This Park is classified in the category of State park.
Nice family park especially in a daytime usually after 5 p.m. it starts windy By the way very nice ranger
Quiet, peaceful. A great place to unwind from the city hubbub and hopefully gain some much needed serenity.. Also acquire some tribal history. Back in the day, this was a fishing village.
Beautiful, even in winter. Clean, cozy cabins, and the campground restrooms were clean and homey. I didn't need to shower while we were there, so I can't comment on the coin-operated showers, but I peeked into one and it seemed clean and nice.
Fun place with family and friends!
Park is good but the cabins had bugs, the beds made tons of sound, and heating was sub-par.
Easy access to the beach for everyone. Including people challenged with disabilities. Fun little cabins line the shore. The old wooden boat house where you can still rent little boats adding a bit of nostalgia. The wild life is exceptional. Wonderful place to bring the whole family.
I've come here for the last two year and it's been a great quiet getaway.
Nice place. The cabins are well kept up and warm. Though if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs! Bathroom facilities are clean and in good shape, and they have some decorations to make them prettier. Showers are good. But some stay lukewarm, some get nice and hot. You do need quarters for showers, and the office isn't always open. There is also a restaurant, gift shops, and boat rental. I didn't really look at any of these other than to get quarters, which they were very kind to do as they were already closing. The beach is good. They have some rockier areas. And it is a small beach, but it is a beach :) The water is calm lapping waves. They also have some grassy areas near the beach for games, picnics, and the like. They have a fire pit or two out there. They also have (fire) grills, quite a lot of them, for grilling your food. My darling and I came here in late fall, so it was pretty quiet for most of the time. And, as mentioned, the cabins were able to stay nice and toasty warm. Kitchenette, sink, and 3/4 fridge (in ours,) a table and 4 chairs, a full size bed and a bunk bed which was full and twin, I believe. To Cama Beach, high 5!
Attended a wedding here. Have been multiple times for different events. Its beautiful scenery, and a great place to visit for the outdoors on the water
Beautiful
We went to the Center for Wooden boats for mother's day and got to sail in a pelican and make little wooden toy boats! The Center for Wooden boats has events happening other days of the week too and making a toy boat is just a suggested $5 donation and totally worth it. (backdrop is not at the beach, it's my own once I we got home I wanted to take cute photos of all our boats)
Such a beautiful location! We arrived at 11 a.m. on a Friday in the off season and the park was virtually deserted! We had the run of the park and trails. It was heavenly. We didn't go far, but the areas we did hike were well maintained, easily accessible, and had incredible views. I am looking forward to exploring again in the spring!
Great facilities. Awesome staff. So much to see and do if you're outdoorsy. A must for hikers and walkers, abundance of trails. We forgot to bring wood, they have 2 community fire pits that they had stocked wood in. We brought chairs, didn't need em, picnic tables and benches everywhere. Loved the cafe, service was a little slow but the food and coffee was top notch and we weren't in a hurry. We went in November, so it was off season and quiet.
Great beach in the ocean. Lots of excellent trails. Love this place!
My friends and I love staying in a cabin here every year during Winterfest ♡ it is one of my most favorite new traditions!
A quiet beach with a laid back atmosphere. The people at the boat rental are friendly and knowledgeable. The parks staff are a wealth of interesting information. Only downside is that the beach is rocky, not sandy.
Such a wonderful place. Kindest staff who go the extra mile to make sure guests are comfortable.
I love it in there omg awesome
Beautiful... Densely wooded forest, breathe taking incline changes
This place is mostly for folks who have reserved the lodges. Not enough parking, not enough area for kids to play.
Rustic but clean. Very peaceful.
Amazing place best sunset around! very friendly employee's! Great beach just to hangout and skip rocks!
I love this place, it's so relaxing when it's not too much people around...
Beautiful setting, wonderful cafe with fresh baked goods, coffee, breakfast/lunch. There is a shuttle to take people from parking lots to cafe/beach. Great cabins on the beach are available. This is a great pace to come with family or solo.
