This Park corresponds to the category of State park.
Wonderful place to go all year long.
Beautiful! Great for an adventure and/or a swim. Lots of space with stuff to do and see. Bring the family and the dogs for an all day activity.
BEAUTIFUL place to paddle board when its warm. pretty windy though.
This place place is absolutely amazing!!! The beach area is large, the water is relatively warm! And more
Very nice place for weekend camping trip. State park camp sites have clean facilities and excellent nature around. Also close to seattle.
Great park, awesome camping ground.. Great facility overral.
Most of the mosquitoes are gone, the days are comfortable with cool nights. A great place for camping and hiking. The leaves are starting to change, hurry here comes the snow.
Beautiful place! Great to swim and kayak. Lots of camp spots.
Beautiful place water is clear and definitely cools you off.
Beautiful beach! There is a cute little store with ice cream, food, and other camping sundries. There is a neat play area for the kids. Great parking when you can get here early enough. I haven't camped here in years, but come to the day use area a couple times a year. Not so much fun when the wind is high.
Very nice spot. Has nasty bugs though....
Had a really good time camping with the family. Beautiful place. Very much recommend visiting this place.
Great beach. Really nice water with great scenary.
Beautiful lake. Nice hikes.
Windy but a fun place to stop and explore
Stayed only one nightl lots of running and walking trails
Beautiful views of the lake and a calm surrounding area
We had a great weekend. The office service from Moe was excellent and she was very friendly and the camp hosts were so helpful and friendly also. We will be returning. The park could some additional boat trailer parking but all in all it was an awesome 4 days we will be returning.
Gorgeous. Well maintained. Amenities are modern, but don't disturb the natural beauty of this place.
Was a very i interesting place
As pretty as the picture
It's absolutely beautiful. The lake itself is nearly pristine (it IS developed for recreational use, after all). The campsites are clean and meticulously kept, the surroundings grand and awesome, and even the man-made artifacts do not detract from the overwhelming glory of this place. It's quite family-friendly with little danger for little ones, at least as little as can be in a mostly natural setting. Not for the avid outdoorsman perhaps, but for a great many of us who just want to unplug for a few hours and simply breathe, a jewel in the Washington crown; and for those who might crave a bit more, Leavenworth is less than an hour distant by car. Sadly, cell phones do work here. That's why they have an 'off' switch!
Nice lake, nice landscape, nice tempature in the summer, just to many people. I personally don't like being around a lot of people and it's definitely a crowded and popular place on nice days
This place is so beautiful. I loved our girls weekend .
Wonderful place to camp, hike around the lake, play at the playground, hang out at the beach, or take out a boat
We loved the lake, rocky beach, and mountains in the background. The campsites are very close together and very little privacy. The campground has decent bathrooms. The campsites are a decent size with picnic tables.
Enjoyed camping here as a kid, and still enjoyed it as an adult. The only downside is the campsites don't have a ton of privacy, and the park gets super busy during summer weekends. We went during the week this time, and were happy to have nobody on either side of us. Most of the sites are decently spacious. Park has a couple small trails, as well as ample beach space for swimming, kayaking and so forth. Showers were a disappointment (typical for Washington State Parks). The sign said 50 cents for 3 minutes, however, one shower lasted 1 minute, 58 seconds, and another went 2 minutes, 20 seconds (timed on my phone starting when I put money in to when the water shut off), plus took about 15-20 seconds to warm enough to tolerate.
Clean water. Great beach in WA
Great park. VERY busy on summer weekends and can be hard to find parking, and space on the beach. Very windy when we went, made it a little cold even though it was 85 degrees that day. Nice swimming area.
