Fun place to swim! Lots of bugs and spiders but very clean park.

KN Yurk

beautiful area, not sure about the review stating poop and gross water. the swim area is very nice. overall a well maintained park with great views and very few people. big downside is no camping, but there are water access sites nearby that allow overnighting(no real campsites or utilities).

Joel Ross

Great memories of coming here with the old man back when I was a kid. Glad to see its still around.

Great place for a day trip to fish, bbq or swim. There's no over night camping and a discover pass is required for vehicle parking. There's a lot of duck droppings around the swimming areas. Swim at your own risk. Lyons Ferry marina is on the other side of bridge off you want to camp out or dock your boat over night.

Steve Pace

Not very well kept up

Gypsy Anna

This was a nice surprise we stumbled upon during our day trip to the palouse falls area of southeastern Washington. It is a very well maintained, large, and beautiful state park with a boat ramp, kids' play areas, swimming area, clean restroom, and lots of picnic tables and space for large family or group gatherings. I only wish we'd had more time to stay and play! But the sun was already beginning to set by the time we discovered it. Will definitely be returning next summer.

Saja Francesca

Beautiful view and quiet setting. Bit of a drive to get down to the park off the highway, but worth it

(Translated by Google) The park is good to rest and have a nice time. Although the water gets dirty very soon, but the green area is very good with trees that give good shade. (Original) Está bien el parque para descansar y pasarla un rato agradable. Aunque el agua se ensucia muy pronto, pero el área verde está muy bien con árboles que dan buena sombra.

Andrew Richardson

A great park near Palouse Falls State Park. We first visited Palouse Falls, then went to Lyons Ferry State Park for family time with friends. Pros: Great park right off the river with wonderful day use area. Large swim area. Boat launch. Green grass.Flush toilets in main restroom. Lewis and Clark Trail Interpretive Signs. It wasn't too busy when we went even on a Saturday on a Fee Free Day. Plenty of room to run and play. No heights, unlike at Palouse Falls State Park. Rail bridge on the other side of the road. Many picnic tables. Cons: There is some goose droppings on the beach. There were also some spiders, very large spiders, everywhere: on signs, picnic tables, and in the trees. They even fell out of the trees making webs (on the plus side, there were very few bugs).

M C

It is a beautiful place go spend time alone or company we had a great time swimming, walking and enjoying ourselves with wild black berries

Robert Alberg

One of our favorite swimming holes. Make sure you have a state park pass or otherwise you can pay day usage fee. Clean bathrooms and showers. Friendly staff.

Ronald Deraas

Nice place

Mark McQuaig

Great place to visit

Rick Cross

Nice little day use park, no camping, yet, boat launch, swimming beach, picnic. Camping is supposed to be open in 2015, don't have to worry about that. 5 stars when they open the camp ground. On the junction of the Poluse river and the Snake river, tour boats use the bay to to moor in, so the passenger's can be bussed to WA. State Waterfalls, Poluse falls.

kathy carrell

BEAUTIFUL!!

Ted Sherman

Nice and serene

Tom Rueb

Interesting lake. We went way west into the shallows using small rubber boat and looked at the wild life. Birds that build nests of mud on the side of cliffs, ducks, large raptors, and just the quiet.

cathy gerhard

Love it here. Need Discover pass

Lyle Key

Nice little spot to take a break from the road.

Robert Klein

A beautiful, quiet park steeped in Washington history. Take a pause or have a snack on the way back from Palouse Falls. Read the interpretive signs.

Laurie Billeck

We stayed at the cabins and went cat fishing it was a blast ...will be back for sure

usa madcow

Remindse of old western movie landscape

Mark Jacobson

Thanks for posting all the photos. I grew up about 16 miles from Lyons Ferry and spent countless hours fishing along the river before the dams went in. I remember seeing my first sturgeon when it jumped completely out of the river by the train bridge - scared the heck out of me because I hadn't seen one before. My brother Dan and I hiked to the falls from where the park is located now. I loved the pictures - thanks.

Jordan Ewing

Great park. Wish there was some camping though and not the $35/night tent camping at the KOA

Cliff Strong

Nice quiet place, good swimming place.

Ian Barnett

Beautiful place to have a family picnic!

Rhonda Rigsby

It is dirty and lots real poop on the shore, and in the water! It needs to be cleaned up! I paid for a day pass to swim in a toilet

Beyond Vision Foundation

Jason Keosian

Yeraldin Romero ,

Very lovely place! & the kids enjoy the water & scenery as well as the geese. Fishing is good too!!

Brenda Lawlor

Beautiful Park sadly it's only day use I don't know how long ago they quit keeping the camping site open it's too bad. It's a wonderful place to get out and walk or swim or bring your kayaks for fishing gear. I always stop here while traveling across the state to visit my parents.

Jonathan Fischer

Watch for snakes

Jerry Jones

Great park! Nice day use area, enjoyed not being overrun with people. Our dogs loved it as well. Not sure about the centrally located rest rooms but the one on the hill at the west end was cleaner than a lot of restaurants. We will be back and highly recommend. Check out these pix we got on the way out.

Bryan Hermans

The setting of this park is dramatic. The Snake River cuts a deep gorge. A giant railroad tressel spans the river. Too bad the park is not better maintained.

Connie Albano

Chris Parker

Bob Bonstead

A nice park that many people overlook. Boat ramp, swimming area, picnic tables in a beautiful scenic area. At the confluence of the Palouse and Snake rivers. Corp of Engineers owned and leased to the State. Historic ferry under renovation (no access). Area was Native American gathering site and village for thousands of years. Downstream from Palouse Falls and Little Goose Dam. KOA campground across the river. Town of Starbuck 5 or so miles away.