Nice park! Gravel beach
Stayed with the family for a long weekend and we loved it. Lots for the kids to explore and the sound of the ocean was just perfect. Staff were very friendly and the their were neat little things to do locally everyday. The cabins are cozy and comfortable. We stayed in early February and can't wait to come back in the summer. Only piece of advice for new visitors; make sure you pack things that can be easily transported. No cars are allowed down to the cabins so you have to load your gear into the shuttle or carry it down from the parking lots (about a 5 minute walk uphill).
Fun walk around the three beach and cabins... Works love to stay here for a couple of days
Had a blast with my wife and kids. Probably will go again at some point.
Beautiful Beach to go visit or stay over night !
Simply beautiful!
It's a nice park to go on hike trail.
This is great outdoor place just 1.5 hours of drive from Seattle. We stayed in the cabin and it was really great experience. Cabins were awesome and great place to stay with family. Staff and shuttle drivers were awesome. Restrooms were clean and only problem was shower rooms as coin system was not really working. We had tons of fun.
Its on vrbo great price
Top notch family camping. We went with several other families and all had a blast.
We've rented a cabin for the past three summers. It's a wonderful place!
Easy parking, friendly park rangers, well maintained trails, and enough beauty to leave you in awe! Towering trees blotted out the Sun as we trekked through the forest. There is such diversity here. Every square inch of forest Is teeming with life. The forest grows right down to the water where grand views of the Puget Sound are almost too big to take in. We combed the beach and found several beautiful shells to add to my daughter's collection. The park hosts numerous cabins available for rent that are just feet from the quiet waters lapping at the shore. All in all, we had a great time bordering on the magical. The trails are easy to maneuver and are very well maintained. The staff were very informative and helpful. The park is pristine and interesting to explore. Immerse yourself in the forest away from the noise and hassle here and enjoy!
Fun for the family
Amazing! Went their for my brothers wedding and stayed in the cabins on the beach! Was a lot of fun! And they've got a restaurant up the hill for an amazing breakfast! Definitely coming back when the weather gets warmer!
Off the beaten track. One of a kind. Great little place with a ton of character. Definitely make a visit and the cafe is a amazing as well. We loved our meal on their deck. Fishing cabin village with overnight rentals...right on the Sound. Great drive on and to Camano Island.
One of the best state parks!! So much to do and so much to see. Highly recommend getting a cabin and relax and enjoy!
Great beachcombing, nice trails and many amenities. The park ranger at the main office was super informative about the entire area.
Made a day trip up to Camano Island and stopped by. This is a great place to walk the beach and enjoy the puget sound. There's also a bunch of clam shells that wash up on the beach, it's great fun to try and find unique shells to keep as a souvenir.
Excellent State Park! It was quiet and clean with a lovely beach for the kids. It was so much fun participating in the great glass race (looking for glass floats) and the whole family enjoyed searching for over a dozen geocache that were hidden. We had so much fun that we booked another trip.
Cama Beach is a great place to visit, peaceful and kid friendly. Many activities for kids during the summer. Great to stay overnight or walk the trails and enjoy lunch.
Beautiful park on the ocean. Great views of distant mountains. Forest with old growth trees is so peaceful.
Cama Beach state park is a great place to bring a family. Beautiful in July
Walk in to the cabins right on the water (you park above). Small ones use bathrooms in an adjacent building. Larger cabins have kitchens and bathrooms. You really are on the beach here. Rent a boat from the annex of Center for Wooden Boats livery.
Truly charming and rustic.
Great camp grounds. First come first served. Super
Relaxing and beautiful and good hiking
Beautiful views. Handicap friendly.
A blast for the whole family!
Peaceful, beautiful. It was a really nice stop-off on our drive through the area.
Beautiful, rustic, family friendly beach cabins.
Beautiful scene.