We love this campground! We always stay in the north campground - and in a site that has utilities. (FYI, If the site is a pull through, it has water and power) There is a playground in the middle by the restroom and trails going around the north campground & to the lake. We love the north beach! Less crowded than the south beach swim area, which is more more day use. There’s camping on the south side, too, but more for tents and small trailers. No utilities on the south side. The beach is amazing - end of July it’s super shallow and pretty warm. No life guard. There is a concession stand for renting kayaks and SUPs, plus a camp store. Warning - if the wind comes up, the lake is pretty rough for boats and boards. Mosquitos this year were pretty thick. First time we’d had a problem. But we can’t wait to return next July!
Great place, not usually busy and the lake is good. Haven't physicaly camped here, but it's usually full so I'd assume it's good. I love taking my dogs here and play in the water.
Beautiful place, good to take some extraordinary photos and spend time with the family and friends enjoying the view. 100% recommended.
This is our favorite campground. It's absolutely beautiful.
Been here twice for brief visits, both during summer, and it is beautiful, with activities for the whole family on the beach. Extremely windy both visits, however, but that doesnt stop families from picnicking and enjoying the water and plaground.
Beautiful Crystal Clean Water but windier than heck no signs or not because and coldest water around
We camped here for a weekend and the mosquitoes were insane. The ticks are abundant too. The facilities are cleaned by attendants daily but not cleaned well. It is beautiful there but there are plenty of nearby places with less issues around. No matter what you decide to do, bring bug repellent!
Really overcrowded and campsites are right on top of each other so no privacy. They do have really clean bathrooms though
Camp ground are clean with showers and flushed toilets! Nice Beach area near the south loop!
Beautiful, well managed park. Fabulous staff!!!
Fantastic park! Can be crowded and windy. Designated swimming area. Campground with many lake view sites. Boat launch in S park, follow signs. Requires Discovery Pass (can purchase on site).
Nice park but was full and didn't have a camp host. bathrooms were dirty. Costs us over $50 for the 2 day weekend without water or power. Most sites have no privacy and it's hard to make a reservation. It's a great place and would be better than average if it wasn't so crowded.
This place and its views are just stunning ♡
Absolutely beautiful! This place is idyllic, and that is not a word I use lightly. A pristine lake with fantastic beaches for rock collecting, gorgeous forest to hike through, a day wonderfully well spent.
Best place to camp with family. We camped on south campground and loved it! Plenty of space with privacy. Peaceful and kids can explore the woods. The lake is right down the hill from our camp site so that was nice. Plan ahead for this place gets pack and full fast. Will be going again.
Exceptional! The beaches, the trails, the water activities, and the lovely campground. We stayed at site #168, and it was outstanding . Huge, and total privacy. The foliage in June was filling the air with a sweet smell, and Trails leading to the Lake. During our stay , thank you to the surrounding campers who were quiet. No rowdy city slickers playing their music blasting loud!! Those people can stay home!
Absolutely killer views. Definitely get your spot at the North Campground if you want lake access. My man Crawford (Park Aide) at the office was super accommodating when we wanted to switch our camp spot (we had no idea the North campground had the views it had until we saw for ourselves). That guy made our trip, give that man a raise!
Bathrooms were clean and camp well maintained really nice chipmunks everywhere.
We had a great time. Nice park with respectful campers.
Absolutely love it! Just stunning this time of the year and the water was actually pretty warm!
So this is a beautiful place to be. You can float on floats, kayaks, etc. we have our own kayaks but you can rent them there and all the gear. We spent the day here kayaking and it’s just gorgeous. Easy in and out. Very clean and pristine.
Great place for water sports but making camping reservations way ahead of time.
This is a wonderful under discovered covered place in Washington State
This is one of my most favorite spots to visit. Whether you are there in the summer time to enjoy horseback riding, canoeing, walking around the river, swimming in the river or camping or there in the Winter time using the snow trails and visiting the beautiful forest this is the most serene place on the planet.
Very clean and beautiful. The restroom was super clean. Ample parking for this time of the year. Can imagine summer being super busy.
Too windy for kayaking, loved our camp site, it was clean..
