This Park is classified in the category of State park.
Very nice quiet place
Clean and barnacle rocks on most of the ocean front
Great rocky beach. Kids had lots of little crabs to catch
Did not stay here, just accidentally happened upon it while exploring. So... I cannot say to any amenities. Beautiful park. Lots of places around for exploring
Very beautiful place to visit whether you are alone or with people. Plenty of restrooms for families, nice beach access. There is also another entrance that is more of a grassy park with barbeque areas for picnics. Nice trails to walk along and explore. I happened to see a jellyfish washed up on the beach.
This is a fantastic state park. Good amount of privacy with the RV pull through sites. The trails are easy to walk which border the campground. We'll be back for sure.
We stayed at the camp area, which is well organized and clean. The bathrooms have showers and cleaned daily.
Day use was nice. Campsites were ok. Many were small and not very level. We had a nice water view and privacy in 12
Big and beautiful
Great place on a warm sunny day
Beautiful views of the sound and surrounding islands. The "beaches" are rocky, with little or no sand. Restrooms are newer and well maintained. There are RV sites, but few are level and generally not larger rig friendly.
An amazing place for a weekend get away. Great spot to go camping! Also has 2 beach access places that are less than a 5 minute drive down to! Camping in also easy for people who have RVs or trailers. There is also places around for you to go fishing (requires a Discovery Pass, can be purchased at a local Fred Meyer or Cabellas). Lots of great hiking trails to go on too!
Had a family picnic at the park. Good hotdogs, hotdogs, brawts and beer
Beautiful but crowded.
Well groomed and quiet. Lots of beach combing to do.
Beautiful and refreshing. Kids had a great time hiking around trails and looking for crabs on the beach. Storm rolled in and even that was beautiful and fun. Will be coming back soon.
They have really nice park benches. Would come again.
Great place, good launch
Beautiful place to hang out at the beach! New bathrooms are great with changing area etc.
I love this place! I took my children and now I take my grandchildren. You always see eagles n nothing more beautiful than when the sun goes down over the water!
The forest hear is FULL of blackberries that you can pluck right off of the bush and eat! Western Washington is covered in blackberry bushes and they make a great hiking snack!
Very nice park
No hookups, but if you can boondock for the weekend, this was a great spot with fairly private spots and amazing views. We stayed in spot 17 in March and it was only $20 a night with the discover pass. Beach access is a 10 minute walk but well worth it. Picnic tables on the beach as well.
Nice and quiet but some of the sites are steep.
Beauty island
Ocean butterfly:) Love this place.... quiet and beautiful!
One of the better camping grounds we've camped in. Hiking trails abound including a quick one down to the Saratoga Passage. Ample bushes and trees around our campsite (and from what I saw, most campsites) made it feel separated enough from our neighbors. My only complaint is like all other camp sites on WA, it books up pretty fast. Also, don't forget your Discover Pass if you plan to visit even for just the day.
Beautiful park, beautiful view from a trail. Must have a discover pass.
This is my all-time favorite park in the state of Washington. I am nostalgic of course having lived on Camano for almost 20 years. But it is beautiful great places for hiking , camping and just being with nature.
Nice BBQ & RV Parking, nice for family outing!
Great place but like much of Washington's hidden gems the masses have discovered it. Pretty busy.
Late season campouts are the best. There's less people and much quietier. Most of the campsites have little to no privacy. The park is well maintained.
Great place to visit. My wife and I stayed over night in the campground. The spot offers some hiking trails around the campground. The best part is the water access. Great for kayaking, paddleboarding, or anything else water related.
Beautiful place fun with loved ones or friends!
Pretty nice camping facility. Nice, clean bathrooms. They appear to us tokens, though. Close and convenient for a quick getaway from the city!
Great little state park with wooded trails and rocky shores. Easy to get to and accessible with a Discovery Pass or $10 daily pass.
Love Camano island state park! Lived there for four seasons in 2017. The best place to camp and have ocean front property! The Rangers are awesome and they have a great staff! Bathrooms are always clean!
Fantastic state park with cabins you can rent right on the water. Used to be an old fishing lodge that the state took over and now is running. There are several trails that hike along the waterside and a restaurant on site well if you need a bite to eat.
This is a beautiful and well taken care of park. The beach and the many trails will keep you coming back!
Nice place to let dogs walk a bit
Great camping and hiking. We had a 26ft trailer and stayed at 58 host was also very helpful!
Beautiful beach space. Very clean with modern amenities. Perfect for a scenic picnic.
Because all of the fun things to do there
We are beginning our two month stint at Camano Island SP. I can already tell that this will be a fabulous Fall. Come visit for a day or a week, memories for a lifetime.
We love it here, our place for rest and relaxation. Nature lover this is your place to be.
Beautiful nice place to hang around
Nice view. Easy water access.
Very nice view
Beautiful and peaceful! Has lots of picnic tables and also has bathrooms.
Awesome park for tent camping and beach access. No rv hookups but still great. The cabins are nice and make a great getaway for a family. Lots of trails to explore and wildlife to see.
Beautiful park. Was bought and renovated by the public back in the day. If they try to make you pay, let them know the public already bought the land!
