We stayed for 5 days in our motorhome. This is a GREAT place to visit. The camp hosts are just superb! If it weren't for Sherman Pass we would make this a regular and frequent place to stay. It was incredibly hot during our visit at 105 degrees -- but the atmosphere and the park made everything worthwhile. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

This is another one of Washington's great state parks. A great place to get outside and enjoy nature.

Steven Miller

very beautiful Park and it has a fishing dock

Dustin N

Great place to camp and get out on a lake. Lots of spots to explore the lake. Close to town and amenities. Nice camp hosts. Swimming area for kids.

Ben Nelson

Beautiful lake! There is always good fishing here, and the kids love the beach area.

Thomas Engle

Clean restroom, friendly staff, nice camping sites for tents and rv's, with full hook ups. The fishing is some of the best fishing to be had locally

The friendliest campground staff ever

Love this state park. We don't camp there, just launch our boat, but the campground is lovely. They have tree stumps with checkerboards painted on them and checkers just wanting to be played. The campground is so clean! And we always make good use of their fish cleaning station!

Jerry Estrin

Great park Great fishing summer and winter

Beautiful campgrounds and friendly workers!!

One of the best state parks I've been to. Always clean and well maintained, and the lake is always amazing. Great fishing of many varieties, most notably trout. Also great for watersports. However, there is almost NO cell reception at the park, nor is there any WiFi. Occasionally you might get lucky out on one of the two docks with texting, but that's about it.

Brian Holle

Super great park next to a lake. Was easy to get an RV spot during the middle of the week with no reservations. Easy access to the boat ramp. Lots and lots of tent only camping spots that are nearest the lake. Great place for summer fun!

Diana Fein

Pleasant lake and campground. A bit noisy with kids and dogs, but clean and well cared for.

Travis Perry

Hot. Very hot. Other than that, it's a nice park. Grounds were really well maintained. Camp host was on his mower the second someone checked out. Great sprinkler system kept the grass green and soft and gave the kids something to cool off in. Nice little swimming area away from the boat launch. The boat launch had a lot of lake weed but none that would affect launching your boat. Next to the boat launch there was free life jackets to borrow and a fish cleaning station and gut bucket so you didn't have to have that back at your camp. Camp hosts sold fire wood, ice, and ice cream.

Great place to take the family camping. There is swimming and plenty of shore accessible fishing. During our first morning some Mule deer joined us for breakfast, while they bedded down about 50 yards away we had eggs and bacon. The camp host's are very friendly and hospitable. Bathrooms and showres were very clean and the fish cleaning table was great for all of the perch we caught.

Hardly any public access. Just a very basic camp site.

For a camping experience it was too open for me. I enjoy at least some dividers between myself and other campers. Other than that very well maintained and for that 5 stars to the ranger and his crew.

Billie Jo Meyers

Very friendly and relaxing park

LOUIE MEJIA

Awsome family camping location. With excellent fishing right from the dock. Kids will love it.

It is mainly for fishing, but I did like the beaches and long drives through endless beauty. Full hook up sites just on rocks, I will get a back in regular site next time.

Steven Havner

We Love this state park, it is clean and the staff is very friendly, we go at least once a year! The near 3 hour drive from Spokane is very worth it in my opinion.

Cory Pritchard

Great campground

Suzanne Philpott

Nice Park , very well maintained. Great fishing.

Sheri Tilley

This is a great park!! The park staff take meticulous care of the grounds, it's so clean and really green (which is amazing considering the long dry season they have had). A great boat launch and dock, a swimming beach, hiking trails, clean bathrooms/showers and mule deer that come right into your campsite. Most spaces have some lake view and the fishing was good. Cute town of Republic has everything you need including a great brewery -which thankfully has wifi because the park area has no service.

Great park!!! Clean, lots to do

Craig Grosinger

Park and lake were great, our fellow campers were awful (allowing their kids to run wild)

Travis Debunk

Great tent and rv sites. BYO boat.

Dean McPherson

The park is fine but the campground host we're very loud always driving that Gator thing around or the lawn mower they couldn't walk 10 ft they'd have to drive everywhere they go, very annoying.

Michelle Nicholson

The park is easy to find right off Hwy 21. Small town nearby with groceries and other supplies. The full hookup sites are disappointing – nothing but gravel and very close together. Firepit is in back of the site in common grass area. The partial hookup sites are much nicer with lots of room between sites. Some really nice walk-in tenting sites along the lake shore. Good boat launch, docks right by campground. Nice lake stocked with trout. Camp host on site and lots of birds to watch. Some easy hiking trails with great lake views. There are lots of “No Hunting” signs in the campground, apparently this park is heavily used by hunters during fall hunting seasons. The park is clean, with plenty of grass and some shade for hot days. Picnic area with muddy beach is a moderate walking distance from campground. Not a great place for swimming. Life jackets honesty program for kids and various planned activities available.

Brian Corbett

Nice park, the lake could use a better swimming beach, slimy bottom and way too much goose pooooop

Jason Peterson

Very helpful and friendly hosts, clean bathrooms and showers. Many of the camps are away from the parking, so if you want to park next to your tent you should check to make sure the site you book is what you are ok with. Also, no cell service at the lake but if you hike up to the airport you might find a signal there like I did.