Great place to recreate. Water sports areas, campsites, communal cooking areas, beach, store, approved fire pits, paved roads to keep dust down, restroom and shower area...All around well put together!
Very much enjoyed our stay at lake wenatchee!
Great park for camping, swimming, water fun, and more for the entire family. It can get windy and a little cold but otherwise a fantastic place to enjoy and experience the great outdoors. The park staff are phenomenal.
Great retreat for boating and small shoreline area very clean
Lots of stuff to do. Good price, easy access.
This place is amazing. The lake and camo grounds are beautiful with trails everywhere and plenty of sights to see. There are kids toy structures, bathrooms with showers and areas to throw away garbage. Everything is well maintained!
Just one word..serene.. and if you want to spend a day or a couple of hours then use the south entrance which leads to beach directly. Just pay for a day pass if you don't have discover pass.
Nothing but beauty...stopped here on out hunt for waterfalls, as always the great PNW did not disappoint.
Awesome lake with very nice campsites. Was a very windy the day we were there but would definitely come back in the summer for a beautiful day at the lake.
So convenient. So peaceful.
Not much fish in the lake at all. But it is beautiful.
Beautiful place! We rented some kayaks and enjoyed paddling around the lake. The sand and water sparkles from tiny little flakes of what I guess to be mica. The only frustrating part was buying a discovery pass for parking. The machine at the kiosk was broken, so we couldn't pay with card. We didn't have the right amount of cash on us, and all the offices were closed by 4:00 on a weekday. So we had to drive around until we found a gas station with an ATM.
the water is beautiful and that area is nice
Beautiful place to be and camp
Beautiful location, 15 min free or can buy a parking pass on the spot. (Photos (c) 2019.)
Beautiful place with breath taking view.
Had a good time camping and even more fun swimming. Would recommend.
Very nice campground. Really quiet and the people around us were very friendly. The South park has a camp store, water access, kayak rentals and more. Plus you're only 20 minutes or so from Leavenworth. Plenty of things to do while camping here. Lots of curious chipmunks around.
A beautiful park, clean and well-maintained. We were there on a Sunday and it wasn’t even very crowded.
Beautiful views, good camping, nice hikes, very good visit. We didn't get a chance to rent horses or a kayak but they were there if we had the time.
Had a good time swimming here!
Amazing view from the campsite as well as good parks and trails for hiking
An impromptu stop along the Cascade loop turned out to be a great place. There are plenty of campgrounds, a very nice beach and a day use area. There is a store renting kayaks and fishing gear. Highly recommend this place of you are visiting the Cascades area.
Beautiful place! Pictures do not do it justice!
What a beautiful little spot in a gorgeous part of our state. Permits required...
A little Rocky so bring water shoes if you have them. Otherwise a beautiful, refreshing place to rest and take a dip!
Well maintained campsites, beautiful location.
Excellent weather today after 4 pm
This park by far is the best of best — neat, organized, and of course, gorgeous — cordial park rangers, a beautiful lake, super clean bathrooms, showers, and so forth. The only problem with this campground is DEAR mosquitos!! If you plan to spend a night here, DO NOT forget to take your insect repellent! Also, id you use the facility in spring or summer, be on the lookout for bears, especially if you have naughty dogs!
One of my favorite lakes in the PNW. It is absolutely stunning to see, especially during the winter.
This place was amazing, spacious camping sites with everything you need close by! The campground is located right next to the lake where you can kayak, swim or explore. The park offers affordable rentals and freshly scooped ice cream. Check this place out if your headed to leavenworth, 10 times better than any hotel experience!
Rocky beach and packed but beautiful views! Lots for kids to do. The store is great and serves food and ice-cream!
So beautiful. Lots of camping and day use. Beach is HUGE!!
This is a wonderful place to camp and for day use. There are many amenities to meet the needs of visitors. What a beautiful view of the mountains above. The staff was friendly and area was clean. I will be going back to visit again.
The lake is beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful place, and we WILL be going back soon!