Good facilities, clean, relaxing!
Oh my... Pulled into park and lower loop of campground totally unlevel and extremely hilly! Also, backing in near to impossible unless you enter loop going wrong way? Too much angle and not enough space to prevent jack knife! End of loop not much better but finally site 37 is partially level for my 18 foot trailer with enough space to back in. However... Restrooms were extremely clean, Aide, Hosts and Ranger Heather were very helpful and personable, Day use area at beach beautiful and Restrooms also immaculate. Sitting on beach, water smells of salt as an ocean should and view really comforting. Awesome park for Day Use
Lovely place to spend outdoors
Beautiful, loved the bluff lookouts!
I want for the weekend this past week. Amazing. Words cannot describe the beauty of this island. We had a small miter home and stayed 2 night for only 50.00. Plus a second car driven with handy cap plate was not charged a separate few. It was so close to the beach and you could see the water from our camp sight. If your looking for a quick get away. Camano is the place to go. Thank you Comano Island State Park!
Some views are stupendous. Nice Rocky beach.
Beautiful state park
Great day at the park with hubby. He is in josphene care facility and he gets a 4 hour window for outings. so our daughter and her fiance and our 1st Grandbaby went to the beach. Good day to know God has a plan for us all.
Great getaway from the hustle and bustle
Not waterfront as advertised, bring your own wood it's expensive! No sign of the campground host the 4 nights we were there in August
Absolutely breathtaking views. Hiking, boating, bird watching, camping, etc. Absolutely beautiful place!
Gorgeous waters and faciliries.
Forest and saltwater pretty fantastic
A nice break from the city!
Beautiful state park. We stopped by a few times on our vacation and ate lunch out on one of the many picnic benches. Very clean, nice trails, and beautiful views. The day we stopped out they offered a pass free day so was free to visit!
Great for short hikes.
Camino Island is a very nice park. The beaches, biking, camping and cabins are always enjoyable.
Great shell beach, first come first serve camping and showers that are FREE
A beautiful place! Rocky beach and great place for a walk.
Easy access, nice campground. Beautiful gravel beach.
Beautiful park definitely would recommend this place
Great park right by the water. I wish there were RV hookups.
Wonderful spot for watching seabirds and eagles, good views of Whidbey Island in the sunset.
Perfect for family camping. Nice easy trails. Nice for boating
I absolutely love this park. Can't wait to go back!
Love this park..
This is a wonderful park! We even saw whales passing through Saratoga Passage from our campsite last night!
Lovely Washington State Park. Rocky beach, not far to walk from parking lot near boat launch. Very clean restrooms
Beautiful state park. Well kept and smart ranger staff
Amazing place
Beautiful place, great place to fish.
My dog loves it, so by default...
Awesome Park is awesome.
GR8
Hide your valuables when you visit here. Someone busted the window in my sister's car in broad daylight when she visited this park for less than an hour. They stole her purse and went on a spending spree with her credit cards.
Beautiful view and nice beach. It was ruined by small uneven campsites and rude neighbours. Toddlers and children were screaming for hours. Camp host did nothing and was no where to be found. Don't camp here!
Nice campground and a great place to take the family. Spent the weekend in a tent with 2 kids... found plenty to do and beach to walk on. Be prepared to do some stairs and walking... found plenty of space and time around the campfire. I'm looking forward to our return visit.
Good place to go camping
Nice park with beach access. Can be a lot quieter than other San Juan islands. Nice camping in a peaceful setting in the trees. Could use a couple more trail options on longer trips.
The view at the beach was amazing and very peaceful super clear water. But the ambiance was quickly ruined due to how crowed the beach got. We got there at around 2pm and by 3pm the whole beach was taken over. Not worth the drive from Seattle. Just go to Alki Beach.
Beautiful views. Nice bike trails. The camping sites were clean. Loved it.
Beautiful beach, peaceful place to just go to relax
Very nice and accommodating. Close by.
Very well maintained and very nice spot for relaxing.
Nice park by the water, frequently deserted and perfectly quiet
No more public camping.. only by reservation now.. ugh
A nice cool day with my sweetheart, out taking pictures, looking for the elusive Bald Eagle. No luck today, we'll return another day for another try.
Camino Island State Park is a nice park to visit. Lots of good trails to walk on. I found the Al Emerson Nature Trail very interesting for a nature walk.
Beautiful place!
Beautiful area. Great camping and rock hunting.
Beautiful beaches and super clean public non gender restrooms!!
Beautiful beach with a rocky shoreline. Spacious, clean restrooms. Picnic tables, large grassy area, 2 boat ramps, biking and hiking trails. We were there on a hot day and there was a lovely cool breeze coming in off the water.
The park is fun to hang out in, there are a Lot of trees and the beach has great access. Here's the bad part, our campsite smelled like sewage from the septic drain field, the individual sites where not flat so we rolled off our mattress at night, let alone the roots and uneven ground around our site. The camp host was rude and unhelpful. This campground could be the best around of they just updated and flattened the sites and cleared some of the underbrush to make the sites bigger.
