Great day for fishing.
Pretty dang nice, lots of spots on the lake's edge, nice restrooms/showers, great for the kiddos (swim pool/play area/equipment). It only loses some appeal when overcrowded (they'll literally tell you "NO" ~ Parking lot's full/boat ramp's too full/camp ground full) even though you JUST (30 seconds ago) dropped a good amount of coin for year round access/use/pass/license etc.
Still the best place to hook the RV up and relax.
Super fun. Me and my family go camping every month from may to September, and this was a great way to kick off the year.
Amazing park, you have to come enjoy it one day.
Amazing views and very nice employees and great service and very quick
Always a family favorite! Affordable camping experience offering clean bathrooms including showers. Family friendly hiking, fishing and swimming area available at campground, and expansive swimming, boating and picnicking available at day use area. Discovery Pass is required for use.
Great place to relax.
Love this park! It's huge and the swimming area is great for kids.
Went early in the morning, and it is very peaceful and quiet
Very nice secluded and clean
Awesome/beautiful place! Some camp sites are very small! And there is alot of asphalt! But overall we had a great time!
Picture perfect nature setting.
Beautiful place
Well kept park, good facilities and lots to do!
Great hideaway place to camp or stay in their cabin's which are nice and a view.
Beautiful park...nice little swimming area, great little Trails, so serene, relaxing, feel like you're in another world. I love that part of Hwy 12.
We visited on a weekend in July and although the park was full, it still felt very spacious and private in our loop. Few sites are actually on the lake shore, but many have a peekaboo view like ours ( Site # 80 ) did. Although we were up the hillside from the lake we were able to pack the kayaks to the shore in front of our site and launch. Water activities are the main attraction at this park. There are 1.5 miles of hiking trails including a nice trail that follows the lake shore. The park has restrooms and showers, a dump station, day use area with picnic tables and horseshoe pits. For us kayaking was the highlight. We paddled north along the shoreline, past the day use area, under the bridge and all the way until we couldn't go any further. Along the way we encountered a shallow area where boats park and party during the day, including a float-able beer-pong table! Past that area the waterway starts to narrow and eventually you end up between two towering rock walls on either side. Along the way we also found a small creek that we explored on foot and it lead to a waterfall. It was a wonderful kayak adventure. We will definitely visit this campground again!
Picture speaks better than WORDS
Awesome! Park well maintained. Bathrooms clean. Tilton river great! I'll be back!
The day park was closed!
Beautiful lake to kayak/boat/swim in
Is very nice I love this place
Awesome park. Great hiking trails, swimming and boating.
Nice, quiet area. Good for adults
Boat launch, fishing, swimming, camping, rv/trailer hook ups, waterfront cabins and clean facilities.
Very nice park. Went for a little hike with the kids. Great place for swimming also.
Great time
Been going here all my life...
Great park with friendly staff. We went in February so there weren't a lot of people. The park was quiet and peaceful, just like we wanted. The bathrooms and grounds were well maintained and clean. Not hard to see why this is chosen each year as a favorite camping spot in Lewis County.
My boyfriend and I stayed in camping spot number 86. Could not ask for a prettier spot, very respectful neighboring campers, gorgeous scenery and probably the cleanest well-maintained restrooms of any state park I've ever been to. Highest recommendation from myself and boyfriend. Just a note I am visiting from the state of Illinois
Thus park is a lot of fun! Although no swings :( it sure has a lot to offer. Great view of lush scenery and crystal clear pond make for a forest feel. The kids will love the wooden playground / jungle-jim. My 4 year old daughter loves it here. Not to mention, nearby is an amazing hike with great stop offs to swim or just relax in nature. You will enjoy yourself here.
This is a great little park right on the water . Have spent the day there numerous times. Not crowded and we'll maintained.
Beautiful state park on Mayfield Lake. The lake is man made for the Mayfield dam so very few houses on it. Lots of beautiful views, and a public swimming and picnic area. Camp grounds too.
