beautiful with a ton of wildlife. We saw 6 deer, a hawk, snakes, and many small rodents. Didn't know where the trail went because there is no sign, but ended up seeing some cool old buildings and an old duely work truck.
This was one of the most amazing nights of camping I have ever had with my Wife. We are from MN and we stayed here on our way back from Friday Harbor. What a great park and campsite. We let Apple maps guide us there and were pleased when it sent us up this tiny dirt road with an amazing overlook. We had to turn around but it was so worth it. We say groups of Mule Deer and amazing scenery. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Washington has some underrated terrain.
Well maintained facilities and gorgeous views
I've come here every year for the past few years on family vacation. It's always been a great time!
Loved this park, just wished there was a playground for childre.
Great place! Beautiful spacious sites!
If you want a shower you may want to look elsewhere. We paid $35/night for water and electric in late September. We really just wanted to power up and get clean. Lo and behold the showers are not free at that price! , (no one mentioned that when we stopped at the entrance). When we went back to the office for change they were closed, (before 5). After looking ridiculous and asking other campers for quarters, we found that there was only one shower! The time begging and waiting in line for showers made this place not worth the steep price for us. Maybe in summer when you could swim? We will stay somewhere else when in the area again.
Good size campsites literally 5 ft from the lake. Clean bathrooms
So peaceful and clean, very friendly staff.
Well Kept and clean park right on the lake. It was a great experience!
Excellent as always
Good for kids and adults. Has multiple showers and bathrooms. Has trails and is bike friendly. Pet friendly. Has very good staff to make sure rules and regulations are adhered to. Would give 5 stars if there had been a little more options for swimmers.
Clean and good camping spots. The lake is decently clean too. This park can get pretty smokey in the summer because it's a prime spot for forest fires.
Mountain biking for the first time!
Because of the lake. And. I have memories of shredding my mountaineering pants here while sledding.
So well taken care of , great fishing , brave ducks come to visit and actual sand
Great place to camp but at night it gets really cold in April but other than that my fiance and I had a wonderful time would recommend it to anyone who likes to camp and fish and hike.
We were on West end Lots of room between other RV S
This was about to close for the season.we went up to look at the fall foliage and took lunch purchased from a nearby deli. It was a perfect sunshine day, the colors of the trees were magnificent. A couple of resident chipmunks entertained us..I would put this on my list for a summer outting.lots of spacious grounds.the bathroom was immaculate. Very peaceful..probably a well used summer oark.i enjoyed the quiet tranquility of this beautiful scenery in the fall.
Visited for a couple of hours while in Winthrop. Seems a great place for camping and families.
Great little lake and location getaway for a mini vacation..
Very nice campground
Little slice of heaven. Our camping trip was amazing. Cant wait to go back!
We went kayaking around 8am on a Thursday so we had the glass-like conditions on the lake all to ourselves. Wonderful and peaceful. And then, everyone woke up and climbed on their jetskis. We still stayed...after all, the lake is for everyone. We pulled off to the shore and swam in the lake. Temperature was great with a sandy bottom. The whole experience was well worth it.
Nice state park with lake.
Nice and quiet.
Been camping here with our three children every July since 2009. Warm lake water, not bad fishing for the kids (under 16 in Washington state does not require a fishing license regardless of residency). Lots of other stuff to do in and around the area too, like float down the river in a tube which is quite a popular pastime with the locals as well.
Great "resort" type camping. Tons of activities: watersports, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and exploring the nearby town of Winthrop.
Great park, nice campsites, hiking trails near by.
Always top in my list when it comes to "camping" with family and kids. Bathrooms available on site, even you can take shower there just needs coins to pay for it. Power outlets for every camp site, perfect for R.V hookups.
Best place for trout
Nice place with two problems. Highly recommended for family fun. What are the problems. Most sites are too sloped or require maneuvers impossible for a 35 foot RV. Not a problem in a trailer. Not recommended for larger RVs. Second the boat traffic is dangerous for anything other than fast boats or jet skis. Seems like no rules. You don't want to take a kayak or other watercraft far from shore.
Beautiful lake!!
This is a very nice state park along Pearrygin Lake, a few miles outside of Winthrop. Stay in the East Loops, not the West Loops, those campsites have a lot less privacy. The best tent site is #72. There's a set of four, single-person bathrooms nearby. Two have showers. Plus another shower/bathroom closer to the water. Overall a great place to stay.
I LOVE PEARRYGIN LAKE!!! I have been coming here with my family since I was 2 weeks old. My husband and I have 2 kids, they to have been coming here since they were babies, and now there kids. We live it here!
A gem in state of Washington. Camp sites, both powered and non-powered on the shore of a tranquil lake. Good guest amenities. Hint: The higher priced camp sites are usually quieter. Enjoyed waking up to the sound good mooing cross the lake. Lots of other wildlife. A must stay experience.
Great place good swimming, clean and warm water.
Nice facilities; friendly rangers; good trails to mountain bike on, and a nice beach area.
Nice place for the family
Nice park.