If you love nature, go for it. Gorgeous scenery.
Very busy area. Not much of an escape from the crowd. But quite beautiful otherwise
Great place for late night parties, since quiet hours are completely optional
This is a great lake to kayak but unfortunately there was a forest fire nearby so we didn't get to see very far into the distance... but what we could see was just wonderful. The launch area was very nice, clean and easy to get in and out.
Beautiful park! Lake Wenatchee is a gem.
I was up in the area and decided to stop by and the place is simply beautiful. If you are looking for a great place to kayak or paddleboard this would certainly be it as the scenery is incredible with this large lake and the mountains all around. The place can get quite crowded but there is plenty of parking and although it isn't free, the $10 charge if you don't have a pass is completely worth it. There are also a few easy trails if you are looking to get some hiking in.
Great area in WA state. Love going back. So beautiful.
We camped there for a few nights and loved all the conveniences of restroom, showers and hiking trails all close by. The view of the lake with mountains in the background was beautiful. Every afternoon the wind blew, only at the lake, not at campground, and made me wish we still windsurfed.
Very clean bathrooms, a small store right by the lake, a great camping place.
Nice place to go with the family and enjoy watersports or some swimming. Ideal for bbq's gatherings.
South Entrance, 2 stars for the fact that dogs are OK on the beach (saw multiple dogs do their business on the sand, owner eventually cleaned up after one of them the other one peed.. On the sand... That people lay on.. And kids play in..
Beautiful Lake and campground. Great amenities and convenient shop store for ice, ice cream, food and forgotten supplies. They have kayak rentals when the wind isn't blowing on the lake. When the wind was blowing there where people wind surfing on the lake. The wind at night makes it sound like you are on the ocean. The beach is breathtaking and there is Emerald Island nearby that is easy to kayak to. Right next to the lake is the start of the Wenatchee River. Awesome place for kids and adults. Watch out for the Chipmunks they like to eat and beware of the mosquitoes when the wind isn't blowing.
Had lunch on the shore awesome place to go..
Good weekend getaway from seattle in summer. Lake view is awesome to enjoy, if you can withstand strong wind flowing over the lake. Nice, clean and quiet camp sights accompanied by toilets, bath and warming booths as well as soothing Nasson creek. And Leavenworth is not too far from this place.
Love this place. Beautiful area. We come here every year.
Wonderful place. Good for a few nights. Very clean restrooms and showers.
Spacious camp sites, lots to do Round here nit to mention close priximaxity to Leavenworth!
One of our favorite places to camp!
Incredible mountain views, swimming area, boat launch, nice restrooms too. Worth at least an afternoon visit if not a multiple day stay! Tons of hiking in the hills nearby. Take the road to Plain for some unique scenery on the way into Leavenworth!
Most Beautiful place, must visit
The stars at night are breathtaking. The lake is beautiful and clear.
So incredibly beautiful! Just like a postcard.
It's beautiful and a quiet place to go on a hike or go for a swim. There is lots of things to do in the park and arround the park.
Great lake and nice camping.
Lovely spot. Usually windy in the afternoon.
Absolutely stunning in every way. What a treasure this is!
Best to come in early or late season so it is not packed Very beautiful beach. Hiking, minimal fishing, swimming, kayaking, fire pits and picnic table at each tent pad. Available bathrooms, showers and water
Beautiful and so much fun!! We went hiking & kayaking! I would check the wind conditions if you plan on kayaking.
Poor signage in the park. We never even found the water.
What an amazing place to visit. Great lake view with mountains surrounding it
Beautiful clear clean water, never seen a lake so clear. Warm in summer months, great kayaking . Will definitely be back! Very cared for park
It was an amazing experience especially watching sunset over here. If you are lucky, you can literally see the sun setting between the two mountains. There are also lot of Camping facilities on the northern side of the park. Discovery pass is required
Scenic views, Glacier water and wonderful amenities makes this a great place for day trips and camping.