Great place to camp.....
Very nice place to spend some time while driving down US12.
The spaces where huge !!! Easy pull through for camping trailers and site 28 was right on the water. Camp host where helpful and friendly. Fishing at Swofford pond was great. Just a small drive from the park.
Great place to camp!!
The camp sites are a bit expensive and close together. The area is well maintained and the lake is easily accessible at many points. If you zoom in there is a baby bunny in the picture.
Having a great time
Lots of parking, nice bathrooms, easy kayaking loading
Lovely state park on a beautiful reservoir. Top notch.
Nice camp sites, very close to lake, bathrooms clean but could use a little refresh - would definitely go back.
Clean and fun for kids of all ages
Cabins are nice and basic Waterfront has a great View restroom and shower nearby trails to hike and the lake is plenty big to fish lots of different types of fish
Great place to picnic, hike and swim
Stop here when ever we're in town!
One of the best RV campgrounds I've ever been to! Spacious sites... Excellent separation between sites... All paved access... Level sites... Beautiful lake... Clean bathrooms & showers... Only knock is that the bathrooms were a bit small for the size of the campground... Highly recommended!!!
Beautiful and full of fish
We love swimming at the Mayfield Lake here as well as their campsites. Hopefully, next year we can get a reservation to one of the cabins. Definitely need to reserve things asap, WAY ahead of time since they fill up pretty fast. In any case, this is one of our favorite campsites to spend summer in!
A nice park on the lake, a great place to get away and explore on foot or with a boat.
Very pretty, boat launch is in great condition, and the campground sites are well situated with easy access to water and facilities.
Nice park, bathrooms not so much, better trail and/or lighting would help campers find their way at night better.
The lake is beautiful just drove by state park looks nice!
I love this place, it's my new favorite camp ground. The bathroom and shower facilities are very good but not amazing unless you are by the cabins which are incredible. privacy in most campgrounds is reasonably good for a state park far better than some like the 1000 trails facility near by. The lake is warm and clean.
Love this campground. Very forestry and private. Private trails to swimmable lake. Visited mount st. Helens on a day trip. Lovely sunsets looking at a jungle lined water front across the lake.
I went in very late October, and the park was quiet. There seemed to be still a decent amount of RVs, but all the campsites were silent. The water is clear, and there's a lot of amazing bird activity.
Its always nice and clean. The kids enjoy swimming there
So fun and clean
Wonderful place to go unwind. People really nice. An the scenery is very beautiful and well maintained
Amazing place for whole family
Loved the park if you are I In full hook up sewer is not working
My family and I had an amazing time today for the 4th. The people around were amazing and the park was a great place to relax and get away from the 9 to 5 life. 5 stars all the way.
Great place to camp. Lots of trails, water..facilities available for disabled people like my husband. Would highly recommend.
We enjoy zike very, we appreciate the sites with hookups a d overall this is the nicest State Park.
Beautiful campground! I camped here as a kid but it has been over 20 years and the memories came flooding back as soon as we got here! The campsites are spacious and well groomed, as well as pretty private & the hosts / rangers are super nice as well. We were frustrated to find so many empty campsites that were not filled (no shows) over the entire weekend but they did not open them back up for others. There was also a very nice site that someone just used to park their boat in for a week so that was frustrating for those who want to camp but the park says "full" when in reality the entire weekend there was a handful of empty sites or just being used for "parking". Sucks for families who want to actually camp. Mayfield lake is great for water sports & fishing. We kayaked this time but next time we come we will bring the boat for sure. I will also give a heads up that sites 1-40ish are close to the main road so during the day you get a lot of road noise. Very little vehicle traffic in the park though so that was nice. We will be back and have picked out our favorite sites for next time! :-)
Was beautiful and pretty calm. Has shower and bathrooms. Designated roped off swimming area. BBQ pits, picnic tables and playground!