Jennifer Howard

This place is great! Good fishing, quiet, secluded, and cool little camping spots.

Alejandro Samir León O.

Great and quiet place... super clean! It is totally recommended, my spot was number 75.

Dawn McPhee

I love the private restroom they have there! They have always had hot water and it only costs a couple bucks( if that!)to have a nice hot shower...& that is important when u live in remote mountain communities, where the power & water companies haven't gotten to yet(AKA: off-grid)! This state park is AWESOME!

Tony Evert

The camping site was quite a walk from where we could park the vehicle, which we had expected, we had site number 52, something the map doesn't show is that its way up on quite a hill. That was quite a surprise! that said there was lots of grass and it was a large pleasant spot. Most of the campers it seemed were from Spokane and a few from Seattle. There's a really nice rail trail on the opposite side of the lake. We drove to the North end, unloaded the bicycles, and then cycled down to the South end of the lake. It was a pleasant ride with the kids, and quiet easy and level. The trestle at the North end was great to bike over, and not scary at all. The biggest disappointment was the water. It was full of lake weeds pretty much everywhere we saw throughout the lake, even the swimming area, and really gross. The swimming beach had lots of goose droppings. It was bad enough that my kids didn't want to swim any more after trying it initially, even though we live in the country and are used to wild situations and stuff. Overall we had a good time. The campground hosts were really nice, and the bathrooms and showers were decent. However we probably won't be going back. There are so many other places we like better.

James Hoover

Great place for kids to run around! Very clean. Definitely coming back!

Garry Gregorius

Love the campground very clean and quiet. We had deer walk right into our campsite. Fishing at Curlew Lake is always great!

Cali4real

Well maintained

Paul Bryant

Nice quiet campground

Thomas Wright

Nice little campground tucked away on the lake. Camp hosts were nice and very helpful. Grounds were very nicely kept up. Fishing was great. The swimming area is a long ways from the RV camp sites and has some hills to contend with. Very quiet little park.

Amy Kinnunen

A really long drive from Seattle but well worth it. Nice camping sites, great fishing and wildlife all over the park.

Christian Novoa

Algae all over the lake no swim dock and no service, dry dead grass and skunk issues

Victor Trussell

We camped om the Memorial Day weekend arriving late on Saturday. A ranger helped us get a feel for the park. Plenty of good campsite s still available. Set up tent on soft grass. Very nice. Clean restrooms. Beautiful park.

Will Campbell

Campsites are great. Could use a playground for the younger kids. Camp ground hosts were delightful. Little to no cell service here, so expect to disconnect!! Very disappointed in the area around the public beach. Multiple areas with dog poop (seriously people, clean up after your pets!!) public beach area had a crazy amount of invasive lake weeds. We ended driving 20 or so miles to Swan Lake in the National forest area. Great place to swim and float!!

Tonya Smith

Nice friendly staff and great fishing

Was traveling and needed a place to stay. This place was a pleasant surprise. Pros: Very nice camp hosts, ice and ice cream sold at the campground, clean bathrooms with coin operated showers, lots of sites that are next to the lake or at least with views of the lake, the lake water was perfect for a dip on a 97 degree day but watch out for goose poo. Cons: bathrooms are located very far from some of the sites, the power boat traffic goes late into the night and starts up way too early in the morning (6:30am), there seemed to be a party going on over near the RV area that went well beyond 10:00 which would bother me if I were in a nearby campsite, not much privacy at all at any of the sites so fingers crossed on getting a good neighbor.

richard Graham

Great fishing with nice sites

Brother Bear Sister Bear

Very friendly staff. Sites were not private at all and the water wasn't inviting to swim in even though it was extremely hot while we were there.

william gaither

Great camping lots of space and grass to enjoy

Laurence Hudson

Spent a great week here, camping and playing in the water

Taylor Myers

Great fishing opportunities! Caught a ton of perch and small bass off of the shoreline. Dogs are allowed, staff was very on top of thongs. Trash cans were emptied several times a day. Evening time they would make rounds asking if everyone had enough ice or firewood for the night . Shower is available, bathroom was extremely clean. Spots are a bit close to each other, although that is to be expected at a state park. The dock was within feet from our campsite. There is a day use area where you can enjoy a dip in the water although I would not recommend that. All of the shorelines were willed with nasty, slimy algae.

Very nice and clean campground! It has showers and from my experience, you get quite a bit of time for the money on them. We didn’t luck out with fishing but I’ve heard from many that it’s an excellent fishing lake. Great views. Tent only campsites are nice just off the lake, but you have to walk about 30-40 yards from the car to the site. I would recommend this place. Was on the expensive side, I think it was 25$ for one tent campsite...

Anita Sanders

Family favorite

Brad Meyer

Great place to enjoy the lake. The family goes here every year. Only complaint is the random issues with the power and poorly groomed camp sites full of gravel. Overall a great place full of wonderful memories.

The lake is kind of nasty to swim in and the trails were not kept up. Maybe I was inn the wrong spot, but it didn't seem like a big posse either.

The lake was really full of algae this year (2019)

Beautiful park. All the camping sites are located by the water. You don't have much privacy but a lot of room. Restrooms and showers are clean.