Overall the facility and surroundings are lovely. But there are a couple important things that would be helpful if posted on the reservation website ahead of time, not at the last minute on site or on the confirmation email. Cars aren't allowed at the cabins. You have to park up a steep hill in a parking lot and the shuttle (helpful with decent hours) will take you to and from your cabin or even the cafe, etc. Typically the shuttle doesn't allow dogs but the driver was very friendly and my dog sat on my lap. If you want to get your car you can call the shuttle or if after hours walk up the hill. As of May 2019, Ellie, the elephant seal, is molting on the beach feet away from the cabins so they have a pretty big section of the property and beach taped off. Call ahead of time for more information. Fire rings aren't easily accessible to the cabins. In fact, I looked for them but didn't see any. If you're looking for a personal campfire, they don't have them. Trails are beautiful. Front desk meh :/ Cabins as described although they expect you to clean them upon leaving or they will charge $75.00.
Awesome place, we went for a friend's wedding. The staff was so very helpful, kudos to John he was great! The Lodge is a perfect place for a medium sized wedding. Be prepared to use the shuttle to get from your car to your cabin, so pack well. The small cabins do not have bathrooms but the facilities are close by. Rooms are comfy. You must clean them when you are done. I hope to make it back again!
Great location. Cabins on the beach or you can camp in the forest. Facilities are clean.
You can rent out cottages for get aways. There is a beach, every pretty area by the ocean.
For just a recon visit for future fun it looked great. Trails and beaches, clean and quiet. Only downer is the beach cabins feel like they would be right on top of each other. 5-10' apart, absolutely no privacy. I didn't see firepits, rings or bbq's either.
Excellent location for camping, hiking, beach combing, and relaxing. Rent a boat and catch your own crab for dinner.
Very fun even though it was cloudy and not very good weather it was still a good vacation getaway to take a newborn rather than sleeping in a tent...Would have given it 5 stars however there are only four cabin that they allow dogs in and they are always taken and I would have rather got a bungalow with a fireplace because I had to stay up all night feeling like I was adding wood to an electric heater by turning it up when it go to cold because the thermostat wasn't working. I wouldn't mind going back and enjoying this during the summer however I bet it's more packed then.
Great park you can stay the night in a cabin or visit for the day. Fun place to explore.
Vi visited for a few hours. Hanging out on the beach. But we also managed to rent a row boat and build some toy boats with the kids.
Wish I could have stayed more than a day in one of their rustic cabins by the sea.
Beautiful and clean!
Unique and fun park on the beach on the west side of Camano Island. Parking lots are up on the hill, with frequent and free shuttles down to the beach, cabins, etc. The cabins are in high demand, so make reservations well in advance. The park property extends across West Camano Drive, where there are awesome trails.
Really fun and easy trails to walk. Good for families, hikers and bikers alike. Deft worth coming out to see. Bring a Discovery Pass (or buy one when u arrive).
Fun for all. Big chess, cornhole, horseshoes and the beach. The cabins are a little too close for me, other than that, it was great.
Great little getaway relatively close to Seattle
Loved it beautiful spot
Very fun beach to throw rocks in the water with kids. The hiking trail to Cranberry Lake is very kid-friendly at 1.4 miles or so.
Awesome State Park.
The cabins were just adorable and the sunset was beautiful!!!
The State Park is beautifully located. A complementory shuttle is operated between visitor parking and the beach where cozy cabins can be rented. Seems to be a great fishing spot too. Nice shoreline where you can relax and let your kids play.
Fabulous find, and so close to home!! While it was foggy and rainy the entire weekend, it was so quiet and lovely. The Cafe has great food, wonderful owner and staff!! I wouldn't go during the high season of summer, but as a getaway in the off season it was fantastic!! Hiking trails are nice, and well maintained, easy and flat. No cars next by the cabins, they shuttle you down, so pack accordingly! No stoves, just mircrowave, so again plan well. We'll go again soon!