We went to Ike Kinswa today to escape the heat and noise as our house was being reroofed. A young couple moved a table into the shade for us. Ike Kinswa Park on Mayfield Lake is a great place for all to enjoy. Watched geese in the water, fish jumping and even an eagle in flight.
Loved it. Did need more frequent bathroom maintenance. But it was a ton of fun.
Beautiful state park that is well kept. Nice trail along the lake. Lake is suitable to go swimming in during the summer months. Camping sites are large with picnic bench and fire pit at each site. There is plenty of privacy between each site also. Only downside to this place was the strict 2.30pm arrival time. We arrived around midday and noticed our site was vacant but we still weren’t allowed to check in. Also the showers take tokens at a dollar for 2. Each token lasts 3 minutes. Unfortunately the shower was cold and wasted $. Weirdly the sink tap water was hot though when I’d put the tokens in. Hopefully it can be sorted so others don’t waste their money.
Great campground, but little day use parking.
There are spiders all over the bathrooms and showers; Big fat spiders probably capable of eating a bird. My little 15yr old brother went to the bathrooms and he didn't return until I had to go find him only to realize he was being held prisoner by these spiders; It was hilarious. Now to the review: You have to pay to take showers: $1 = 1 token = +3 minutes. The machine only takes $1 bills, $5 bills, and maybe quarters(but be careful of the little black spider that might mug you of your tokens). As far as I know, there are only 2 shower rooms and 1 of them doesn't work. If it doesn't work, the machine returns your token. As for the spots, they are really spacious. Very good places to have a barbecue or something. I think the spots are about 25ft to 35ft long I haven't been able to do too many measurements. The sites include water and electric hook-up but there are no sewege hook-ups for any site as far as I know, instead there is a dump station near the entrance of the park. There is a lake right next to the area of the cabins with a drinking fountain for dogs as well as dog waste bag holder. That's all I have for this review and I hope you enjoy your stay better than my little brother did.
always a great visit
I have been coming here since I was a child and it was one of my favorite family spots. The lake was so low and was disgusting. We ended up not swimming because the water quality was terrible.
Loved the dog friendly cabin and great weather.
Beautiful park. Lots of green space. Camps sites clean and well maintained.
Beautiful location but ski boats run to close to fishing boats and spoiled kids in daddy's boat playing load music and trying to swamp swimmers makes it a nonfamily friendly place Fisher men beware they don't abide by boating laws
Amazing, peaceful && relaxing. Had all 4 of my pups and all my children and despite the weather it was still an absolute blast. Can't wait to come back ♡♡ The picture was taken right behind our camp site on one of the many trails there is to explore
Beautiful but ranger kicked us out of the park
This isnt so much about the park as it is their "boat launch. It has just two ramps and you usually have to clear stumps and debris before you can do any launching. Parking is about 100 yards or so away so you'll be trekking a bit back and forth. The only great point is that it's pretty out of the way so you usually aren't battling with others to get launched.
Great park, we love it here. No sewer hookups but a very nice park.
So fun you should go there
This place is always wicked busy. You want to book In advance or be the first on site for the same day sites.
Beautiful setting. Nice campground. You can swim. You can boat.
Spacious camp sites and friendly staff. The river and lake are beautiful.
We camp out every year, fun place on the lake, camp fires and plenty of laughter
Area beautiful but no restrooms and places for handicap to sit
Gorgeous. Camping. River. Day use area
Awesome. Nice park. Clean and well staffed.
Beautiful park that sits on Mayfield lake. The downfall is its expensive for an RV site up to $50. a night.
Nice campground. Paved sites. We only stayed overnight, so we didn't really explore much. Near a lake. Seemed to be a good place for families to come.
Super nice park. Campsite right on the water. Boat ramp, nice trails. Large camp sites. Water, sewer included. I have Virgin Mobile and have full coverage.
So nice clean . rv spots have water power
Beautiful setting by Mayfield Lake. Excellent camp sites, very clean, with good privacy and plenty of shade. This one is going on our repeat list!