Great park with camping, hiking, horseback riding, beach, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, boating. Can have a stiff breeze that makes human powered craft challenging. Get outside into the trees!
Peaceful, serene breezy. Nice half a mile walk through the woods leading to this beauty. Would come back again
Parking was a bit insane, but the beach is nice and the mountain views are beautiful.
Absolutely awesome! We rented three kayaks and boated all over the lake. What a wonderful afternoon. And the staff at the kayak and Paddle boat rental trailer are just phenominal. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Cannot wait to go back again. This is a highlight if our trip to Washington state. Enjoy!
Our site was in the North Campground, and we didn’t have hookups, we were very pleased with site size and privacy. It was also a nice area to go for walks, runs and bike rides on the trails nearby. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. We also really enjoyed the river beach area which was just a short walk from our campsite. We did head over to the south campground for a day at the beach (sandy beach!!) and it was a very windy day which resulted in quite a bit of waves! But we did rent a kayak (very reasonable pricing!) for our son, which he loved. A beautiful spot and we had great weather. We will definitely be back!
We always have a good time. Site 109 has very fine Brown dirt. Your feet will look like you've tanned them.
Excellent place! Great day with the kids!
Beautiful, clean campground. Short walk to the lake. Clean restrooms. This was our second visit and we'll go back.
Fantastic beach and great facilities (food, restrooms, showers, etc) right near the beach. Gets very crowded on summer afternoons.
Sites are large and well maintained, tent pad was good for two tents and sand base flat. Bathrooms clean and had showers. Only negative was conditions, windy most days, made for poor kayak conditions.
Great place for family and a nice swim area. What a beautiful view of the mountains. Don't forget your Parks Pass thou.
Lake Wenatchee is a beautiful place. It is best to come early in the day to enjoy the lake. By mid-afternoon it is typically very windy. there is a snack bar at the lake. You can rent houses along the shore. Great designated camping spots with plenty of bike trails.
The best lake in the state for swimming. The water is clear, the facility is clean, and the view is phenomenal.
One of the nicest state parks near Leavenworth. The water is calm and perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. You also get amazing sunset views from the south beach.
It's a perfect place to go camping with your family or friends; There's places to go hiking, swimming, even indoor restrooms and showers!! It's way worth the drive, trust me.
One gorgeous, unspoiled, park. Situated minutes from Stevens Pass in one direction and Leavenworth, a Bavarian style village in the other direction. Lake Wenatchee has water play, trails, camping spots and playgrounds for kids too.
This is my go to park for summer, but it needs some love and work done to it; namely, remodelong and modernizing the barhrooms
Absolutely gorgeous campground with spacious sites and easy access to Nason Creek. Lots of squirrels and the biggest woodpecker I have ever seen. Only way to make it better would be showers.
Everything was great except for the yellow jackets! We had to eat all our meals inside because they were so aggressive.
Very windy but awesome!
A beautiful setting, great place to relax.
Nice place to go. Lots of poeple when it is hot and on the weekends. Good pace for kids to play but watch out for all the kids.
Very well maintained grounds on a beautiful lake.
Super clean, and quiet camp site. We made reservation online so everything was prepared.
Beautiful park.
Great public lake access. Wish there was more.
Serene place to visit in all season, this place shows different view on each season
It’s okay. Should be cleaned a little bit more with the logs and stuff
Very beautiful lake I've never been here before but coming here for the first time it was amazing the bathrooms and showers were very clean highly recommend and theres a place to camp as well but not on the beach
Clean, nice spacious sites, great views, beautiful lake
Really good prices, water and pest and more (Supplies)
Love it, nature at it best. Super powerful wind.
Beautiful scenery. My only complaint was that the cross country skiing route ran right through the main area. Kind of makes it hard to get down to the beach if you're dodging all the skiers and the fines for walking on the skiing trail.
This is a lovely park, but it's too popular for my taste.