Secluded
First visit. Albeit short in duration, invigorating walk and beautiful scenery!
Great!! But feel a little nickel and dimed.
Great state park. Small but well maintained network of trails, lots of camping areas and cabins.
Beautiful Beach
Foodbis delicious!!
We stayed during a winter storm one December in the quaint little cabin, wind blowing thru the door, and waves splashing up and over the bulk head, it made for a very memorable experience. Such a step back in time!
I love staying in the cabins, it's such a peaceful and beautiful place.
This coastal forest and Beach area has a bit for everyone. There are trails for hiking, cabins you can rent by the shore and a shop that rents and repairs wooden boats you can take out. There's also a nice looking cafe atop the hill.

Gorgeous!
Lovely paths and views of Puget Sound.
We love coming here.. especially the boathouse.. the cabins are awesome too.
Beautiful. A must see
Nice beach, cabins for rent, cafe to eat at, trails to walk, wildlife to watch, beach treasures to be found.
Love Cama Beach! That hill, though. Not easy for those with mobility issues, though there is a shuttle.
Amazing park with 40 plus little cabins, delicious restaurant, lots of water activities, breathtaking views, and jaw dropping nature. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway.
Great park.
The boat ramp is in terrible shape it needs repair in the grangers do not bother to remove the gravel as often as they should
Beautiful and relaxing. Stay for the afternoon or the whole weekend and your sure to have a good time. Easy trails to hike with the kids as well!
Wonderful day out!
Quiet, rocky beach with a great view! A small hike to get to the beach from the parking lot, probably less than .5 mile. You do need your discover pass to park here.
The cabins are adorable and the setting is superb.
This is my favorite place to go for a walk. Lovely in any kind of weather. You can take a shuttle down to the beach and have a lovely, gentle, flat walk. Of if you want more exercise there are trails with more incline.
Wonderful!
Beautiful park. Had a blast renting a wooden boat!
Cama beach is our favorite place to just hang out and relax. Just be aware that not all cabins have bathrooms but the public ones are easily accessible and clean. Showers are 50 cents per minute. There are a few trails that are easily accessible. The park people are amazing. But the best thing is that you're right on the water.
The bluff trail smells lovely at night, great view of the other islands!
What a beautiful place to watched sunset and rise :)
Lovely walk from the Cafe to the beach. Still lots more to see.... Will return shortly
Went for a random drive and decided to veer off I-5 because at some point, I've seen the cabins from the water. Stopped in and bought a discovery pass, and was given a lot of good information and a map from the worker. We drove down to the lowest parking lot, walked about 500 feet, and saw the beautiful beach and the cabins look very inviting. I can't wait to stay in the cabins and check it out!
We went there for a wedding, and it was a great experience. We stayed in one of the cabins. It was an old cabin but updated inside. The walls were thin, but I used my ear plugs and eye masks , so sleeping wasn’t an issue. Overall, I had a great time there.
Saw a grey whale! It took several attempts but April 19, 2018 it happened 30' off shore. Here's my daughter's reenactment
Such a beautiful place. Used to be a private campground. Cabins for rent on the beach. Fabulous food at the Cama Beach Cafe, including seasonal outside dining with great views. Cama Beach also boasts a beautiful hall, or event center if you like rustic, with views of Puget Sound. Onsite shop sells Discover passes, hoodies, t-shirts, etc.
Clean and very well taken care of.
Built in the thirties so I think they are going to be here a while.
Not much to see but rocks and seaweed.
I've been employed here and obviously visited. I can confidently say that there are no "swept under the rug" situations. There is a shuttle that runs from the top of the park to the bottom where the beach and cavins are. Boat rental available in the summer for the anglers. Activities include horseshoe, volleyball, hiking, and park things in general. Bathroom are cleaned hourly (I would know)
What a great place! Loved it!