Really nice place. Quiet, great for just relaxing, kids can play without the worry of traffic, and there's a lake for fishing. Lots of trees, good cover from direct sunlight if you want, and open areas if you need sun. Primitive camp sites to full hookup, and canine rental available. Highly recommended!
Nice campground with showers and easy access to Mayfield lake
This is mainly a review of the State Park staff. The park ranger, D. Rush absolutely saved our weekend along with the camp host. We showed up with bad outside information that it was on a first come first serve and the park was completely full of folks with reservations. Ranger Rush put us in an overflow spot that he certainly didn't have to do and was extremely nice and it was more than appreciated. Friendly people to talk to and more than helpful. We will be going back in the future if nothing but for the friendly staff and really clean park.
Beautiful and very peaceful
One of Gods beautiful natural places.
Amazing camp sites!
Great RV sites. Easy fit for a 35' coach, possibly more. Fairly level, lots of space around each site. Room for tents. Nice fire pits and picnic tables. Power and water, no dump at individual sites.
Ike Kinswa is a beautiful state park with camping, cabins and even spots. It's about 20 miles off of I5 on the way to White Pass.
Great park with access to beautiful lake!
Great swimming area that has plenty of picnic tables and shade. Also has a playground and a restroom with showers and changing stalls. We loved the fact that there was room for our jet ski to come close to the swimming area to pick up people for tubing so we could easily swim while waiting for a turn out on the lake.
All the birds. Its peaceful.
I guess this is an anything goes park. Beautiful but already sick of the loud music from the other side of the loop. Camp host is of no use because there isn’t one. Picked up the trash in my site that fill a kitchen trash bag. I thought this area of the country was all about the greenies? I’d say they suck at what they preach! *Edit I downgrade this to 1 star after the second night. State of Washington has no control here. If I wasn’t paid in advance I’d leave in the morning. Pity
Lots to see, clean, safe place to day trip or camp. Kid and pet friendly.
Great park. My family loves this lake.
Shoreline was closed, but the short hike was nice.
Very nice and well kept park. Ranger Dave was helpful and told us everything we needed for our trip this time and what to do for our next trip as far as how busy they get and how hot and what fish to expect to catch. We will definitely put this on our yearly calendar.
Well maintained with great fishing and view's
Great park and hookups. Some nice hikes around the lake.
The family took a drive out to check out this park for a future visit and really liked it and can not wait to stay there in the future.
Great Except for the rain
Not very handicap accessible.
Very pretty! Large sites, good pull through for trailers. No sewer hook up at our site, but the dump station was open.
Awesome, the park personal wad extremely nice and provided great customer service
Clean, wooded, beautiful, not too many clunker sites. We'll be back
Awesome swim beach for kids and adults alike, beautiful campgrounds. My family and I always have lots od fun going there.
Just stopped by to check it out. Really enjoyed the park/swimming side. Peaceful and relaxing. Definitely plan on coming back for a longer stay.
We went in late summer and water level must of been low .it was mostly mud
Nice park for camping in the trees. Full hookup RV sites that are not too close.
Fun camping. If you are going to go to this camp ground you have to wake up at 7:30 am 9 months in advance and reserve the spot that you want. The best camping spot is easily spot 14. It's also good for kids to ride their bikes around and swim.
It's good the site I had said was a large but could not get my trailer through it even though it was a pull through. Nice place
Fantastic place to bring young kids to camp. We stayed 3 days / 2 nights and my son and daughter, age 6 & 3, never got bored. Amazing flat trail/hike around the lake. Wooden playground and amazing swimming area.
Would have given 5 stars, but the sewer hookups were out of service and they didn't tell us. The rest of the park is great. Boat launch close by, playground, swimming area, great trout fishing, fairly private camp sites.
Great state park! Much quieter than Mayfield Lake campground on the other side of the lake.