My wife & I think this park is a true gem in the near-Seattle area. The drive into the park is great Northwest forest, abiut a mile of forest beauty, to the boat launch area. Lots of great water-side places near the boat ramp to just sit and observe miles of the Sound, the Olympics ... even the upper part of Mt Rainier on clear days. Weekends can be busy, but we always find a water-side spot even on busy days, and weekdays are amazingly light number of people, even on perfect days. It's a bit of a drive from I-5, but such a great escape of the city that we never regret.
Camano Island state park. Always a good visit on a warm sunny day.
Beautiful and peaceful place to camp. Just be sure to check out the site before booking. Some really done have great spots for tents
Very loud. Lots of screaming toddlers. Beautiful beach though.
The Rangers are so friendly and helpful. The park itself is awesome and there's a lot to do! I highly recommend it!!!!
Family friendly woth a.stunning. iew of you choose the right campsites.
Trails are hard to follow, but beautiful and scenic and variety of flat and steep trails. Easy beach access and camping. Peaceful and quiet.
Nice view on the beach but the trails were not well marked and there was a house or another structure every few yards. Also, somewhat loud. Lastly, our reserved group campsite was double booked and we had to go take another 4-5 sites elsewhere in the park.
Went out to practice pulling our tribal canoe and had a blast. I enjoy being here for Canoe Practice.
Great place and view it was empty had a bbq that was awesome easy walk to the beach
Big park with lots to do
Nice and peaceful location. We were there on new year's day so it wasnt really crowded.
A lot of nice hiking trails! Beautiful park! The beach is a bit rocky for me but still nice on a beautiful summer day!
Great beach, picnic area. Well maintained.
A solid 1/5. Be prepared for huge groups on small camp spots spilling over into your side. Generators started at 6:30am. They let way too many people in and it's not pleasant at all. Otherwise it's beautiful. Lots of potential but the lack of regulation leaves chaos in its stead.
Wonderful trail for walking
A beautiful place to picnic.
Had a great view and was a great place to camp. Plan on several more camping trips before the season is over.
Best place for peace and quiet and views that blow your mind.
Great views
Nice park
Good camping location for almost anyone. Rustic camping, glamping cabins (showers, electricity, fridge), lots of trails, beach, nice views, fishing and friendly rangers.
Beautiful trails amongst the trees as well as shores to enjoy the ocean
So beautiful
We camped out here and had so much fun. The trees, the ocean, the stars. So inlove! Will be back soon as possible
Beautiful and close to home to camp out.
Nice boat launch location. Use this launch and head just south of baby island and throw out some crab pots by the houses on the beach. You will eating Dungeness crab in no time!
Well-appointed campground with a nice selection of short scenic trails. No bears. Good for a weekend getaway from Seattle.
Nice park. Go check out
This State Park on beautiful Camano Island, is a true hidden gem.
The view is never the same. Love to walk the beach
Beautiful! Great trails and nice beach. The bathroom is down at the beach.
Great place to camp, launch a boat, or just hang out at the beach. Beautiful and lots of wildlife to be seen.
Close to home, clean camping and a beautiful walk to the each.
Lovely park! Been a very long time since we had been here and we loved being back! Something for everyone! If your lucky you might even see whales swimming by! So neat!
JET NOISE!! My trip was ruined by incessant thunder from the military jets. They should be more responsible about where they fly over. In one day of hiking I heard (a guess) over 100 really loud jets. It was frequently a constant rumbling lasting several minutes at a time. Not why I went into the wilderness. Trip utterly destroyed.
Nice park!
New fee machine for parking and boat launch
One of my favorite hometown parks.
beautiful place for crabbing
Awesome clean facilities, complete with changing table and bench in each stall.
I came for the scenery, I was not disappointed!
A clean, relaxing park. Beautiful beach with lots of Driftwood and tons of picnic tables, I also saw one BBQ grill next to a picnic table on the beach. They have life vests available at a kiosk next to the beach parking lot. Several restrooms located throughout the park. As well as the beach, there are also several parking areas and pull offs located on the forested road, with trails that branch out into the forest. Beautiful park year round. Discover Pass required.
Beautiful park. Best boat launch on the island. Killer sunsets.
This was an amazing place and my kids loved it!! Beautiful and very clean!
Just beautiful. plus bathrooms are decent.
When on camano island no visit would be complete without a visit to this park. It's beautiful and well kept. Many hiking trails or walk on the beach. The camp grounds are all clean and laid out nicely. This is a nice relaxing place to visit and usually isn't so crowded as bigger city beach parks.
Narrow roads, sites not very level, quiet, amphitheater, but not much else. Great for tenters, hikers, boaters. Not super expensive. Lots of water balloon litter on our site, which we cleaned up. Worried about birds eating them.
Love it. It's a great place to enjoy the afternoon.
Great place to go, especially to launch a boat and go crabbing, seeing whales, etc.
Fantastic older park, lots to do great views.
Beautiful scenery . Gorgeous vista's. Specious camp site.
Beautiful beach with lots of picnic tables and easily accessible restrooms. Nice boat launch as well.
Got stranded for 3 hours because of a low tide, but it was a great place to be stuck