Great place to come out and enjoy nature. Plenty of cabins for rent and the Center for Wooden Boats is here and you can rent a row boat, kayak, canoe or sailboat. Lots of activities for kiddos and four-legged kids, too! Nice beach with great views of Whidbey Island. Can see seals and sometimes whales out in the water off the beach. Lots of hiking in the area, too. Nice canoe store by the cabins and a great little Cafe up the hill. Lots of volunteers working here and everyone is so friendly and helpful.
Lots of trees in the view We were seeking
Very nice hiking trails! Nice beach for picnic! Wear shoes, it is not a sandy beach! Even cabin rentals and boat rentals available @
Beautiful beach
Great walking
Nice place to stay
Yet another amazing day with my honey
Love all of the Beaches on the Oregon Coast!!! God's Country!!!
Nice location for a day trip or longer. The park office staff was very friendly and helpful.
Nice. Friendly people
Great hidden jem.
Rent the cabins at CAMA Beach!!!
Saw WHALES AND SEALS right off our deck. Watched a glorious sunset and woke up to the sound of waves crashing the beach! Love it!
This place is a total gem! We have been enjoying annually for 5 years now.
Gorgeous views, clean and well maintained trails and a wide variety of activities available.
I was floored by how incredible this park is. Simply amazing amenities, cabins, beaches, views, activities, and so much more. Stunning.
Awesome state park. Lots of trails. Beachfront cabins available. Cabins are on Saratoga Pass...perfect for whale watching
A very good place any time; you need a Discover Pass.
Saw 2 Bald eagles.
The water front cabins are a pleasure to stay in. The beach offer plenty of activities for the family and there miles of trails all over Camano Island for hiking. Came Beach is a very affordable and easy getaway!
Beautiful, peaceful and employees had a good attitude. Something all businesses should have. Thank you for your professional attitude. See you soon along with other people that would appreciate this great place and keep up the good attitude! .
Very large forested park. The rocky beaches are more, or less, available depending on the tide. Discovery Pass, or day pass needed. Day passes available at visitor center at entrance. Many hiking trails, some with lighting. Multiple paved parking areas. Multiple locations with restrooms. Multiple rentable cabins. Restaurant with modified hours of operation.
JET NOISE!! My trip was ruined by incessant thunder from the military jets. They should be more responsible about where they fly over. In one day of hiking I heard (a guess) over 100 really loud jets. It was frequently a constant rumbling lasting several minutes at a time. Not why I went to a park. Trip utterly destroyed.
I am speechless it is phenomenal you have to see to believe it's like stepping back in time
Nice rental shacks on the water
Excellent facilities. Very nice place to visit and very well taken care of.
We came here for mothers day for a picnic and a walk and it didnt disappoint. The parking situation is a little funky with tiny little parking spots scattered around and you would need to drive around to find places to park and where you can sit and eat but its worth the effort. There are a lot of beautiful places to get good landscape shots and do macro photography.
Beautiful place to visit.
A fabulous park, I love the rustic yet cozy cabins and the beach is beautiful. Thank you!
Great place. Trails. Beach. Cabins. And the cafe is outstanding!
Beautiful!
This was my first time to this State Park. We were geocaching here, and they have 16 geocashes in the 2 state parks on the island. We went to the Northern one to renew our Discovery pass. I discovered some really nice campgrounds and beautiful views. I will return when the weather is warmer.
1st visit to a neat park. Hilly terrain. Walks are moderate in difficulty. Nice center house. Shuttle bus service from parking lots.
Cool historical site. Cabins only, no camping. Beautiful. Wooden boat history and lessons in making. Great cafe.
Beautiful park along the Saratoga passage. Great little cabins that can be rented. Wooden boat shop and even a very nice place for breakfast on weekends.
Exciting newer parks with beach cabins and more
Gorgeous area
Beautiful park! The waterfront cabins are delightful cozy.
peace and quiet
Lots of summertime Edibles along the trails.
Friendly, good service, good food.
Stunning!
Wonderful! On the day we went we saw a seal on the beach!
