A great park, it’s a bit hidden- but it has an easy family trail hike and next to the river for fishing.

Lowell Nee

Great little campground. Not as remote as some campgrounds. Most of the sites have trees all around so you still feel a little secluded. Good trout fishing on the river and plenty of places to play in the water. The pay shower had nice warm water. Each site also has a nice picnic table and the sites are all clean and we'll maintained. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and just want to stay for a night or two. I wouldn't recommend for longer stays as there isn't a lot to do once you've walked around and played on the river.

Really nice place probably the chillers camp ground I've stayed at. No loud music or rude people and the river was right in the park only down side was the highway was right next to it

Been going here for many years. As a young girl with my family and passing on a place close to my heart with friends.

Janna Shaw

Wonderful camp sites--right next to the Touchet River. Has some nice short hiking trails.

Sandy Harbison

July and it was closed.

Bring your own water. 1 shower in each rest room. Privacy and shade in most sites. Reservations required May - Sept.

This park has about 20 individual sites, a couple of group sites, and a 4 site primative area. A small, fishable stream is adjacent. Sites provide nice isolation, but have no hook ups. Public showers and toilets were nasty beyond belief -- bring your own.

Heidi Fullmer

Had a great time. Wish we could have caught some fish but we definitely had a great time. Bathrooms were clean & tidy. Our nieces loved that there was running water toilets & showers. Just don't forget to bring quaters for the shower.

No water, no electricity and it costs $30 a night! The camp spots are semi-privite, which is nice, but some of them are shabby. Choose your spot wisely. And a $5 dump fee.

Tina Tyler

Can't wait to camp here. The site's seem to be well spaced the river that runs through will be nice and cool. Lots of trees for shade.

George Baker

Great place to go for hiking.

Jennifer Comstock

Fantastic camping area and their staff is wonderfully considerate and supportive of LGBTQ folks. Great trails that lead off from the camping areas around the river and many trees and other plant life to enjoy. The group spots are also fabulous for larger groups to reserve, with a good price as well.

Sarah Smith

Small but pretty campground. Sites are nice

The campaign spots are a good size and private and the park have restrooms and the bad things is coin operated shower like a car carwash and the fire restrictions with firewood and charcoal at the time I was there. Overall is a good place to go spend a weekend.

nathan martnick

38 dollars for a one person tent site is outrageous. Too bad. I guess thats why over half of their sites were available

Tyrone Phillips

Solitude abounds nice hiking no power or hook up but a great tent site

Small but perfect size park for the littles. Paved campground loop meant easy biking. The river is just right for playing. Quiet, secluded sites. Only an hour from the Tri-cities.

Park in nice location but because of high traffic on the weekends it can be really busy. During the week you could have the whole place to your self!! Need santi cans throughout the park desperately!!! One bathroom not enough so people pollute the campsites. Stinks! Need more water faucets dotted throughout the camp. Have to walk to other side of camp. Rangers and camp hosts great people. Andy and Claire were wonderful! Very helpful with area information and making sure we were comfortable.

Small Camo sites, can here the road. No fires allowed. Creek is nice

Winter: The park closes Nov. 1, reopens March 29. Camping: Check-in time, 2:30 p.m. Check-out time, 1 p.m. Quiet hours: 10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Sue Gardner

Beautiful park. Great trails and private camp spots.

Deborah Ith

Nice Oasis in the desert. The campsites are spaced out, each has shade trees and bushes creating a private feel. There is a day use area accross the street from the campground where the Washington State Discover Pass is accepted. The campground has a pleasant restroom with quarter showers and fresh water available. A trail follows the nearby stream providing a nice evening stroll or access for fishing.

carol tesch

No electric or WiFi and is very worth the expense. All nature.

A primitive campground that was probably built by the CCC in the 30's or 40's. Tent camping friendly with no electricity in the camping area, central water locations and time tested restrooms. On the banks of the Touchet River offering fishing opportunities. Roughly 1/2 way between Waitsburg (very few services) and Dayton ( some services). For RV travelers there are 2 RV campgrounds in the immediate area that serve RV campers much better.

One of few campgrounds along the river that allows fire due to being surrounded by a grove of trees. Camp host was chopping wood when we arrived, $5 bundle, and you could tell took pride in his work. There's 1 centrally located cabin/bathroom with 4 stalls and a shower ($0.50 for 3 min) for each gender and we only saw 2 water spigots. All the sites seem shaded and have privacy however some look like putting a tent up would be cramped. We noticed mosquitos as soon as we exited the car but not more than any other campground; we sprayed ourselves in the evening but didnt feel the need in the morning. There's also a small trail that leads to/along the river bank.

Robert Coker

Lots of information and very full of History

Lori Moore

This was our scond time camping here. The Touchet River is at the edge of the camp ground, fun to fish in and fun to play in the water on a hot day, Camp sites are fairly private. Nice walking trails on both side of HWY 12 and a good place to bring your bike too. VERY friendly staff, Thank you Tom and Shirley. They show an outside movie every saturday night for the kids. love it and will return

Make sure you reserve the right campground. There's lots with the same name. Primitive sights are nice and by the river. Showers cost $

Great spot availability, showers and restrooms. Just like any other campground, neighbors are a crap shoot.

Kiwi Ludge

Great , clean camp ground. When we went there was a fire ban. And the only swimming they had was a creek full of water bugs. We planned for 4 days of camping and left 2 days early. It was super hot with no way to swim. U have to really entertain yourself, not much to do. Staff is super nice, they were able to refund us the other 2 days. They also drive around 2 check on everyone here and there. They have rentalable camp grounds with tepees. They looked very roomy and cool.

Mandy Vetter

My favorite place to get away from town

Christine Kiemele

Young man working at park was exceptional. Sites were lovely, quiet, private, grassy areas. Pretty walking trails, that take you to river. Pavement on main road, so clear air not dusty. Price however was high, for no power or water.

Heidi Horak

Nice and peaceful campground. Flush toilets, pay showers are camping novelties we're not used to. Some highway traffic can be heard, but not too bad through the night.

Pulled in but didn't stay when we realized that $32 without any hookups, or a senior discount

Dave Ellison

Nice little campground. The check in process was a little bit odd. If you have reservations you have to walk about 100 yards to a little house to use the yellow phone to check in, then walk back to the pay station to finish checking in. We stayed in site 7, which had a fair amount of privacy. Sites 8 and 9 don't have much separating them, so would be a good choice if you are reserving 2 spots at once. Our site was deep enough to back our 24 ft (actual length 29ft) trailer into and leave it hitched to the truck. Access to the river was very close as well.

Campsites offer more privacy than most, but no hookups are available.

Love it

The place is OK. Nothing special. A bit over priced @ $30 dollars a night for no water or electric. Most of the water spigots are locked and I only found one in the middle of the park that worked. The shower costs $.50 for 3 mins. It took almost a minute for the hot water to kick in.

Tori Fleury

From the highway you would never think you would find such a great hideaway, great swimming and adventuring!
